My Time With Jesus Tuesday

The Past A Two-Edged Sword

Isaiah 43:18, Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.

Everyone has a past. The past is a comfort to some as they remember the good old days. To someone else it is a source of pain, a life lived under stress and depression. Then of course you have people that learned from it by changing the old Behavior.

2 Corinthians 5: 17, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

When you realize who Jesus is, what He did to save us, and receive salvation, we really are a new creation. We come to realize that God Almighty is in charge, and has given us a new start with the knowledge of Jesus and how satan operates.

We have free will to decide if we follow God’s will or satan’s will. If we choose God and follow Him through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we make good decisions.

Romans 8: 28, and we know that all things work together for good to those that love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 29: 11, for I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

So, you see, your past can work for you or against you. If you keep dwelling in the past and do not recognize your mistakes and correct them, you are destined to repeat those same mistakes in the future. If however you seek Jesus and salvation, He will guide your path and the way you should go, and you will have a life that you can conquer anything through Him. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

God's Promises Sunday

Promises Of Peace And Rest

John 14:27, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let It be afraid.

Matthew 11: 28-30, Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

It takes a while to realize that we are not in charge of anything. It is hard to accept losing what we look at as control. When we stubbornly hang on to our idea of control based on our will, sooner or later we pay the price. We usually call it bad luck.

In order to lead a good life in this world, there are several facts we must believe to begin with.

1. God exists, and He loves you.

2. The Bible is the inspired word of God.

3.The Bible is true and always right.

4. satan is real and wants to destroy you.

5.Jesus Christ made salvation available.

Reality is that the world is good and Evil. God controls the good,  and cannot lie.

satan controls the evil. God is love, peace, and a good life. satan on the other hand is hate, chaos, and a messed up life. satan cannot give you peace and rest. He can only deceive the unwary. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

1 Peter 5:7, casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross,  and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

How Does Works Work

James 2:14-20, What does it profit my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, depart in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

Thus, also Faith by itself if it does not have works is dead.  But someone will say, you have faith, and I have works show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble! But do you want to know oh foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Many religions tell you that you must do works to get to Heaven. They don’t tell you much about what forms those works take. That of course leaves many questions. What kind of works and how many? What kind of attitude do I have when I do works? Are some better than others? How will I know if I have done enough? It goes on and on, more questions, than answers.

Ephesians 2: 8- 10, For by Grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

The God of the Christians tells us that if we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was the son of God, and died on the cross, was buried, and rose on the third day, He did this to pay for our sins and provide salvation for any who repent of their sins, and accepted saving grace, he will be saved.

When you are saved, you become righteous in God the Father’s eyes because of what Jesus did. At the point of salvation we received the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-23 lists love, Joy, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness self-control, as traits He will help you exhibit as an example of a Christian. These are only a few of the examples, that reflect Jesus light to others.

You may object that these are works. Yes, they are, but there is a difference. These works are not a requirement for salvation, they are a result of it.

Matthew 5:16, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.

Each one of us has experienced wanting to do something in our lives, but never quite got around to doing it, like helping someone. The truth of the old saying the heart is willing but the flesh is weak comes to mind.

The works we do after salvation, with the Holy Spirit’s help, are something we desire and do. If you follow Jesus, and what I tell you is wrong, what do you lose. If on the other hand I’m right, you lose for all of eternity, and I don’t have to tell you eternity is a long time. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Is Condemnation Justified

Galatians 6:7, Do not be deceived. God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

The most asked question by unbelievers is, does God condemn Sinners? The answer is, He condemns the action, but still loves the sinner. God does not hate anyone, but He hates what they do.

Most sinners that have led what we might call an extremely sinful life, believe that God cannot or will not forgive them, or He is out to punish them. Again, this is untrue. Let’s look at the facts.

There is a thing called consequences. Consequences are the result of an action. They can be good or bad, depending on just what the action was.

Proverbs 22: 6, train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 29: 15, the rod and rebuke, give wisdom, but a Child Left to himself brings shame to his mother.

As you would probably expect, these verses would give you the impression that good consequences were ahead. But let us ask about consequences that are not so good.

When we repent with our hearts God forgives us and we become righteous in His eyes, but there are consequences. The sins are indeed forgiven, but the debt must be paid.

A few examples. You buy a car and don’t pay for it. They take it back, and you still have to pay quite a bit in most cases. Suppose you commit a felony. God forgives it if you repent, but the state does not. The consequences would probably result in years in prison.

The harsh truth is, we determine consequences by our actions. God does not determine anyone’s consequences on Earth, or in Eternity for that matter. You decide if you’re going to follow God’s way or satan’s way. Each person picks the level of pain and suffering and for how long, by the choices they make.

Always remember this. God loves you and allows you to choose. People say God is a hater, but the truth is as I said before God hates what some people do because He knows they will be separated from Him for eternity, If they don’t repent. It Grieves him because he will be separated from those he still loves. May God bless you and your family.

God Cares

Philippians 4: 19, and my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ.

Numbers 23: 19, God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. As He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

In the first verse God is quoted as promising to take care of our needs. The second verse tells us God does not lie or change His mind.

We must make the first verse crystal clear. We are promised that our needs will be supplied. Things like food, shelter, clothes, and such. Some people consider their wants as needs. Wants are not guaranteed, nor are they always good for us. God tells us that if we pray according to His will, He will honor that prayer.

Psalm 37:4, Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

When Believers put their trust in God, He will put desires in their hearts that He will say yes to.

2 Corinthians 1: 20,  for all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

God even spoke about His love for His creation in the Old Testament.

Jeremiah 29: 11, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

When the New Testament was being taught, it was in fact also backing up the promises and Prophecies of the Old Testament. It proves what God Said through the prophets.

God is not moved by some magic indentation. God is moved by a repentant, sincere heart. He wants to have a father, children relationship with us. He sees our hearts. When we accept His Son  the Lord Jesus Christ,  we become righteous in His eyes and that relationship is formed. It really is that simple my friends. Just say the Prayer of Salvation with all your heart and you will be saved. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves You!

Don’t Waste Mind Power

Ephesians 4: 31-32, let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

You might be asking how you waste mind power? The answer is simple. Don’t spend time worrying or in unforgiveness in your heart.

I realize that many people reading this might be thinking this whole idea is stupid or impossible. All I can say is, you are wasting mind power thinking that.

Let us start with forgiveness. Every single person in the world has been betrayed, lied to, lied about, and the list goes on. Many of these are hurtful, and real. However, they are over, and can’t be changed.

Consider this. You were betrayed. A devastating experience for sure. Again, ask yourself a question. Did I get so much pleasure out of it that I want that experience every day for the rest of my life?

Ridiculous right? If you don’t forgive, that is exactly what will happen. Forgive in your heart, you don’t have to forget. Free yourself and use your mind power for better things.

Forgiveness is one of those things in life that God expects of us but is so hard for us humans to do. There is quite a bit of logic in forgiving besides what the Bible says. Do you think that the person you are not forgiving cares about whether you forgive them or not? Hot flash. They don’t. So, what have you to gain except the thrill of reliving the bad experience the rest of your life? This probably isn’t the last time.

Matthew 6:27, Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Matthew 6:34, therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

We have all heard statements like 90% of what we worry about never happens, 6% we can’t do anything about.  Well, my friends, that is pretty close to the truth.

When you think about a problem real or potential, you go through all the worry, aggravation,  and stress that you could possibly handle. You live the whole experience every single minute of every single day until this supposed event will take place. Every minute and every day that you worried, took away from the possible pleasure in your life, and wasted the power of your mind.

It is very hard to get over the habit of worrying, but you will find that if you trust God with the direction of your life, you will make mostly right decisions depending on how many decisions you ask Him for the answer to. When you trust in God for the correct answers to everything you bring to Him, you save stress on your brain.

Faith as most people see it usually involves trusting that God will do something good in our lives. Have you considered the fact that when you believe something negative will happen, that it reflects faith in satan. I know that sounds a little harsh but either way takes faith for good or bad. Don’t waste your mind power. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross, and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Faith Is Not A Feeling

Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Today we look at faith and whether we have it. The most obvious question is, have we repented of our sins, and accepted Jesus and His death and Resurrection, and asked Him into our hearts as our Savior

Ephesians 2: 8, for by Grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

A common mistake many people make is to question their salvation because they listen to their minds and not their hearts. The fact is, if you said the Prayer of Salvation from your heart you are saved.

1 John 5:13, These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Faith is not a feeling; it is a heart issue. satan tries to convince almost all believers at one time or another that they are not saved. Ask yourself this. If I am not saved, why would satan be after me?

Relax, read the word of God, and listen for the Holy Spirit. He will put messages in your heart if you let Him.

Galatians 5: 22-23, But the fruit of the spirit is love, Joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such there is no law.

If you are doing any of these things, it will show you and other people that you are a believer in The Lord Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.

One final Point. Many people feel they do not have enough faith to accomplish what they are praying for. The fact of the matter is all you need is faith In the Name Of The Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one that makes it happen. Our job is to pray, believe, and put our total trust in God. As you read the word of God you will find many verses that will confirm your salvation.

Amen. Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

2 Peter 1:4, By which he has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

In this verse Peter talks about the promises. The New Testament alone tells us of the promises of God in a big way. As we all know, a guarantee, promise, warranty and such are only as good as who or what is behind it.

The New Testament writers were mostly people who knew the Lord Jesus Christ personally. They lived with Him and interacted with Him on a daily basis. They witnessed personally what they wrote about.

Most or nearly all of them lost their lives because of teaching about Jesus. They knew they would die if they taught about Jesus, but they did it without hesitation.

Ask yourself this question. Would anyone die for something they thought was a lie? So many martyrs among the believers did not die for a lie, but for the truth.

We have the benefit of hindsight. We have God’s word. The closer you are to someone; you know they can be trusted. Really spend some time in God’s Word and you will trust Him too.

God made many promises to us about salvation, forgiveness, gratitude, and many other things. Most of us know already that God does not go back on His word. God cannot lie, so when He makes a promise to us, we can be sure that sooner or later He will deliver.

It is a simple fact that when we get to know Jesus better as time goes on and we put a little effort into it we will be totally convinced that He is what is claimed to be. The son of God who came to this earth on a rescue mission, that is to save us.

Romans 8:28, And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

The key to receiving all the promises of God, is to trust that He will do what He says. Usually that is not an easy thing to do given the situation that we live in the world.  Jesus once said unless you believe as a little child you will not enter the kingdom of Heaven.

I tell you this because I found out a long time ago in my own experiences that the biggest reason people do not trust in the Lord or have faith in His word, the Bible is that they compare everything to people and what they understand in this temporary world. Put all of that aside, tell the Lord you want to understand, and just believe what the word says no matter what. What have you got to lose except your Immortal soul. I think you will agree that the stakes are very high. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross, to wash away my sins, and rose again in order to save me. I acknowledge my sins and ask you to  forgive those sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation, and eternal life. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ. Praise The Lord!

God Promises You

Besides the Bible teaching us about who God is and what He does, it also shows us all the promises He makes to those who love Him and believe in Him.

In the interests of helping our readers learn more about God’s promises so we don’t miss out on anything that God wants for us, we will be starting a new series. This series will be every Sunday night and we’ll involve different Promises of God.

In this series we will examine a verse or two every Sunday. We will really try to analyze what we are reading, rather than just reading it. We will attempt to make everything clear and in a concise manner.

In order to make this series work the way it’s supposed to, we would appreciate hearing your comments and ideas in order to let us know if it is helping or not. We also would like your comment about something you may want explained, or a question in general.

We hope the new series will help you to get to know Jesus and God our Father better, and get a better understanding of how powerful prayers can be if you have faith and trust.

God bless you and your family.  Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I repent of these sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

The Key To Answered Prayer

1 Peter 3:12, For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

You may be wondering how you get to be righteous. This does not mean self-righteous, but righteous in God’s eyes. We become righteous in God’s eyes through salvation. The Lord Jesus Christ makes us righteous in the Father’s sight by what He did on the cross.

James 5:6, the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Matthew 6:6 but you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

If you want to go across the country to a certain place, the first thing you would do is get a good map. It seems automatically you trust that map is correct, and you know you must follow every twist and turn. You might even get a GPS to talk you through it. Again, trust comes into it.

If we want to get to Heaven someday, we need special guidance. In this case our map is the Bible the written Word of God. The backup is the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us everything we must do to reach our destination. Again, trust is needed.

As we go through our journey to Heaven, we will probably experience the spiritual equivalent of rain, snow, heat, bumpy roads, detours and so on. That is what life is. For the best trip, go with Jesus and you will make it.

If you will trust what someone or some number of persons did in creating a map or the guidance for a GPS without even knowing them, doesn’t it seem to make more sense to trust the Bible, the written inspired word of God. and the Lord Jesus. Directions on the map might seem a little funny and hard to believe, but so are things in the Bible if you’re not a regular reader. The Bible is your lifeline literally. Never just pass it off as just written by men, Think long and hard because your eternal future depends on the right decision

Isaiah 41: 10, Fear not, for I Am with You; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

As you go through this trip called life, and you believe in the Word of God, it is likely that friends, even family will ridicule you and tell you how dumb you are. Whatever it is you must trust in the Lord as a little child.

Psalm 37: 4, delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you!

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I repent of those sins and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation.

Thank you, Lord Jesus.

Does God Condemn Anyone

Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Unfortunately, there are many people, including some Christians who believe that they have sinned so much that they cannot be forgiven. That is a lie from satan.

John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

1 John 3:20, For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

Think about this. Do you believe in your heart that God sent His Son to suffer, die, and rise from the dead for certain people or sins?

Romans 10: 13, For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God does not lie. He hates lies. If He says all or everyone, that is exactly what He means. Some people don’t really understand that forgiveness is real no matter how much we sin If we truly repent.

People in general have a misunderstanding about the consequences of sin. These consequences are not punishment from God, they are the result of the bad choices we have made that led to sin.

The beginning of a new life starts with trusting God and His word. He forgives when we repent. Repent means to change, not go on like we were.

A Matter Of Faith

Hebrews 11:1, now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of Things Not Seen.

Hebrews 11: 6, but without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith tells us we are saved by grace, a gift from God. But is that all there is to it? There is no doubt that we are saved by grace, but that  gives us some responsibility.

James 2:26, For as the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

When you are saved, it is natural to be excited and want to do God’s will. It requires more than just wanting to do God’s will. First of all we must realize that God is the source of everything. We on our own could do nothing, not even the smallest thing that you can think of. So how do we change this goal?

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

Okay so now we know that we are saved by faith, and we should show others that faith by our works. In order to have the faith to do all these works, we must be close to God. It is only by knowing Him and trusting Him that we can use the power that He gives us as believers. So let’s see what we can do as a part of showing others that we are saved, and doing God’s will.

Galatians 5: 22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, Joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law

So far we have seen a number of verses that will help our faith grow and help us to realize we are doing God’s will, and getting closer to our Lord.

1 Peter 2:15, For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

I must let you in on something that took me a long time to realize. If you tell the Lord you want to do His will, believe the Holy Spirit Will direct and help you

As you strive to do His will don’t expect some spirit being telling you that you are definitely doing God’s will. As a matter of fact you may not feel anything. That keeps you from having the sin of pride. Believe in your heart. That is what counts with God.

Keep plugging along and growing your faith. You may not feel like you’re doing anything, but remember this, we do it to please Him, not ourselves. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I ask forgiveness for those sins and for you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Prosperity Can Destroy

Mark 10:25, Children, how hard it is, for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!

Matthew 19: 24, again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

Luke 18:25, For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

These three Gospels were written to different groups, but they all taught the same truth. Matthew is directed to the Jews, Mark to those in the Roman Empire unfamiliar with Jews history, and Luke to intellectuals such as the Greeks. They were looking for the perfect man, and Luke gave them Jesus.

When you look at the differences between these groups why do you suppose this message was given to all of them?

Matthew 6:24, No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

1 Timothy 6:10, For the Love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many arrows.

Exodus 34: 14, for you shall worship no other God, for the Lord, whose name is jealous is a jealous God.

The one thing they all had in common was the love of money which for most of them was their God. We have one of two choices. One is good the other is evil. We decide by our actions which way we go. God or satan.

It is a fact that a person will behave in a group quite differently than he would on his own. It can be good or bad. We see from the verses that warnings are there for us. We cannot serve God and satan. satan deceives people with money and all kinds of stuff. He knows that the vast majority, of people will eventually get to the point that their appetites for money, pleasure, and anything you can name will be insatiable.  By now you probably figured out that one of the problems could be keeping up with the Joneses.

One thing to remember is something most of us don’t think about. When a person sins without Limits, he gets to the point where he does not recognize sin. He in effect becomes his own God, and praises everything he has done and lives according to his own rules. Success has a way of doing that to people

There are some very successful people who love and praise the one true God. They allowed God to lead and prosper them, following what God says rather than following satan and the world.

This subject deserves much more time, and space than we have here. If you pursue this, you will find more knowledgeable teachers, and far more facts. My goal is to point you in the right direction. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

Amen

New Year, New Beginning

James 4:8, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinner, and purify your heart, your double minded.

This is the time of year; many people make resolutions about their upcoming behavior. Most people are defeated after a couple of days. Are they weak and destined to fail? Read on.

There are certain ways to act and think in order to achieve success. Let me explain. God is the source of every blessing and once we realize that, it leads us to realize that the best thing we can do is to get closer to God and His ways. The Bible has all the answers.

Galatians 6: 6, Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

While nothing replaces the Bible, we can take ideas from it as we learn. The Bible is so full of wisdom, that every day we don’t read it, is a day of blessings we miss.

Psalm 37: 5, commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him. And He shall bring it to pass.

Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

The list goes on and on. One thing I found enlightening to me was making a list, To see where I stood concerning God’s Word. I started out writing down the number of hours in a day, and how much time I spend on each thing that I do. When I finished it I was shocked to find out I spent several hours on nonsense things, and a minuscule couple of minutes with God’s Word on days I even looked at the Bible.

Believe me, if anyone put in so little effort on anything, they would fail miserably. Ask yourself, how do I even know what God wants for me, and how can I find out how to be rescued from satan’s attacks.

2 John 1: 9, Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

For your own good, believe this verse. Many people who believe they are saved will spend eternity in the wrong place. God looks at the heart, and talk is cheap. God gave us His Word as in instruction book, and the Lord Jesus Christ to save us and prepare us to live according to the word.

The plain fact the matter is, the closer you get to God the closer He is to you. And the closer He is to you the more you will be able to hear what He is telling you.  There will be more on this subject later. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!
