Prayer During Hard Times

Isaiah 41:10, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

In times like these, these verses are very hard for most of us to live by, the next one requires a lot of thought.

Luke 6:28, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. Inlooking at this verse, I do not think that the idea is to bless in the way we usually bless people.. God hates sin, so there must be another way to bless evil doers. We do not want them to succeed in their evil ways.

I'm not trying to rewrite the Bible. I say what I really believe is the meaning behind praying for those who abused others. I ask the Lord to open the hearts and minds of abusers of others so that they change their ways, and stop the evil they are doing.

1  Timothy 2: 1 - 2, therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men. Everyone on earth will face God someday, and answer to Him for what he has done. God will reward good and punish evil.

As Christian's most of us are aware of all of the crimes against God's law in a large part of our society. Our job as followers of Christ is to pray that people, especially our leaders, see the light of Jesus, before it is too late.

Whether you believe it or not, sincere prayer is always answered. Remember this truth also. Everything is in God's time, not ours. God created us, so He gets to decide when enough is enough, and it is time for all to be judged.

Job 12 - 23 - 25, He makes nation's great and destroys them; enlarges nations and guides them, He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and makes them wander in a  pathless wilderness. They grope in the dark without light and He makes them stagger like a drunken man. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you..

Praise The Lord!

You Decide

Romans 8:14, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.

My wife and I had experiences on October 18th of this year that we call miracles. Unbelievers would probably call it the Twilight Zone. I will tell you the true event, and you decide.

We were coming back from Canada. We left our hotel Sault Ste Marie Canada at 3am because we couldn’t sleep. We didn’t want to waste time  sitting around waiting to go back home.

After we crossed the border, we decided to go home through Wisconsin. The road we took was two lanes. Very dark and deserted, no homes, businesses, or any sign of Life.

After a few miles we were hit with a blizzard. Winds about 30 or 40 miles per hour. Snow so heavy I had trouble seeing the snow packed road. No place to pull over, Heavy wet snow always grabbing the tires.

While I was struggling to stay on the road, my wife was asking the Holy Spirit to save us. Within minutes a truck was behind me flashing his lights. I knew he wanted to pass, and I thought this guy must be a nut. There was nowhere for me to move to, so I let him buy

I guess I moved over somehow, and this guy passes me like it was dry and sunny.  After he passed, he slowed down and put on every light that he had on his trailer. I followed his tracks. If I Fell behind, he slowed up until I caught up.

We followed him for miles, then we had to turn. He turned the same way. We went about another 20 miles and had to turn again. You guessed it, the truck turned too. After a few more miles a gas station appeared out of nowhere. The only thing we saw in over 50 miles

Truck pulled in and I followed him.  I got out of my car, and I walked over to see the driver. I thanked him for saving Our Lives  and three times I offered to buy him lunch. He smiled and said he didn’t do anything. I looked him in the eye and said God bless you and meant every bit of it, and he smiled. I don’t judge by color, race, or any of that stuff. For those who do however he was a young Hispanic.

There was no name on that truck or trailer. My wife wanted to thank him about 10 minutes later as we were getting our coffee. His truck was gone. The road was clear after that and no snow from then on. This was the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and they received 18 inches of snow that night and morning.

When we went through Milwaukee, three lanes were going down to one. As far as you can see, and with a big curve in the road to help you see ahead, there’s a solid line of cars and trucks on two lanes. Nothing moving.

My wife asked the Holy Spirit to help us again. In about two minutes things started to move. After a couple more minutes, the road ahead was empty. That’s right it was empty. There was nothing ahead of us. Figure that one out.

The story I have just told you is true as it happened. The only thing we can say is Praise the Lord, Miracles still do happen.

The words of the Lord Jesus Christ explain the whole story if you would but listen and believe.

John 14: 16, and I will pray the Father; and He will give you another helper that He may abide with you forever.

So, my friends you have just read the absolute truth. No exaggeration, no fantasy, just the facts as they occurred. You read the story. Is it miracles or the Twilight Zone?

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

A Big Discovery

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen or not made of things which are visible.

From an early age, when I saw pictures of Alaska or national parks I thought to myself that God must live there.

My wife and I took a trip to Canada, to visit our son and his wife. The closest town is about eight miles away. It is a small picturesque little town that doesn’t have very much in the way to entertainment or other things to do. My son’s house is about 150 feet above a lake that is on three sides of his house. All around are trees and more trees. When I sat on his deck and looked at the surroundings, I thought to myself, surely God does live here. I spent three days doing nothing but looking at the surroundings and talking to God. It seemed so natural. I felt such peace in my heart that it had to be a touch of the presence of God.

Now since we’re home everything looks different. It brings us to an important conclusion. God lives everywhere. You may ask yourself if that so true, why is it so hard sometimes to feel God’s presence where I live? When you get away from the daily routine, you’re basically putting aside your cares. When you do that, you start seeing with spiritual eyes, because your focus has shifted. It really doesn’t matter where you live, we can take quiet time at a park or Forest Preserve and focus on God’s creation. There is evidence of it everywhere if we look and focus on God. You will find that you will start to think in a different way and realize that God really is everywhere.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation. Lord Jesus God, please forgive all my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Good Or Bad

Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness calling bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

There is no need to rehash what most of us know about the condition of the world. What we must do is survive the situation, and we can only do that through  Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1: 4, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father

This is a good place to start. We as Christians have a mountain to deal with. We have a choice as to how big that mountain is and how much of an obstacle it becomes in our lives. Sounds crazy? Not when you realize that the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit can move mountains and make them very small and ultimately disappear.

Romans 8:37-39, Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us, for I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, not any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our lord.

So what do we do now? We know the Word of God is true, these verses are true. Now what? Stop and consider that God is love, and the world does not know Him. That is why the world is as messed up as it is. We must be an example of who Christ is by reflecting His light to the rest of the world that by our example , and the power of the Holy Spirit, they may come to the Lord our God.

If you have read God's Word in the Book of Revelations, you know where all of this is headed at some point in time. This could be the time. I'm not saying it is, but the coming of the Lord could be in the blink of an eye. Focus on God's love, because it overshadows the mountains of evil that we see. Trust in God with all your heart, because He is in control.

Proverbs 3:5- 6,  trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will guide your path.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Move That Mountain

Matthew 17:20, So Jesus said to them, because of your unbelief, for surely I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain. Move from here to there, and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you.

When Jesus said this to them about the mountain, He knew that no mortal man could accomplish this on his own. He was talking about their lack of faith. The story doesn't end there.

2 Corinthians 5:7, For we walk by faith not by sight.

Well my friends let us look at the mountains in our lives. You may be asking what mountain? The mountains I am talking about are the ones we create in our minds, they come into existence in our lives.

Have you ever heard someone say he or she is making a mountain out of a molehill? The old cliche is actually what happens. At one time or another, each of us has created our own Mountain, some bigger than others.

We all know how it works. We take a small incident, and focus on it with negative thoughts that satan plants in our heads. The mountain grows, satan pushes harder and we build that Mountain. Negativity rules the day. Sound familiar?

Let's apply faith and logic to this problem. We know that God is bigger than any problem, but how does that help us?

John 14:13-14, And whatsoever you ask in My name that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name I will do it.

Mark 11:24, Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

John 15:7, If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

If we stand on God's word we are doing His will. His Word says, He never goes against His promises, so it stands to reason that if we ask the Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, we will have what we ask.

You say you can't have that much faith. Balderdash. If you read God's word and put all of your focus and knowing God in His word, God will get bigger in your life and the mountains smaller and smaller until they are gone. Remember. Nothing is bigger than our God.

Hebrews 11:1, Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of Things Not Seen.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

No Condemnation

Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

It may come as a surprise to you, but even Christians have periods of doubt about their spiritual well-being. Why is that we may ask? As with most things, the answer is pretty simple. Let's take a look at some verses that may help.

1 Peter 5:1, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

That verse  tells you that satan is on the prowl and he is running around trying his hardest, especially with Christians to make them feel condemned and unloved by God. He wants you and I to be as bad off as he is, with no hope. It may seem like he only attacks Christians, and you would probably be mostly right. The simple reason is he already has the majority and he doesn't need to work on them.

2 Corinthians 11:3, But I fear, Unless somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

This verse is just a reminder to be on your guard, and always realize that if you were saved to begin with you generally have nothing to worry about. I do not know of any way that a truly saved person can lose salvation.

As you have probably figured out by now from these verses, satan is an evil, sneaky, villain. He has had thousands of years to perfect his trickery, and he has become number one at it.

You are not guilty of the evil thoughts satan puts in your mind. You are guilty only when you act on them. satan knows the Bible very well. He will spin, omit, change, what the Word says in order to deceive you and everyone else. it is therefore very important for you to know God's Word, so you will not be an easy target for his trickery.

Here is a very important point to remember. satan is always condemning us to God the Father. The Lord Jesus Christ is our advocate in Heaven, because by His death and Resurrection he has made us righteous in the eyes of the Father. Absolutely no condemnation.

If your heart is right with God, He will not condemn you. When you are in doubt,  He is the answer to everything. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

The Impossible

Jerimiah 32:17, Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the Heavens and the Earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

I know a few people who say they are Christians but the funny thing is that they cannot believe some of what the Bible says.. Things like The parting of the Red Sea, the multiplication of the loaves and fish, and so many more.

Matthew 19:26, But Jesus looked at them and said to them, with men this is impossible, but With God all things are possible.

The biggest reason for these doubts is, they don't really know who God is. We cannot judge what God can do by comparing our abilities with His. Just look at creation. Which of us can you even think of the smallest part, let alone do it.

Luke 18:27, But He said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Did you know that your prayers and the answers to them are the result of what you believe? You get from the Lord God what you believe He can do. Remember He is not limited in His abilities.

Mark 9:23, Jesus said to them, if you can believe, all things are possible to him who can believe.

Here is the saddest fact of all. Many people have not received salvation yet, because they do not believe that Jesus suffered, died, and rose again. Because they don't believe what Jesus did, they think their sins cannot be forgiven.

Isaiah 59:1-2, Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor his ear heavy that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear.

So if we can put aside the fact that God can do what we cannot do, it would be a good start.

Jesus died for our sins by the shedding of His blood. By believing that we cannot be forgiven, we are saying Jesus died for nothing, and God is a liar. God is so good, He will even forgive that, if we repent from the heart.

Believe the Bible as it is written. God does not think the way we do. The Bible points the way to eternal life. What have we got to lose, by living by God's rules? After all He is our creator. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

The Messiah

Isaiah 9:6, For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

As most of us know, Jesus Christ was called the anointed one, or the chosen one. Anointing was something that the Hebrews were familiar with.

Kings, priests, and such, as well as prophets were anointed or chosen for whatever duty they were to perform. Most people do not know the significance of Jesus being the Chosen One.

Elisha, Aaron, Samuel, David, Saul,  just a few examples of people who were anointed. Samuel for instance anointed Saul and later David. So what is special about Jesus being anointed?

Jesus was anointed by God Himself. Jesus Is God. He is Lord of the universe and all that is in it. He is the master, possessing supreme power and authority. There was none before and will never be another like Him. He is the one and only.

John 1:32-34, and John bore witness saying, I saw the Spirit descending from Heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water and said to me, upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and I have seen and testify that this is the Son of God.

The Bible tells us we are to pray in the name of Jesus. Since I became a Christian, many moons ago, I have used His name in countless prayers because I believe there is unbelievable power in that name.

Just recently, I started praying in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am acknowledging Him as master of everything, and I am telling God our Father that I realized the awesome power in that name.

When I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, it seems to increase my faith and trust. I believe if we use that name, it will change everything. Talk about boost in faith. You will find that you don't even have to think about it, you just believe what you're praying. Amen Praise The Lord!

John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.

God bless you and your family.     Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

True Faith Not Easy

Romans 10:17, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Today may be a surprise to you. You will find out the whole story about what happens when you are saved. For starters, accepting Jesus as your personal Savior and repenting of your sins, is just the beginning.

I am not saying you have to do certain things or you will lose salvation. If you accept Jesus and forgiveness with all your heart, you will not lose salvation. I am saying that in order to grow in your faith it takes time, persistence, and work.

God has a purpose for each of us. We get to know His purpose for us, by building a relationship with Him. One of the things we must do is to get to know Him through His Word.

Matthew 7: 7, Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be open to you.

If we don't know who God is, or what He expects and requires of us, how can we grow? If we don't grow, how can we receive all of the blessings God has for us?

While it is true salvation is not earned, in order to grow in that faith it does require work. When you read the Bible, you will see that God's people suffered, had doubts, we're forgiven, and we're blessed. The heroes in the Bible probably suffered the most. That is how their faith grew.

We are living in a fallen world. Most people are under satan's thumb, and he tries every lie and trick he knows in order to get the rest of us. In a way it is a war between the people of God, and the evil one satan.

No life is a free ride. Expect obstacles, hardship, and so on. Everyday,  call on God to give you strength and victory. He will hear you and help you. Nothing is impossible for God and those who love Him. We are fighting for The Greatest Prize ever, eternity with God. His Word says we win. Read the book of Revelation.

Matthew 21:22, and whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
