satan Says

The following verse was spoken to the Jews by Jesus.  John 8:44, you are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

You cannot go through life, without having battles with satan. The greatest, faith filled Christians in history, fought constantly with him.

satan will always try to condemn you. He will beat you over the head with guilt. He will even condemn you for doing things, that he tricked you into doing.

satan likes to bring up your past, and he often tries to make you feel sorry for yourself, in the hope that you will blame God. He distorts circumstances, in an effort to make you complain, because he knows it offends God.

In James 4:7, James states, submit yourselves  therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. This is a tool every Christian is able to use in Jesus name. Believe in this verse, and you will change your life. The Holy Spirit will give you strength to resist satan and find peace.

Keep this fact in mind. If satan said it, the opposite must be true. Think about that, before you get all nervous and depressed. He is tricky, and has hundreds of years of experience, if not more. You cannot hope to defeat him on your own, and the Lord knew that, so He gave us the power in Jesus name to conquer satan, through the working of the Holy Spirit. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

More On Words

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue. And those who love it, will eat it's fruit.

In the past we have talked about the power of words in our lives. We have all heard things like, if you want to know your future, think about what you are saying today. Realize this important fact. Everything you say goes out to the spirit world, and what you say will eventually materialize in the physical. We must choose our words carefully, even in jest.

Words have always been precious to God.  In Genisis  chapter 1, God created everything with His Word. The Bible tells us “He Said”, and it was. Many verses throughout the New and Old Testaments make it plain how God feels about words. Here are a fed words to think about.

Isaiah 55:11, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Matthew 12: 36-37, But I say to you that for every idle word that men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.  For by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned.

James 1:6, but let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea tossed by the wind.

James 3:6, And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

Revelation 22:18-19, For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book:  If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophesy: God shall take away his part from the book of life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So you see how important words are. I believe so much, that I even get chills when I hear someone blaspheme in a movie. There you have it. There is not a single person in this world who can aford to be careless about what he says. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

The Perfect Will Of God

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The average Christian wants to do the will of God, but most do not know anything about it. People pray in desperation, asking God to show them His will. There is a way to know.

Psalm 119:105, Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Jesus is the light. In order for your feet to follow His Will which is contained in His Word, the Bible, you must read it. The Bible is full of verses explaining what God's Will is. In the first place, each person must build a close relationship with God in order to be successful. When you study the Word, you don't just know about the Holy Trinity, you get to know them personally.

Many people think they must do something extraordinary in order to be doing God's Will. Yes that's great, but most people are not called to do that. The Bible names many ordinary acts that are associated with God's Will. A couple of examples follow.

1 Peter 2 :15, for this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

Galatians 5 22 - 23, But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

So take heart my friends. When you are living according to God's will, you have gratitude, joy, and a peaceful heart. Nothing in life can conquer you with Jesus on your side. just keep reading, believing, and doing God's Will. Jesus is coming soon. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Jesus True Identity

John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything that was made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

In the gospel of Matthew, we see the genealogy leading up to Jesus. Mark starts out with John the Baptist, and Luke tells us of the angel coming to Mary to tell her she would be the mother of Jesus.

When the people of the time witnessed these things, they could only see with natural eyes and a physical brain. None of this is what they expected of a Messiah.

They saw Jesus with human parents. Jesus was a Nazarene as far as they knew. The Messiah was supposed to be a warrior like king, who would free them from the Romans.

The Jews did not recognize Him because they were blinded by their countless rituals, rules, and traditions. They took the laws God gave Moses to guide the people, and they added to, twisted, and ignored the spirit of the laws. Jesus was bringing truth and love, but they preferred their sinful ways, and refused to see the truth, that Jesus was the light of the world.

John on the other hand introduced Jesus as one with God, Jesus was the Word. God created all things through Jesus Christ. And God said.

John refers to Jesus as the light of the world, while satan is the power of darkness. Jesus spoke spiritual truths, but His listeners interpreted them in material or physical ways. The light was not able to penetrate the darkness of their minds.

If you look at the fact that Jesus is one with God, and was the key to Creation, why would it be difficult to believe that He came here as a man figure to save His people. As the Creator, nothing is impossible for Him because He designed everything to His specifications.

If Jesus God, wanted humans to write what we call the Bible, what would stop Him? He is in total control. virgin birth, healing, miracles of all kinds, walking on water, Etc. He always could, and always will, defy human logic, and glorify His Father the way He thinks best.

John's gospel shows Jesus as God, a reflection of His Father, and a loving, forgiving savior of all who accept Him.

Matthew 18:3, “Truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven”.

Luke 18:17, “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it”.

Mark 10 :15, “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it”.

So my friends, just put aside preconceived ideas about Jesus. Get to know Him through His Word, open your heart and mind, and be like a trusting child in the light of Jesus' love. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

The Lamb of God

John 1: 36 And looking at Jesus as he walked,  he said, Behold the Lamb of God.

In order to understand this statement, it is necessary to understand where lambs fit in the story of Hebrews lives.

In Exodus chapter 12, we see that Lamb's blood was applied to the doorposts and lintels of each Hebrew dwelling. Lambs were to be in perfect condition, without blemish of any kind.

The blood symbolized the atonement for the sins of the people inside the houses. When the angel of death came, he passed over every house with the blood. This event started the Feast of Passover, and the Lambs would be referred to as Passover lambs, since that is the time they were sacrificed.

Every year the people took unblemished Lambs to the temple to be sacrificed in order to atone for their sins. Atonement was not forgiveness. It just delayed payment.

Now we come to Jesus, the Lamb of God. Jesus was perfect, without sin. Only the perfect lamb could forgive sins, and Jesus was that lamb. His blood washed away all of our sins past, present, and future, if we repent, and accept Him as our Savior. He was the Passover Lamb.

John the Baptist knew Jesus was the Lamb of God, the Messiah, because God told him that his spirit would land on Jesus in the form of a dove, as a sign of who He was.

Hebrews 9 : 22 , Indeed under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord !

It's Not Too Late

It Is Written, Matthew 20:1-16, the parable of the workers in the Vineyard.

Most of us are familiar with the parable of the workers in the vineyard. Some people think that the owner was unfair, because he paid each worker the same, regardless of the hours worked.

For the sake of my interpretation, let us consider that at the start of the day, each man agrees to work for a denarius.  As the day went on, more  workers were added every couple of hours.

At the end of the day, they were all paid the same. Unfair? Let's look at what seems to be what Jesus was saying, before we decide.

Some people find Jesus at a young age. Most people come at various ages. Some even accept Jesus as they take their last breath. The whole point of the story is, that it is never too late to receive salvation. It doesn't matter to Jesus when you come to Him, as long as you do.

So, is the owner of the vineyard fair? How would you like Jesus to accept you? Like the Vineyard owner, or what seems fair to the human mind? It just goes to show how much God loves us, that He is willing to take us when we are ready regardless of how long it takes. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Price of Christianity

1  Corinthians 1:18, For the work of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Being a Christian has a price, but not following Jesus has a much higher price.

Luke 9:23, And He said to all, if anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

Luke 14:27, Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.

Taking up the cross in following Christ, simply means that you live according to God's will, in your everyday life, with all its disappointments as well as blessings. Take one day at a time.

In today's world, the name of Jesus is cursed by the vast majority of people, even in the US. People who follow Christ are ridiculed, persecuted, even killed. Governments are even guilty of trying to destroy the right of Christians to worship God, especially Jesus.

Such concentrated hate can only be caused by satan poisoning men's hearts. What these followers of satan do not realize is, Jesus conquered satan with His death and Resurrection. They are following the ultimate loser.

Revelation 20:2, and he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

Revelation 20:10,  And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the Lake of Fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

It is a sad thing that so many people do not recognize what is before them.. If you read the Book of Revelation, look at what is going on in the world  and do not think twice before rejecting Jesus, you are the most unfortunate of people. Remember this, life is somewhat of an inconvenience, but eternity is forever. Wrap your head around just what that means. I personally cannot imagine what forever actually means , but I take the Bible's word that it is a long time. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

God’s Word

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

One question that hardly  ever gets answered truthfully is, do you read the Bible?  It is a hard question to answer for many people, because they do not know Jesus.  There are as many excuses for not reading the Bible as there are people.

Some examples are, ”the Bible is too hard to understand”. Really? Even with all of the simple language versions available? Try again.

“ It was written by men”0. That obviously comes from someone who doesn't have any idea how the Bible was written. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit to the people who did write it.

Another good one is “I don't have time”. I pity you if you can’t spare at least 15 minutes sometime during the day to read at least one chapter of the Bible. You could always try reading the Bible while you are having your cup of coffee.

Now here comes the one that most people will not admit to , but it is probably the most truthful. “I am just lazy”.

Another reason that some people don't read God's Word, is because they are afraid of what it says about their lifestyle. Some people feel so guilty they honestly think they cannot be forgiven. That of course is the biggest mistake of all, because that's what Jesus died for. His blood was spilled for the forgiveness of sin, past, present, and future for those who sincerely repent.

I would like to say at this point that none of this was written as a condemnation for anyone. It was written as kind of a reminder of the importance of the Bible, and where you, yourself, put it. Our savior is a loving forgiving God and He is anxious to welcome you into His arms forever. The part you play is that you have to accept Him as your savior. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Hasty Conclusions

It Is Written, 1 Samuel 16:7, but the Lord said to Samuel, do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 7:1, judge not, that you be not judged. Most of us have heard that verse many times. Most of us claim that we almost never judge anyone. Really?

A common judgment we make, and don't even realize it, is when we say, I would never do that. That my friends is judging, and the sin of pride.

We see people doing things that we think are silly, stupid, terrible, and so on. Have you ever considered that other people may be looking at you that way?

Consider this important fact. Everyone you see, is either following God's plan, or listening to satan. It is not our job to try to determine which is which.

Our way is not God's way. Since God sees the heart, and everything else, and how they all relate to each other, we must keep our opinions out of it.  By judging someone else's actions, we may in fact be criticizing God's instructions to someone.

You, me, and everyone else, are following a master plan. Since God created us with a free will, it is our choice whose plan we follow. God's plan, or satan's instructions. Just remember this, God gets to decide what happens, and when. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Revival

Matthew 24:14 And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

There is no doubt that we live in stressful times. Many people ask if this is the beginning of the end of time. Only God Himself knows. It may be possible that these days serve as an awakening to the world to seek God. A Revival of our spirits.

2  Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Psalm 51:10, create in me a clean heart Oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

These verses seem to suggest that there are exciting times ahead for God's people.

Psalm 22 - 27 all the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.

Take heart my friends. This life is just vapor, but our real life is to come. that real life is forever in the presence of our creator.

John 4:23  The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him.

Over the years I have discovered, sometimes the hard way, that if I trust in the Lord each day, all day, no matter what happens, I come out a winner. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins oh, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Shepherd

Jeremiah 3: 15

I will give you Shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you, with knowledge, and understanding.

Jesus is the great Shepherd, and we are His sheep. Sheep are by nature afraid and nervous with just about everything. The presence of the shepherd however, puts them at ease. They know instinctively that he will protect them and take care of them if they follow him. With the protection of the shepherd, even wolves cannot harm them.

Matthew 9: 36, when He saw the crowds, He had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Isaiah 40: 11, He will tend His flock like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arms, He will carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

We are compared to sheep, because like them we are in a hostile world, and need a shepherd like person to protect us.

1 Peter 5: , Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you, not for shameful greed but eagerly.

satan is a wolf in our flock. Our pastors and spiritual leaders are the shepherd's directing our path. They were appointed by Jesus Himself, beginning with the apostles.

All of us cannot be pastors, but all of us have a responsibility to our families. Every father is supposed to be a spiritual leader in his house.

Proverbs 22 :6, train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Ephesians 6 :4, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

These verses make it pretty plain. When we lead our families in the way of the Lord, we are carrying on Jesus' work. Do it with all of your heart just as Jesus did. If you can help people other than direct family members, by all means do it, because Jesus did.

One important thing to remember. Being human we all get hurt feelings, but with the Lord  we can overcome them. If you do something for someone and they seem ungrateful, don't let it bother you, because it isn't whether or not the person you are helping is thankful, it depends on what God Himself thinks of it. Remember we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Be A Door Opener

It Is Written, Acts 1:8, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

I have had many conversations with many people over the last several years. I have noticed that it is very common, to hear peoples concerns about serving God, and following His plan for their lives.

The first thing you must understand, is that God determines what you do when you turn your life over to Him. You don't have to be a preacher, teacher, or missionary, to follow God's plan. He has a custom-made plan for each of us. We can follow, or reject, what God wants, at our peril. He does not force us to follow His plan.

First realize that God calls us through Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit. No mortal man saves anyone. We are all what I call door openers. When we follow Galatians 5:22-23 we are doing what God wants us to do. All believers upon salvation receive all the fruits of the Holy Spirit as proof.

Our whole purpose is to reflect Jesus light to unbelievers through how we live. Faith in action. In doing so, we open the door for the Holy Spirit to work in their lives. That was the whole purpose of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, to give us an example.

If that isn't following God's plan, I don't know what is. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Bad Decisions

It Is Written, Proverbs 28:26, whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.

There has never been, or ever will be, a human being who has never made a bad decision. Why is that? There are a number of reasons for that.

One of the top reasons is making decisions based on feelings, or emotional situations. Decisions made this way are almost always bad.

Another reason for bad decisions is haste. Quick, seat of the pants decisions are dangerous, and usually costly.

Not having all of the facts, or facts based on bad information, produce bad results.

When we make decisions, we are at the mercy of unforeseen people, conditions, events, or even timing. Again, impossible to know all of the variables and how they affect each other.

How do we make good decisions? If you read the verse from above, you should expect that there is a biblical answer.

As I often say, and I know it sounds repetitive, the fact is that most Christians do not realize that they have the Holy Spirit as a helper. Get in the habit of not making any decisions about anything, until you talk to the Holy Spirit. Quietly wait for an answer in faith. He always comes through. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, sometimes it takes a couple of minutes, but believe me no matter how long it takes the answer is worth it, and saves a lot of grief. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
