Holy Spirit Power

It Is Written, Romans 8:26, likewise the spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Christians are aware of the existence of the Holy Spirit, but a large number of them do not know who He is, or what He does.
When we are saved, we automatically received what are called the fruits of the Spirit, as found in Galatians 5:22-23. These are characteristics of people who now belong to God. They are an outward sign of our salvation.
Being baptized in the Holy Spirit however, is by choice. When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, we received the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as stated in 1 Corinthians 5:4-12. This is where the power is, through the Holy Spirit.
Today we will cover a small part of what this means. When you start the day,  invite the Holy Spirit into your life, and turn everything in your life over to Him. All of what you do, let Him lead.
During the day, listen to that small voice in your heart. If it agrees with God's Word,  do it. He will guide you in making wise decisions. If you do it your way and fail, He will guide you back. He will help with everything, if you ask and trust.
I have found over time, that whenever I asked the Holy Spirit for anything, I always got the best answer. He never, ever, let me down. What a faith booster to have in your life. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Lapses In Faith

It Is Written, Romans 15:13, now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
As all of us know by now, the Bible has countless verses about faith, and how we should react to everything. I believe all of these verses are true, because they are the Word of God. Because the Word warns us about satan and his hatred of God, and God's followers, we must also believe that.
The average Christian realizes these truths, but gets discouraged because he or she can't  live up to everything  God wants from us. NEWS. Even super Christians go through tough times, of doubt, and self-condemnation.
God wants us to love and trust Him, and to live according to His Word. He loves us unconditionally, and knows all of us are flawed.
God is someone who wants us to do our best. He knows our best will never meet His standards, but he is okay with our failing.  God doesn't condemn us, and doesn't want us to condemn ourselves.
So the bottom line is this. When we fail, we dust ourselves off, repent, and love our Father, who will never let us go if we love Him, and trust in Him. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Most Dangerous Myth

It Is Written, acts 4:12, nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Let us start with this one. There are many ways to get to Heaven. You have probably heard that many times from many places. Even a former president of the United States, proclaimed that to the nation.
If you were to study all of the main religions, with an open mind, and common sense, you would arrive at a logical conclusion. Jesus Christ is the only way you can be sure.
The Bible prophesies  about Jesus and other events, hundreds and even thousands of years ahead of time, has been fulfilled exactly as written, every time.
Ancient historians Josephus and Tacitus mentioned Jesus and other events such as the destruction of Jerusalem and the scattering of the people, just as the Bible said. It seems logical that if the Bible has never been proven wrong about anything, it's message from Jesus must also be true.
It all comes down to this. Do you want to believe what man says, or what the Bible says? It is your choice. Choose well. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

satan Fills the Void

It Is Written, Matthew 12:43-45, when an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest and finds none. Then he says I will return to my house from which I came. And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and  takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.
When a person receives salvation, they become a new person. Suddenly everything becomes new and exciting. Time for increased awareness of our adversary.
When the newness of salvation starts to turn to complacency, great danger lies ahead. If a person starts to be deceived, because they follow the world, and not the Word, they are in a transition from God to satan.
satan is out to get as many as possible. The world and most of what is in it, is his tool. If we don't cling to the Word of God, and live according to his plan, we fall into satan's trap, and we are opening the door for him.
Good news. If we wake up to our sins, and repent, Jesus will take us back, and we will be clean again. If you knock, Jesus will answer. If you don't, you are on your own. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Psalm 23 pt 2

Have you ever read Psalm 23, and noticed the similarities between people and sheep? Think that's silly? Let's look at it a little closer.
Sheep have a shepherd to protect them, feed them, give them water, and provide a sense of security. By his very presence, and his voice they feel comfort and peace.
The Lord is our Shepherd. When He speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, we feel comfort and peace.
The Lord is our provider. He takes care of all our needs. He knows what we need before we do. All good things come from Him.
There is a huge difference between shepherds of sheep, and our Shepherd. Shepherds of sheep have limits to what they will do to protect the sheep in their care, because it's just a job.
Our Shepherd, gave His life for us, because He loves us that much. If sheep put their trust in a weak, unloving Shepherd, how much more should we love and trust, the one who created us? Rest in peace my friends, because our Shepherd, is the Lord our God, who loves us. God bless you. Praise the Lord!

Spending

It Is Written, Proverbs 3:9, honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your inquiries.
When we think of the word spending, we usually think of money. Most of us work hard to earn money, so it makes sense to pay attention to how we spend it. If you are a believer, you know that giving back to God first, is like making a very profitable investment, if it is done for the right reason. It is biblical.
What about nonbelievers? Even if you haven't come to Jesus yet,  it only makes sense to pay attention to how and why you spend. It doesn't take a genius to recognize that something should have a value of some kind in order to determine its worth.
Another form of spending, is how we spend our time. Since no one knows how much time we have, it makes sense to use our time productively. Once time is gone, it is gone, no going back. To avoid regrets in the future, use time wisely today.
One more thing. Our money and our time comes from God. The fact is, if we don't put God first with our money and our time, we cheat ourselves. Invite Jesus into your life, follow His Word, starting with putting Him first, and your life will prosper, in Heaven and on earth. God bless you and your Family.
Praise The Lord!
