Habakkuk 3:17-19
though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines
though the labor of the olives may fail, and the fields yield no food.
though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
and there be no herd in the stalls
yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
You might be saying to yourself, what has this verse got to do with me? If you read the Bible, you probably see Job's dilemma in this, and think it only applied to him. Let's get a reality check here.
When you look at current events, you can see the world in chaos. You see the best and the worst in people. They are all reacting to the virus and the financial problems. Their way of life is turned upside down, and fear reigns supreme.
The big lesson people are learning, is that you can't count on anything. They don't know what to do. Fear and panic took over in an unbelievably huge way. People are hoarding, stores are price gouging, and looking for ways to take advantage of others, in order to take care of themselves.
This whole situation came about by satan's actions. Spreading fear, hate, and corruption, is what he is all about. He manipulates hearts and minds in an effort to make everyone believe there is no God.
Think about this. If everyone went on living a normal life, there would be no panic. An average of 36,000 people die from the flu in the US every year. You never even notice. Why? If people didn't panic, the stock market would be stable, and millions of jobs would not be lost. That's the way it is during the flu epidemic every year so what's the difference? Here's something to think about.
Philippians 4:19, and my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
There are many Christians in the world that did not fall for all of this panic and fear. Why? Because they realize that God is in charge. He allows things to happen so that we can see where we stand.
Hardship makes us see who we really are. Do we realize that God is our provider? Do we realize how much He loves us? Is God more important than stuff? The truth is whatever is taken from us doesn't matter. God can never be taken from us, so as a result we have nothing to fear.
If you do not have God in your life, consider the following: what you see in the world today, will be the good old days, when the book of Revelation is fulfilled. These days are a warning. We still have time for salvation. When we get to the last days however, and we will, it will be too late. If that isn't a sobering thought, you'd better rethink your position with the Lord. God bless you and your family.
Praise The Lord!
