Light or Dark?

It Is Written, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, but even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4) whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine on them.
The god of this age is satan, and his followers are many.  Look anywhere in the world, and you will see his influence.  Countless people living in darkness because of satan, and an almost violent obsession with their hate for Jesus.  When there is a catastrophe, the same people ask "how could God allow this"?
Whenever anything good happens, they call it luck, or they take credit for it themselves.  When something bad happens however, these people are silly enough to blame a God they either don't believe in, or do not want to be associated with.
satan is leading countless millions to an eternity in hell, and his followers seem dedicated to him anyway.  He is never blamed for anything.
Jesus on the other hand, is the most hated person that ever was.  Society keeps trying to eliminate Him from everything.  They are trying to convince everyone that Jesus never was more than an ordinary man at best.
To a believer, Jesus represents love, forgiveness, kindness, patience, and every other good thing, just as the Word says.  He is the light, and satan represents darkness.  Darkness cannot overcome light.
It is probably a fact that those who live in darkness hate the light, because the light exposes who they are, and what they do.
If you are not totally in the light yet, just ask Jesus, He is waiting for you. He doesn't care how dark your past was.  Have a blessed day.
 Praise the Lord!

What Is Important to God

It Is Written, Psalm 145:3, great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
What is important to God?  You are.  He created you in His image, and made eternal life possible.  When sin came into the world and threatened to send you to the other place for eternity, God sent His only Son on a mission to save you.
God knew before time, what would happen, so He planned for everything. He knew every single thing that would happen to you.  His plan was for every good thing for you.
Just as a good parent allows a child to decide what they would do in life, God gave us a free will.  Just as we train a child and expect the best,  God does too.  Just as you see your child making mistakes, God sees us making mistakes.  Just as you try to guide your child, God is trying to guide all of us through His Word.  He wants all of us to spend eternity with Him.
Most people go by what the world teaches.  Most of it is against what is important to God.  People would rather have what is important to them. They interpret the Bible to fit their lifestyle, because their lifestyle is important to them.  They do not want anyone to tell them how to live.  The thing is, you can't ignore the truth of God's Word anymore than you can ignore gravity.
What matters in life is simple.  What matters to God is what counts.  What is important to you doesn't matter, unless it lines up with the Word.  Saying God, heaven, hell, do not exist, does not make it so.  Once you die, you don't get a chance to change your mind.  God forgives, as long as you are breathing.  Maybe it's time to think about what is important to you.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Rebuking satan

It Is Written Mark 16:17, and these signs will follow those who believe:  in My Name they will cast out demons;  they will speak with new tongues.
It Is Written, James 4:7, therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
I don't think it is a surprise to anyone that satan is in the habit of attacking believers.  Many believers practically panic when they think that satan is attacking them.  Many of these people scream and holler at the devil because they think that is what works.  Have you ever seen a mother who constantly screamed at unruly children?  They ignore her.  See any similarity?
Don't get into a conversation with satan.  You can't possibly win because he has thousands of years of experience.  Don't ask him his name or anything else.
If you feel that satan is on you so much, that you must rebuke him every couple of minutes, you probably didn't cast him out in the first place.  More than likely he never left.
Look to Jesus.  Jesus had a pure heart, He had no unforgiveness, He loved everyone.  When He talked at demons, He usually used only a couple of words, in a normal tone of voice.  He spoke with authority because He knew who He was, so they feared Him.
Jesus gave us the great commission, which included casting out demons in His Name.  He expects us to carry out that command.  The first thing you must do is believe that that command applies to you, and you have authority through Jesus name.
If you try to cast out a demon and you have unforgiveness in your heart it won't work.  You need the same kind of pure heart, with faith and love that Jesus had in order to succeed.  If you have fear or doubt of any kind, he will probably laugh.
Over the years I have heard preachers, have read some books, and found out from personal experience, that the best way to get rid of satan is, when you notice he is around,  pick up your Bible and start reading Scripture.  It would be a good idea to have a handy list of Scriptures just for that occasion.  Don't just read the words, but believe in your heart, in Jesus name, to speak with authority and rebuke the devil.
If you do this faithfully, you will get to the point, that when satan shows up, you just ignore him without even thinking about it.  Remember he can't do anything unless you allow him to.  Just to show you what I am talking about, just read the Bible, and you will see that satan loses, and we win. Have a blessed day.

What Would Jesus Do ?

It Is Written, Hebrews 2:18, for in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
I think it is pretty safe to say, that the majority of people have heard this expression at least once.  It probably started out as something said in jest, because it certainly has been used that way.
When someone offends us, cheats us, lies about us, etc.  We may well ask what would Jesus do?  He showed us what He would do during His life and crucifixion.  He said "Father forgive them, they know not what they do" as right, He still loved them and forgave them.  At the time, He was an ordinary man.
If we start asking what would Jesus do, as a guide, we will please our Father.  The Word tells us what to do in any situation.  If you don't know the Word well enough, or don't have time to check it out, do what Jesus did.  Love them anyway, and forgive them.  It covers all situations, including the ones where it is very hard to do.
As a reminder to all of us.  We are not to judge His creation, we are to love and forgive.  After all, the Creator loves us and forgives us every day, no matter how much we offend Him.
This phrase about what Jesus would do, does not work very well with frivolous things.  It is however a great thing to remember as a guide to Christian lifestyle the way it should be.  Have a blessed day.

Take It To The Lord 1

It Is Written, Proverbs 5:21, for the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.
One of the hardest things for man to do, is to trust someone else.  It is not always about being afraid someone will mess up, but one of comfort.
Let me explain.  When you go somewhere in a car with someone else;  do you feel better if you are driving?  Do you pay someone to do a job around your house and get frustrated because you feel you would have had better results?
There are times you are forced to trust someone else, as in a trip by plane. You must let the pilot fly the plane, because you don't know how.  He is trained, and is able to deal with unforeseen problems.
Now to the point.  The average person makes thousands of decisions or choices in a lifetime.  Think about that for a minute.  There are decisions about easy things that are pretty safe, like what clothes to wear.
Many decisions that affect our future as well as our present, are much tougher.  Whether to marry or not, what career to pursue, a business or going to school.  Buy a house or not, where, how to raise the kids, and it goes on.
Most people, including myself, didn't really worry too much.  We were making seat of the pants decisions.  We didn't realize how many things affected the outcome.  Other people, the economy, and 100 other stumbling blocks we couldn't see or anticipate.  They say hindsight is a great teacher.  How many times have you said, or heard someone else say, "if I knew then what I know now".  We can't go back and that's for sure.
What if I told you about an amazing way to live, so that  20 years from now, you won't make that statement because you did it right?
I learned the hard way that the key to success in anything, is to take it to God first, and wait for an answer.  He sees all, and can avoid problems, and see who will do what and when, and how it all fits together.  He makes things happen.  Ask in faith, and He will guide you.  Sometimes something may just happen for your good.  That was not luck or a coincidence, or even a knowing in your heart.  If it is covered in the Word, you won't have any doubt.  Read Proverbs 3:5-6.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

satan Uses Us Against Us

It Is Written, James 1:5-8, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  6) but let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  7) for let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8) he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
A common problem that many believers have, is when prayers seem to go unanswered.  Doubt comes in, and takes over.  Many Christians have a hard time believing, because satan plants the doubt, and a believer accepts it as fact.
There are many reasons for unanswered prayer.  Doubt, fear, knowing God can, but will He?  Worry is also a big problem.
Let's use supernatural healing as an example.  Suppose a pastor lays hands on you to heal a problem in a leg.  When he lays hands on you and prays it is up to you to believe that you are healed.  When you do, that healing is set in motion in the spirit world and you receive it because by Jesus stripes you were healed.
The healed person must continue to believe, even if the pain doesn't leave immediately.  Sometimes it takes a while, and discouragement shows its head.  satan is right there to tell you that you aren't healed, and besides that you don't deserve to be.  At this point you must stand on the Word.
When you are getting up from a chair, anticipate strong healthy legs, not painful ones.  Always remember that the Holy Spirit is working and it will come to pass.  It's just a question of receiving what Jesus has already done. The sad part is many people give up just before they get the answer.
If you follow what the Word says, and do not doubt, but trust in the Lord, no matter what, you will receive what you ask.  Faith love and trust in God are the keys for everything, no matter how impossible it may look.  If you are a believer and it is in the Word, you will receive.  You must remember, God cannot lie, and satan cannot tell the truth.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

satan= LOSER

It Is Written, James 4:7, therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
It is written, 1 John 4:4, you are of God, little children, and have overcome them ( evil spirits ) because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
As we all know by now, all of us are spirits, created in God's image.  We walk around in a body just as Jesus did.  That fact in itself causes many problems.
satan knows that his only chance to get to us is through the body.  The body is morally weak by nature, and wants only pleasure of one sort or another.  The body is controlled by a brain that tries to pamper it.  The spirit however is the opposite.  It wants God, and to do the right thing. There is the problem.
The brain wants to corrupt the body and tries to block the guidance of the spirit.  The spirit is really the power in the body, but it must be fed regularly.  If it isn't fed, it is weak and ineffective.  Under these conditions the spirit can be overwhelmed, if it does not connect with God.
The spirit feeds on the Word of God.  As it feeds, it grows in strength.  After feeding regularly for a while, the spirit can start to control the brain.  Now the brain agrees with the spirit that satan is not in control, they are.
At this point the spirit who is one with God, and the renewed brain, all get together to get the body to do what is right in the eyes of God.
Once the brain and the spirit get control of the body, satan becomes a minor irritant at times, and nothing more.  This is a very brief description, but I think it gets the idea across.  We have control, and satan cannot get to us if we don't let him.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Perfect Peace

It Is Written, John 14:27, peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It Is Written, Romans 8:6, for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
It is difficult for most people to even think about giving up their stuff.  They may have collections, special items, even investments of one sort or another.  For quite a few people, stuff and accumulating more stuff, is almost an obsession.
If you take a real good look at these two verses, you'll probably reach the conclusion that God is saying we should put Him first in our lives, and everything else after.
We receive true peace in our hearts when we love and trust God.  We know we have godly peace in our hearts, when we can look at our stuff, and choose God over the stuff.
Godly peace has some really great benefits.  If you have true godly peace in your heart, you will no longer worry about anything.  You will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and make better decisions.  Your peace will greatly improve your life, and that of your family.  With peace in your heart, you can rest assured that God is taking care of everything in your life.
God is not trying to tell us that we shouldn't have stuff,  He is just trying to tell us to put things in proper perspective.  He knows what's best for us, and will give it to us if we let him.  By the way, if God is taking care of everything, we can sit back and enjoy the things we have.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

A Calling

It Is Written, Romans 8:28-30, and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29) For whom He forknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30) Moreover whom He predestined , these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
The word predestined refers to the fact that God knew who would accept Jesus, before man was even created.
If you watch preachers on TV, or read books written by preachers, you will hear or read that they were called by God to do what they do. They usually say they heard the call in their heart.
Because of this calling, many people feel they are less in God's eyes, because God didn't talk to them. Many feel that for some reason they were left out. Not so. Read on.
When you accept Jesus as your Savior, realize that it is by grace you receive Jesus.  God knew it before you were born, so you were predestined, or as some say, one of the elect.  At this point God called you automatically for His service.
Minister, or ministry, basically means to serve.  When you were born again, you received the fruits of the Holy Spirit.  Galatians 5:22-23, lists them as love, joy, peace, long-suffering, (patience) kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
You can make a ministry out of many things, and by doing so, you are fulfilling God's call on your life. One other thing.  When you walk with God, the Holy Spirit may call you in your heart for a specific situation, maybe once in a while, or possibly an ongoing thing.  He directs us as it fits His plan, and provides us what we need to accomplish that plan.  Love and faith work together and one will not work without the other.
As long as we all serve God, in whatever way we are led, we are doing His will, and we will never miss out. If we love our neighbor as ourselves, all we need to do at that point is wait for God to put something on our heart, and then do it.  Remember faith without works is dead.  When you put it all together, the fact is anyone who is born again, is called.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

A Heart For God

It Is Written, Psalm 27:14, wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait I say on the Lord.
When most people accept Jesus as their Savior, they really don't realize what happened.  Because of that, they end up feeling empty because try as they might, very little progress is made.
Being born again is a spiritual thing.  God put something in your heart that controlled your brain to say the words and take the steps for salvation.  In many cases the brain took over, and your actions were no longer spiritual. Let's take a look at this.
When we were created, we were made in the image of God.  While many people realize God is a spirit, they don't realize that we are spirits too.  We become one with God.  Jesus received the Holy Spirit to be the power behind what He did.  We received the Holy Spirit, when we accepted Jesus as Savior, and the same power Jesus had when we were baptized in the Holy Spirit.  The only difference is, we do everything in Jesus name.
God sent His son to save man.  Jesus put aside His God status and became flesh, but he still had the same spirit we have.  Jesus fulfilled His mission on earth, but left instructions for us to continue His work in our turn.
There is only one way for us to do that.  Just as Jesus had to use a body, we do to.  We are just like Jesus, because we became righteous because of Jesus death and resurrection and our acceptance of Him.
Just as Jesus talked to His Father all the time, did what His Father showed Him and told Him, we must do the same.  Our Father gave us instructions in the Bible,  gave us Jesus as an example, and talks to us if we listen for His voice.
By reading God's Word, and following Jesus example, we will get closer and closer to God, and our hearts will be full of His presence.  You cannot will your heart (spirit) to do anything spiritual on your own.  It takes the presence of God to fill the empty space in your heart.  Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Steps of Faith

It Is Written, James 1:12,  "Blessed is the man who endures temptation;  for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him"
The message today is about something that affects all Christians at one time or another. That something can be called, frustration, doubt, despair, weariness, and so on.  It can build, or hit you all at once.
Whatever you call it,  it all comes from the same sources.  Let's take a look at a typical Christian. For this example, we will call him Tom.
Tom has just been born again.  He starts to read the Bible, and he runs across, "ask anything in my name" and he gets excited.  He starts to watch a couple of preachers.  The preachers are talking about what he is reading. Wow!
Our friend Tom is out in the real world, and things are not quite like he hears from the preachers.  It seems very few people think or act like him. He is surrounded by negativity, and the ways of the world.
Tom tries his best to believe, but because of doubt placed in his mind from friends, he doesn't spend much time in the Word anymore.  He doesn't see his prayers answered, so more doubt, frustration and despair come in.
Jesus said I will never leave you or forsake you.  If a person is truly born again, Jesus will not let him go, but will send someone to that person to get them back on track.
I had a dream that helped me understand, and I hope it helps you too. I pictured a long stairway called faith.  It had about 1000 steps to get to the top.  It seemed impossible to climb that high.  As I looked at it though, I noticed a series of platforms on the steps.  A little voice said to me, those are places to rest and pull yourself together before you continue on.
Faith is that way.  Tom took the steps and got tired.  Just as he felt that he wasn't going to make it, he got to a platform (help sent from God} where he could gather his strength and courage.
No matter how many steps, and no matter how many stops, Jesus will give us the strength to get to the top if we only persevere.  Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Trust In The Lord

It Is Written, Psalm 34:22,  the Lord redeems the lives of His servants, and in none of those who take refuge and trust in Him shall be condemned or held guilty.
Strongs dictionary of biblical words, shows several definitions of the word trust.  The Hebrew and Greek define trust as, confidence, faith, assurance, to hope in advance, to name a few.  These are all faith filled words.
Words are brought to life in the supernatural world, whether they are faith words, or negative, or as I call them, death words.  They are acted on as soon as they are spoken.
When we fill our hearts and minds with the Word Of God,  we develop our faith and love.  As a result, when we read God's promises, we can claim them for our own.  What promises we claim, we trust that He will deliver.
As we trust in God and His promises, we will undoubtedly be attacked by satan.   satan will try to put doubt or fear in us.  Once we accept what satan says, that cancels out what God said.
When satan attacks at any time, read or say out loud Psalm 34:19" many evils confront the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of all of them".
Remember, you are made righteous by what Jesus did on the cross, and your acceptance of Him.  satan has no power over you in Jesus name.
Trusting God to answer prayer usually requires patience as well as trust. God cannot lie, so have faith and trust in Him.  If satan tries to tell you it won't happen, take that as confirmation your prayer will be answered, because as we know, satan is a liar, and cannot speak the truth.  Have a blessed day.
 Praise the Lord!

Spirit Power

It Is Written, 1 John 4:12-13,  no one has seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.  By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His spirit.
When Jesus was baptized, and the voice from heaven called Him beloved Son, the Holy Spirit came upon Him.  As you read about Jesus miracles, you probably don't realize at first, that it is the Holy Spirit working through Jesus that performs the miracles.  Jesus Himself said that He by Himself could not perform miracles, but by the power of the Holy Spirit.
In these times, we see evangelists like Billy Graham, and a number of people who have been anointed by God to lay hands on people to heal them.  Many of us see these people and we are a little envious of them.  No need to be.
When we became believers we all received the fruits of the Holy Spirit and His presence in us.( Galatians 5:23 ).  Then we could choose to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and receive the gifts of the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12 ).
Everyone who is a believer was given a measure of faith.  Everyone who is baptized in the Holy Spirit, receives the same Holy Spirit that Jesus received.  At this point we are all equal to the giants of faith, and capable of doing what they do or did.
God being who He is, knew everything since before man was even created. God knew each of us and what we would do.  Even though we all have the same Holy Spirit, I believe we are called and anointed by God for what He knows we will put our whole being into.
Just as many people would like to be a superstar in a sport, there are varying degrees of effort put into it.  You can be very good in a sport, but not be a superstar.  The important thing to remember is, each of us is called by God to do the best He knows we are capable of, and the Holy Spirit helps us to achieve it.  We are just as valuable to God, as any of the great people of the Bible.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Unintentional Judging

It Is Written, Romans 14:13, therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brothers way.
Everyone judges someone else.  You may not even realize you are doing it. A prime example of what I'm talking about is driving.  On any day you drive, you are likely to become angry with someone, because you think that they lacked courtesy, or they do something to benefit themselves, even it puts others in danger.
Another example is when shopping.  Parking lots are notorious.  A big reason for judging someone is when you see a perfectly healthy looking person parking in a handicapped spot.  How about someone ahead of you when checking out, like the one who always holds everything up.
Another example is when you think you are helping someone.  You insist your way is right and theirs is wrong.  You try to correct everything, even before they do it.
The hardest thing comes up when you're trying to help loved ones.  When you see them about to make a terrible mistake, you point out, or bring up something about the past,  just to try to get their attention.  You try to do it in a loving sympathetic way, but unfortunately it does not come across that way, it comes across as judging them.  So even if what you trying to do seems good, it can cause more harm.  Unless it is life-threatening, the wiser thing would be to keep quiet.
A lmost everything in life is learned by doing.  Mistakes can be a very good teacher.  People remember mistakes.  Instead of getting angry as in the first example and running the risk of hard feelings as in the second example, the answer is simple.  Instead of getting upset, put all of these things in God's hands.  Since He is the creator, only He can fix any problems with His creation.
I must admit I have been guilty on all counts in the past.  It took quite a while for me to realize I was judging people.  I'm happy to say I have been working on it with the help of the Holy Spirit, and I have improved.  Well let's put it this way, I think I have.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!

God Forgives

It Is Written, Mark 11:25, and whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
As all believers know, Jesus blood washed away all of our sins, except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Mark 3:29 says in part, he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.
Since Jesus forgave all of our sins,  He expects us to forgive those who sin against us.  Because forgiveness is so important to God, we must make it important to us.  When we forgive and forget, we have peace in our hearts. If we don't forgive, we are hurt by the initial act against us, and the unforgiveness eats us up because we keep reliving what was done to us.
What many Christians don't understand is that even though sins are forgiven, there are still consequences.  Even David, Solomon, and countless other heroes of the Bible, paid a heavy price for their transgressions.
If there are no consequences, there is usually no change in behavior. Consequences remind us of the error of our ways. If someone commits a crime, feels sorry he did it, and the victim forgives him, he will still go to jail.
"Vengeance is mine saith the Lord". How many times have you read that in the Bible, and do you believe it?  Since every man is created by God, it is only right that God judge each man according to his actions.  When we leave justice to the Lord, he gives us peace in our hearts, and we can move on with our lives.  We should also remember, that when it comes time for us to be judged, we can praise the Lord that it is Him who is judging us.
I am not trying to say, that there will not be times, when it will be very difficult to forgive someone.  As I said before, if you leave it with God, and believe in His justice, it will take the sting out of the situation.  Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Spirit To Spirit

It Is Written, Psalm 149:4, for the Lord takes pleasure in His people.  He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Yesterday, a close relative was given only a couple of hours to live.  She was in a hospital in a coma.  In times like that it is natural for family members to worry about whether or not that person is right with God. They usually speak loving words to that the person hoping that they hear. Many doctors including the one in this case say they seriously doubt that anyone in a coma hears or understands anything.
I wasn't at the hospital last night, but thoughts ran through my head, and I received a revelation in my spirit.  We know that God's thoughts and ways are not what the world thinks or does.  Most people see the carnal side so they think carnally.  They do not realize how  much God loves us and wants us to be with Him.
We are all spirits, just like God is a spirit.  He created us in His image, and since He is a spirit, so are we.  We walk around in a body just like Jesus did.
Stay with me here.  What I say now, is not biblical, but it is a revelation from my spirit, and as a result I believe it.  I'll tell you why.  The body has a brain.  The brain usually wants to follow the world, because the body is temporary.  satan tries to control the brain in order to get the body to sin. As a defense against the Word of God,  satan plants fear and doubt in the brain.  The spirit tries to get the brain to stop doing bad and to do good instead.  If the brain continues ignoring the spirit, the spirit gets quieter and quieter until it is not heard.
Now for the good part.  Our spirit is one with God and all other believing spirits.  Since that is the case, we can cut out the middleman, the brain. When a person is in a coma for instance, they are still alive because the spirit is still present.  At that point your spirit can talk to their spirit.  You don't even have to pray out loud or even be there.  Distance does not affect spirits.
I rebuked satan and any evil spirits in her in the name of Jesus, and told them they are to leave immediately, and do not interfere in any way.  Then I addressed her spirit by saying spirit of------------- in Jesus name, hear this. Jesus loves you and wants you with Him.  Confess all your sins, and accept Jesus Christ as Savior, right now, and be saved.
The revelation I got, is that spirit talking to spirit will get the job done.  If you have unbelieving children, friends that don't want to hear about Jesus, even someone in an ambulance that goes by, just use your spirit to talk to their spirits about salvation, and then believe that it is done.
Intercessory prayer is the most powerful type of prayer.  It seems to me that if that is the case, and it is, praying spirit to spirit is even more powerful.  God Himself said that He is a spirit and we must pray to Him in the spirit.
To have total peace in your heart and never worry about a loved one again, just let your spirit do all the praying to their spirit, and just relax.  God loves you, and  God loves them.  The spirit wants to get back to Him, so don't pay any attention to what anyone else thinks.  Pay attention to what God thinks and follow your heart.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Churches

It Is Written, Hebrews 13:17, obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account.  Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
If you are familiar with the book of Revelation, you know that only two of the seven churches mentioned were without fault.  There were varying degrees of criticism for the remaining five.
As most of us know, church is a group of believers who meet in a building they refer to as church.  As you would expect, each group has what amounts to a personality, and behaves according to its religion.
As in the churches of the apocalypse, indifference, love for Christ hardly evident, toleration of immorality, heresy, even idolatry, those things still exist today.
As believers we have the responsibility for our own actions.  We must know the Word of God, so that none can deceive us.  If we are in a church that does not teach the Word, the way it is written, we must go where it is taught.
Some preachers try to adapt the Word to the world today.  They try to be politically correct in order to attract more younger people.  Some preachers have done it so long, they no longer know the truth.
We have an eternal soul.  That means it will live forever.  When our time comes, we cannot use the excuse that we are only doing what our pastor taught us.  It won't be accepted.
Your soul is priceless.  Know the Word for yourself.  It is not open to change or trying to figure out what God really meant.  The Bible says what it means, and means what it says.  It is for all people, and all times, no exceptions.  We are responsible for what the Bible says, not what some person or group says.
The more you study God's Word, the less chance you will have of being deceived.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Step Up

It Is Written, Proverbs 29:1-2, for people who hate discipline and only get more stubborn, there will come a day when life tumbles in and they break, but by then it will be too late to help them. 2) when good people run things, everyone is glad, but when the ruler is bad, everyone groans. ( The MSG Bible )
Well here I am, on my soap box again.  This time I would like to talk about elected officials and our responsibility as citizens.
Our president is in the news quite often.  It seems he is signing executive orders every time you turn around.  Whether you agree with him or not, he is at least trying to do something.
Our Congress on the other hand seems like a bunch of freeloaders.  Most of them just go around playing bigshot and planning the next election. Politics is a game played by irresponsible children who have no accountability it seems.
Our Supreme Court does not interpret the Constitution, it is constantly rewriting it.  They are never accountable for anything, and enjoy a job for life.
So how did all of this happen?  The answer is apathy among the people.  We have politicians that have been in office for years and years.  If they lie, cheat, steal, break the law, we reelect them anyway.
It has become public recently that people in the administration think the American public is a bunch of stupid morons that don't understand anything, so they feel they can do whatever they want to because we don't know any better.
That is probably the only truth that has come out of Washington.  We elected them, so we must take a large part of the blame.  We keep reelecting do-nothing incompetents, so we pay the price.
Pretty soon we will have a new election.  It is the duty of every citizen to vote.  We cannot be lazy or careless.  If someone promises to do something, and doesn't, don't vote for him the next time he runs.  Congress was not meant to be a cushy, lifetime job.
If a babysitter abuses your child, would you keep hiring them?  Congress is supposed to be looking out for us and the country, not just themselves. We are not here to put up with their abuse and lack of good judgment.
It is time to show them we are not all morons.  Vote with thought.  Put yourself out a little and do it right.  Know who you are voting for.  Don't just vote for color, religion, or party.  Vote for someone you think will get the job done for the good of all, and then hold them to it.  God Bless America! Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Again ?

It Is Written, Psalm 86:5, for You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon you.
Four high school students in California, were arrested plotting the shooting "of as many as possible" at their school.  This comes less than a week after another mass shooting.
Everyone wants to know what is going on.  Well I guess we will hear plenty of talk about guns, but that isn't the answer.  The government won't face the real truth, probably because they don't know the real truth.  Our do-nothing Congress, is spending its time trying to figure out if the Washington Redskins should change their name, by dropping the Redskins. It's nice to know they have such important things to work on while all the rest of us suffer.
Students today were brought up in a time, and in a country, that embraces murder of babies.  Millions and millions have been murdered in the name of someone's rights.  No thought is given to the babies rights.  It doesn't matter what spin you put on it, it is murder.
When you have a society where everything, no matter how outlandish or evil it is, is permitted and even promoted, what can you expect from people who know nothing else.  We live in a society, where no one is responsible for anything.  We just blame someone else and make excuses for ourselves.  The criminal has all the rights, and the victim suffers twice.
School teachers and administrators, will suspend a student for reading a Bible at lunch, while another student can plan to blowup the school with no penalty.  What is wrong with that picture?
We take God out of everything, with the help of our court system and government.  When something goes wrong however, everyone wants to know how God could allow that tragedy.  Another thing you usually hear, where was God?
We can't have it both ways.  When you take good out of the picture (God), you allow evil in (the devil).  It doesn't matter how much you or the government denies the truth, it is still the truth.
If we want to create hell on earth, we are going about it the right way.  I'm sure some who read this will be offended, but so what.  This country needs to get back to God and the Bible.  If we don't, we're just seeing the beginning of hell on earth.  It is not too late.  Wake Up America! Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

PS the story about the four high school students was published in USA Today.  It seems NBC CBS and the rest didn't know or didn't want to upset someone by reporting the truth.

Making Miracles Manifest

In 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, it describes the gifts of the Holy Spirit, one of which is the working of miracles.  Check it out to see the rest of the gifts.
Let us look at the definition of what a miracle is.  It is the manifestation of power, beyond the ordinary course of natural law.  It is defined as an enablement to do something that could not be done naturally.  I must point out that miracles are done by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name.
So what kinds of things fall into this category?  For starters, the most common is divine healing.  Many people scoff at the idea of healing, but there is a great deal of evidence to support the fact that healing does happen supernaturally.
Prayers in general are usually about asking God for what looks impossible, so many things fall into the miracle category.  They aren't always earthshaking.
Assuming you have a clean heart and faith to believe, as the Lord promised, you will receive whatever it is you pray for, including healing.
In order to build your faith to the point where you don't have to think about it, takes some effort.  It is true for everything of course, but we will discuss healing.
The first thing after you claim it by faith, pronouncing the result in Jesus name, find as many verses in the Bible about healing as you can find.  Read these verses out loud every day.  Two or three times a day is a good idea.
It is important that you read the verses out loud, so you can hear your self saying the words, because that is what feeds your spirit.  Even if you know verses from memory, read them out loud anyway from the Bible.
Remember, promises of God, cannot fail.  He always delivers.  In a short time, you'll start to see results.  As with many miracles , it isn't always instantaneous, but sometimes over a period of time.  Do not get discouraged.  This is not a magic spell of some kind, it is you holding up the blood covenant that Jesus made.  By repeating the verses you are reminding God of His promise.
This may seem simple or silly, but believe me it works.  Faith and love along with the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, is what makes  all impossible things, possible.  Before you start, it might not be a bad idea to read Proverbs: 20-22.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

How Sin Happens

It Is Written, James 1:15,  then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
I think by now most of us realize that God does not tempt us, in order to test us.  He never tempted anyone.  satan is the source of all evil, and he is the tempter.  He even tried to tempt Jesus.
satan puts all kinds of thoughts in people's minds, hoping they fall for what he is saying.  To clear up a point that some people may not know, you cannot control what thoughts you get, but you can control what you do with them.
Sin begins with a wrong thought that satan gives us.  If you reject that thought, it is not a sin.  satan cannot make you accept what he tells you.  It is your decision.
The Bible says "as a man is in his heart, so is he."  As Jesus taught, accepting wrong thoughts is the same as doing what ever the thought was. Matthew 5:28, but I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her, has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  That shows you the importance, of accepting or rejecting satan's temptations.
If it is in your heart because you accepted it, and it breaks a commandment, it is sin.  Another thing about sin, comes from James 4:17 if you know to do good and you don't, to you it is a sin.
Sin does not happen by accident. You must choose to sin. You must consciously go against God's law.  The whole reason for Jesus coming to earth and suffering and dying on the cross for us, was to atone for our sins, because there is no way we could possibly keep from sinning.
The standards that Jesus set, are impossible for man to live up to.  The good news is, we are forgiven by Jesus atoning blood.  Praise the Lord, and do your best. God understands.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!
