Jesus Knows Best

Philippians 4:19, And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:5, let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

If you are like most people, you worry about everything. You live in fear about all of the things that you encounter in your life that shake your comfort zone. Have you ever noticed that about 90% of what you worry about never happens, and the fact that you cannot change the other 10%. Why is that do you suppose?

When you are saved, Jesus and the Holy Spirit came to live with you. Jesus had a plan for your life, even before you were born. He wants you with Him for all eternity, so He guides your life and helps you in the way you should go.

Life can be compared to an education. You start out in kindergarten and learn and grow. The rest of your life tests are common. We pass or fail, by what we put into it. Success and failure each have their consequences.

In school, you have access to a teacher who will explain whatever it is you don't understand, if you ask. You believe are not at your peril. At some point you finish your formal education, and you go out in the world to put what you learned into practice.

Jesus is our lifetime teacher. He guides us through the Bible through the work of the Holy Spirit. He loves us, and promises to help us, and take care of us. He has the answers for us, that are perfect for us. When you have Jesus plan, and the power of the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you, you will be a success in God's eyes and be rewarded according to His love and grace. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

A New Man

2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed away, and see, the new has come.

This message is written to provide some little-known truths that many people really need to hear. It came about because many people believe their sins are beyond forgiveness. Many still aren't aware of how salvation comes about.

Ephesians 2: 8-9, For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's Gift-not from works, so that no one can boast.

Acts 4:12, There is salvation and no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to People by which we must be saved.

Contrary to what many people believe about sin, God's Word tells us how God feels about it. Realize this, God will forgive anyone who truly repents. If you committed sin your whole life, even the worst possible sins, Jesus is willing to overlook all of them and forgive if you sincerely repent.

1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Acts 3:19, Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out.

Jesus' blood was spilled at the crucifixion, so that sins would be washed away. Those sins were for the past, present, and future.

Matthew 26 27-28, Jesus took a cup and after giving thanks, He gave it to them and said, drink from it, all of you.  This is my blood of the Covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

When a person is saved, he becomes a new person in Jesus Christ. The old person and all of the old sins are gone, and a new person, a person who is righteous in Jesus is born. You are seen as not guilty by Jesus.

Colossians 3:9-10, Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your creator.

There is a little more to this brief explanation. If you want to reap the benefits of a child of God, you must forgive yourself, and step into a glorious new life with Jesus.

The Word is true, inspiring, and leads us to a Wonderful Life serving God. The trick is we must live what the Word says. God sent the Holy Spirit to help us do that. The Holy Spirit will never let you down, just ask and believe. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Effective Prayer

Philippians 4:6-7, Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and Minds in Christ Jesus.

This verse tells us about what I referred to as a petition. A petition in my experience is the most powerful prayer there is. I have known people who have used this process of praying, and have seen the results in their petitions, and in the ones, I have written over the years.

The first thing we should do is talk to the Holy Spirit about our request. Ask Him for the words, and the faith to believe. He will help you every single time.

Romans 8:26, In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Approach God Almighty with your request. I like to think in terms I can easily recognize. Suppose you are an attorney representing a client. God Almighty is the judge. He has a hand-picked jury. God and the jury are always on the side of truth and justice. Unlike an earthly judge and jury, they easily detect false testimony.

Just as an earthly court, decides the merits of a case by written law, the Heavenly courts judge by God's law. When you go to the Heavenly Court, you must believe that the verdict is fair, regardless of the outcome.

You present your case by citing the words of God's law. Then you state your case as it lines up with God's law. Don't ramble, just speak the truth, and believe in the court as being fair and just. You must be honest and believe you'll get a decision in your favor. You have the advantage in the Heavenly court, because Jesus is your advocate.

Hebrews 4: 16, Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find Grace to help us in our time of need.

Matthew 21:22, And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for-believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

One final thought, if you do not have a clean heart, you are wasting your time and effort. Repent first, then approach the Holy Spirit for help. He will guide you from there. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Blessings

1 Thessalonians 5:18, In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Philippians 2:14-16, Do all things without complaining and disputing. That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

For several years now, my faith has been severely tested on a number of occasions. Between most of the media, and many politicians, our country was being divided, and God was systematically being taken from our lives. Hate and fear took over our country.

There were many times it was hard to remember that God was allowing all of this to happen. I found myself getting angry and depressed, and just short of feeling hatred toward the people in the news.

There is a God for sure. He showed me grace and mercy, by showing me, that no matter how things look, He is in charge. I started to really dwell on that, and I found peace. The world is in a pandemic right now. This is the type of thing that brings out the best in some people and the worst in others. It is our God's job to judge, reward, or punish, in His time. It is none of our business. He made me see that.

Most of us have to make sacrifices. We as a people born in the US by God's grace have not had to do that very often. We cannot design a perfect life for ourselves, because God is in charge. He gave us what we have, and we must realize that. Before we grumble or complain about anything, we should think about how well-off we are, compared to most people. God created us, so He gets to decide how and where we live. Our lives, good or bad is not because of what we did, or didn't do. It is according to His plan, for us to get to the point of salvation, and eternity with Him. When all of this is over, it will be what God planned, and rest assured we will be much better off in some way.  God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Are You Refind

Philippians 4: 11-13, I don't say this out of need for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I find myself. I know both how to make do with little, and I know how to make do with a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content-whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.

This may seem like a puzzling title for a message, but the meaning will become clear very soon. Our title verse gives the first hint. Life is uncertain and filled with problems of all sorts.

1 Peter 1:6-7, You rejoice in this, even though now for a short time, if necessary, you suffer grief in various trials so that the proven character of your faith -more valuable than gold, which though perishable is refined by fire-may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Almighty God created everything including the universe for Himself, including man. The universe as a whole is constantly changing through all sorts of upheaval people. All of these changes, some of which are catastrophic, are basically adjustments to creation, that became necessary when man sinned.

Man was created perfect but lost that perfection because of sin. Man went against his creator and did things that caused a wider gap between the Creator and the created.

God didn't want to give up on man, so God tried to get man back on track by subtle means. Finally, God thought it would be better to start over. He sent a worldwide flood to destroy everyone except the one person and his family that trusted God and lived according to his will.

After the flood, it didn't take man long to get back to his sinful ways. Then God sent prophets to teach everyone in the way that they should go. The prophets told people what God said, but the people didn't want to hear it. so, they killed the prophets.

Since man was so evil, he had no way to earn forgiveness even if he wanted to. At that point God sent His Son, Jesus to teach everyone who would listen, and died to provide forgiveness. They killed Jesus too.

The Apostles of Jesus wrote all about what Jesus taught. The New Testament was inspired by the Holy Spirit and was passed on to believers. It was in fact like an instruction book and a map to get to Heaven for those who accepted Jesus as Savior.

Job 23:19, Yet he knows the way I have taken, when he has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.

In today's world, man is just as bad or worse. Words are no longer worth anything. God judges by what is in the heart. Life is a series of tests and trials that seem to come at the worst possible time in our opinion. We are tested all through life, the way gold is refined many times to achieve maximum purity.

We can choose Jesus and be refined or reject Him and be condemned for all eternity. By the way, we are tested more, because we have a free will, and God wants the real thing. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Trust In Truth

Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

In the world today, we see an overwhelming number of people who live in fear. People seem to be at such a level of fear, that they cannot function properly.

The big reason for all of the fear is the fact that most everyone in power is pushing power and control of people. Lies have reached such a level that lies are all you hear.

Proverbs 12: 22, lying lips are detestable to the Lord, but faithful people are His delight.

If people can be coerced by lies and threats, they can be controlled. Lies have been told with such phony sincerity, so often, that it gets harder to detect them. Lies disguised as something good are more common than anyone realizes. For peace of mind in this world, we must turn to God. I personally read Psalm 91 every day. I count on what it says. They are the Words of God.

Psalm 91 mentions pestilence, plague, destruction, and all forms of evil. It tells us that whatever happens God is watching out for us. There is a good example of God's protection in verse 4.

He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be your shield and Buckler.

If you ever saw a mother bird wrap her wings around her young one to protect it, you will understand this verse.

There are plenty of examples in the Bible to back up Psalm 91. Noah and his family, Lot and his family, the Hebrews in Egypt during the 10 plagues, to name a few.  Ask yourself this question. What can I lose believing and trusting in God?  What can I gain from believing and trusting God?

My friends, the only way to peace in your heart is through Jesus. God is allowing all that is happening for His perfect plan. The Bible says that all who go to hell will know they belong there. Trust in God!

John 8:31-32, Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, if you continue in My word, you really are My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Bible Confirmation

Isaiah 54:10, For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Job 1:21, Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.

Habakkuk 3:17-19, Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit beyond the vines, though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no fruit, though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls-yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will join in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, he will make my feet like gears, and he will make me walk on my high hills.

It is amazing to me, that there are so many verses, over hundreds of years, and many authors, that confirm each other. As we read the Bible, we see how God returns our love, God loved us even before we were created, and shows that love regardless of how we are.

As you can see in today's example; Isaiah says to what extent he loves and trusts God, Job realizes that God allows good and bad in our lives. Job also finds out that God is a rewarder of those who love and trust Hin. We get the idea from Habakkuk that God is all that matters.

The Bible is a treasure trove for those who seek with all their hearts. Faith grows, salvation by grace of God, and everything in life is put in perspective. Just as gold and silver must be refined a number of times to get maximum purity, we do too. Life is a test. We are constantly being refined by God in order to get us in the condition we are fit for Heaven where only what is pure can live. We eventually get to that point because we become righteous through Jesus at salvation.  God bless you and your family.

A True Test

Habakkuk 3:17-19

though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines

though the labor of the olives may fail, and the fields yield no food.

though the flock may be cut off from the fold,

and there be no herd in the stalls

yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

You might be saying to yourself, what has this verse got to do with me? If you read the Bible, you probably see Job's dilemma in this, and think it only applied to him. Let's get a reality check here.

When you look at current events, you can see the world in chaos. You see the best and the worst in people. They are all reacting to the virus and the financial problems. Their way of life is turned upside down, and fear reigns supreme.

The big lesson people are learning, is that you can't count on anything. They don't know what to do. Fear and panic took over in an unbelievably huge way. People are hoarding, stores are price gouging, and looking for ways to take advantage of others, in order to take care of themselves.

This whole situation came about by satan's actions. Spreading fear, hate, and corruption, is what he is all about. He manipulates hearts and minds in an effort to make everyone believe there is no God.

Think about this. If everyone went on living a normal life, there would be no panic. An average of 36,000 people die from the flu in the US every year. You never even notice. Why? If people didn't panic, the stock market would be stable, and millions of jobs would not be lost. That's the way it is during the flu epidemic every year so what's the difference? Here's something to think about.

Philippians 4:19, and my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

There are many Christians in the world that did not fall for all of this panic and fear. Why? Because they realize that God is in charge. He allows things to happen so that we can see where we stand.

Hardship makes us see who we really are. Do we realize that God is our provider? Do we realize how much He loves us? Is God more important than stuff? The truth is whatever is taken from us doesn't matter. God can never be taken from us, so as a result we have nothing to fear.

If you do not have God in your life, consider the following: what you see in the world today, will be the good old days, when the book of Revelation is fulfilled. These days are a warning. We still have time for salvation. When we get to the last days however, and we will, it will be too late. If that isn't a sobering thought, you'd better rethink your position with the Lord. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday (Reassurance)

Psalm 23:1-4

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He leads me to lie down in green pastures

He restores my soul

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

for His namesake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley

of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me,

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

I was reading this Psalm the other day, and something I heard a long time ago came to mind. A friend and I were talking about Psalm 23 and the nature of sheep. Sheep are easily frightened. The least thing makes them panic and start to run. However, when the shepherd is around, they relax. They instinctively know that the shepherd will protect them, feed them, give them water, and take care of them at all times.

If you try to imagine yourself in a situation like the sheep, where someone provides for you the way the Shepherd provides for the sheep, how peaceful would your life be? Total comfort and well-being would probably be your answer.

Okay. We know that the shepherd represents Jesus, and the sheep represent us. God does take care of us, and provides for us, according to his riches in Heaven. He loves us with no limit or conditions. You can imagine how a sheep feels being carried on the shoulders of the shepherd in total safety, imagine yourself being carried on God's broad shoulders.

The Bible is full of verses and stories about how God loves us, carries us, and blesses us. As I write this message, I am reminded about Psalm 91 and the similarity and thought to Psalm 23. Attached is a copy of Psalm 91. See what you think. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Fear, Panic, Or Not

Philippians 4:6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

As most people know by now, the world is in crisis. Fear and panic seem to be the order of the day for most people. Comfortable lives have been turned upside down, and people who thought they were in control and secure, had an awakening they never expected.

Events like we are experiencing brings out the best and worst in people. The majority of people unfortunately care only about themselves. They hoard, cheat, or steel, whatever they think they need, with no regard for other's needs.

Fear and panic created many problems. Stock markets go down, and life savings evaporate. Thousands of jobs are lost, businesses are closed, and people are ruined. Leaders make bad decisions that are influenced by their own fear, or by pressure from others.

The truth is, if people and governments would turn to God, none of this would happen. What I mean by that is people would be led to do the right thing. I repeat, none of this had to happen. Companies that were doing business didn't change, greed and fear caused financial panic. Rejection of God opened the door for the devil. Get the idea?

Stores were being restocked as usual, but hoarding, and panic buying created shortages. This in turn caused even more shortages. People lost all, common sense. The world displays what happens when people reject God. When people know God and trust Him, their hearts are at peace, and they make good decisions.

How would the world be if all of our leaders knew God, and followed the Bible? I guess you could say that would be Heaven, and we are not there yet. It is up to believers to pray for this world, and our fellow citizens, and beg God for forgiveness so that this whole catastrophe will come to an end by the will of God and His mercy. God bless you and your family.

A New Beginning

Isaiah 43:18-19, Do not remember the past events, pay no attention to things of old. Look, I am about to do something new, even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

Well, my friends, we are once again going into a new year. Many people are happy that the old year and its problems are behind us. Is it really A new beginning? Let's examine this from a few different perspectives.

Take a good long look at the past year. If you are honest about it, there have been examples of God working in your life. If you know and love God, you count it all as blessings, because even in tough times, God is preparing us for what He wants us to do. Praise God for all of it, no matter what it looks like, because it is His plan.

Jeremiah 29:11, for I know the plans I have for you-this is the Lord's declaration, -plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

A new year is what some people think is a fresh start. A chance to correct past mistakes. The only problem with that is, we take all of us and our faults and missteps with us. We invariably follow a very human trait of repeating the same mistakes that got us where we are.

There's an old line that says, things will not change until man changes. Almost everyone thinks that something went wrong because those who came before, did it wrong. So they do the same dumb thing that was done in the past, expecting a different outcome. Good luck with that.

Ezekiel 11:19, I will give them Integrity of heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh.

There is a way each of us can have a new beginning. It isn't based on what the calendar says, it is what our heart says. We were all born with a feeling of something missing in our lives. Many people look to fill that empty feeling by pursuing the things of the world. satan steps in and Ups his game. He introduces people to lust, greed, and all sorts of evil. They receive temporary pleasure, then they need even more evil when the temporary pleasure disappoints.

There's only one true way to lasting happiness, and that is through Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with a new year, or a new place to live, a new job, or anything like that. The truth is knowing how much God loves us, and what Jesus did for us that is the key. Because God gave us the Holy Spirit, and free will, we choose. We can follow God’s perfect plan for us or not.

John 4: 6, Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.

The Holy Spirit will teach, help, and guide us in the way we should go. We are born in the spirit when we repent and accept Jesus as our savior. It really is a new beginning. Listening to the Holy Spirit always produces good in some way. Not listening produces disaster. Learn from past mistakes, don’t repeat them.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only You.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Is Wisdom Late

Proverbs 19:20, Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life.

You are never too old to learn. Sometimes wisdom does in fact come with old age. Sometimes it arrives at a time you would least expect, like when you are relaxing and not actively thinking.

I had such an experience the other day. Allow me to set the background first. Have you ever noticed how often a person has an occupation or business that a father or family member had? It's the same thing with jobs, education, Etc.

I used to think about people that received real guidance in early life. I was raised by first-generation Americans who only knew how things worked in the old country. Get a job and keep it until you die.

While doing what I do best, relaxing, it popped into my head that I had a major failure in my lifetime, that caused my number one regret. When you are faced with something like that, you are faced with three options. You can try to forget it, rationalize it, or see if you can change going forward.

Now to the point. Many of you are in a position to avoid this regret. Please give serious thought to what I now tell you. You may not realize you are doing what I did.

When you become a parent, you have received someone who God expects you to care for according to His will. He wants each child to spend eternity with Him. Our job with guidance from the Holy Spirit, is to teach them who Jesus is, and to follow His word in the Bible.

Before you say the child is too young for the Bible, consider this. There are children's books of Bible stories. Read them to your children every day. Make sure you have family time, listen to what your children are saying, pray about it, and work with them on a solution.

Proverbs 22:6, start a youth out on his way, even when he grows old he will not depart from it.

As a child grows, they need constant guidance in spiritual and secular things that come up. Help them make life decisions, while not imposing your ideas on them.

Much of what your child will turn out to be, is determined by your example, not just words. Be prayerful and helpful. True success is not determined by position or finances. True success is living according to God's Will, and going back to Him, when He calls us home.

Ephesians 6 :4, fathers, don't stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Colossians 3: 21, fathers do not exasperate your children, so that they won't become discouraged.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Eternal Life

Galatians 6:8, for he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life.

John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

The subject of eternal life is by its nature, very difficult for most people to think about. Many avoid it because of fear of death, and the fact that they don't know if there is an afterlife, and if there is, where are they going. It is hard for some people to accept that they are mortal, and there is no escaping eternity.

Another outlook is one of total denial. Many people think that hell does not exist, and that everyone will go to Heaven. They choose to remain totally ignorant, or in denial about Jesus, because He is a hindrance to their lifestyle. Since they convince themselves that Jesus is that hindrance, they also convince themselves there are no consequence, therefore hell does not exist.

Then of course you have people that believe and say that God would not send anyone to hell, because He loves everybody. It's pretty interesting that they say that about a God they don't even know. If they did know Him, they would know how wrong they are because it is written in the Bible, which just happens to be the Word of God.

Maybe one of the biggest problems about eternity is the whole idea of it being forever, we as humans have no idea of what that means, because we have nothing to compare it to. Forever just boggles the brain, because most people are afraid of the unknown.

Well, the whole point is, you have a choice. Jesus gave you that choice. Follow Him, forget your ways, and end up in a glorious place forever. You can know that now if you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. There is nothing to fear, if you are on the right side of the question. Have a blessed day. Praise The Lord!
