The Presence Of God

Psalm 19:1, The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of His hands.

When we look around us, it is not hard to realize that the world is filled with the presence of almighty God. If God is everywhere, how can there be such chaos?

Psalm 145: 18, The Lord is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to him with integrity.

A True Believer focuses on God and His love and power in our lives. All through the Bible we witness chaos, and people who walked with God. You will also notice that none of the people chosen by God to lead His people was perfect. Everyone, including the apostles were flawed in some way.

It should be a comfort to realize that no matter how flawed we are, we can serve God, and walk in His presence. Remember, this world is temporary, but spiritual life is eternal.

Jeremiah 29:13, You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Revelation 3:20, see I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My Voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with Me...

I can assure you from personal experiences, that trusting in God, and following Him, circumstances will work for your benefit. So how do you get to that point? Believe the verses in this message to start with.

No sincere prayer goes unanswered, never. Prayers are answered for our benefit, usually better than we ask in the first place. The hard part for most people is it all depends on God's timing.

I have an example of what I am saying that just happened. My doctor sent me paperwork to get a CAT scan. On Friday my wife called for an appointment, as she had done a number of times. The hospital said the order was wrong. After several calls between my wife, the hospital, and the doctor's office, nothing was resolved.

On Monday the doctor's nurse called to tell me that she had made an appointment for the scan, on a day, and at a time, I would not have picked, but I thanked her anyway.

First thing I thought was that God picked the time, and the people I would encounter. I went on the day and time specified. All I can honestly say is, if someone offered me a million dollars to make that visit better, I could not. Praise the Lord!

This experience that I just related to you is not unusual. I am sure that if you look at instances in the recent past in your own life, you can find similar things. Even if you don't know the Lord right now, He is still working in your life trying to get you to notice Him. Don't forget you must invite Him into your life, because He will not impose Himself on anyone.

Proverbs 3:5 - 6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

My Time with Jesus Tuesday

A Guarantee

Romans 15:13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe.

If you ask the average person about what helps them determine which product to buy, you will probably hear a few different reasons. Most people are concerned about guarantees, warranties, and the reputation of the manufacturer and or the seller.

Most people will shy away from a product they do not know. When you spend your money on an unknown, you risk losing more than you can afford. That is a wise way to look at it.

You have probably heard someone say that you should trust in the Lord. Put all your cares on Him. Follow God's plan for you.

1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your cares on Him, because He cares about you.

All of these words sound good, but are they? The answer is simple. If you know who God is, and what He did, it isn't that difficult. Let me explain.

If you know Jesus, you know the Father. You get to know Jesus from the Word of God, the Bible. I must stress knowing who He is, is critical. Just knowing that He exists, does not cut it.

John 10:30, I and the Father are one.  God has a perfect plan for each of us. The Father gave His Son Jesus to forgive our sins by shedding His blood on the cross. When we accept Jesus as our Savior by confessing our sins and asking Him to come into our hearts, we receive the Holy Spirit.

So, let's recap. God created us, and He has the perfect plan for each of us. Jesus came and died in order for us to be forgiven of all of our sins. The Holy Spirit came to us as a helper sent by God. He is to help us, teach us, and guide us in the will of God, for our good. It is all written in the Bible, A guarantee from God.

1 Corinthians 6 19, don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

This is how it works and will work for you. First of all, know in your heart that whatever you see or hear in life is allowed by God, because it is all a part of His master plan. Do not doubt it for a second. It does take prayer and effort, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to achieve that level in your faith life.

Always put everything in the hands of the Holy Spirit every morning. I ask Him to teach, help, and guide me in God's plan for me.

I have learned over the years that the Holy Spirit does help, guide, and teach. Sometimes my plans change as the day goes on, but they're always for the best.

I've also learned that if I am following the Holy Spirit everything goes well. If things seem to be going wrong, I stop and wait. God's timing is crucial. If something doesn't go the way I want, waiting on God proves to benefit me, because I avoid many big mistakes. I learned that the hard way.

Life is like a budget my friends. You have an unknown number of days, so you must spend them wisely, and reap the blessings and grace of God.

Psalm 27: 14. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the Lord.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord.

A Possible Bright Spot

2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people were called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

After living on this earth many, many years, I sometimes remember when I was much younger. Many people call it the good old days. I will try to make an honest comparison with today, just the facts, and nothing but the facts.

When I was in high school, the number one crime committed by a student was smoking tobacco.  If a person was real delinquent, he drank beer behind the school, or in a secluded spot outside of school.

If a girl or woman got pregnant and was not married, it was a disgrace that stuck with her for life.  If she was foolish enough to get an abortion, she literally took her life in her own hands. Abortion was illegal and performed by people who were more like butchers.

Homosexuality was not only illegal, but it was also a disgrace. Transgender people were pretty much unknown, and there was no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage was between a man and a woman. No one questioned their gender.

The media and regular people couldn't help but lie, so we were taught that you can't believe what you hear or read.  Today it is mostly hated, and fear that you see and hear. The goal seems to be to destroy other people in every way, and if possible, destroy the country. I guess you can see what I am getting at. The country and the world keep looking for and finding ways to reject Jesus and slap Him in the face.

Now for the possible bright spot. If enough good people get sick and tired of all this evil, they will start and stay with our opening verse until it happens. One last thing whether people believe in God, Heaven, or hell, it is what God thinks that counts. We are warned in the Bible, he who has ears let him hear, he who has eyes, let him see. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for better!

2 Timothy 3:1-5, For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away.

Jesus Birthday

Matthew 1:18-2: 12, The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way. After His mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, it was discovered before they came together that she was pregnant from the Holy Spirit. So, her husband Joseph, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered these things an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying, Joseph's son of David doesn't be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.

Know all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophets. See the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son and they will call His name Immanuel which is translated God is with us. When Joseph woke up, he did as The Lord's Angel has commanded him. He married her but did not have sexual relations with her until after she gave birth to a son. And he named Him Jesus.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, wise men from the East arrived in Jerusalem saying where is he who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw his star at its rising and have come to worship Him. When King Herod heard this, he was deeply disturbed and all Jerusalem with him. So, he assembled all the chief priests and scribes as a people and asked them where the Christ would be born... In Bethlehem of Judea, they told him because this is what was written by the prophet. And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah because out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd My people Israel

Then Herod secretly summons the wise men and asks them the exact time the star appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said go and search carefully for the child. When you find him, report back to me so that I too can go and worship him. After hearing the king, they went on their way. And there it was-the star they had seen at its rising. It' led them until it came and stopped above the place where the child was. When they saw this star, they were overwhelmed with joy. Entering the house they saw the child with Mary His Mother, and falling to their knees, they worshipped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to go back to Herod they returned to their own country by another route.

Christmas is the birthday of Jesus. It is sad to say that Jesus' birthday was pretty much ignored by most people ever since we began celebrating what came to be known as Christmas.

At some point, I don't know when, someone took the part of the Nativity Story that mentioned the wise men bringing gifts to Jesus and thought it would be nice to give a gift to a loved one.

Well then, the idea really took off, and Christmas turned into a frenzy of gift-giving. Many businesses made most of their profits at Christmas. Almost everyone was happy. Christmas carols were heard in every store. All was right with the world.

Think about this. God our Father, the creator of the universe and everything in it, realized that His creation, man, was in danger of an eternity without Him. There was no way meant for a man to earn forgiveness for his sins.

God decided that the only way a man could be saved was through His only son Jesus. So, Jesus agreed to come here, in what amounted to a rescue mission. The whole purpose was to teach men about God and give man a chance for salvation.

When Jesus began His public life, He was persecuted and hated by many. He tried to teach love, kindness, and doing for others. He was a sinless example. The unbelievable facts about it all is, Jesus knew how people would treat Him, and about the savage way He would die. He loved us anyway.

By Jesus' death and resurrection, He gave man the gift of forgiveness, and the chance to choose eternal life with Him. In spite of all of that, He is hated more now than He was then. It seems that the goal of society today is to not only hate Him but do all kinds of evil against Him. The cancel culture canceled the ultimate, they canceled Jesus.

We as Christians today, must do everything we can, to put Hm as number one in our lives, and to tell others about Him. Prayer is a powerful weapon against evil. Read His word and live it. Jesus defeated satan at the cross and with His resurrection. What that means is, we do not have to follow satan.

Let us all take Jesus' birthday and start living according to His plan for our lives. Make the sacrifice that God made by giving us His Son, and Jesus' rescue mission, mean something. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Access To The Power

Romans 8:26-28 tells us, likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

As most Christians know, we can do nothing on our own. God did however provide a way for all of us to get what we need, or desire. That way is Jesus Christ. When we confess our sins, and accept Jesus as our Savior, the way is open

As you probably realize by now, there is a little more to getting prayers answered then wishing. Picture an electric panel with many circuit breakers. One for each room.  Now imagine satan with a big bag full of circuit breakers. He knows that God is the source of power, and that power runs through you, to the expected outcome. He tries to insert a breaker in that powerline to stop the power. You can stop him cold if you know how. John 15:7 says, if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. When you realize the truth of this last statement, you can tell satan to leave in Jesus name, and the power of the Holy Spirit will make him flee.

As the Bible says, the closer you are to Jesus, the closer He will get to you. And with that relationship the power becomes more secure. If you really know who Jesus is and what He did, you will know that in Jesus name, the Holy Spirit acts to fulfill Jesus promises to you. For instance, if you pray for a healing for someone in Jesus name, and believe the outcome, the Holy Spirit makes it happen. There is no doubt about that. God bless you and your family.

The Power of Commitment

It is written, Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

A number of people I know, thank God every morning when they wake up. They thank Him for another day and whatever it brings. A few ask God to help them during the day. All of this is good and should be done every day.

A couple of thoughts occurred to me about each day we live. Most of us ask God for help of some sort, every time we pray. The Bible tells us that God wants to help us and is always there for us.

Consider one or both of the following suggestions. Tell God thank you for the day and ask Him how you can serve Him that day. After all, we're supposed to love and serve Him with all of our hearts.

The other suggestion is, tell the Lord that you commit the day to Him, for the purpose of following His plan for your life. Thank Him for everything that will occur during that day because you trust Him. At that point, throw yourself into fulfilling that commitment.

Whatever you decide to do, it is a step in the right direction. Do it with all your heart, and God will make everything known to you, and help you in all things. We should all show gratitude to God for all the blessings He continues to give us, and one of the best ways to do that is to make a commitment to serve Him each and every day and give it everything you have in you. The Holy Spirit will help you fulfill whatever commitment you make, so treat it seriously. God bless you and your family.

Sharing The Word

2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

When the average person finds Jesus, and is saved, he or she usually wants to serve God in some special way. Believe it or not, becoming overanxious about doing God's will, is a waste of time, and not what God wants for you. You should pray about what His plan is for you, rather than compare yourself to someone you think is really serving God. Such an example would be a preacher and a large church. The person you are trying to emulate is doing God's plan for him or her. You have your own plan from God.

God has a job for each of His children. Most of the jobs are not high profile, but ordinary tasks for ordinary people. That does not mean that they are not just as important in God's eyes; He sees the heart.

When Jesus was talking to His disciples just before He ascended to Heaven, He told them to take the word to all people among other things. He was talking to ordinary people. If you read Galatians 5:22-24, you have instructions from the Lord himself on how to be an example to everyone you meet. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit when you are saved. In this way, you are planting seeds of salvation that the Holy Spirit will make grow.

By following what it says in Galatians chapter 5, you are also fulfilling what it says in James 1:22-23, but be doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; he observes himself, goes away and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

To make a long story short, as the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words. When you follow your faith with actions, you are doing more to preach the Word of God than you think. If you keep praying, God will let you know if He wants you to do more, or something else. God bless you and your family.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

You Are Precious

Romans 5:8, but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

As I was having my private time with the Lord this morning, I told Him that I was disappointed that I was doing so little for Him. I told Him that I often feel like a fake Christian.

At that point I sat back quietly and waited for His voice. As I sat waiting, my mind was thinking about today's verse. At that point my whole life, going all the way back to when I was a child came to my mind. I recalled all of the times in my life that I did not do as I should have. I saw all of the opportunities that I missed. Those opportunities I now realize where to find the Lord.

I still recall that a large part of my life included many hardships over a number of years. I somehow managed to get through them all. I didn't blame God, because God was not a part of my life.  For some reason though, I did see how God was always there for me, even though I did not acknowledge Him.

Today I am many, many years older. I have found the Lord, and I want only to serve. I want everyone to know Him, so I ask Him every day how I can serve. The part that is hard to remember or realize, is the fact that God has a plan for each of us. When we wait for God's timing, we will serve Him. We must also consider this fact. If we treat others as Jesus did, and reflect His life to others, we just might be living the plan that God had for us to begin with. Talk to God every day. Live according to His Word, and His plan for you will come to pass. You need not feel like a fake Christian if you follow the word.

John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Keep that truth in your mind at all times. God knows who you are, and what is in your heart. Just trust Him, and don't worry, the Holy Spirit will show you the path and open your eyes and heart. God bless you and your family.

Irrational Fear

Isaiah 41:10, fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 56:3, whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.

2 Timothy 1:7, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and obey sound mind.

If you asked me for the definition of fear, I would tell you it is one of satan's favorite tools. Fear has a tendency to bring out the worst in most people. You only have to look around at what is going on with the current pandemic. People realize they have no control, so they panic, and they start hoarding everything that they think they will need, with no regard for the needs of other people.

When people start seeing store shelves getting empty, they start hoarding too. There have even been fights over a package of toilet paper. As time goes on, it looks as if people are losing their minds. satan throws more gasoline on the fire, to incite people to hate and violence.

Let's look at what should be reality. Except for yet another sickness, everything is normal. No one is using more toilet paper. Companies are not making less. It is a shortage created by fear. If people would operate with common sense, the pandemic does not spread and dies out.

People who trust in God, realize that He is in control, and they do not have to worry. They realize that the media is being controlled by satan, and they are the biggest part of the problem as far as spreading fear and hate. If you trust in God, you can have peace in your heart through Jesus and what He did for us on the cross. Salvation was made possible for us by what He did. Every word in the Bible is true, and there are countless verses that tell us how much God loves us and will take care of us.

I have a suggestion for getting through this trial... Just trust in the Lord, pray for this pestilence to go away, and that people get some type of rational behavior. Pray for those who spread hate and fear. Prayer my friends is the most powerful weapon in the world and is a direct line to the ruler of the universe, Almighty God himself. God bless you and your family.

Self-Acceptance

Genesis 1:27, so God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them

1 Samuel 16:7, but the Lord said to Samuel, do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Today the message is about something that many of us have wrestled with. The problem is self-acceptance. Many people are unhappy about how they look. They spend plenty of time and money to alter their appearance. Most of the time, they are still unhappy.

We go through a never-ending cycle of torture, usually trying to be like someone else. We compare looks, talent, education, jobs, income, and the list goes on. Everyone trying to be like everyone else in some way. There is no way anyone gets real happiness with themselves, doing it that way.

God created us to be who we are. Our looks, talent, and so on. He did it because He had a special plan for each of us. We don't have to know why we are who we are, we just have to trust. When we are unhappy with our lot in life, it is as though we are telling God that He messed up when He created us. Remember this. God searches the heart. That is what we must pay attention to. Praise Him for who and what you are, and He will take care of you. I guarantee if you praise God for who you are and thank Him, your life will be worthwhile. God bless you and your family.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

God Is Here

Psalm 145:18-21 tells us, the Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desires of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him but all the wicked He will destroy.

Have you ever felt alone, and that God was a great distance away? Let us look at this. The Bible, which is the Word of God, says God is always with us. Jesus is called Emmanuel, which is translated God with us.

So if the Bible says God is always with us, and the Bible says God cannot lie, it stands to reason that God is always here. So where's the problem? If God is not with us, how can this be true. We must look elsewhere for the answer. Let's start with ourselves. Take a good honest look at yourself.

How much time do you spend seeking the Lord? How often do you think about Him? Do you thank Him for being alive, and all of the blessings in your life? The answer always comes up the same God did not abandon us, we abandoned Him.

It is not uncommon to feel that God has abandoned you. I have been there. But as I said, the solution is simple. You will find out that when you feel abandoned if you turn to the Bible and start to read the Word of God, the feeling of abandonment will go away. When the Bible says, seek and you shall find, knock and the door it will be opened, it is definitely true. Try it and you'll see what I mean. God bless you and your family.

Power in Action

Matthew 17:20 tells us, so Jesus said to them, assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain. Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Everyone faces situations on a daily basis that have the potential of becoming unpleasant. Each incident can grow and become as an unconquerable mountain. Do you realize how big that mountain gets is determined by you?

Jesus spoke the words of the above verse as an example of the power of faith. While Jesus himself could move a real mountain, He knew we could not. The mountains therefore represent how big we make a lot of the problems that come up in our lives.

When we accept salvation, we receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts. The Holy Spirit is the power to act part of the Trinity. He was the power behind Jesus's miracles.

As we get to know God the father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, our faith will grow. We get to know them through the Bible, and by talking to them every day. When you do that, your faith can grow to the point where this next verse is a way of life. John 14:12-14 most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my father. And whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. God bless you and your family.

Tomorrow

Matthew 6 : 33 - 34,  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. Therefore, don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

It is the nature of human beings to worry about real or imagined problems. Our minds are working all of the time, even when we sleep. Stress and constant anxiety are a way of life for most people. God did not plan it that way. We have a choice.

1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your cares on him, because He cares about you.

It was God's plan to take care of His creation. Unfortunately, man has used his free will to make life the opposite of what God planned.

Philippians 4: 19, And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6: 26-26, Therefore I tell you. Don't worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothing? Consider the birds of the sky; they don't sell or reap or gather into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.

The Bible tells us hundreds of times about how God takes care of His creation. A perfect example is found in the book of Exodus. The people were fed, one day at a time. The wedding at Cana, Jesus didn't provide hundreds of gallons of wine, the water became wine as it was poured.

When we hear about the loaves and fish. There was no mountain of food. As the baskets were being emptied, they were being filled. When Jesus worked His healing miracles, people like the crippled man were not healed, until they did what you just said. “Get up and walk”.

Luke 12:25, Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?

Anyone can have peace of mind, if they use their free will the way God intended. It starts with making a choice to serve God, by repenting and proclaiming Jesus as your savior. That is the key to where you spend your next life, that will have no end.

1 John 2:25; And this is the promise that He himself made to us, eternal life.

When you choose Jesus as your savior and follow him according to his perfect plan for you, you will have a life of unlimited love, Grace, and blessings from almighty God. Remember, life was meant to live, one day at a time. The Bible tells us so. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.
