My Time With Jesus Tuesday

The News Today

Ephesians 4:26-27, Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath nor give place to the devil.

Every day we hear the news. Most of the time the news is worse than it was the day before. The news we hear is always bad for a couple of good reasons. One of them, satan wants to incur our hatred for people and things that are going on.

satan will go out of his way to make people blame God for all the evil in this world. The more he can make you doubt and blame God the happier he is, and the closer he is to succeeding in his goal of condemning you.

Matthew 13:19, When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

2 Corinthians 2:11, lest satan should take advantage of us for we are not ignorant of his devices.

satan uses every method and trick he can come up with to bring doubt, despair, and cause us not to trust God. The media in most cases deliberately avoids any stories that show something positive.

So called news, calls good evil, and evil good. They twist and lie about what is going on. They take things that are condemned by the Bible and stir everyone up so that they can condemn anything that is considered the word of God.

satan continually promotes evil among his followers and causes them to grab on to as much as they can. Social media plays a huge part in promoting satan’s work. They are reinforced by  peer pressure, virtue signaling, and all the made-up lies that people can come up with no matter how horrendous or ridiculous.

1 John 5:18-19, We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

Always follow the word of God. Trust him in all situations, and if you feel a little bit of doubt, ask Him to help your unbelief.

James 4:7, therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

God's Promises Sunday

Thankful Or Grateful

Ephesians 5:20, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Many of us have been trained as youngsters to be thankful if someone gave us something. As we get older, it gets more complicated. The words grateful and gratitude come into the picture.

As a young person I believed all of these words had similar meanings. In a way they do, but other things enter into it too. Most of my life I was not too good at showing thankfulness, even though I was thankful. I think this is a common problem. People expect to be thanked as it shows acceptance of a kind act and that we are happy. That in turn makes them happy.

Colossians 3:17, and whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

The fact is you really must look at the words and make judgments as to how they apply. If someone gives you a card for your birthday you generally will say thank you. Grateful, however, is a whole different story in my opinion. The Lord Jesus Christ died and rose again to save us and forgive our sins, should we be thankful for grateful?

I believe thankful and grateful are matters of the heart. Saying thanks is a polite reaction to someone who gives or does ordinary things. When something really important takes place, it is above the ordinary, and requires a response that is above the ordinary, and that means gratitude.

In my own opinion, if God did it, I am deeply grateful and I try to do better. In life, kind acts deserve sincere thanks. It all comes down to how you look at it. It certainly is no crime whichever way you acknowledge something that was good or kind.

Amen.

Rightly Serving God

Isaiah 6:8, also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said, “here am I, send me”.

When we become Christians, we find out that many responsibilities go with it. Among the biggest ones is not judging others. What does that mean?

James 4:12, there is one law Giver who is able to save, and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?

We soon find out that it is the Creator’s job to judge others. We also find that forgiveness washes away sin, but not the consequences of that sin.  There are some circumstances where we have no choice but to judge in some way.

If you oversee people, you must keep certain things in mind. If one of your employees does something wrong, you correct him for what he did, and no other reason. Don’t judge the person, judge the action and never judge on emotion or any of a number of different things.

John 7:24, Do not judge according to appearance but judge with righteous judgment.

Our justice system is based on innocence until proven guilty, but unfortunately that is not always the case. Any one person, or participant in the case, could be lying, distorting truth, omitting facts, or otherwise tainting a Court proceeding.

We have elections for all types of things. We know how they go. We are like a man with a candle walking in the dark looking for an innocent man.

Titus 3:2, Speak evil of no one, be Peaceable, gentle showing all humility toward all men.

So, given all these scenarios what are we to do? Fortunately, there is an answer that covers each of these examples and more.

Start out by asking Our Father God, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to help us make decisions based on what is true according to what Jesus would do. Ask for a clean heart, clear mind, and the ability to see the way Jesus would see it.

As we go through life, we see many of what we call evil people. We are to pray for people, and then pray for just outcomes.

Judging takes plenty of prayer and thought to get it right. Remember the day is coming soon when our Lord Jesus Christ will set things right for eternity.

Amen.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Time For Miracles

Jude 1:22, Have mercy on those who doubt.

The Bible tells us about miracles in both the Old and the New Testament. In the Old Testament almighty God used miracles in certain circumstances that required them. A classic example would be the Exodus.

In the New Testament the Lord Jesus Christ used miracles to show His divinity to a people that required it. A good example would be when He fed the crowd with the loaves and fish.

If you really study what Jesus did, you’ll see that the people who received a miracle were in desperate times in their lives. Only a miracle could help them.

Something you will not find, is Jesus working miracles for His earthly self. He let Life play out as it is written, and used circumstances, but never changed the outcome of anything.

Even though the Lord Jesus gave His Apostles authority to perform miracles they could only do as they were directed by the Spirit of God.

In these times we pray for a miracle, but we have to wait because almighty God, like the Lord Jesus, prefers to work things out by natural means. By doing things that way many people are blessed because they were a part of our answer.

Miracles happen every day all over the world. They are usually in an instant, in a particularly bad or dangerous situation. The problem is that many people don’t say anything because they think everyone will laugh and ridicule them.

Another problem is that the world media is basically anti-God and censors’ good news but glorifies bad news. Sometimes if not most times they lie by making up stories people want to hear.

Another reason it seems to take forever for prayer to be answered is because it is generally a test of faith. Think about it, anybody can believe when everything is right in their minds, but it takes much more to believe when things don’t look like they’re working out.

Hebrews 11:6, but without faith it is impossible to please Him for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Romans 10:17, so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner.

Atheists Are Fulfilling Bible Prophecy

Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

There are many people in this world who not only reject the Lord Jesus Christ, but they also hate Him and those who believe in Him.

In these times even some mainstream religions reinterpret the Bible and even have the nerve to change what is written according to their own minds and society.

1Timothy 4:1, Now the spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.

2 Timothy 3:1-5, but know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head strong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying its power, and from such people turn away!

And living like they do, all of these people who hate God are actually following God’s word. While they go about twisting God’s word, they are adding more credibility to the word. It isn’t global warming or any other fantasy. Two plus two equals four no matter how you twist it, deny it, or don’t accept it, two plus two is four and always will be. Denial does not change the truth.

Luke 21:11, And there will be great earthquakes in various places as well as famines and pestilences, and there will be fearful sights and great signs from Heaven.

Matthew 24:6-8, you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled because all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet.  Nation will rise against Nation and Kingdom against Kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

A prudent person who hasn’t quite committed himself to satan will look at what is going on and change their ways. These are facts, and denial does not change them.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4,  even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the God of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God should shine on them.

Matthew 24:14, and this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, I Repent of those sins and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

A Lesson From Jonah

2 Chronicles 7:14, If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Many people read this verse and believe such a thing is impossible. What if I told you that such an event happened in the Old Testament?

Jonah was instructed by God to go to Nineveh and cry out to them about their wickedness, he refused and went in the opposite direction to Tarshish.

Jonah didn’t get very far, because the Lord Our God caused a great storm at sea so that the ship, he was on was in danger of sinking. Jonah finally admitted to the crew members that it was his fault because God was angry at him because he didn’t obey.

He told the crew to throw him overboard and the sea would be calm. So, they did, and the sea went calm.

When Jonah was in the water the Lord caused a great fish to swallow him. Jonah was in the fish for three days and three nights. All that time he prayed, and the Lord caused the great fish to vomit Jonah unto dry land.

Once again, the Lord told Jonah to go to Nineveh and preach to them about repenting. The king of Nineveh issued a decree that all 120,000 people and their animals do not eat or drink and be covered with sackcloth and ashes and repent continuously. This included the king and all his court.

When God saw that they turned from their evil ways He relented and did not destroy them. At that Jonah pouted and became angry at God.

Jonah prayed. He told the Lord that he disobeyed because he knew that God would forgive them because He is merciful and loves much. He thought they deserved to be punished.

Jonah didn’t want the people of Nineveh to escape God’s wrath, so when he disobeyed, he was directly going against God’s will.  He even asked God to take him, but fortunately for him God forgave him to.

So, you see, if all Christians followed 2 Chronicles, we could have peace and not destruction in this world.  Instead of judging what is going on in this world we need to keep our two cents out of it and let God do the judging. Almighty God is the creator therefore He is the only one that can punish or forgive as He decides. Remember one important thing. Everything that happens in this world is allowed by God because it is part of His plan. If everyone prays for forgiveness that is also a part of God’s plan too. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. My Time With Jesus Tuesday

One Step At A Time

Matthew 6:34, Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

New Christians have many tests of Faith, because satan is at work trying to get them back. They see other Christians and they are encouraged or discouraged.

I have been where you are. It is a constant battle. You will get battered and harassed. I found out that satan causes these things. If you aren’t tested, I suggest you examine yourself and pray to determine if you really are saved.

A war is won by fighting many battles. You can’t win if you surrender to the enemy.  Armies have reserves to call on in an emergency, we have the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:9-10, If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 12:2, And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Take some private time with God almighty. (That’s right you can talk to Him directly). Call on the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit for help. Sit back and wait for the Lord, He will answer.

The highest mountain in the world can be conquered one foot at a time. If you believe and take each step, even small steps, you will succeed.

Faith works the same way. Do what you have faith for, and with each success, stretch your faith, and don’t judge by what other people can do. God made everything and controls everything. He is waiting for believers to act like believers.

Isaiah 41:10, Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God Bless You and Your Family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

God's Promises Sunday

Almighty God Is Our Father

Psalm 103:13, As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him.

For this message to be understood more fully we must look at some background in the way we look at Father God.

My Earthly father was by most standards a pretty good father. He was a good provider for his family, but it pretty well stopped there. My brother and I had no reason to doubt his love as he was like the fathers of our friends.

The biggest negative was that he never did much with us. Hugs and signs of affection were for “sissies”. We later figured out that he was following what he knew and how his father was.

Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father on Earth for you have one Father who is in Heaven.

John 14:23, Jesus answered him if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my Father will love him and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

When I became a Christian I had no problem with the Lord Jesus Christ, but I did have a problem relating to the Father. Subconsciously I was comparing Father God to my earthly father.

My earthly father was not always fair or just. He forgot promises. I finally realized in my later years that he was just human and doing his best. A common fault among earthly beings.

Proverbs 15:5, A fool despises his father’s instruction but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.

When I started to trust in Father God it was for small things. I cautiously started to expand my trust. I am now and always have been a skeptic like no other. That added to the problem.

One day when I was praying, I asked God to make Himself known to me so that even I could believe the way I wanted to. Oh boy did He ever.

Psalm 91:4, He will cover you with His pinions and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

I started visualizing His wings wrapped around me the way a bird protects its young. As a matter of fact, I took Psalm 91 as my personal protection plan from God.

I didn’t really believe that you can’t outgive God until I tried it. Boy was I wrong. I was wrong about everything. I’m telling you, today I believe every single word the Bible says. More later

Luke 1:37, For nothing will be impossible with God.

Philippians 4:20, To our God and Father be glory forever and ever Amen.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash it away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Importance Of Forgiving

Luke 23:34, And Jesus said, Father forgive them for they know not what they do. And they cast lots to divide His garments.

When the Lord Jesus Christ preached about forgiving, He wasn’t just talking, He proved it on the cross. He did something no one else could do. Steven the first teacher to be martyred repeated the Lord Jesus words as he was being stoned to death.

And if the Lord Jesus could give us such an example, it should dawn on us that it must be important for our well-being. New Testament writers all tell us about forgiving. Let us look at a few.

Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Luke 17:3-4, Pay attention to yourselves. If your brother sins rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day and turns to you seven times saying I repent, you must forgive him.

It is an inescapable fact that all of us are sinners. We sin against God and other people. Many of our sins require forgiveness from someone else. If we hurt someone in some way, we need to reconcile ourselves with them. Go to them with a repentant heart.

If we don’t ask for forgiveness, we will probably never forget what we did, and will never have peace.

1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Then of course there are the occasions when we are hurt in some way.

Ephesians 4:32, Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you.

Matthew 6:15, But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The first thing we must do is forgive the one who has hurt us because the Lord Our God expects it from us. Don’t wait around for an apology. If the person does ask for forgiveness do it. and if he doesn’t do it anyway.

Colossians 3:13, Bearing with one another. And if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

God bless you and your family.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Knowing The Real God

Hebrews 8:12, For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.

Many people think of God the Father as mean, anxious to punish, and unjust. as well as many other descriptions that are totally wrong. Most of the people who feel this way don’t read or understand the Bible. They get their information from other people who didn’t understand either.

Today we’ll look at a few facts about our Father God. To really explain everything about our Lord it would require the whole Bible plus several commentaries as well as some knowledgeable teachers. But in the brief space we have we will do our best.

1 Peter 2:10, Once you were not a people but now you are God’s people, once you had not received mercy but now you have received mercy.

A quality of God that is hardly mentioned is His unlimited forgiveness and mercy toward every one of us. I don’t know about you, but I would not subject my son to what the Lord Jesus Christ went through for people who hated Him. He did it because God has mercy on us, and  the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ washed away our sins. I’d say that was a pretty high price, not exactly the kind of thing an evil person or mean person would do.

Psalm 145:18-19, The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him and hears their cry and saves them.

You may not realize it but God is near to us even when we are not near to him. God has patience toward us that we cannot begin to imagine. He doesn’t condemn us. We condemn ourselves when we don’t take the time and effort to learn and understand who almighty God is.

Don’t cherry pick the Bible and look for errors and believe what you like and reject what you don’t. One day God’s patience will run out. He will finally say enough is enough. It is time to figure out where you want to be standing, with Him or against Him?

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins. I acknowledge my sins and Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

God's Promises Sunday

Matthew 6:24, No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

All things come from God, but everyone decides what to do with the gifts they receive from God. It is a sad fact that a very high percentage of well-educated, successful people, reject God, and delude themselves about how great they are and not how great God is.

This is the way of the world. Pride and arrogance are an abomination to God. When we focus on the ways of the world, we are in fact rejecting God. Some people worship money, power, status, position, and all kinds of other things. After all of this is gone, almighty God will still be God.

Luke 18:24-25, Jesus seeing that he had become sad said, how difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.

The camel and the eye of needle is an analogy to help us understand the impossibility without God.

1 Timothy 6:10, For the Love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. It is through the craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

So now you have a snapshot about how something may be desired but can lead to destruction.

Poor people will always be with us. Almighty God loves poor people and a great percentage realize God is the only answer to their problems.

Almighty God instructs us to be a part of the answer for them. They get helped and we get blessed. That seems like a good deal all around

Luke 6:20-21, And he lifted his eyes on His disciples and said, Blessed are you who are poor for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now for you shall be satisfied, Blessed are you who weep now for you shall laugh.

An important factor for you to remember that we must always realize. By the grace of God most of us can help others in some way. Look at it this way. By following what God wants us to do we are God’s answer to their prayers. God bless you and your family, Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

The First Thing

1 Peter 5:8, Be sober-minded Be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour.

James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

If you examine these verses, you will come to realize that satan is real. He is the number one deceiver and will try to find a wavering, fearful victim. You’ll also see that our God is much more powerful than satan. Our Lord has given us a way to avoid satan’s attempts to deceive us.

We must first realize that satan will never leave you alone. His attacks seem to be in proportion to the strength of your faith. If you are attacked constantly, it is because your faith is strong. People who are almost never attacked by satan are usually his already and that’s why he leaves them alone.

2 Corinthians 4: 3-4, And even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the God of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God.

Here’s a little suggestion that seemed to work well. Start your day by committing yourself and the day to the Lord Jesus Christ. Before you make any decision take it to the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving. I am not referring to what you have for breakfast or to what you should wear. Listen to your heart for His instructions and wait for His time.

If you try to do everything on your own, you won’t hear His voice because you are doing His job, and you will fail. Don’t blame God.

Romans 16: 20, the God of Peace will soon crush satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

If you put time and effort into knowing God you will be rewarded with a  close relationship to Him. He’s always with us and will never forsake us. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you.

 Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Your Constant Companion

John 14:26-27, But the helper the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace, I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give you. Let not your hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid.

Did you know you have a constant companion wherever you are? This companion is faithful, all-powerful, and speaks only the truth. In order to appreciate this companion, all you have to do is trust.

We as Believers have a Triune God or as most people think a Blessed Trinity. This Trinity consists of one God in three Divine persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Son is the Lord Jesus Christ. When we pray and call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ the Father hears our prayers and answers.

The Holy Spirit is the power that fulfills the answer. You may remember that when Jesus Christ was baptized the Holy Spirit came as a dove and landed on Jesus.

There is a fact that we should always remember. When Jesus performed a miracle, He asked His Father first and the Holy Spirit acted.

Romans 8:26, Likewise the spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Jesus told us that we would do what He did and more. Since the Lord Jesus Christ is with His Father, we are His hands, feet, and voice on this Earth.

All we must do is trust the one who cannot lie and act in His name. Remember He authorized us to do just that. That’s the main reason why we were given the Holy Spirit when Jesus ascended back to heaven.

If we did not have the Holy Spirit with us constantly, we could not survive. We would be making so many mistakes and getting into so much trouble it would make our heads spin. So, Praise the Lord for the Holy Spirit in your life. One other thing, if the Holy Spirit wasn’t on this Earth at this time the whole world would be so evil that it would absolutely destroy itself and everyone in it in a heartbeat.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you whom you have from God? You are not your own for you were bought with a price. So, glorify God in your body.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

Missing Out

Ephesians 2:8-9, For by Grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing it is the gift of God. Not a result of works so that no one may boast.

Have you ever had the experience of missing out on something? Like when someone says to you, you should have been here yesterday. If you had that happen to you, depending on what you missed determined the size of the knot in the pit of your stomach.

Have you ever heard someone say to you that such and such a place was giving away a special gift to the first 50 customers, and you gave it a pass because you thought it was too good to be true?

Titus 3:5, He saved us not because of works done by us and righteousness but according to His own mercy by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

In life we will run into many things we will miss out on. Most of the time we realize it was only stuff we missed. Knowing that however, didn’t keep us from feeling a loss. All of us know this to be true, that it was only future garbage we missed out on. Let’s look at the real loss of the greatest gift that ever was.

Undoubtedly you heard about the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ. He died and rose from the dead to save us. His act of love was so that each of us could be saved simply by believing the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, repenting of our sins and acknowledging Him as our savior.

Now we look at some of the excuses to not accept the Lord Jesus Christ. No one would or could do what He did, especially the part about rising from the dead.

People think the Bible is a book of fairy tales written by men. Even if all of it is true, I am beyond redemption because of my many horrible sins.

Let’s get this straight. God is God. We cannot compare what He can do to what we can do. God can do all things, and He created all things.

The greatest gift you can give yourself is eternity in Heaven. Let your human mind go and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible. Be thankful God doesn’t think or act like we do. Don’t let the best thing that ever happened to mankind slip past you because you thought it was too good to be true.

Romans 1:16-17, For I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes to the Jew first and to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith as it is written the righteous shall live by faith.

You can accept this gift all the way to the time just before your last breath. If you miss out on this gift you will have all eternity to miss it and to hate yourself when it was so easy to accept.

God bless you and your family.
