Pushing Back

It Is Written, Daniel 11:32, those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
If you look at the history of Christianity, you find that persecution of Christians is common. People are no different now than they were way back, as far as you want to go.
As it says in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, for the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves, teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth, and wander off into myths.
Each generation thinks that the time they are living in, is the worst ever. The truth is, man has always caused problems for himself and others. When the worst time is, or was, is a matter of individual opinions.
We can push back against injustice and all forms of evil, by putting it all in the hands of God. Sincere repentance puts us in touch with God. Prayer is the most powerful force there is, because it calls on the only one who can deal with it all.
With all of God's people praying with sincere hearts, nothing, including satan, can stop what God can and will do. All we need to do is pray, and get out of the way, and let God handle it. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

In Perspective

It Is Written, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Every situation that happens in life, is viewed through each person's perspective. As the old saying goes, nothing is either good or bad, the mind makes it so.
There are two ways to look at any situation or thing. There is the worldly human way, and the way we see it through faith in God. Before you jump to conclusions about this statement, do yourself a favor and keep reading.
Even though God is in charge of everything, He allows us to use our free will for good, or bad. Since so many people do not follow God, satan is free to pursue evil with relative ease. His many deceptions, cause harm and grief, because they appear to satisfy people's needs. They are hollow promises that lead to depression and despair, because they are all lies.
When we trust in, and follow God's plan, we are able to discern if something is good or bad. Even if we stray from the faith once in a while, trusting God to help us, always works for our good.
God's correction appears as punishment to some, and to others it is a sign of His love. Correction gets you to victory, while a punishment attitude, leads to destruction.
If you see everything as God sees it you will live in peace and joy. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Realize The Work Of The Holy Spirit

It Is Written, John 14:26, but the "Helper", the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Over the years that I have been writing and talking to people, I have reached  the surprising conclusion, that many people are not very interested in, or know about, the role of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
A number of years ago, I read, Romans 8:26, Galatians 5:22-23, Ephesians 1:13, and I believed what I read, because God's Word said so. As I read, I wanted to really take advantage of what I learned, but how?
One day I was working on a project, and I had a problem that didn't seem to have an answer. All of a sudden, I felt a presence in my heart that told me to ask the Holy Spirit. Being somewhat desperate, I decided to ask.
Believe it or not, almost instantly I had the answer, and the problem was solved. After that, it started to become a routine. Only this time I asked the Holy Spirit for help before I started doing something.
Well my friends, the Holy Spirit has become my constant companion. Anything I ask Him, I know with complete faith, that I will receive it. With the Holy Spirit I have mountain moving faith.
I truly appreciate each member of the Trinity, and because of that, I have total inner peace, no matter how something looks.
If you don't put some time and effort into knowing the Holy Spirit, you will be missing more than you know. The Holy Spirit is like a glass of cold water, when you are dying of thirst in the desert. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Take A Breath

It Is Written, Philippians 4:6-7, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
As we go through life, it quickly becomes apparent that things aren't always the way we would like. As a matter of fact, they seldom are, so what do you do? Let me give you a current example.
We have just had a presidential election. The whole process showed how low people can go. It exposes all too clearly, how divided our country is. In the days since the election, it is as if most people have lost their minds.
All of the chaos and bitterness has reached the level, that only intervention by God Himself, can stop the evil and violence that is going on.
If you are upset with what is going on, let me remind you, that we get worked up about things we cannot do anything about. There are problems that come up every day, besides the one mentioned.
As most of us forget, worry or anger does not change anything. 1 Peter 5:7 says," cast all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you". If we stop, take a breath, and think, we will realize that this verse if applied by a believer, brings peace to the soul. God is in charge, and will take care of all things, according to His plan. He takes care of His children at all times. So all we need to do is trust and relax, the Lord has it covered. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Accuracy Of The Prophets

It Is Written, 2 Peter 1:21, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but the holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
It Is Written, Amos 3:7, surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
Many people think that the Bible is irrelevant, just a collection of stories. That is absolutely not true. The Bible was, and is way ahead of its time.
One of my favorite prophets, has always been Isaiah. I have read that book a dozen times, at least. Right now I am reading and meditating on it again, because there are so many prophecies in it that you see in other parts of the Bible.
As I read it this time, it seems that my eyes have been opened even wider. In all of his preaching to Israel, he was absolutely correct about everything he said. When you look closely at the prophecies, you can see today's times in them.
As I was reading, I saw that he could have been talking about present-day America. In so many verses you could change a name, identify a practice, or the values of people. If you go by the fact that prophecies have been so accurate, you can look at the rest of the prophecies in the Bible and see what will happen in the future.
The countless verses of prophecy are condemning Israel at times, and looking to the future of Israel, and really the rest of the world. When you look at what he was telling them, he might as well be living today and telling the people of the United States. Nothing has really changed. Unfortunately instead of using God's Word as a way of making good decisions, we keep repeating the same mistakes, and anger God.
Look at the headlines and stories in the paper, or listen to them on the news, and a reasonably intelligent person would see actions by people, and countries, that are following the Bible exactly. The big problem for them is they do not know or believe what the Word of God is telling them, so they are on a path to destruction and don't even know it.
If you doubt what I say, just read the book of Isaiah and see what conclusions you make. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Grieving God

It Is Written, Ephesians 4:30-31, and do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
According to Strong's dictionary of Bible words, grieve means, to torment, to worry, to be sad, and to distress. I doubt that there are very many Christians who would grieve God on purpose, but we all grieve Him without realizing it. The main way we grieve God is through sin, and not trusting in Him.
The first thing we must understand, in order to have fewer incidents of grieving God, is who God is, and what He says. When God says no, it is no, but when we say no, it usually means what we want it to.
When God says we are His children, He means just that. God loves us and has a plan for us that is perfect. He wants us to trust Him, to take care of us in all things. When we try to do things on our own, He is disappointed, because it shows lack of trust. He sees what will happen, and it makes Him sad.
When we focus our thoughts on some problem or other, that takes our focus off of Him, thereby replacing Him with the problem. We have a free will, given to us by God, and He honors that.
If we want to please God, and get maximum benefits for us, we need to give all of our problems to Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says, casting all your cares on Him, because He cares for you. Get to really know God through His Word, and you will see how much He loves you.
When we know how much God really loves us, it is a lot easier to avoid sin and keep from grieveing Him. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
