A Christmas Blessing

A Blessing At Christmas
Greetings My Friends;
On this the birthday of our Lord Jesus the Christ, the Holy Spirit put it in my heart to pronounce a blessing on everyone here and your families.
The Hebrew definition of blessing is, beautiful, best, better, bountiful, joyful, kindly, loving, merry, pleasant, prosperity, sweet, wealth, and health. God's definition is a declaration which empowers to prosper, and releases the power to bring the blessing to pass.
In the name of Jesus, and by His authority, I declare the following blessings on you and your family.
I declare your mind and heart to be open and renewed.
I declare total healing for your spirit, mind, and body.
I declare prosperity in everything you do.
I declare the Lords peace in your heart.
I declare freedom from the distractions of the world.
I declare salvation for you and those you love.
I declare love and peace in your family.
I declare freedom from lack, and any type of indebtedness.
I declare a wall of the blood of Jesus around you to protect you from all evil including satan.
I declare every good thing from the Lord.
I declare you have the knowledge of how much Jesus loves you.
And finally, the Lord bless you and keep you,  may the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you, and may the Lord have mercy on you and give you His peace.
I wish everyone a very happy Christmas, and remember Jesus loves you.

Blessing And Blood Covenant

Greetings My Friends;
One of the most abused words in the Bible is blessing. Most people do not know the true meaning of the word. Man-made doctrines and misguided definitions are so common that we even say bless you when someone sneezes.
The Hebrew definition of blessing is, beautiful, best, better, bountiful, joyful, kindly, loving, merry, pleasant, prosperity, sweet, wealth, and to be well. God's definition is a declaration which empowers us to prosper, and releases the power to bring the blessings to pass.
When we bless someone we are in effect  passing His power through us to achieve in the material world what has already happened in the spiritual world. If you analyze any blessing that God gave to man, and include these definitions, you can see how powerful the blessings are.
Because believers are saturated with the Spirit of God, He expects us to pass blessings and love to other people in His name.
A blood covenant was more than a contract. God always swore by Himself when He made a blood covenant with people like Adam and Abraham. The blood covenant involved pieces of sacrificed animals and their blood. The persons making the covenant walked between the pieces in a figure 8 and swore to the other party that if they, the one speaking, ever broke the blood covenant, that his blood should be as the animals that were sacrificed. That is the best definition I have found so far.
As you can see, blessings and blood covenants were not to be taken lightly. The Lord has empowered us to bless other people in His name, and He will back it up. If you love someone, bless them in Jesus name, and realize all of the great things  you are pronouncing over them. All of those blessings exist in the spirit world at the time you say, and will manifest in the material world.
When you give your word to someone, treat it as though it was a blood covenant. No matter what, do not go back on your word. You are using Jesus name when you give the blessing, or you make a covenant, so do it the way He expects.
God Bless You And Remember

Prayer of Salvation;
"Oh God in Heaven, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead. I receive Your Word, and I repent of sin. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth, cleansed and washed in the Word and in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen"

A Real Awakening

Greetings My Friends;
If you have been reading the Bible, listening to preachers, or reading books by preachers and scholars, you have probably found out that God is in you. That is a very exciting concept, but what does it really mean?
My wife and I have been reading a book by Kenneth Copeland called, That Blessing of the Lord from Proverbs 10: 22 which finishes up with makes rich and adds no sorrow with it. To me this book is a real eye-opener in the way it explains things like blessings and such.
He said that in his spirit he saw how Adam was brought to life. "When God spoke to Adam, he spoke right into his face. He didn't blow into his mouth to give him life. He just stood face to face with him. God's nose was right in front of Adams nose. His mouth was level with Adams. His eyes-the eyes of compassion himself-looking into Adam's eyes, seem to be pouring into him everything God is. All his love, light, life, goodness and mercy were begining to be fused into this man. God was merging into Adam His very being."
"He became a living, speaking spirit like God. As a living speaking spirit like God, man has the same power to speak that God himself has. He was full of God's own faith and had the authority to speak creative, compassionate words, and exercise dominion with them".
Well I got pretty excited when I read this. This was the third time I read this book, and each time I learned something. This description helped me to see how God is in me. Every cell in my body contains some of Jesus. I am saturated to the point that you couldn't tell which is mine, because I am Him.
I thought about a sponge. You put a sponge under a faucet, and it gets saturated with water. You can put that sponge anywhere, and if you give it a squeeze, the water will come out and saturate what you squeezed it on. The only difference in transferring the substance is that we are constantly filled with Jesus the living water.
When I thought about this and how it would work, I started to see the result with my spiritual eyes. I was merely a conduit for all the power of God. We are like a battery providing the power given to us by the ultimate source of that power.
This has put prayer into an even more exciting dimension. You don't have to try to believe, you just know without a doubt. I guess that is probably why people were healed when Peter's shadow fell on them. His shadow was a reflection of God's power through Peter.
When you put all of this together, it becomes much easier, to visualize the results of your prayer. If that isn't exciting, I don't know what is.
Praise the Lord!!!

Who is God

Greetings My Friends;
Today we will explore some of the characteristics of God. This will help us get a picture of how incredible He is. It isn't all He is, He is far bigger than any human can express.
God is a spirit. John 4:24. God is a spirit, and those who worship Him, must worship in spirit and truth.
God is love. 1 John 4:8. He who does not love, does not know God, for God is love.
God is omnipotent or absolute sovereign. Totally  complete control of everything. Psalm 83:18. Then they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the most high over all the earth.
God is perfect. Matthew 5:48. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your father in heaven is perfect.
God is righteous. Psalm 145:17. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, gracious in all his works.
God is merciful. Psalm 86:5. For you Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call on You.
God is compassionate(have pity or deal gently with) but the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not yet destroy them or cast them from His presence.
God is unequaled. Jeremiah 10:6. It is much as there is none like You, You are great and your name is great in might.
As I said in the beginning, no human can cover all of the greatness of God. The next few messages will cover more of the characteristics of our Lord. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit we will start to build toward a better relationship with God, by getting a better understanding of who He is.

Parents and Grandparents

Greetings My Friends;
This message is once again about something I learned over the years. It is taken from experience with my own children as well as some I have dealt with.
It doesn't take a genius to recognize the fact that Jesus loves children. The Bible says so. It is too bad many people do not realize what having children means. It is not uncommon for parents to just push their children aside because they feel they have more important things to do.
When the Lord blesses a couple with a child, He is putting that couple in charge of His most precious possession. The Lord expects that couple to help that child grow up to be what the Lord created it to be, and for that child to return to Him as an adult at the proper time.
Children are eager to learn, and yearn to be recognized. They need plenty of love. They cannot be ignored, or considered a burden. Every child needs a family, and will go where he feels that he has one. Yours or some gang?
We only go around once on this Earth, and we all make mistakes. Raising children is much more far-reaching than we imagine. The child we raise will become an adult someday and be what we taught him to be. You aren't just looking at your child, you are helping to form generations to come. Since we all pass on knowledge to the next generation, we are forming part of how the world will be in the future. Better or worse.
Start when they are born. Spend time with them as they grow. Make them a big part of your life. Do homework with them, read a Bible story from a children's book of Bible stories. Sit with them, show them the pictures, and ask them what they think is going on. Show them a loving family by example. Every day take time to listen to what they say. Don't ignore them or what they say or think. What would Jesus say about how you are taking care of what he gave you to do? Take the child to church.
Children don't love and respect you because you give them tons of stuff, and not yourself. Don't kid yourself. If you're a workaholic, don't say you are doing it for your family, you are doing it for you. Your family needs you more than your work does.
Imagine being a boy about 10 years old. The kids at school laugh at you because you can't throw a ball, sound like fun? I was involved with Little League for a couple of years. Every year a new batch of kids came to play. It didn't take long to figure out who had a father that took time with them, or had a stable home.
Grandparents sometimes get a second chance to do it right, by being interested in their grandchildren. There is no reason, that grandparents can't do things or teach things to their grandchildren. The child's parents would probably welcome it.
If a farmer planted let's say, corn, in poor ground, took seeds from that crop and planted in worse ground, and kept doing that year after year, how long would it take to starve? It's the same thing with people.
Start this generation the right way to pass on to improving generations. The world today is populated by people that are the result of hundreds of generations. What kind of the world would you like? Every one of us has to do our part to make it better.
I could go on and on, but I think that planted the seed for thought.
God Bless You and remember

Joy of Being a Christian

Greetings My Friends;
Today we will take a deeper look at the absolute joy in life when you accept Jesus as your personal savior, and follow His lead.
Jesus told us that he would send the Holy Spirit to help us,, to teach us, and to be everything we needed Him to be in order to follow God's plan for us, so we could have eternity with Him.
The first thing I noticed in my life, was an overwhelming sense of peace. As the old saying goes, I felt like I didn't have a nerve in my body. Now when something comes up, I calmly talk to the Holy Spirit and asking for His help. He has never failed. He sees and I went.
Psalm 138:8 "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me"
Philippians 4:13 "I will do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
Along with taking care of all types of problems, to me one of the greatest gifts is healing. In the past, I was very sick about half my life. I went to a couple of dozen doctors over the years, and was basically told "you just have to live with this condition",  Well left me tell you, the Great Healer knew, and He healed me. He healed me of three potentially deadly ailments. Is it any wonder why I feel excited about Jesus and the Holy Spirit? My last major problem lasted only a short time, because I knew which Healer to go to.
We're supposed to love one another. That might seem like an incredibly difficult thing to do, but it isn't. I think it is all what you call love. Most of us think that love is like the love for our spouse or children. I don't think so. I think the love we are to have for one another is simply the way we treat one another. When we are quick to forgive, don't judge a person, and let it pass, that is love. Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is love. Avoiding gossip is love. Helping someone is love, whether it is physical, financial, or any other way. The greatest love for someone in my personal opinion is telling someone about Jesus and praying for them. If you do these things to show the love of Jesus, you are doing what you're supposed to do.
If you look at things kind of like I explained so far, your life will be one of joy, peace, love, and a blessings to you as well as others. You can't help telling people about Jesus. If they see Jesus in you, they will want what you have.
This great life is a gift from God. The only thing we have to do is choose life. The Lord and His love for us gave us that choice. I heard a preacher say something the other day that was a real blessing to me and maybe to you too. When you tell someone about Jesus, you plant a seed. Don't worry if the person seems unaffected. The Holy Spirit will never let them forget what you said, so just turn it all over to the Lord.
You may or may not agree with things I've said in this message, but I think it does give you something to think about. The Lord does not ask us to do anything, that He doesn't provide the way of doing it.

Stick To It

Greetings My Friends;
This message is basically about discouragement and not giving up. Trusting in the Lord, no matter what.
Most of us have something in our lives at some time that we either want to do, or feel led to do. I believe that the key to success in any field is to stick to it, regardless of how discouraged you may get.
Take a look at people and sports. They start out early in life, and work their tails off to get better at what they do. It seems that some are blessed with talent and the rest not so much. The odds of making a living at football for example are astronomical, but hundreds of men do it. In spite of those odds, many just stick to it and would not think of giving up.
Musicians in the marketplace are a dime a dozen. Yet thousands pursue this dream. Many practice hours a day, even for years and never make it professionally.
I think it is pretty clear that one of the ingredients to success that is common to most people is sticking to it. Theoretically the harder and longer you work at whatever you're doing the better you will get.
Take preachers as another example. There are thousands and thousands out there. Many know the Bible inside, and out and nobody has ever heard of them. Still year after year, many more become preachers. Some have thousands of followers, and some only a handful of people.
The largest group is the average work every day, ordinary person. You work at a job and get very good at it, but get little or no recognition. You have responsibilities, and couldn't give up if you wanted to.
What is sometimes or should I say most of the time overlooked by most of us, is the fact that God has a plan for each of us. You may be a worker, or a football player that hasn't made the big time, but that doesn't mean you do not have the favor and grace of the Lord. Chances are you have influenced someone in a way that was God's plan for you or them.
The Lord's plan for us is always at work, it is up to us to trust in Him and follow what He puts in our hearts. We influence someone, someone influences us, all to help each other in God's plan. Don't get discouraged or give up. As it says in Proverbs 3:5 – 6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths".
Keep the Lord in your life, accept His plan for you to keep going. Your life will never be one of failure if you follow His plan. Remember, God loves each of us as his children, and wants to bless us.

Christmas Part 2

Greetings My Friends;
Welcome to part two of my message on Christmas.
I love to jump to conclusions, so I put two and two together and I think I came up with four. If what I see with cashiers is true, it stands to reason that there are many shoppers out there that feel the same way. Now we have reason for hope.
I believe with all my heart that satan tries to use things like Black Friday sales to create a kind of feeding frenzy. He knows all of the buttons to push to bring out the worst in someone. We must remember that we cannot start judging other people and how they act under different circumstances.
I have finally reached the point where I see things quite a bit different than I did in the past, thanks to the Holy Spirit. He put in my heart that a lot of people just get caught up in things, and may on occasion go overboard. What one person considers not enough, another may think it's too much.
I believe that the love and sense of giving taught by Jesus, lives in our subconscious. I am convinced that is what causes people to be nicer, more thoughtful, more helpful, and more generous at Christmas.
When it comes to Christmas we are all like little children. We get caught up in the excitement and anticipation of it all. We get excited about getting gifts, and giving gifts to those we love. We get a kick out of seeing the look on their faces. We buy what we think will make someone happy, and give our best.
We gather together for Christmas, as family is a big part of the celebration. Usually if you cannot be with family at Christmas, you feel as though you have a big empty space where your heart was. Christmas is also a time when differences are put away. We have compassion for others and act accordingly. Above all we realize that it is Jesus birthday. It bothered me for a long time, that it wasn't the actual anniversary of His birth. I don't know if anyone really knows when the actual date was, but I guess it doesn't matter that much, as long as we remember Him and what He means to us.
What Jesus did and stood for will always stand out in the minds of all believers, and all almost believers. There is no way we can fully appreciate all that He did, so the best we can do, is live the way He taught us, and to love one another as He loved us.
One of the things that we started doing in our family, is to have a birthday cake for Jesus on Christmas. The cake is baked by one of the women in the family, and everyone wants to volunteer, and they decorate it and put Jesus name on it. We even sing happy birthday.
So in this joyous season, let us all remember what it is truly about, and take the time to enjoy family and friends. I'll close this message by saying, happy birthday Jesus, and thank you more than we can say, for your love for us.
Our family wishes your family, a happy Jesus birthday. May God bless you and keep you as long as you live.

Christmas

Greetings My Friends;
As I write this message, it is 2:28 AM. I woke up with this message going through my mind. Two things about this message stand out to me. First, I was going to do my Christmas message at Christmas, and second what I am about to say is quite a bit different than what I thought as recently as 10 PM last night. I don't know how long this message will be ,but if it is too long, I will split it up over a couple of days.
We really don't need to get into the history of how Christmas has been celebrated, and for how many centuries. If some religious leader at some point in history was trying to get rid of a pagan celebration or not is also not very important. What is important is that it came about to celebrate the birth of Christ.
God gave his most precious son to man as mans Savior. Most people know that. What most people really don't think too much about is what that means exactly. At the time Jesus came to us it was God's way of providing a way for us to get to heaven, instead of the destiny we deserved. Think how important that was, and how much God loved us to do it. Joy and peace became something we could have. If ever there was a reason for joy and celebration, the birth of Jesus was certainly it.
While Jesus was on earth, He taught us to love our fellow man, He healed the sick, taught us to feed the hungry, and to help the poor. He told us to follow Him and His ways, in order to have eternal life. Most of us in this world do not realize what an unbelievably precious gift Jesus was and is.
The last several years really started to get to me as far as Christmas was concerned. It seemed that all Christmas turned into was nothing more than a great excuse to sell stuff. Stores started in September with Christmas stuff. Every year they tried to outdo each other on the amount of hours they are open for business in their so called super sales and black Friday sales.
They took Christ out of Christmas and often refer to it as X mass. We have taken Christ out of everything, and turned to stuff to make us happy. No more Merry Christmas. We say happy holidays so that no one is offended. Most stores do not play Christmas music that could be even remotely considered religious, because that would not be politically correct.
When you put all this together, you can imagine my despair. Maybe you feel that way too. I started doing things my way as much as I could.
Cashiers in most stores are told not to wish anyone a Merry Christmas. When I am at the cashier I make it a point to say Merry Christmas and have a blessed day. 99% of the time I get a big smile and a Merry Christmas right back. Some even say you have a blessed day too. Their reaction in most cases seems to be what you would get if you gave someone dying of thirst a nice glass of cold water.
I'm calling this part one, and I will follow-up with part two tomorrow.
God Bless You And Remember

Pitfalls Of Prayer

The Pitfalls of Prayer

Greetings My Friends;
This may seem like a strange title, but it will make sense very soon. You see, satan's mission is to try to block prayers of believers by planting doubt and fear. He knows the power of prayer, because prayer is a weapon against him.
One of the pitfalls is well-meaning family or friends. Suppose for instance your grandmother died from cancer, and now your mother did too. Undoubtedly some very sincere members of your family will tell you that you should start getting checkups, because it runs in the family and your chances of getting it are very high.
I am not saying you should not do the prudent thing in your life. I am saying don't let fear step in and accept the disease for you. I would probably pray for perfect health, believe it, and say it every day,and claim that I have perfect health. If I felt that I should get a check up once in a while, I would do it. It is no crime or block to prayer if it is not done in fear or doubt.
Another common problem, is that some things are easier to believe for healing then others. For example, a headache or a cold is easy to believe as compared to a knee that the Dr. says needs to be replaced. At times the vast majority of people would feel that way.
It is written that God's arm is not too short. As far as the healing power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name is concerned, growing a new leg is no tougher than getting rid of a hang nail. Again the devil tries to plant doubt and fear. We therefore have to accept what God says, because we know he doesn't lie, and satan is the prince of lies.
Another problem is that a lot of people you know, and even some preachers, will tell you that healing was for Bible times and does not happen now. That is total nonsense. When Jesus went back to Heaven, he gave us the Holy Spirit to help us in all things, and to carry on Jesus work.
Another very big problem is patience. The devil tries to use patience as a tool against you to create doubt. If he can get you to start being impatient, he can delay the results of your prayer for a long long time. We all expect instant results. Even if we have a lot of faith and patients, it will be answered at the time God feels is right for us and our situation.
As I've mentioned before, God always answers prayers of believers. They may not always be the way we expect or want, but the answer will always be for our good. So be on the lookout for pitfalls that can cause problems with your prayers. The ones I have mentioned are not the only ones, but they are the most common. Remember anything that causes fear or doubt, opens the door for satan.
As it is written "we walk by faith and not by sight" As always when you pray , say it, believe it, receive it. Know that the Lord hears your prayers and will answer, always.
God Bless You And Remember

Forgive Yourself

Greetings My Friends;
Years ago, when I was still working, one of the men I worked with was a real mess. He was divorced, hated his job, and if there was one chance in 1 million to make a mistake, he found it. We worked nights. If he was having a tough day, he would yell at the top of his voice that God hates him, but that was okay because he hated God.
At that time, I wasn't born again yet, but it still gave me chills to hear that. I tried to tell him that God did love him, but he didn't want to hear about it. His life was so messed up, that he lost his job because of a number of things he really messed up on. I believe that the devil blinded him to the truth.
Since then I have run across a couple more people that are convinced that God hates them too. I don't know the particulars in these cases, but it is obvious they carry a deep guilt about something.
If anyone has the slightest clue about how much Jesus loves them, they would have a good starting point. Jesus died for our sins. His death forgave past, present, and future sins. It doesn't matter how bad we messed up, how horrible our deeds, Jesus blood covered it all.
The only thing we need to know is that His love saved us, If we accept Him and what He did for us. If all of the mistakes that are on your conscience are so bad that you hate God, you can have all of them erased. I believe that a lot of people who say they hate God, are actually crying out for help, because they think they are too far gone for forgiveness.
Well my friends, let me say this. Jesus does not see things the way we do. He looks at us with love in His heart. He sees us as people that were created for heaven. The catch is, we have to accept what He has done for us.
Remember the story about one lost sheep and how the 99 were Left in the pasture, while the good shepherd went after the lost one? He put that one on His shoulders and brought it back. So you see, you can never be so lost, that Jesus cannot find you.
Don't waste another day of your life. There is absolutely nothing that you can do that is so bad you will not be forgiven,. There is one sin that cannot be forgiven, and remember this, it is willfully rejecting Jesus and his works.
So forgive yourself, truly repent, accept Jesus as Savior, and spend the rest of your stay on Earth with peace and joy, and the love of God.
God Bless You And Remember

Grow Your Faith

Greetings My Friends;
A lot of Christians do not realize the power that they can tap into the name of Jesus. They marvel at what they see in others, but somehow have trouble believing that they have it too.
If you want your faith to grow, the first thing you need to do is to read the Word and meditate on it. You cannot tap into the power of God, if you don't know how or what that power is. When you begin to see the power of Jesus and what he did, His love and compassion for everyone, and His promises to you and me, that is the start.
When you realize He cannot lie, so He must be telling the truth, you gain even more faith. He also sent his Holy Spirit to guide us and help us in all things according to the Word of God.
If we read the Word every day and meditate on what we read, it will be a great faith builder. Even if it is one chapter a day, meditate on a verse or two, our faith will build. The more we make God a part of our daily life, the more we will realize that we have the faith through Jesus to accomplish anything.
Of course as with anything else whether it's playing golf or cooking, the more you exercise that faith the stronger it will get. You may laugh, but one of the first things I had faith for was a good parking space at the stores. I simply said "Lord help me find a good parking space in Jesus name". It always worked. I have even had people leave as soon as I got there. I said Lord thank you. On a rare occasion or two, I could not get as close as I usually did. All I said was "Lord I know someone needed that spot. Thank you anyway."
As you have small success, it gets easier and easier to believe for bigger things. As your faith grows and you stay in the Word, satan's influence in your life will get smaller and smaller.
Stretch your faith, then just believe. Have love and patience in your heart. Remember prayers are always answered. Sometimes the answers to our prayers are not quite what we expected, but always for our benefit. Try it and you will find that what I am saying is absolutely true.

Average Christian

Greetings My Friends;
A lot of us feel that when it comes to being a Christian, at times we don't measure up. We compare ourselves to other people. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not so good.
We get into conversations at the church and sometimes we hear about someone at church, or a relative or friend of someone at work.
One of the people reads the Bible two hours a day. We try it, because we feel that we are at least as good as they are. Unfortunately, we just can't seem to do that, so we feel bad.
Someone tithes 20% and we tithe 2%. Whether we can easily do more or not causes more grief. Maybe the other  person sacrifices in order to do it. We can't even give up one cup of coffee per day to do better. A little more guilt.
Another person is always helping other people with something, always full of the Lord, does a big variety of things we can't seem to do.
There are a couple of things we all need to remember. We are saved by grace and not by works, lest any man should boast. God sees each of us as equal. He doesn't see things as we do. He loves all of us. The conclusion? Do the things you feel the Lord is leading you to do. Do it with love to Him, and don't worry about the rest. Each of us is responsible for ourselves. When we try to be like other people, we are saying God's plan for us is not good enough.

The Answer

Greetings My Friends;
I thought that starting today, I would have the video based on the message of the day. Some people get more out of one form than the other, so the choice is yours, video or written.
I like to give you a little lead-in to another true story. I  have been saying since the beginning of my blogs, that I have felt led by the Holy Spirit. I sincerely believe that. Most of the time I don't know what to write about. I usually write on the morning of the posting.
I never worry, because of my belief in the Holy Spirit. A very good example is yesterday's message. When I went to bed the night before, I reminded the Holy Spirit that I didn't have my message for the morning. I went to bed and didn't give it another thought.
About 1230 that night, I woke up with thoughts running through my mind. The thoughts turned into a message. I laid there knowing what it was. Suddenly I felt I should get up and write it out, but the bed was warm and comfortable. I fought the idea of getting up for about 20 min. I had no peace, so I got up and wrote the message. When I went back to bed, I fell asleep so quick, I don't remember hitting the pillow.
The next day I was having my morning coffee, and I thought about the Holy Spirit and how He always helps me. If I forget something, I ask Him, and I get an answer. If I need help to do something like getting a lawnmower running, I get the answer. Every day in every way He is always there.
He again spoke to my heart. He said, "did you ever think about anything when you ask Me for something"? I said no, the only thing that crosses my mind is happiness  that my problem is solved. He said to me "do you realize that you are using mountain moving faith, because you ask and don't have the slightest doubt? That is true faith".
I always thought I had faith when I prayed for anything in Jesus name. I do, but not 100% like with the Holy Spirit. The reason I think is, the Holy Spirit and I have a very close relationship because we work together and I know Him very well.
You may think it is strange when I pray to the father that sometimes that level of faith isn't quite there completely. Well that answer came to me too. I think that many of us who study the Bible think we have a relationship to the Lord because we started to know Him through the Word. That is true to some extent.
I want the faith that I have with the Holy Spirit. The answer to how is pretty simple as  I just found out. Get a relationship with the Lord by making him an indispensable part of your daily life. Talk to Him all the time as you would a friend that is with you all the time. Count on Him for everything, all the time. Ask Him, and write about what you ask on a piece of paper. Then put that paper in a box labeled done or finished, and forget about it.
If you follow this thought, in a short time you'll be astounded by the faith you have without even trying. I believe I have found the answer, and since I practice what I preach, I will follow what I am talking about to a much larger extent. I look at it this way, since the Trinity is one God in three persons, faith should be as easy as falling off of a log. If you have a relationship with one Person, you have it with the three Persons. I never realized that till now. I hope it helps you too. Praise the Lord!

You Can Change Anything

Greetings My Friends;
The other day I was having my morning coffee, and I thought about the holidays coming up, especially Christmas. It was then that I was reminded about how absolutely everything works.
When you think about something like a holiday, or a trip, or even a barbecue in your yard, your mind paints a picture of the event. The more you think about it, the more details your mind adds to the picture.
In this example let us use Christmas. What I am saying really does apply to everything. Back to Christmas. Your mind shows you a picture of putting lights up on your house, a Christmas tree, presents, who the presents are for. You may even see what you will give each individual. What the holiday represents to you. Who is coming to dinner. Every little detail is covered.
If you like Christmas, all of these pictures are happy, or at least very pleasant. You actually look forward to each thing taking place. If you don't like Christmas, naturally the pictures will be very unpleasant. You may even ruin the days leading up to Christmas.
As the holiday approaches, your spirit reminds you what each picture looks like, so you react to each situation the way your heart  interpreted it for your mind. At any time, you can change a picture. It is written "as a man is in his heart, so is he"
I think we all see where this is going. If you put God in your life and in everything you do, you are putting light in your life. More God, more light. It stands to reason that if you do not have the light, you have darkness which is the devil. Darkness and light cannot exist in the same place at the same time.
So you see that absolutely everything appears in your heart as a picture first and gets sent to your brain. Your decisions determine if those pictures are bright and vibrant, or dark and depressing. And so the results.
So the conclusion is an easy one. God brought the light to us in the form of Jesus. Why stumble in the dark? If you walk in the light, you will not stumble. Paint all of your pictures as bright as they can be. What you see is what you get.

Christian Responsibility

Greetings My Friends;
The message today concerns our country and Christians. We, at least for now have a really diluted version of Thanksgiving, and a country that has really gone astray.
This country and Thanksgiving were founded on the Bible. The people and the government followed what it taught. It was the basis for our lives. It was a country blessed by God. No other country was so blessed, even presidents put God first, and had days of national prayer and thanksgiving.
After about 200 years I guess people started getting tired of being blessed. They started to stray from what made us great. So-called progress and education reached a point, where a lot of people figured they didn't need God anymore.
As we kept God out of our lives, we started to go downhill. As this was happening, where did all the Christians go? How did we let our country abandon God. He did not abandon us, we abandoned Him.
The people started to follow the ways of a fallen, broken world, and the government was happy to go along with it. Why? Because we elected the government and put in many ungodly people. Everything this country was, has evaporated. Abortion, gay marriage, and countless other violations of the Bible, have and continue to occur.
We as Christians can take things back. Starting with educating ourselves about who to vote for. The Internet has made that much easier. Vote for good Christian candidates. Send letters to our representatives, reminding them why they were elected.
If we as Christians made noise like the people who support things like abortion and gay marriage, we could change the laws and the government. The Bible tells us the way to get to heaven. One way, and that is through Jesus Christ. Don't believe some self proclaimed Christian politician who says there are many ways to get to heaven.
Feel helpless? Don't. Our God can overcome anything. Pray for better candidates to run for office. Do your homework before you vote. Vote your conscience not just for a particular political party. Stand up and be heard. 1 million is accumulated one at a time, so your one vote counts, use it.
If you don't like the idea of Thanksgiving being turned into a shopping day, don't shop. There are many ways we can use our votes and our dollars. We are sheep only to and for the Lord. In the world we are children of God, and we must act like it.
Have a really blessed Thanksgiving. Thank the Lord for everything in your life, and pray for our country. Every day should be a day of thanksgiving and prayer.

Thoughts On Thanksgiving

Greetings My Friends;
Well we are at the holiday season again. I won't get into how much Thanksgiving and Christmas have come so far from what they originally signified. I will just cover my own thoughts on Thanksgiving. If you think some of it is corny, I forgive you.
When I look at my life, I cannot help seeing all of the things I am thankful to God for. In the first place, the Lord put people and circumstances together, so that as far from Him as I was, I came to see how much I needed Him.
Years ago if you asked me if I was following God or the devil, I really wouldn't know what to say. I guess a lot of us feel that if we don't kill anyone, or kick a little old lady down the stairs, we will probably go to heaven. I won't bore you with all of the ugly details, but praise the Lord I am saved now. Read the Bible for the truth, I had problems because I never did.
I am blessed with a wife that has put up with me for 49 years and counting. She and my two sons are a blessing in every sense of the word. I am retired, and have plenty of time to spend with the Lord. I enjoy what I do, and feel more blessed every day if that is possible. My wife is what I call my soulmate. I bounce things off of her, and she helps me in what I do.
Another reason for my thankfulness is our health. A number of years ago I was in the hospital for a sudden heart condition called atrial fibrillation. The following year I had to have a kidney removed. Because of the trauma of surgery, I developed type II diabetes, and had to take insulin. Starting to sound like a soap opera? There is more. I do woodworking, and due to not paying the proper respect to the tools, I almost cut off three fingers.
The next thing I will say may be hard for some to believe. After I found the Lord, and started reading His Word, I prayed for healing. I'm here to tell you that over a period of about one year, all of my  ailments went away, and I am totally free from them.
Now for a little less drama. I am also thankful for many things we usually take for granted, or maybe even complain about. A loving family, a wonderful country, a warm house, warm clothes, plenty of food, had a good job, a fulfilling retirement, good health, good friends, and you could keep going with this list for hours.
The whole point is, we all have something to be thankful for, even if they aren't exactly the way we like. Things can get better. Start right now by sincerely thanking God for what he has blessed you with, not just for Thanksgiving, but every day. If you read the Word and study it, you will find just what blessings you can expect from Him if you follow His way.

satans activity

Greetings My Friends;
There really is no reason to tell anyone that satan is an untiring adversary. We all know that. He is relentless and cunning. He is a liar, and for want of a better term, a conjurer.
He prefers his biggest  attacks to be at specific situations, kind of like an army attacking at dawn. He will make things happen as soon as you get up in the morning. Maybe you got up late, you didn't sleep well, no time for breakfast, and that is just the start.
As you drive to work, you experience a larger number of people who aggravate you. They really get your goat. You get to work and there is a problem there. You get the idea. All day long he puts stumbling blocks in front of you. He not only wants to ruin your day, he wants to use you to ruin someone else's day.
If you are feeling a little depressed, it is something he caused in the first place. He was setting you up so he could really work on you. First he tries to weaken you, and then he tries to finish you off. No surprise here.
One more good example of his tactics happens when, believe it or not the devil is nervous. This condition is caused when an intended target is trusting in the Lord. The more you trust the Lord, the harder satan will work. If you have great trust in the Lord, he will find another way to attack you. He will try to put doubt in your mind. He will probably try to convince you that you aren't good enough, or you don't do enough.
satan will put thoughts in your head and try to convince you that they were your thoughts. He usually tries to bring up old sins to lay guilt on you. He will do anything to get your mind away from God, and onto things he hopes will distract you.
Take heart my friends. At any time you choose, you can stop him in his tracks.
1 Corinthians 12:27 "I am the body of Christ, and satan hath no power over me"
1 John 4:4 "I am of God and have overcome him(satan). For greater is He that is in me, then he who is in the world"
James 4:7 "I am submitted to God and the devil flees from me because I resist him in the name of Jesus"
Colossians 1:13 "I am delivered from the power of darkness, and I am translated into the kingdom of His dear Son"
Meditate on these verses so that when you use them it will be more than just words. When you are driving, especially when you are alone, listen to inspirational or teaching CDs. If you are at home and are attacked, read the Word. It will pass. satan doesn't want to deal with someone who believes, and turns to the Lord. When all is said and done, he is just a pest. Ignore him, he really hates that too.

Choice or Chance

Greetings My Friends;
Most of us go through life doing our thing. Each of us has a little different way of doing things. I would like to briefly describe a few character studies. They are  the result of years of dealing with all kinds people. These descriptions cover a couple of general characteristics of each group. Naturally there are exceptions. You will get the point of this exercise, about halfway through this message, so please bear with me.
First let us look at people who are successful in the eyes of the world. They are usually intelligent, hard-working, and able to focus on whatever they are doing. If they are professional, they are generally very dedicated. Most pursue their goal and are seldom sidetracked. They are prepared to sacrifice to achieve their desired goals. Their self-esteem level is very high. As a matter of fact, the problem with most high achievers, is that they honestly believe that they did everything on their own, and have no need of God.
The next group is usually in the bottom 50 or 60%. And this group of people generally have less education, and average or below incomes because of any number of circumstances. Most of these people seem to be in a constant state of unhappiness or even depression. Relationships suffer the farther down you go. Most, usually have a lot of debt to deal with. A general sense of hopelessness is fairly common. Their self-esteem level is generally pretty low. These people however, in fairly large numbers, are looking for God to help them, because they know they cannot do most things on their own.
If you talk to the well-off people about the other group, they will probably tell you that the people at the bottom are mostly just lazy. They have no ambition or discipline. They don't know how to sacrifice anything. The well-off feel that the less fortunate don't try very hard, so they deserve what they get.
The less fortunate feel that the people on the top are lucky, know the right people, or have success at the expense of the little guy.
The plain truth is that God loves all of us. Our lives are influenced by God, satan, and ourselves. We make the choices in our lives, and we generally live by the results of our choices. God does not have favorites, he wants everyone to come to him. satan however hates everyone and wants them to come to him. Everyone else has a decision to make as to who they will follow.
Just because some people are well-off, it doesn't mean that they belong to God. So it is that just because you are poor it does not mean you belong to the devil.
If God is your God, you are blessed and usually make good decisions. The opposite is also true. God has a plan for each person. We are free to decide for ourselves if we follow his plan or ours. Social status does not reflect how much God loves us. Who we follow does determine our future. Everything else in the meantime is just stuff, and everyone has a job to do. It's all part of God's plan.
It is said very well in Ecclesiastes 9:11, the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. Nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, not favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all. As I have said before, and believe with all my heart, if you seek after God first all the rest will come to you.

Doing Their Best

Greetings My Friends;
As we would probably all agree, people are all different. They look different and they Think Different.
Let us say that you see someone doing something that doesn't measure up to your standards. Take for example a healthy person parking in a handicapped spot. A knee-jerk reaction would be to criticize, feel self-righteous, or question their upbringing.
Everyone has reasons for what they do, even if it doesn't make sense to us. In the example of the parking space, it is probably wrong morally and certainly illegal. On the other hand our reaction in the example is probably much more offensive to God than what the person who parked did.
It is written, "it is Mine to avenge, I will repay says the Lord, Romans 12:19. The best thing to do is to pray, and put it in God's hands. It took me most of my life to think that way. I always figured, revenge was sweet, but I found out it is not God's way.
Another example would be keeping a budget. For some people it is a no-brainer, but for others it is almost impossible. There are some people who give it their best and can't seem to make a go of it. Before you judge them, realize that a certain amount of what we call failures, are people who are doing their best.
Some people are afraid of just about everything. They are still doing their best. Sometimes they try very hard at a job that is not difficult, and can't quite measure up. Maybe they did their best.
I guess what it all boils down to is this. God created everyone and loves us all the same. If God created some people that turn out defective, it is up to him to decide what to do. It is not our business to criticize his work. We all have some kind of deficiency. Praise God he doesn't throw all of us on a scrap pile, but continues to love us. He doesn't condemn us, so we should not judge or condemn someone else.

Just Believe

Greetings My Friends;
When we are born again, it happens because we are told in the Bible that when we say with our mouth that Jesus is our personal Savior and believe in our heart, we are saved. At the same time our sins are forgiven, and we become heirs of heaven with Jesus.
Have you ever thought about the faith involved in that process? Do you really believe? Was it hard? If you are truly saved, it probably wasn't that difficult to believe, because the Father called you and the Holy Spirit gave you the yearning that made you accept Jesus.
There are many incidents in the Bible that may seem difficult to believe. Friends may doubt, and try to make a case for the seemingly impossible to be a fairytale. Even TV shows, comment about the Bible being just a collection of stories. Everyone it seems is out to discredit the Bible. Even some religious groups try to pick and choose what they believe.
When you add up all the negative you are bombarded with, it could make your head spin. If you look with you human eyes, and your human brain, the devil will try to get you like everyone else he has in his power.
We are told to believe as little children. If you truly believe that you are saved, the rest is not that hard. The Bible was dictated by God to the various authors. Since God does not lie, every word in the Bible must be true. Now we get to the part that stumps a lot of people. I will explain how I arrived at the answer for me.
Every day I start out asking the Holy Spirit to renew my mind, and make the Word clear to me. After I am finished reading, I dedicate my day and my life to the Lord. The rest of the day I do my best to live as I believe Jesus would want me to.
The next part you may find a little different, but every word is true. As I follow this routine during the day, I am on the lookout for extra blessings, because I expect that. The Lord said so. If you put everything together, your faith will grow.
Now the child part. I made up my mind that whatever satan or the world tells me, I will believe the Word of God and no other. I made a conscious decision that if it is in the Bible, I believe it.
When I run across something my human mind has a problem with, I just say I believe that, and I put it on my list of questions I will ask the Lord when I see him. It has gotten to the point I spend practically no time wondering about anything. If anything really happened, I don't care what science or anyone else thinks. Try it. Say to yourself I believe, no matter what it looks like. You will experience peace and the blessings of the Lord.

A Message

Greetings My Friends;
Over the last seven months, I have written about a number of things. As I said many times, I feel the Holy Spirit put them in my heart.
It all started because I wanted to help people understand a number of things that puzzled me in the past. I tried to keep everything as honest as anything can be. When I write about personal experiences or thoughts, you are getting the whole true story.
I tried to give the message in a simple way, because I am a simple guy. I always try not to preach, because I am not a preacher. I write the way I think, keep it simple and honest.
Over the last several months, people from many countries have read my messages. I feel with all of my heart that the Holy Spirit led each of them for reasons known to the Holy Spirit. We are all one through Christ who loves us, so why not believe that we are led.
In trying to help other people, I found out that I was helping myself. I found out many things I never realized before. My eyes were opened to things I never saw before. I found myself searching even more in my quest for the truth.
My oldest son helps me by doing the computer stuff. He had a Bible I gave him, several inspirational books, a number of CDs, all of which he didn't have time for. They just gathered dust. When I started doing this, he was very encouraging and volunteered to help.
He reads every message, and edits it, and does his thing with the computer. I really don't know how much time he spends on these messages, but whatever it is he does it without fail. I have a new son. He now has a preacher or two that he watches. The Lord has blessed him and his wife in so many ways, it seems like a dream.
The Holy Spirit will lead you if you make up your mind to follow. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying my message affected my son like that. I am saying that the Holy Spirit opened the eyes of someone who was helping to do His work, and blessed them. My son is so committed to this, that if I wanted to stop, he would fight that idea as long as it took.
I am starting with videos twice a week. The video is on a different subject than the written message. The video goes into things a little deeper than the written message, because it is easier for some people that way.
I want to sincerely thank all of the people who read or watch these messages. Sometimes when I am attacked by satan, and get a little discouraged, you guys are what really helps me fight him. If you find a message that talks to you, please pass it on to someone you love. Once again. Thank you so much, and please keep me in your prayers.

Showing Christian Love

Greetings My Friends;
A good number of people are reasonably generous, and may even give 10% of their income to charity. They see a commercial on TV with starving children, and it touches their hearts to send something. All of that is very good.
My wife and I have charities that we send to regularly, so I set up bill pay with the bank. If you aren't familiar with Bill pay, here is a brief description. You tell the bank how much to send, to whom, how often, and the time of the month to send it. It works very well. You don't have to remember anything each month. You can get a record of the transactions online, because they have a complete record for all transactions.
I was sitting around one day and I happened to think about the charities. We give out of compassion for the people we are trying to help. But, and there usually is a but, I felt kind of disconnected from what we are doing. Don't get me wrong, we don't just give so we could feel good, we feel good because we are helping someone. If you're crazy about pizza, how satisfying is it to see someone else eat pizza?
We will continue with the bank and bill pay, but we are doing something else. We started to figure out what we could do. Here are some of the things we came up with. Yes we get pleasure out of helping, but we feel being a Christian is more than just saying Jesus loves you. As they say talk is cheap.
It is easy to Fellowship with people at church. You are there anyway, and it doesn't take much thought or effort. When you are away from church that is a whole different story.
If you have a hobby that includes making things, you know how those things accumulate. Consider donating your work. I know someone who crochets caps and scarves, and she happily gives them away. She enjoys seeing the smile on someone's face when she gives them a cap.
It doesn't have to be only that. Pick up the phone every couple of days and check on an elderly neighbor. Make a little extra supper, and give a meal to someone that could use it, such as an ailing neighbor.
Volunteer a few hours a week somewhere. There are countless little things you can do. When you go to the store, ask someone who has trouble getting out if you can pick something up for them. Lend an ear and encouragement to  someone who is hurting. Pray for people. If you see someone at the mall who looks sick, troubled, or they just kind of pop out at you, say a quick blessing over them. They don't even have to know. Just do it in silence as they pass by.
I hope you think about doing something for someone you may not even know. Just pray about it and think of ways to show good honest Christian love. Jesus did.

A Discovery

Greetings My Friends;
If you are a normal person trying to deal with faith, you probably have run into some pretty frustrating things. You have questions, but the real answer is hard to come by. There are so many books, CDs, religions,  and preachers out there that seem to contradict each other, to the point that we sometimes want to run away from all of it.
We all know that the answers are all in the Bible. Finding answers can sometimes be problematic because we're not sure where to look in the Bible. Sometimes you find verses that you are not sure what they mean. Sometimes you take a verse out of context, and that can give you the wrong conclusion.
Today I will give you some suggestions about what really helped me a lot.
First of all believe no man unless what he says is backed up by the word. Most Bibles have an index that will help you find some verses. You can get a much bigger list of subjects with versus already written out. This makes it a lot simpler. I like to use the MacArthur topical Bible. I would really miss it if I lost. It lists a very large number of words, and gives the verses pertaining to them.
Another good thing to have is a good study Bible. When you have trouble understanding a verse, you can usually get a pretty good explanation at the bottom of the page. The study Bible doesn't select every single verse, so I have a couple of different kinds. My favorite is the spirit filled life study Bible. I also have a MacArthur NKJV and  EVS version. Quite a few times I check all three to see what they have to say to get a better idea. I also have a few regular Bibles. Translations sometimes differ slightly in their meaning and that is because of the vocabulary and meaning of the words in Hebrew and Greek. I like to get as close as I can to the original meaning.
Another book I have to help me is strongs dictionary of Bible words. It has the English word just like a regular dictionary. It then lists all of the Hebrew and Greek words for that English word. It has a Hebrew dictionary and a Greek dictionary. Each word has a reference number to help you find it. It is very easy. You don't even have to pay any attention to the spelling unless you want to.
A couple of weeks ago I got a copy of Kenneth Copeland's personal notes edition of his KJV New Testament. I don't normally use the KJV because of the language. It is written in old English and is a little harder to understand. This book is incredible. It is an exact copy of his Bible for the last 50 years. He has highlights, personal notes, and brief explanations. The front half contains about 166 pages of explanations and Bible references on a couple of dozen different topics including covenants.
So there you have it. I am not trying to tell anyone that they should do the same. I will say that if I had to narrow down my books to 2, I would have the spirit filled Bible and the Kenneth Copeland personal notes on the New Testament. Between the two they get rid of a lot of the haze and make things pretty plain.
If you are interested in the Copeland book, you can go to KCM.org or Kenneth Copeland ministries and order a copy. I think you would be very happy with it.

God's Love Through Spiritual Eyes

Greetings My Friends;
The title to this message is long, but I feel it is the only way I can describe what I am saying.
From the time we are very small, we occasionally hear that God loves us. If we go to a religious school, we hear it a lot more. I don't know about you, but through most of my life I thought that it was nice that Jesus loved me, but that was all. I think the best way to get an idea about His love is to start with human love and multiply it by infinity.
John 3:16 "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".
Take a look at someone you love very much. Multiply it by the highest number you can find. Look at someone you don't like. Would you allow your loved one to suffer like Jesus did, for this person you really don't like to be  rewarded? Praise the Lord, he doesn't think like most of us do. He sees all of us the same. He allows each one of us to decide if we will take advantage of his unbelievable gift to us, which is His Son Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you". Think about that. God will forgive the worst person. He gave His Son to die on the cross in order to accomplish that. Yet most of us forgive someone based on how much they hurt our pride or infringed on what we think is important. It is impossible to forgive as God forgives, but we sure can make a big improvement in our human forgiveness.
When Jesus was on earth, he saw the inner man as that man was designed. As humans we have a tendency to judge the outer man. We are quick to judge someone else even though it is written "judge not and you shall not be judged, condemned not and you shall not be condemned, forgive and you will be forgiven" Luke 6:37.
A little example. Let's say you looked outside and you see that it's snowed. Your neighbor is a 75-year-old woman. She does all the work around her house, in spite of the fact that her 40-year-old healthy son, and his  two teenage sons live with her. I am sure most of us will agree that it would be difficult to go out and shovel her snow,while her son and his sons stayed warm and cozy in the house. Well my friends, I think Jesus's  kind of love would favor the old lady and He would help her. Can we not do the same. Jesus would still love her son and his sons, but maybe he would be a little disappointed.
The examples of Jesus love for us could go on and on. We really need to meditate on Scripture when we read. I believe that if we meditate on one or two Scriptures like the ones mentioned, that would greatly benefit us. Spending a week or a month meditating on just those verses, and really getting what they mean, is better than just reading chapters without understanding. It would not take long for you to see that Jesus loves us in spite of how we are.

Life is Tough

Greetings My Friends;
One of the reasons Jesus came as a man and lived as one, He wanted to experience what we go through. Common sense tells us that we don't really know about something unless we do it. For instance, how can you know how a starving person feels if you have never been hungry.
For many of us catastrophes are a way of life. These catastrophes are only as big as we make them. In this world things have always gone wrong. The big difference between life as Jesus knew it, is we have hundreds of gadgets and their potential problems, He didn't.
We may have trouble in relationships with family or friends. People at work could be a problem. Things break, or just don't run right. We may have a series of disappointments, or what we feel are heart breaking incidents with someone we love. We look at everything on a severity scale whether we realize it or not.
There is no way we are going to avoid some of these problems, they are part of life. I'm sure that in the time of Jesus, they had plenty of their own problems. They didn't have a computer that crashed, or a car that would not start, but they did have things like, will we have enough to eat? Rain can be a nuisance to us because we may have to cancel a picnic, or a game of golf. To the people in Jesus time rain was life.
Okay. I am not trying to trivialize our problems. I'm just trying to show that wherever you live and regardless of the time in history, man has always had problems and he always will.
You may say to yourself that if all of this is true, there Is no way, Jesus could experience all of this stuff. If you look at it with human eyes, you are probably right. Don't forget that God is not limited in his vision. Jesus had the answers for all timeduring His brief stay on the earth. He showed us universal truths by the way He lived. He focused on and lived by the Word of God. God and the Word never change.
Before you start saying that He could because He was God and you aren't, let's look at some things. The Word tells you about blessing us. It tells you to focus on God, love your neighbor, be compassionate, pay your bills. These examples have nothing to do with time or place. These are just a few examples of the way we are to live according to the Word of God.
We create catastrophes by what we focus on. If we focus on things, instead of something being a minor irritant, it becomes a major disaster. We make decisions based on what we focus on. Bad decision, bad outcome. If you stick your hand in a fire, it is not the fire's fault you got burned.
Jesus showed us the way. This life is a stopping off place in our trip back to heaven. We can enjoy the trip if our focus is right.

Prayer For Children

Greetings My Friends;
Many parents that are saved, have children that are unbelievers. If that sounds like you, you know how heartbreaking that can be. The thought of your child not getting to heaven is tougher than losing everything you have.
Most people that you talk to and mentioned the Lord, either don't want to hear about Him, or claim they know Him. Most people base what they do or do not believe on bad information. According to a worldwide preacher, roughly 80% of the people who claim to be Christian, are in fact not saved. This could include your children.
As you have probably figured out, when it comes to your children, satan works double duty. He is trying to deceive your children with every trick he knows. He lies to them and tells them that they don't need God. He might even try to convince them that every person can do their own thing without consequences. Some do not even believe in the existence of God.
At the same time he is trying to convince you that they will never believe. He is trying to put doubt and despair in your life in an attempt to get you to stop trying by prayer. He tries to get you to doubt God's Word. Your life will be miserable. He might even talk the ones you love into doing something outrageous in order to add to your fear.
Well my friends, I am here to tell you the truth. All is not lost. Jesus conquered satan on the cross 2000 years ago satan is a fraud, and the pictures he paints are a fake. The only success he can have is what we allow him.
The first thing we have to do is to ask the Holy Spirit to renew our minds. Get in the Word so you are familiar with the blessings  God gives us when we believe.
First thing after your mind is renewed, sit in a quiet place and ask the Holy Spirit for a prayer you can write.
Start listing what you want for your loved ones based on the Word. A renewal of their mind. A receptive heart. True salvation. To live according to the Word. To live in the spirit. Anything you can think of to make that person who God created them to be based on the Word.
Say this as a prayer in Jesus name. Repeat it every day as a reminder to yourself. Believe it. See this person as a perfect living example of your prayer. satan will try to fool you by telling you it is not going to work. Ignore him and keep believing. It is written "satan has no power over me in Jesus name" see it, believe it, praise the Lord for it.
Just a little side comment which I find very amusing. When I gave this advice  to someone yesterday, satan wasted no time in attacking me. Today as I write this message, and I saved it in word, it disappeared. I had to do the message all over again. Praise the Lord, I practice what I preach. He has no power over me in Jesus name.

Spiritual Eyes

Greetings My Friends;
If you watch preachers on TV, or read spiritual books, you will hear or read about spiritual eyes. How are spiritual eyes different from our carnal eyes? I will give some examples of what I think are good analogies.
It is a fact that while the modern airplane is in flight, the wing tips each flex up-and-down about 15 feet, kind of like a bird flapping its wings you do not see this with your normal vision, but if you saw a slow motion video, you would be shocked.
I saw a slow-motion movie of an arrow in flight, and I had a hard time believing what I was seeing. As the arrow was flying, it was gyrating and  vibrating in such an extreme manner that you would wonder how it ever hits what it is aimed at.
If you have ever gone to a carnival where they had all of the mirrors in the fun house, and look at your self, you would see a different distorted image in each mirror.
And now for the last example of human vision, before I get to spiritual vision. How about a magician. The old hand is quicker than the eye; now you see it now you don't.
These examples are just a few of the ways our eyes get fooled. I didn't even mention mirages and optical illusions. It just shows you can't always believe what you think you see as real.
Spiritual vision comes from the heart and paints a picture on the brain. Even unbelievers have some spiritual  eyesight, and don't even realize it.
Suppose you are going on vacation and taking a trip. The whole thing starts by visualizing a place, what you can do, the weather and so on. You may do this with several places, and make a decision based on what your spiritual life, or heart helped you to see. Your heart told your brain, your brain saw the picture, and the decision was made.
Spiritual eyes of a believer work a lot like that, but the believer has a great advantage. He has the Holy Spirit and the word of God. Let us use healing for an example. The Holy Spirit in your heart tells you what the Word of God says. You pray for a healing based on the Word and your faith in what it says. After commanding the body to heal, in Jesus name, the heart sends the message to the brain that the healing is done. The brain directs the body to restore health, and starts to see a completely well person. You are seeing with your spiritual eyes a completely healed body.
Of course satan will probably come by and try to change the picture. Just remember if you follow the word and ignore the distorted picture satan tries to make you believe, you are healed. Remember that the spiritual eyes of a believer never lie. We will probably go into this a little further at another time.

God's Master Plan

Greetings My Friends;
This morning I woke up thinking about a vision or dream, I am not sure which. Whatever it was it got me thinking from a different angle as to God's plan. The fact is it is so simple that it is very easy to not notice it.
I was with two other people. I didn't see their faces, but I felt I knew them very well. We were helping to decorate for Christmas in some type of public place. It might've been a church or some other meeting of a group or club. We really wanted to make our part special.
We had some wooden tree ornaments. They were flat and looked like cookies. Each one was a different character. We were disappointed to see that they looked their age and were not exactly in perfect shape.
Well we figured we couldn't let that stop us, so we decided to make them look better. We took the first one, which was in the likeness of a Russian army officer from the time of Napoleon. We decided his beard needed a little help, so I made it bigger, and it looked worse. I then took the beard off completely, and it changed the entire character of the piece. I tried to get back to the original look, but couldn't quite get it.
Another was a jolly baker, and he had a big floppy cook's hat, and a big belly. We made his belly look bigger, a real mistake. The next one was a pretty little girl with a basket of flowers, so we tried to brighten it up by changing the colors. At this point we decided that they were better left alone. That was the end of the story, now for what my thoughts were and what I really relearned you might say.
When they made the movie Casablanca, they knew what the story was and how it would end. They knew the personalities and character of each of the people in the story. They then found what turned out to be the ideal person for each part.
Have you ever noticed when they do a remake of a movie, it hardly ever measures up to the original? It just isn't the same. By the same token if you went to the Louvre in Paris and you put a small dot of color on Mona Lisa's lips, it would no longer be the original.
The Lord God Almighty created everything. He knew the whole story. He knew how the tiniest thing would function, so he created everything for a purpose. Man was one of his greatest creations. Since he knew everything, he created each person to do a particular part. Just as a  puzzle needs each piece to make a picture, it takes each one of us in our mission from God for the picture in the world.
Along with this, timing comes in. That is why each person is developing constantly based on his part of the plan. We are all a work in progress. We don't know where anyone else is in their growth process, and even if we did, it is none of our business. God is the creator. We are to love each person without judgment, and realize that just as we are growing according to God's plan so are they. We must remember we cannot improve on God's perfection, and try to change something that he created the way he created it. If we are led to pray for someone do it. Just remember that only God can change you or someone else according to his plan.
One of our jobs is to love everyone, not change them. That is in God's script for all the players. We should all try to have patience and understand that what the other person is doing at the time is part of the Lords plan for him. The only thing that changes the Lords plan is the free will of the person playing the part. Let us not judge lest we be judged.

Depression and Despair

Greetings My Friends;
The definition of depression is feelings of sadness and hopelessness.
Despair is described as total loss of hope.
Today I feel like someone is in need of a little boost, to help them deal with something they are going through.
I'd like to start off by saying that if you are depressed and you are a believer, Jesus is the answer.
Bear with me here and I'll explain. First of all both situations are brought on by the devil. As it is written, he comes to steal, kill and destroy. That means each of us is a potential target.
If you are a believer he will attack from time to time. A typical scenario might be. Let's say every morning you get up and thank the Lord for the new day and all of the blessings that He has given you. You spend a little quiet time with them. During the day you are what we sometimes call a good Christian. You even find time for the Bible because you feel very close to God.
Along comes satan. He's not happy with you. He starts condemning everything you do. He puts doubts in your mind about your motives, whether you really love God, or if God really loves you. He may try to tell you that you don't do enough, or what you do is useless. He may bring up things from before you were saved. Regrets are one of his big tools. Another tool he uses is trying to convince you that feeling sorry for yourself is okay. He'll even try to convince you that God can't or won't help you.
Just like Paul we all have a thorn in the side called the devil. We are no different than Paul. God told Paul that he had the tools to defeat satan and free himself. So do we. We call on the name of Jesus, read the Word, and rebuke satan. As a last-ditch effort by satan will be to put thoughts in your head that it won't work. Don't believe it. Remember no matter how you feel that you won the battle 2000 years ago with Jesus and the cross.
Anyone who is not saved yet faces other obstacles as well. satan makes sin look appealing. The bigger the sin the more he will tell you that God will not forgive you. He can cause despair to the point that some people get suicidal. Put away what you think you can't get along without and seek Jesus. He is the only can't get along without that there is. He forgives all who call on His name.
When someone is depressed, the last thing they want to hear anything is about God. satan planned  it to work that way. Ask the Holy Spirit to open their heart or your own for that matter.

The Church

Greetings My Friends;
Matthew 16:18 and I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The message today as you can see is about the church. The church was established by Christ himself as the above verse testifies. If Jesus did it, it must be important, and should therefore be respected as something Holy.
When I speak of the church I am not talking about a building, I am talking about the body of Christ. Wherever believers are gathered to worship, that is a church.
I think that over the years, most of us get pretty lax about going to church. In my own case, it has only been in the last several years that I really found out how important church is. Verses in the Bible are empty if you don't meditate on their meaning. That is how most of us miss out on blessings. The church is a blessing on our journey in this world. There are many verses that would tell us that if we would read them and meditate on them.
The church is a gathering of people who love the Lord. It was meant that each member edify other members. Many people have problems, but the faith and understanding of others is a great help to them in dealing with it. By meeting with others who believe, you learn much more than you would by yourself. Praying together is  very powerful because you're in the presence of God.
I have a close friend who belongs to a church that he is a little unhappy with. He said he likes the pastor because he is a caring man and preaches the word. Then he starts about what he doesn't like.
He doesn't like most of the songs. I explained to him the songs are worship to God, and not for him. He says that people in the church are nice enough, but the church is dead. Attendance is very poor. Even the two elders are dead. People come to church dressed like they were cleaning their garages.
I suppose a lot of people are in that spot. If a church is like his or worse, it can change. Instead of looking at the way it looks, start seeing and speaking life over it. Pray for everyone to make it the way it was intended, help to live as we should. Be an example to others. Go every week dressed in your best. Talk to people about anything good you can think of. Get involved in whatever is going on. See if you can help the pastor. Don't give up. Pray and believe for enlightenment to your church. In talking to others, you and the group may discover a way to put the spirit back in your church.
When you get a chance, do yourself a favor. Read 1 Corinthians 12:12 – 30 and you will see a little of what Jesus thought of the church as a whole.

Guilt

Greetings My Friends;
if you look at the dictionary of Bible words, you will find that the Hebrew and Greek meanings of guilty mean, to be punished, morally wrong, bad person, to be under obligation, to owe, under sentence.
Most of us have felt guilty about something in our lives, since we were little. Our parents, teachers, and even friends, have pronounced us guilty whenever we did or did not do something they wanted us to do.
We pronounce guilt ourselves. Maybe we didn't go to church last Sunday, or we did't go to a family gathering. We feel bad about things like that. Guilty also refers to something we did, like argue with someone. We tell ourselves we should have avoided the argument and the guilt begins.
Guilt is one of those things that can get you coming or going. Some of us carry guilt to an extreme. We feel guilty about everything, even the smallest infraction can ruin our day.
Condemn means to declare wrong, to judge against, punish. As you can see, guilty and condemnation have similar meanings. Both can lead a person to depression, and then to despair. You end up ruining sometimes a very large part of your life over it.
satan usually steps in somewhere in the guilt process. He throws gasoline on the fire. He does everything he can to intensify those feelings of guilt. He usually tries to tell you God doesn't love you because you are bad. If you listen to him things will get worse.
I believe God, through the Holy Spirit, tells you right from wrong. Our carnal minds take what started out as a warning from God for our good, and turns it into something the devil can use against us.
When Jesus died for our sins, he took away our guilt. He has blotted out the things we do wrong. Since we are saved, out of love for God, and His love for us, we try not to do with the Holy Spirit says is wrong. He also tells us what is right. I believe God did not intend for us to get extreme with guilt. I believe if we don't follow the Holy Spirit, instead of guilt, we should sincerely confess, and forget about what we did wrong. The Lord remembers no more.
A final word about guilt. Whenever you judge someone by your standards, you are wrong. If they did do something wrong, they probably feel terrible already, and they don't need you adding to it. Only God knows the heart. If you bring up the past or are one of those people who always finds fault, you hurt those you love more than you know. Repairing that kind of damage is very difficult.
To avoid all of this, remember God loves you and has not pronounced you guilty, don't do it to someone else. It is written "judge not lest you be judged".

Food For Thought

Greetings My Friends;
Have you ever thought about what is important to you? An easy way to find out, is to take a look at what you do with your time. I'm talking about the time you don't spend at work.
It is easy to find out where you are, and where you are going. If you are honest with yourself, you will see things that will probably change your life. Here are some things to think about.
How much time do you spend following sports? You probably realize if you do spend quite a bit of time with sports, you will be very familiar with how players and teams perform. When you are with your friends, you will be almost like an expert.
Ladies there are things in your life that are probably just as important to you. Getting together with friends to talk about what interests the group may be one of them.
As you look at what you do, make a list of what your activity is each day, and mark down the time spent with it. I am not talking about a complicated thing. For instance; gym – two hours including travel time. Make an honest list for say two weeks to a month. It doesn't take much time to make the list, so don't give yourself the worn-out excuse that you don't have time to do it.
Next take a look at the things in your life that aren't quite right. Marriage and family, are you happy? Take a look at the list and see how much time you devote to family. That will probably give you a good clue. If the answer bothers you, remember you can change it.
When you add up the activities and time spent, you will see a picture of your life. You can figure out what to adjust in order to have a better life. Your kids will turn out the way you mold them. Ignore them and you can get bad results, love them and they are a joy.
If you are honest, you have some time for everything in your life. Just manage your time better. Even if you have to get up a half hour earlier to do something worthwhile, do it.
By the way does your list include time with the Lord? Read a chapter of the Bible every day, and if possible spend a little quiet time with the Lord. If God is not apparent in your life, check your list to see if you put Him in your life..
I don't think anyone needs to tell you that you will be best at whatever you devote your time and effort to. Your activity chart tells you where you are, it doesn't have to be a map of the future. With God all things are possible. Change your life now, and arrange your priorities as to what is most important in life.
