Christmas

I would like to tell you a true story of Christmas. It starts out like the story most people can relate to.
My wife and I had two children, many moons ago. When Christmas came each year, we did all we could to make our kids happy. Plenty of gifts all of the time. Everything was happy and fun.
Well, our sons grew up, and the older they got, the less fun it was. It just never seemed to be the same. As a matter of fact, as each Christmas came, I started to get depressed two weeks before. It became increasingly difficult thinking about Christmas.
A number of years ago, we finally figured out that Christmas was about Jesus, and not only about children and gifts. Every year we make an effort to remember that. When all of us gather for Christmas dinner with our close relatives, we have a birthday cake for Jesus. All of this really turned things around for me. The depression, and the empty feeling left me.
I'm happy to say, that now Jesus is in my heart in a special way. I have felt Jesus in my heart, for a long time. But for some reason, it seems multiplied by thousands of times now. He is God's greatest gift to us. Christmas now, has joy that I have not felt before, even more so than when our kids were small and at home.
When we replaced the so-called normal Christmas observance, with the gift of Jesus, and what His birthday means, all of the so-called normal Christmas traditions, are enjoyable again.
Remember this my friends. If Jesus didn't come, and later die and rise again, we would all be doomed to hell for eternity. If that isn't a reason for great joy, I don't know what is. We ask God's blessing on each person, and wish you a blessed and Happy Birthday Jesus. God bless you and your family. PraiseThe  Lord!
Remember Jesus loves You.
Prayer of salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
Amen

Are We Really Forgiven ?

It Is Written, Hebrews 8:12 and I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.
It is a sad fact that quite a few people carry a heavy burden of past sins. They are not convinced that God has forgiven them, because they cannot forgive themselves. If you are one of these people, stop beating yourself up. When Jesus died on the cross, all of our sins were forgiven, and would no longer be remembered, if we repent.
When God sent His Son Jesus on a rescue mission to save man, He meant all who repent. God did not specify certain people, what kind of sins, or how many, or how often.
The forgiveness of sins, and salvation for whoever accepted it, was part of the good news that Jesus preached. It was unconditional love from Jesus that made this possible.
You may not realize that caring that sin burden God forgave, is like saying that what Jesus did was not good enough. I don't think any of us wants to be guilty of thinking that way.
Be assured, that no matter how bad you have been in the past, or for how many years you were that way, if you repent from your heart, God forgave ALL of those sins, and does not remember them, so you shouldn't either. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Compassion

It Is Written, Colossians 3:12-13, since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
The definition of compassion is, sympathetic pity, and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others.
Most people feel sympathy for someone who is dealing with death of a loved one, or has some kind of serious illness. This is a feeling that our creator gave to each of us.
A problem that many people have at times, is a total lack of compassion. We have a tendency to look at people as being solely responsible for the situation they find themselves in. Examples could be, cancer from smoking, or liver disease from drinking, and so on. There are many others.
What seems as self-inflicted problems, are usually the result of bad decisions. Now we come to a very contentious statement. satan causes all of these problems. When a person is far from God, satan comes in and leads a person to make bad decisions, and a lifetime that leads to destruction.
As Christians, we should look at other people with compassion, and not judgementally. Remember, but for the grace of God, we would be in their place. Next time you see some unfortunate person, ask yourself what Jesus would do. If you can help, help, if that's not possible pray for them. It's not a bad idea to pray for them anyway. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Inner Joy and Peace

It Is Written, James 1:2-3, my brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
When you ask someone what the word joy means, they will probably say," a happy feeling". If you look at the word joy according to the times we live in, that would probably be a good answer.
Joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, that we receive when we are saved. Galatians 5:22 specifically mentions that fact. Joy is not an outward feeling as we know it. Most people say they do not have joy in their life, because they associate joy with happiness.
True joy is a spiritual thing, that you may not even recognize as joy. It comes when you find Jesus, and make Him a big part of your life. Joy is usually associated with an inner peace that you don't understand, and have never felt before.
Hope is defined in spiritual terms as expecting as fact, what you pray for. Are joy, peace, and hope, looking familiar?
When you live life with Jesus in it, as number one, you are automatically experiencing peace, joy, and hope, beyond understanding. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Blessings And Miracles

It Is Written, Isaiah 41:10, fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Lately some of my blogs are about things I heard from other preachers. As usual, I believe the Holy Spirit showed me the significance of what I heard. These following words are what was revealed to me.
Miracles usually occur when a situation is at crisis level, and no human intervention is possible. The power of God is revealed to believers and unbelievers alike.
Blessings are another story. When something happens, that is not according to our plans, from heavy traffic, to unexpected bills, and anything else, we can get upset, or call it a blessing.
I know that sounds a little crazy, but consider this. Most of the time, we have blessings and don't even know it. Now the hard part for many people.
We will use a delay in something as an example. That delay which may be irritating at first, may actually be preventing something bad that would have happened to us if we had not been delayed. So it is a blessing. Just trust that God's timing is perfect, and He always does what is best for those who love Him.
Blessings always preceed something better, if you see it as it really is. God blesses, satan curses. Philippians 4:13 says it all, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Loves Much

It Is Written, Luke 7:47, therefore I say to you, her sins which are many are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.
The words of this verse are familiar to most Christians. The sinful woman who anointed Jesus feet with oil, was a well-known sinner . As a matter of fact, she probably knew it more than anyone else.
Jesus told the parable of the creditor, and the two debtors, as an example to the Pharisees. They were more likely to get the meaning of this story, since there self-righteousness blinded them to their own ways.
If we are honest with ourselves, we have varying levels of joy about our salvation. If we live a regular life, don't intentionally do anything bad, in our opinion, we usually don't feel we are much of a sinner. Because we feel that way, we believe Jesus doesn't have much to forgive us for.
On the other hand, someone who is on drugs, or alcohol, maybe abusive to his family, and is in general, a very bad person, has a lot to forgive.
None of us is less a sinner in Jesus eyes, we are all guilty, and He died for all of us. If we look at ourselves through God's eyes, none of us measures up to His standards. All of us should feel the joy of salvation through Jesus, because His unconditional love led Him to die on the cross for all of our sins, regardless of how many, and how bad. No one is beyond God's forgiveness. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Commitment

It Is Written, Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.
Basically all believers want to please God. To this end, they try to follow Proverbs 3:5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.
People are always asking how you know what God's will is, and how do you know you are following Him?The Word of God is built on faith. Romans 10:17 says, so then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. When you know what the Word says, your faith grows.
The first thing in the morning, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in everything you think, say, and do, during the day. Then believe that you are following God's plan for you that day.
There is a way, that I heard about from a preacher, and it really made sense to me. It made me change what I do, to some extent. I am not saying this is the only way to do God's will, because I do both now.
Start the day committing everything you do, think, or say to the Lord. You are dedicating your whole self to God, as a way of praise, thanks, and honor to Him.
Committing, or dedicating, your whole heart and actions to God keeps you in touch with the Holy Spirit for guidance. Remember that you can do this through the power of the Holy Spirit and not on your own.
I believe if you give committing your heart and day to the Lord, you will be very happy that you did, and will have God's peace in your heart. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You.

We Are God's Arms And Legs

It Is Written, 1 John 4:13, by this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
As most of us know, God created us in His image. Since God is a spirit, we must also be spirit. The truth of this eluded me for a long time. It never really sunk in because I guess I was looking at it as if it was another person.
One day, I had an awakening. I am that spirit, and the person I thought I was, is nothing more than what I walk around in.
When Jesus was about to ascend to Heaven, He told the apostles in Mark 16:16-18, he who believes and is baptized will be saved: but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe; in My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Okay, what does that really mean?
I believe in my heart, that the Holy Spirit showed me. When Jesus was on this earth, He went around preaching, and working miracles. When we are saved, that same Holy Spirit that worked the power through Jesus life dwells in us. We have Jesus in us, and we are in Him. Therefore we are spirit with Christ.
Jesus is in the spiritual world, we are in the physical world. We are literally His voice, arms, and legs. He operates through us. We are the conduit through which His power passes to others. It is as if we have a power of attorney from Jesus. It is up to us to use it according to His will. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Our Helper

It Is Written, John 14:26, but the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
When people pray, they are usually asking God for something. There is nothing wrong with that, but prayers should also be a time of Thanksgiving and praise.
Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to help us, among other things. The Bible repeats that, many times. For some unknown reason, most people do not fully realize what that means.
In  past messages, it was revealed that when we were saved, the Holy Spirit came to live in us. We are a spirit, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us, making us one with the Holy Spirit.
Given that this is fact, based on the Word of God, we have unlimited power in Jesus name. When we declare a thing, such as a healing, in the name of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit, it is as we say and believe.
When we pray according to the Word of God, and Jesus name, and believe, nothing is impossible. When we finally realize that we are one with the Holy Spirit, and exercise our faith, based on what the Bible says, our faith will grow.
When we feed our spirit with the Word of God, our faith grows according to our knowledge of the Word of God. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Ministering Angels

It Is Written, Hebrews 1:14, are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
I recently received a newsletter from Copeland Ministries, that mentioned ministering Angels. It was very interesting.
I read a few books about Angels, written by Ellen G White, so I had a rough idea about Angels. For some reason, I believe it was the Holy Spirit, I really started to think about ministering Angels.
I read that there are Angels without number, kind of hanging around with nothing to do. These Angels needed jobs, but they can only do what God directs them to do. They can't do anything, that doesn't agree with the Word of God.
If you haven't dismissed me as wacky by now, I will tell you how we interpret all of this information. Since we believe the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and His power is available to us, in Jesus name, we step forth in faith.
We send ministering Angels out in Jesus name regularly. Sometimes we send them for a specific person and reason. Sometimes we send them for many people to help them find Jesus, and anything or anybody that needs help. All of this according to the Word of God.
We are determined to keep as many angels as possible, as busy as possible. Think about it. We believe in angels and their positive results. The quotation from Hebrews 1:14 backs up the idea of ministering Angels. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Fantasy

It Is Written, James 1:14-15, but each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
Have you ever found yourself changing your past, by fantasizing about a different life, that you could have lived?
Many people say things like "if I knew then". It is pretty common to feel that way, especially when you are having problems. The situation in the world these days, causes people to want to escape to something better.
Fantasizing is not a good idea for more than one reason. Fantasy can cause you to draw back from what is really going on. Fantasy can lead to all manner of sin, because it may lead you to do something that creates a price higher than you expect. For instance adultery.
The most important reason to avoid fantasizing, is spiritual. If your past life was unhappy, and not very satisfying, it was what you decided on your own. Your way, or God's way.
If you follow God's plan for your life, He will guide your steps to success. He will put in your heart what you are to do for your good. If you follow grudgingly, or not at all, there are consequences. You are in effect telling God that His plan is wrong. God will let you have your way if you insist, but beware. Every decision has consequences good or bad.
When you happily follow God's way, the consequences are unlimited blessings, and a better life than you could possibly have imagined. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

We Are Blessed

It Is Written, Jeremiah 17:7, blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.
The average person, including myself, has times when we want greener grass, or to see the other side of the hill. In plain language, we don't feel content.
Probably the biggest reason we aren't content, is because in our subconscious we do not see our blessings. Perhaps the reason is, that when people describe blessings, they talk about something big, most of the time. Blessings are usually seen as something material, that make someone happy for a short time. After all, everything is just temporary.
The description of blessings goes much deeper than that. The biggest blessing in my personal opinion is salvation. However there are many blessings that most people have in common. Examples are as mundane as eyesight, breathing, talking, walking, health, or good medical care, and many others we take for granted.
If you live in a peaceful place, where there is no armed conflict, you have freedom, have clean water, plenty of food, a warm ,dry, safe place to sleep, you are blessed.
It is by the grace and favor of God, not our own efforts that we are so blessed. We should all thank God every day on our knees for His love for us. One way to thank God is stop complaining, and pray for those who are less fortunate. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

The Spirit Man

It Is Written, John 4:24, God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
The Bible tells us that we were created in God's image. Since God is a spirit, we therefore must be spirits too.
Many, including myself, looked at that fact in a way that made that spirit like another person. When we prayed, we tried very hard to convince our brains to believe. We struggled with trying to find God's plan for our lives, and many other things.
One morning, while I was having private time with the Lord, I had what was to me, a profound revelation, and answered all of the questions. A voice in my heart told me that I am the spirit. In my person, right now. God is in me, and I am in Him, right now.
Being a spirit with God, means that I say and do what God says. The brain and body are servants of me the spirit, who passes on God's instructions when I pray in Jesus name. Whenever I use the name of Jesus it is done, just as Jesus himself did, because He was one with the Father. That put a whole new light on everything.
All true believers are spirits, that are one with God. Instead of praying for healing, and hoping the Holy Spirit will do it, we have a knowing that what we pronounce in Jesus name, is done because the Holy Spirit, speaks through us.
The realization that we are spirits, and are one with God who is Spirit, we can live minute by minute, trusting God loves us. Because we trust in His love, we have no reason to fear anything, including tomorrow. We must trust Him only, not ourselves or anyone else. 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us for we walk by faith, not by sight. God bless you and your family.               Praise The Lord!

How It Hurts

It Is Written, Romans 12:18, if it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
As we go through life, all of us at one time or another have experienced hurt feelings. You know, things like a forgotten birthday, unkind words or actions, or even inactions toward us. Being disappointed by someone is certain to cause hurt feelings, or resentment.
Hurt feelings are a part of life, there is no getting away from it. Sometimes someone hurts us, and does not even know they did. Other times someone may hurt us on purpose.
Being hurt can be something someone said to us, about us, or someone we love. The more we love someone, the bigger the hurt. We hurt others the same way. On purpose, and not even realizing we hurt them.
Have you ever considered how often you hurt God? We are all His children. Jesus died to make that happen. When we hurt each other, we hurt God more, because He loves all of us.
When we complain, do everything our way, and fail, we are not following God's plan for us. That hurts Him. When we do not appreciate the grace and favor He gives us, we hurt Him more than we can imagine.
As you can see, there are plenty of hurt feelings to go around,no matter who we are. We need to react the way God does, forgive and love the person that hurt us.  God bless you and your family.  Praise the Lord!

The Devil's Smokescreen

It Is Written, 1 Peter 5:8, be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Have you ever started your day feeling really good, because everything seemed to be going so good for you? Did it stay that way, or did it seem to fall apart? Most if not all people, have had that experience, many times. What happened?
What happened was, satan started to work. He wants people to suffer as much as possible. He may start out slow to see who he is dealing with. If he sees that he is getting to you, he will turn up the pressure, and keep turning it up.
His goal is to keep your mind from turning to God, so he works on your mind to make it exaggerate the situation. His goal is to make you feel helpless and hopeless. He wants to divert your attention from God, and for you to blame God.
If you have a relationship with Jesus, you also have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will warn you of satan's attempt if you listen for His voice, and He will help you to resist and rebuke satan in Jesus name.
When you accept Jesus as Savior, and meditate on His Word, you build a relationship. The strength of the relationship, and power over satan, depends on how well you know and love Jesus. When you know the Word, you have all the tools to fight satan. God bless you and your family.      Praise the Lord!

Expectations

It Is Written Psalm 5:3, my voice you shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to you, and I will look up.
When the average person becomes a Christian, they often expect that all problems and hardships are over. They find out soon enough, this is not true.
After a little while it is common for a person to ask some questions. What happened? Am I really saved? Did I do something wrong? Does God really loves me? Sound familiar?
Let me assure you of a few things. First of all, if you truly repented of all your sins, and accepted Jesus and His death and resurrection, as your Savior, you are saved. Nothing can take that away from you.
Now, about the problems. We live in a fallen world, and satan and evil are running wild. satan attacks everyone, but those who love God are able to overcome. God has a plan for each of us. He allows things to happen, in order to grow our faith. Without problems, how would our faith grow?
God is in control, and will never leave those who love Him. As time goes by, you'll see that the plan God has for believers, is to get them to Heaven. What we see is temporary, but the spiritual is forever. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Eyes Open

It Is Written, Matthew 24:6-7, and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
Let me start out by saying that what you are about to read, is not intended to scare anyone. It's about truth and hope. In Romans 11:8 we read God has given them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.
It is painful to see how much evil there is. People think nothing of killing dozens of people at a time, and are unwilling to see the truth of what they are doing. To many, what they believe, or deceived into believing, is their truth.
As we hear in the news, someone getting killed at random is not an unusual happening, it could happen to you or me. I hear something like  what occurred in Las Vegas, Orlando, or even if it's just one person, I always hope that they know Jesus.
The whole point of all this, is to get people to see that they cannot put off salvation. It is too late when you die. It is not silly, or stupid to go to Jesus, it is stupid not to. Is your pride worth an eternity in the bad place?
If you love someone, or even strangers, pray for their salvation. Salvation through Jesus is priceless. Remember He suffered, died, and rose again, for that purpose, that we be saved. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

God in Your Life

It Is Written, Colossians 3:17, and whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
I would like to tell you about a low time, walking with God. It happened some time ago, but it was on my heart today, because I believe someone needs to hear this.
Without realizing that a faith issue was beginning to happen, I slowly started to worry about a certain problem with finances. I told myself that God is my provider, and source for everything, but the words seemed hollow. The Bible says in Philippians 4:19, and my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
As I was struggling with my faith, I spent less time with the Lord, not on purpose, but for lack of joy. James 4:7 says therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
At that point I suddenly realized that the Holy Spirit was trying to tell me a few things. If God is not number one in my life, it means something else is. Whenever you ignore God and His Word, your joy leaves.
Believing the verses I quoted, the Holy Spirit showed me that satan was involved in my dilemma. At that point, and in Jesus name I reminded satan what Jesus did, took away his (satan's) power over me. I cast him out in Jesus name, knowing he must leave.
After that episode, the Holy Spirit brought back my joy, and increased my awareness of God's love for me. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Learn From The Past

It Is Written, Isaiah 43:18-19, do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
We are often told that we should forget the past. That is true to a point. The past can be a blessing, or a curse, depending on your point of view.
The past is a curse, when you look at it, and beat yourself up over it. Looking at what you did, or what happened in the past, with self-pity, and regrets, can destroy the rest of your life. It can also destroy everyone you love, and keep you from finding God.
The past is a blessing, if you look at everything, no matter how painful, as a learning experience. When you see what you did wrong, you can avoid similar experiences in the future.
The key to the blessing is, take ownership of your failures. Do not blame others. You do not grow, or learn anything, if you think others caused your problems. Remember you played a part in everything, by doing things your way.
If you look at the good things that happened for no apparent reason, it was probably the Holy Spirit trying to get your attention. Don't pooh-pooh that idea. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you, and wait for an answer. Even if you are not a believer yet, it doesn't change the facts as laid out. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Hard Way, or Disaster

It Is Written, Proverbs 16:9, a man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
At some point in life, everyone must make a decision, as to which way their life is headed. Most people do not even realize that.
One way is for you to make all of the decisions. Most people take that route, without stopping to think about the consequences of those decisions. I guess most of us never stop to consider how the odds are stacked against us when we do that.
Decisions are made on a daily basis, based on horrible information. You can't possibly know how many people might be involved, to affect the outcome. Others emotions, agenda, truth or not, and many other factors come into play. This routine plays out with every choice.
When you choose God's way, the exact opposite is true. God knows and arranges everything, and everyone, for your advantage. The bonus is salvation. There is no escaping the fact, that doing it God's way is very difficult for most of us. We must give up control that we think we have, and trust in the Lord whom we cannot see.
The simple fact that of the matter is, our way leads to disaster and destruction, and God's way leads to success and salvation. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

A Part of Someone's Salvation

It Is Written, Proverbs 3:5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
When you became a Christian, were you so excited that you wanted to become a preacher? Join the club. I too felt that way. I believe it is pretty common for new believers to feel that way.
We see people preaching, writing books, becoming missionaries, and we feel a little envy. We want to serve the Lord too in some way, because we are so grateful for salvation.
Here are some simple truths. God directs our paths, according to His plan for our good. There are no big or small jobs in God's mind. Everyone who tries faithfully, to do what God directs them, is doing a big job. The common denominator, is obedience to God's plan.
If you trust in God, you are living His plan. There are countless Christians out there, who are leading others to Jesus, and don't even know it. God knows however. How are they doing that? The answer is simple. When you live according to the Word, you are influencing others, whether you realize it or not. You could be planting the seed of salvation in many people.
Remember this simple fact, an Army has a small number of generals, and millions of ordinary soldiers doing their part. We are all in God's Army. It is God who decides what job we fill in that army. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Consequences

It Is Written, Galatians 6:7-8, do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh, will of the flesh, reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit, will of the spirit reap everlasting life.
All of us by now, probably realize that all decisions have consequences. Your free will determines if consequences are good or bad.
When we disobey, or do not trust God by doing things our way, we are responsible for what happens. We choose our plans, wants, and desires over God. Ours are based on the things of the world, and the lies of satan. satan hates us, and deceives us into believing that things of the world are the answer, like when he deceived Adam and Eve into believing that the tree God told them not to eat from, would make their life like God's. He told them that God told them not to eat from it, because God didn't want them to be like Him.
When we obey God, God becomes responsible for consequences. We cannot see the future, while God knows the future. We cannot manipulate time, people, or circumstances, but God can. The result is outcomes for our good. Unlike anyone in the world, God cannot lie. Right there that shows you how following God is the right answer, His word, the Bible says so. Even if you could decide on something, it would probably be based on lies from people and circumstances directed by satan. When you decide to let  God do it, you are a winner.
God forgives all who come to Him, but the consequences for past decisions, still last. Do yourself a giant favor. Confess, go to Jesus, and obey Him. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Truth in the Word

It Is Written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
I was talking to a friend the other day about the truth of what is written in the Word. We discussed how it affected our lives, and whether it really applies to us in these times. Take for instance, divine healing. Some people believe it is possible, but doubt it would happen to them. Most people, even some large denominations do not believe at all.
So what is the truth? Here are a couple of facts to consider. Using the name of Jesus, is not magic. Many people don't believe, because they haven't received what they prayed for, even though they used Jesus name. Why?
In Jesus ministry, faith was required. On a few occasions that were recorded, Jesus said, as you believe let it be done unto you. In Matthew 8:13, Jesus told the centurion and, "go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you". All things are possible, as stated in Matthew 19:26 when Jesus looked at His disciples, and said, " with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible".
The name of Jesus can accomplish the impossible when used in faith. That is a fact, the Bible says so. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you overcome the noise of the world, and help you see the truth in the Word. Think on this. What God says, cannot be changed by satan. Since that is true, then the Bible must be true, because it is the Word of God. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Abolish Problems

It Is Written, 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
If you could abolish all of your problems in an instant, would that make you happy? What if everything that was a problem, got results for your best, would you be happy?
There is a way to deal with problems, that will make them go away. That way, is to give them to the Lord. Does that sound too easy, or too hard? Let's look at it from both sides.
When you give all of your cares to the Lord, it is because you know Him and trust Him. You probably consider Him of much more value and trust, than anything in this world. You know He will do it, because He says so, in the Bible.
Reasons for not casting your cares on the Lord. You don't trust Him to do it, or you think He can't do it. Maybe the things of this world mean more to you than salvation. The things of this world may have become your God, without you even realizing it. Another possibility is, you are afraid God will not do it your way.
We have a free will. The Bible says God only wants our good, and that can only be if we let Him do it. satan uses the things of the world like a nose ring on nonbelievers. He is pulling all of his followers to hell with him.
Some of this may seem harsh, but truth is truth, and the choice is yours. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Coping with Life

It Is Written, and my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Life is a gift from God, whether you believe it or not. The problem is that most people have their spiritual eyes closed. They see through very dark glasses.
If you look at your life compared to 90% of the people in this world, you are blessed. Think about these examples.
You probably look at the space between meals, in hours, some people look at it in days. You have good, nutritious food. Some people are lucky if they find food in a dumpster. If you get sick, you get medicine from a Dr., and you are well. Most people can't get the simplest medicine, and die from some illness that has the simplest cure. I think we get the idea.
I say all of this, because at one time, I was like that. I complained when I had it all. I didn't realize that I had an attitude of, God how can you do this to me? I didn't realize it was pride talking. I never considered that complaining about a blessing, was slapping God in the face, and telling Him that He did a lousy job with my life. It is because He loves us so much, that He doesn't strike us with lightning. Get right with God, and ask the Holy Spirit to show you, and renew your heart. That's what I did when I finally woke up. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Spirit And Body

It Is Written, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

This message is about something that most people don't think about. These comparisons are absolutely true descriptions of life.

If you grew up feeling like a weakling, and unhappy about how you feel physically, including how you look, you would probably go about changing this image of yourself.

People that are serious about change, face up to the fact, that they must change their behavior. The normal routine would be to eat properly, sleep enough, and exercise.

Most of these things can be unpleasant, but the inescapable fact is, you will only improve anything, according to the level of effort and persistence on your part. Wishing won't do it, effort and persistence will.

There are many Christians, who do not enjoy the relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, that they should have. They look at Christians that have these relationships, and wish they had the same.

Here is one inescapable truth. Your spiritual life is directly related to how big God is in your life. Study the Word, and live according to the Word. No magic, just effort and persistence. God cannot be found without looking for Him, and trying to build a relationship with Him by knowing who He is. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Worry-Tool of Satan

It Is Written, Psalm 37:23, the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.
Most people go through life worrying about this and that. If people knew or believed, just how dangerous worry is, most would stop worrying immediately.
For instance do you realize, that worry is faith in the negative? Worry is one of satan's most powerful tools. He uses it to try to get people to doubt God's Word, and to stop trusting God.
Another fact is, 90% of what we worry about, never happens. Figure it this way, as an example. Let's say if the worst does happen, you have one bad day. If you worry about something, one week, you have seven bad days. So you suffer a total of eight days. If the bad thing doesn't happen, you had seven bad days, for no good reason.
There are many books about positive thinking and the results. Most of these authors  were not believers, but they hit on a couple of truths.
The Word of God, is the Word of life. The Word does not talk about positive thinking, which is temporary, but rather trusting in God, which is spiritual and lasts forever.
Worry is negative. Worry therefore is faith in the negative. Have trust in God, because that doesn't fail. God is love, and spiritual is forever. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

You Have Influence

It Is Written, 1 Timothy 4:12, let no one despise your youth, but be an  example to the believer's in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Have you ever considered the fact that you influence others? Do you think that only people in high positions have influence on others  Here is a hot flash for you my friends.  Ephesians 1 for you. As far as God is concerned, all believers are in a high position.
Just as most people pick up many habits and mannerisms of their parents, believers should be imitators of Jesus. Ephesians 5:1, and 1 Peter 2:21 makes it pretty plain, what our responsibilities as believers are.
If you watch TV or read newspapers you are probably well aware of the hate and evil thoughts and actions, from people who claim to be Christians. Do you think that hate speech, and violence, really reflect Jesus? Many people in the media and even the government have an agenda to destroy this country by stirring up as much hate as they can.
In spite of how things look God is still in charge. His plan is for us to imitate Jesus and be a light to the world. He put us here to show love, mercy, and do good works, so that others seeing us as real followers of Jesus might also accept Jesus as their Savior. What example are you giving in your life? If you died today, would you be ready? God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Look Around

It Is Written, Matthew 24:6, and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
When you look at the news, and notice how things look in these times, how do you feel? Are you frightened by all of the violence and hate?
Yes, these things can be frightening, but I choose to believe the Bible. It would be a good idea for you too. It helps us understand the times.
Everything that is happening and will happen is covered in the Word of God, the Bible. When you read the Bible, it warns of what is to come. The outcome is different for believers and nonbelievers.
It is foolishness to some, but truth to many of us. Our greatest goal should be Heaven. God's word tells us how to be sure we get there. The Bible tells us that believers will be taken up, before the really horrendous events take place.
Many of us believe, that we are in the beginnings of the end times. No one knows for sure when the end will come. It could be tomorrow, or 5000 years from now, only God knows. All we know for sure is that it will happen. The time to accept Jesus is now. Five minutes from now may be too late. Let him who has ears to hear, hear and those who have eyes to see, see. Praise The Lord. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Seeing Jesus

It Is Written, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, for this we say to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. The Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an Archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord . And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
This verse is interpreted by most preachers as what is referred to as the rapture. Some people argue that the word rapture is not in the Bible, and they are correct. The word rapture is real however.
In old English literature, and even a few Dickens novels, it is the word for "carried away". The New Testament was written in Greek. The Greek word for "taking away" was harpazo. The translators later came up with the English word rapture.
Christians all over the world are waiting for the rapture. They believe they will be taken up by God in an instant. The problem is, no one knows when. Each generation, especially the current one, has belief it was their generation.
Not changing the subject, the fact of the matter is, every generation gets to see God in their lifetime. It may not be the rapture we expect, but at the end of our lives, we go straight to God anyway. As you and I get older, we get closer to the time when we will see God in person. So each person gets carried away, anyway. Our spirit has its own private rapture. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Remind Yourself

It is written, Psalm 32:10, many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.
Every living person, has problems, doubts, and feelings of anxiety. Not everyone deals with, or is affected by their circumstances in the same way.
If you don't know Jesus, or don't accept Him as your Savior, you must deal with life by yourself. If you are one of these people, you probably know by now that the things of this world are not a cure. When you realize this fact, you probably get depressed and feeling like there is no hope.
Someone who has Jesus has a totally different outlook. They lean on what Jesus said, and give everything to Him to take care of. The Bible is the written Word of God. That being the case, everything in it must be true. When Jesus says something, He is saying and doing what His father tells Him. If you are a believer, you have the same Father.
Jesus trusted His father, and lived His father's plan for His life. Our job is to follow Jesus example for us. If you are true believer, and leave everything in God's hands, you will be following His plan for your life. Always remind yourself of this, and do it His way, and you win. God's plan is perfect, and is always for our best, whether we realize it or not. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

The Empty Space

It Is Written Psalm 51:10, create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Have you ever felt like there is a huge empty space in your heart? An empty space that you can't seem to fill? You are not alone.Do you ever wish you had a passion for Jesus and His Word, that you see other people have? When you hear others talk about how much they love Jesus, and how much He loves them, do you ever wish you could feel that too?
After asking the Holy Spirit why all of these things seem to describe me at times, I believe He explained it to my heart. It is quite simple. This is what I believe He put in my heart.
That empty space is a spiritual one. It can only be filled with Jesus. When we were saved, our spirit selves rejoice, and experience all of the joy, love, and passion for Jesus that cannot be measured or explained. It is still there, now and forever.
Simple fact of the matter is, our minds create the problem, when they are not fed regularly with the Word of God, or He is not number one in our lives. He may not be number one in our lives all of the time because we get sidetracked and go running off in another directions.
Know that your spirit self is righteous through Jesus, and your mind will follow, when the Lord Jesus is number one. You can get a good idea if the Lord is number one, when you spend more time with Him than you do with anything else. This doesn't necessarily mean reading the Bible for five hours straight. It can also mean thinking about Him for five or 10 seconds, a number of times during the day and trying to act like He expects us to act as His followers. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Beware satan's Trap

It Is Written, Romans 2:1, therefore you are inexcusable, o man, whoever you are who judge, or whatever you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge, practice the same things.
satan's goal is to get as many souls as he can to spend eternity with him. In order to do this, he has countless ways to deceive us. The Bible lists most of the sins in such a way that it leaves no doubt as to what God thinks. It is written in Mark: 20-23, what comes out of a man, defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of man, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornication, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness all these evil things come from within and defile a man.
satan takes every sin known to man, and puts a spin on them, in order to make us think there is nothing wrong with any of these sins. Even people high in government, have made pronouncements against many Bible beliefs, including how to get to Heaven without Jesus.
Our political correctness, celebrates evil as good, and good as evil. They tell people that the Bible should follow their example, and adjust to the times. Remember this as you hear this stuff. God created us, gave us rules of behavior, and does not change. No government, person, or organization, can overrule God.
If you read and believe God's Word and follow it, you have nothing to fear. If you follow the world, you'll find out when it is too late, that satan deceived you the same way he deceived Eve. satan has been at it a  long time, but he will not win. The Bible says so. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

It's Not About Us

If you ever wondered why you are here, read and study, as well as believe today's verse.1 Corinthians 13:1-13.
When God sent His only son on a rescue mission to save man, God the Father sacrificed His most precious possession, His son Jesus. Jesus in turn gave everything He had, in order to save all who would accept Him. Jesus lived according to the Word of God. He showed us by His example, how we should live.
As it is written in Mark 16:15-18, and He said to them, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, he will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.
In order to even begin to follow God's Word we must make the decision that God will be, and is number one in our lives. Matthew 6:24 says, no one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Man. It is said in James 4:4, adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enemy with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
As you can see from all of these verses my friends, it is about God, not us. We were put here for a reason. His word tells us what that reason is, and we receive all of His love and help on our trip to eternity. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Happiness Is

It Is Written, Ecclesiastes 3:13 and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God.
Many people are not really aware of the fact that one of the reasons God put us here, is to be happy. The Bible is full of verses about joy in our hearts, and that confuses some people about the joy of the Lord, and plain old human happiness.
A couple of examples. There are many situations in life that cause unhappiness. Family problems, financial, health, job, and the list goes on. When you're unhappy, you open the door to bad decisions, or behavior, that can and usually does lead to more unhappiness. We may even be angry with God and blame Him for all of our woes.
When we trust in God however and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we make good decisions. Those decisions result in success and happiness. When we allow God into our lives, we are in a position to help others, follow Jesus teachings, and live the way we were created:.
God put us here to know, love, and serve Him. He helps us every second of our lives, so we could have a good life and eternity with Him. He gave us the job of helping others in His name, so they could know, love, and serve Him. In so doing we are following the example that Jesus gave us. Remember that life is a series of choices, so choose well. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

One Man's Sin

It Is Written, Romans 5:18, therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one man's righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
When I was young, I thought God was very unfair because of Adam and Eve. Why should their sin pass on to everyone? Many people I knew, felt pretty much the same way.
As I got older and found Jesus, the truth hit me like a ton of bricks. Adam and Eve passed dominion of the world to satan when they sinned. satan's influence affects everyone on this earth, one way or another, so sin is,  unavoidable for the most part.
Man cannot make up for sin, so the sins of everyone were put on Jesus to pay for. Because of Jesus death and resurrection, all who accept Him as Savior, are pardoned of all their sins, and receive salvation upon repentance and acceptance of Jesus as Savior.
We were born with a free will. We choose who we follow, God or satan. Jesus death and resurrection conquered satan for all time. So the fact is the choice is ours. Choose wisely. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

The Blood

It Is Written, Hebrews 9:22, and according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood, there is no remission.

Anyone familiar with the Bible realizes that blood plays a major role throughout the history of Israel.

Lambs blood was spilled in the Old Testament, in atonement for sins. Lambs blood on door posts at the time of the Exodus was to indicate to death that it must pass the house.

Jesus is the Lamb of God. God sent Him to shed His blood for the sins of man, because only His blood was capable of doing it. When Jesus shed His blood for us, we became righteous in God's eyes

I have always believed that if someone had the blood of Jesus on a towel or even a rag, it had the power to heal physically, spiritually, and mentally. The cloth from Paul touched the sick person, and they were healed. How much greater is Jesus? The Holy Spirit does the miracles in any case.

One of my favorite ways to pray, starts out with, in the name of Jesus, and by His blood, through the power of the Holy Spirit. There is real prayer answering power in these words. Try it. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Win The Battle

It Is Written, Ephesians 6:12, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
As we go through life, each of us encounters many things that upset us. There are also opportunities that are not good for us, but have varying degrees of pleasure in our minds.
In life we have, doubts, fears, anxieties of all kinds. Unfulfilled wants and needs. The biggest want, is usually our biggest need, and that is our dream. Relationships can help to some extent but they can also make things worse, because sometimes they fuel the situation, and make things worse in our minds.
I hope you realize by now, that all bad and sinful things come from satan. He wants you to spend eternity with him. He creates many illusions, in order to fool people into doing things his way, because he hates them so much.
Jesus on the other hand, loves each of us, and wants the best for us. If we go to Him, and ask Him to help us do everything His way, the end result is a good life, and an eternity with Him.
If God doesn't give you what you ask for, realize that maybe the timing is not right, or what you want will in some way hurt you. God knows your heart, and always gives us more than we ask or think. If you want to win the battle of life, get on the side of the creator of life. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Envy Has Friend's

It Is Written, Galatians 5:19-21, now the works of the flesh are evident, which are; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, deceptions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, rivalries, and the like; of which I tell you before hand, just as I told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Envy is defined as a feeling of discontented or resentful longing, aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck. As you can see from the above verse, envy keeps company with a lot of other sinful things according to the Lord.
Many people use expressions such as, I envy so-and-so's great job, house, car, or whatever. You may have even said or felt what is often called, a little jealous.
There is no such thing as a little sin in God's eyes. Maybe that is because every evil thought, leads to other evil thoughts. Envy and its closest sister jealousy, can even lead to anger against God. People blame God because they don't have what they think they deserve. There is no need to make any other kind of a list of possible sins, they are all listed in Galatians 5:19-21, today's verse.
Remember this important point. This is a fallen world, because it goes against God's Word. It is what God thinks, that we should follow, not what the world or some politician thinks. Just because people, or a government, approve of something, it doesn't mean it is right. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

"Times That Try Men's Souls"

That was written by Thomas Paine, on 12/23/1776. He of course was referring to the American Revolution that was going on at that time.
It Is Written, Proverbs 3:5-6 trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
You don't have to be a genius to figure out that the entire world is a mess. No country is untouched by violence or natural disasters.
Many people believe that we are in the end times, because daily events all over the world, seem to line up with the description of the end times as it is  written in the Bible. Whether we are in the end times or not, it really doesn't matter. God is not sleeping, He knows everything that is going on, and how and when things work out according to His plan.
If you are saved, and believe in the Word of God, and trust Him, you know where you stand, and how it turns out. We win.
If you are with God, you have nothing to fear,no matter how ugly things look. People that spread panic and fear, such as some of the media, wouldn't be talking that way if they knew God.
It all boils down to trusting God, and not paying any attention to nonbelievers. They are in their own world created by them, because they choose to follow satan instead of God. They do have reason to worry, because their faith is placed in the wrong place. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Rebellion Is Dangerous

It Is Written, Proverbs 17:11, an evil man seeks only rebellion; therefore a cruel messenger will be sent against him.
You may be wondering what this verse means, and where does rebellion fit in. You will get some understanding from the following.
God tells us that He has a great plan for our lives. It is up to us to follow it or not. It is common for people to say that they cannot imagine how they could figure out what God's plan is. At one time, I felt that way too.
The easiest way to do it, is a dedicate your day to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, before you make any decisions. I'm not talking about what to eat or what to wear, I'm talking about decisions that affect your relationship to God, your family, the people you associate with, and so on.
When we do it the way the Holy Spirit guides us, including the timing, it all works out great. Have you ever noticed how many decisions you made on your own, went wrong? Is the verse starting to make sense?
When we do things our way, we are telling God that His way is wrong. We reject Him, and in doing that, we open the door to satan and experience the hatred that satan has for us.
One more thing. We open up ourselves to all manner of sin, that can destroy us, and send us to the bad place. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Who, And What To Pray For

It Is Written, James 5:15-16, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Prayer is a very powerful thing. How do you decide who or what to pray for?
Many people approach prayer like a shopping list. It is usually about all kinds of things for themselves. While this is not a sin, it isn't what God had in mind.
Praying for others is an extremely powerful way to pray. Jesus always prayed for others. When you sincerely pray for others, you are blessed too.
If you ask the Holy Spirit, who or what to pray for, He will let you know. If you sincerely pray for who or what the Holy Spirit tells you, there is no question about whether or not that prayer will be answered. It will!
As all of us know, answers to prayer requires faith. satan however tries to plant doubt, and many times, if not most of the time, he wins. I believe the Holy Spirit helps us to know in our hearts what to do, so do not fail to do it.
When you pray, instead of trying to have faith on your own, and fighting doubt, just have faith that the Holy Spirit will make it happen. After all, all the power comes from Him. Pray, thank Him, and take yourself out of the picture. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
