The Presence Of God

Psalm 19:1, The Heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of His hands.

When we look around us, it is not hard to realize that the world is filled with the presence of almighty God. If God is everywhere, how can there be such chaos?

Psalm 145: 18, The Lord is near all who call out to Him, all who call out to him with integrity.

A True Believer focuses on God and His love and power in our lives. All through the Bible we witness chaos, and people who walked with God. You will also notice that none of the people chosen by God to lead His people was perfect. Everyone, including the apostles were flawed in some way.

It should be a comfort to realize that no matter how flawed we are, we can serve God, and walk in His presence. Remember, this world is temporary, but spiritual life is eternal.

Jeremiah 29:13, You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

Revelation 3:20, see I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My Voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with Me...

I can assure you from personal experiences, that trusting in God, and following Him, circumstances will work for your benefit. So how do you get to that point? Believe the verses in this message to start with.

No sincere prayer goes unanswered, never. Prayers are answered for our benefit, usually better than we ask in the first place. The hard part for most people is it all depends on God's timing.

I have an example of what I am saying that just happened. My doctor sent me paperwork to get a CAT scan. On Friday my wife called for an appointment, as she had done a number of times. The hospital said the order was wrong. After several calls between my wife, the hospital, and the doctor's office, nothing was resolved.

On Monday the doctor's nurse called to tell me that she had made an appointment for the scan, on a day, and at a time, I would not have picked, but I thanked her anyway.

First thing I thought was that God picked the time, and the people I would encounter. I went on the day and time specified. All I can honestly say is, if someone offered me a million dollars to make that visit better, I could not. Praise the Lord!

This experience that I just related to you is not unusual. I am sure that if you look at instances in the recent past in your own life, you can find similar things. Even if you don't know the Lord right now, He is still working in your life trying to get you to notice Him. Don't forget you must invite Him into your life, because He will not impose Himself on anyone.

Proverbs 3:5 - 6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

My Time with Jesus Tuesday

A Guarantee

Romans 15:13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe.

If you ask the average person about what helps them determine which product to buy, you will probably hear a few different reasons. Most people are concerned about guarantees, warranties, and the reputation of the manufacturer and or the seller.

Most people will shy away from a product they do not know. When you spend your money on an unknown, you risk losing more than you can afford. That is a wise way to look at it.

You have probably heard someone say that you should trust in the Lord. Put all your cares on Him. Follow God's plan for you.

1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your cares on Him, because He cares about you.

All of these words sound good, but are they? The answer is simple. If you know who God is, and what He did, it isn't that difficult. Let me explain.

If you know Jesus, you know the Father. You get to know Jesus from the Word of God, the Bible. I must stress knowing who He is, is critical. Just knowing that He exists, does not cut it.

John 10:30, I and the Father are one.  God has a perfect plan for each of us. The Father gave His Son Jesus to forgive our sins by shedding His blood on the cross. When we accept Jesus as our Savior by confessing our sins and asking Him to come into our hearts, we receive the Holy Spirit.

So, let's recap. God created us, and He has the perfect plan for each of us. Jesus came and died in order for us to be forgiven of all of our sins. The Holy Spirit came to us as a helper sent by God. He is to help us, teach us, and guide us in the will of God, for our good. It is all written in the Bible, A guarantee from God.

1 Corinthians 6 19, don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

This is how it works and will work for you. First of all, know in your heart that whatever you see or hear in life is allowed by God, because it is all a part of His master plan. Do not doubt it for a second. It does take prayer and effort, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to achieve that level in your faith life.

Always put everything in the hands of the Holy Spirit every morning. I ask Him to teach, help, and guide me in God's plan for me.

I have learned over the years that the Holy Spirit does help, guide, and teach. Sometimes my plans change as the day goes on, but they're always for the best.

I've also learned that if I am following the Holy Spirit everything goes well. If things seem to be going wrong, I stop and wait. God's timing is crucial. If something doesn't go the way I want, waiting on God proves to benefit me, because I avoid many big mistakes. I learned that the hard way.

Life is like a budget my friends. You have an unknown number of days, so you must spend them wisely, and reap the blessings and grace of God.

Psalm 27: 14. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the Lord.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord.

A Possible Bright Spot

2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people were called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

After living on this earth many, many years, I sometimes remember when I was much younger. Many people call it the good old days. I will try to make an honest comparison with today, just the facts, and nothing but the facts.

When I was in high school, the number one crime committed by a student was smoking tobacco.  If a person was real delinquent, he drank beer behind the school, or in a secluded spot outside of school.

If a girl or woman got pregnant and was not married, it was a disgrace that stuck with her for life.  If she was foolish enough to get an abortion, she literally took her life in her own hands. Abortion was illegal and performed by people who were more like butchers.

Homosexuality was not only illegal, but it was also a disgrace. Transgender people were pretty much unknown, and there was no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage was between a man and a woman. No one questioned their gender.

The media and regular people couldn't help but lie, so we were taught that you can't believe what you hear or read.  Today it is mostly hated, and fear that you see and hear. The goal seems to be to destroy other people in every way, and if possible, destroy the country. I guess you can see what I am getting at. The country and the world keep looking for and finding ways to reject Jesus and slap Him in the face.

Now for the possible bright spot. If enough good people get sick and tired of all this evil, they will start and stay with our opening verse until it happens. One last thing whether people believe in God, Heaven, or hell, it is what God thinks that counts. We are warned in the Bible, he who has ears let him hear, he who has eyes, let him see. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for better!

2 Timothy 3:1-5, For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away.

Jesus Birthday

Matthew 1:18-2: 12, The birth of Jesus Christ came about this way. After His mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, it was discovered before they came together that she was pregnant from the Holy Spirit. So, her husband Joseph, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her publicly, decided to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered these things an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying, Joseph's son of David doesn't be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.

Know all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophets. See the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son and they will call His name Immanuel which is translated God is with us. When Joseph woke up, he did as The Lord's Angel has commanded him. He married her but did not have sexual relations with her until after she gave birth to a son. And he named Him Jesus.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, wise men from the East arrived in Jerusalem saying where is he who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw his star at its rising and have come to worship Him. When King Herod heard this, he was deeply disturbed and all Jerusalem with him. So, he assembled all the chief priests and scribes as a people and asked them where the Christ would be born... In Bethlehem of Judea, they told him because this is what was written by the prophet. And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah because out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd My people Israel

Then Herod secretly summons the wise men and asks them the exact time the star appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said go and search carefully for the child. When you find him, report back to me so that I too can go and worship him. After hearing the king, they went on their way. And there it was-the star they had seen at its rising. It' led them until it came and stopped above the place where the child was. When they saw this star, they were overwhelmed with joy. Entering the house they saw the child with Mary His Mother, and falling to their knees, they worshipped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to go back to Herod they returned to their own country by another route.

Christmas is the birthday of Jesus. It is sad to say that Jesus' birthday was pretty much ignored by most people ever since we began celebrating what came to be known as Christmas.

At some point, I don't know when, someone took the part of the Nativity Story that mentioned the wise men bringing gifts to Jesus and thought it would be nice to give a gift to a loved one.

Well then, the idea really took off, and Christmas turned into a frenzy of gift-giving. Many businesses made most of their profits at Christmas. Almost everyone was happy. Christmas carols were heard in every store. All was right with the world.

Think about this. God our Father, the creator of the universe and everything in it, realized that His creation, man, was in danger of an eternity without Him. There was no way meant for a man to earn forgiveness for his sins.

God decided that the only way a man could be saved was through His only son Jesus. So, Jesus agreed to come here, in what amounted to a rescue mission. The whole purpose was to teach men about God and give man a chance for salvation.

When Jesus began His public life, He was persecuted and hated by many. He tried to teach love, kindness, and doing for others. He was a sinless example. The unbelievable facts about it all is, Jesus knew how people would treat Him, and about the savage way He would die. He loved us anyway.

By Jesus' death and resurrection, He gave man the gift of forgiveness, and the chance to choose eternal life with Him. In spite of all of that, He is hated more now than He was then. It seems that the goal of society today is to not only hate Him but do all kinds of evil against Him. The cancel culture canceled the ultimate, they canceled Jesus.

We as Christians today, must do everything we can, to put Hm as number one in our lives, and to tell others about Him. Prayer is a powerful weapon against evil. Read His word and live it. Jesus defeated satan at the cross and with His resurrection. What that means is, we do not have to follow satan.

Let us all take Jesus' birthday and start living according to His plan for our lives. Make the sacrifice that God made by giving us His Son, and Jesus' rescue mission, mean something. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Access To The Power

Romans 8:26-28 tells us, likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

As most Christians know, we can do nothing on our own. God did however provide a way for all of us to get what we need, or desire. That way is Jesus Christ. When we confess our sins, and accept Jesus as our Savior, the way is open

As you probably realize by now, there is a little more to getting prayers answered then wishing. Picture an electric panel with many circuit breakers. One for each room.  Now imagine satan with a big bag full of circuit breakers. He knows that God is the source of power, and that power runs through you, to the expected outcome. He tries to insert a breaker in that powerline to stop the power. You can stop him cold if you know how. John 15:7 says, if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. When you realize the truth of this last statement, you can tell satan to leave in Jesus name, and the power of the Holy Spirit will make him flee.

As the Bible says, the closer you are to Jesus, the closer He will get to you. And with that relationship the power becomes more secure. If you really know who Jesus is and what He did, you will know that in Jesus name, the Holy Spirit acts to fulfill Jesus promises to you. For instance, if you pray for a healing for someone in Jesus name, and believe the outcome, the Holy Spirit makes it happen. There is no doubt about that. God bless you and your family.

The Power of Commitment

It is written, Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

A number of people I know, thank God every morning when they wake up. They thank Him for another day and whatever it brings. A few ask God to help them during the day. All of this is good and should be done every day.

A couple of thoughts occurred to me about each day we live. Most of us ask God for help of some sort, every time we pray. The Bible tells us that God wants to help us and is always there for us.

Consider one or both of the following suggestions. Tell God thank you for the day and ask Him how you can serve Him that day. After all, we're supposed to love and serve Him with all of our hearts.

The other suggestion is, tell the Lord that you commit the day to Him, for the purpose of following His plan for your life. Thank Him for everything that will occur during that day because you trust Him. At that point, throw yourself into fulfilling that commitment.

Whatever you decide to do, it is a step in the right direction. Do it with all your heart, and God will make everything known to you, and help you in all things. We should all show gratitude to God for all the blessings He continues to give us, and one of the best ways to do that is to make a commitment to serve Him each and every day and give it everything you have in you. The Holy Spirit will help you fulfill whatever commitment you make, so treat it seriously. God bless you and your family.

Sharing The Word

2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

When the average person finds Jesus, and is saved, he or she usually wants to serve God in some special way. Believe it or not, becoming overanxious about doing God's will, is a waste of time, and not what God wants for you. You should pray about what His plan is for you, rather than compare yourself to someone you think is really serving God. Such an example would be a preacher and a large church. The person you are trying to emulate is doing God's plan for him or her. You have your own plan from God.

God has a job for each of His children. Most of the jobs are not high profile, but ordinary tasks for ordinary people. That does not mean that they are not just as important in God's eyes; He sees the heart.

When Jesus was talking to His disciples just before He ascended to Heaven, He told them to take the word to all people among other things. He was talking to ordinary people. If you read Galatians 5:22-24, you have instructions from the Lord himself on how to be an example to everyone you meet. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit when you are saved. In this way, you are planting seeds of salvation that the Holy Spirit will make grow.

By following what it says in Galatians chapter 5, you are also fulfilling what it says in James 1:22-23, but be doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; he observes himself, goes away and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

To make a long story short, as the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words. When you follow your faith with actions, you are doing more to preach the Word of God than you think. If you keep praying, God will let you know if He wants you to do more, or something else. God bless you and your family.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

You Are Precious

Romans 5:8, but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

As I was having my private time with the Lord this morning, I told Him that I was disappointed that I was doing so little for Him. I told Him that I often feel like a fake Christian.

At that point I sat back quietly and waited for His voice. As I sat waiting, my mind was thinking about today's verse. At that point my whole life, going all the way back to when I was a child came to my mind. I recalled all of the times in my life that I did not do as I should have. I saw all of the opportunities that I missed. Those opportunities I now realize where to find the Lord.

I still recall that a large part of my life included many hardships over a number of years. I somehow managed to get through them all. I didn't blame God, because God was not a part of my life.  For some reason though, I did see how God was always there for me, even though I did not acknowledge Him.

Today I am many, many years older. I have found the Lord, and I want only to serve. I want everyone to know Him, so I ask Him every day how I can serve. The part that is hard to remember or realize, is the fact that God has a plan for each of us. When we wait for God's timing, we will serve Him. We must also consider this fact. If we treat others as Jesus did, and reflect His life to others, we just might be living the plan that God had for us to begin with. Talk to God every day. Live according to His Word, and His plan for you will come to pass. You need not feel like a fake Christian if you follow the word.

John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Keep that truth in your mind at all times. God knows who you are, and what is in your heart. Just trust Him, and don't worry, the Holy Spirit will show you the path and open your eyes and heart. God bless you and your family.

Irrational Fear

Isaiah 41:10, fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 56:3, whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.

2 Timothy 1:7, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and obey sound mind.

If you asked me for the definition of fear, I would tell you it is one of satan's favorite tools. Fear has a tendency to bring out the worst in most people. You only have to look around at what is going on with the current pandemic. People realize they have no control, so they panic, and they start hoarding everything that they think they will need, with no regard for the needs of other people.

When people start seeing store shelves getting empty, they start hoarding too. There have even been fights over a package of toilet paper. As time goes on, it looks as if people are losing their minds. satan throws more gasoline on the fire, to incite people to hate and violence.

Let's look at what should be reality. Except for yet another sickness, everything is normal. No one is using more toilet paper. Companies are not making less. It is a shortage created by fear. If people would operate with common sense, the pandemic does not spread and dies out.

People who trust in God, realize that He is in control, and they do not have to worry. They realize that the media is being controlled by satan, and they are the biggest part of the problem as far as spreading fear and hate. If you trust in God, you can have peace in your heart through Jesus and what He did for us on the cross. Salvation was made possible for us by what He did. Every word in the Bible is true, and there are countless verses that tell us how much God loves us and will take care of us.

I have a suggestion for getting through this trial... Just trust in the Lord, pray for this pestilence to go away, and that people get some type of rational behavior. Pray for those who spread hate and fear. Prayer my friends is the most powerful weapon in the world and is a direct line to the ruler of the universe, Almighty God himself. God bless you and your family.

Self-Acceptance

Genesis 1:27, so God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them

1 Samuel 16:7, but the Lord said to Samuel, do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Today the message is about something that many of us have wrestled with. The problem is self-acceptance. Many people are unhappy about how they look. They spend plenty of time and money to alter their appearance. Most of the time, they are still unhappy.

We go through a never-ending cycle of torture, usually trying to be like someone else. We compare looks, talent, education, jobs, income, and the list goes on. Everyone trying to be like everyone else in some way. There is no way anyone gets real happiness with themselves, doing it that way.

God created us to be who we are. Our looks, talent, and so on. He did it because He had a special plan for each of us. We don't have to know why we are who we are, we just have to trust. When we are unhappy with our lot in life, it is as though we are telling God that He messed up when He created us. Remember this. God searches the heart. That is what we must pay attention to. Praise Him for who and what you are, and He will take care of you. I guarantee if you praise God for who you are and thank Him, your life will be worthwhile. God bless you and your family.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

God Is Here

Psalm 145:18-21 tells us, the Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desires of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The Lord preserves all who love Him but all the wicked He will destroy.

Have you ever felt alone, and that God was a great distance away? Let us look at this. The Bible, which is the Word of God, says God is always with us. Jesus is called Emmanuel, which is translated God with us.

So if the Bible says God is always with us, and the Bible says God cannot lie, it stands to reason that God is always here. So where's the problem? If God is not with us, how can this be true. We must look elsewhere for the answer. Let's start with ourselves. Take a good honest look at yourself.

How much time do you spend seeking the Lord? How often do you think about Him? Do you thank Him for being alive, and all of the blessings in your life? The answer always comes up the same God did not abandon us, we abandoned Him.

It is not uncommon to feel that God has abandoned you. I have been there. But as I said, the solution is simple. You will find out that when you feel abandoned if you turn to the Bible and start to read the Word of God, the feeling of abandonment will go away. When the Bible says, seek and you shall find, knock and the door it will be opened, it is definitely true. Try it and you'll see what I mean. God bless you and your family.

Power in Action

Matthew 17:20 tells us, so Jesus said to them, assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain. Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Everyone faces situations on a daily basis that have the potential of becoming unpleasant. Each incident can grow and become as an unconquerable mountain. Do you realize how big that mountain gets is determined by you?

Jesus spoke the words of the above verse as an example of the power of faith. While Jesus himself could move a real mountain, He knew we could not. The mountains therefore represent how big we make a lot of the problems that come up in our lives.

When we accept salvation, we receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts. The Holy Spirit is the power to act part of the Trinity. He was the power behind Jesus's miracles.

As we get to know God the father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, our faith will grow. We get to know them through the Bible, and by talking to them every day. When you do that, your faith can grow to the point where this next verse is a way of life. John 14:12-14 most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my father. And whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. God bless you and your family.

Tomorrow

Matthew 6 : 33 - 34,  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. Therefore, don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

It is the nature of human beings to worry about real or imagined problems. Our minds are working all of the time, even when we sleep. Stress and constant anxiety are a way of life for most people. God did not plan it that way. We have a choice.

1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your cares on him, because He cares about you.

It was God's plan to take care of His creation. Unfortunately, man has used his free will to make life the opposite of what God planned.

Philippians 4: 19, And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6: 26-26, Therefore I tell you. Don't worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothing? Consider the birds of the sky; they don't sell or reap or gather into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.

The Bible tells us hundreds of times about how God takes care of His creation. A perfect example is found in the book of Exodus. The people were fed, one day at a time. The wedding at Cana, Jesus didn't provide hundreds of gallons of wine, the water became wine as it was poured.

When we hear about the loaves and fish. There was no mountain of food. As the baskets were being emptied, they were being filled. When Jesus worked His healing miracles, people like the crippled man were not healed, until they did what you just said. “Get up and walk”.

Luke 12:25, Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?

Anyone can have peace of mind, if they use their free will the way God intended. It starts with making a choice to serve God, by repenting and proclaiming Jesus as your savior. That is the key to where you spend your next life, that will have no end.

1 John 2:25; And this is the promise that He himself made to us, eternal life.

When you choose Jesus as your savior and follow him according to his perfect plan for you, you will have a life of unlimited love, Grace, and blessings from almighty God. Remember, life was meant to live, one day at a time. The Bible tells us so. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

The Holy Spirit At Work

John 14:26, But the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you and remind you of everything I have told you.

Everyone receives the Holy Spirit when they are saved. What most people do not realize is that there is a step up with the Holy Spirit. Remember when Jesus was baptized? The Holy Spirit landed on Him in the form of a dove. Jesus performed His miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When the disciples were gathered after Jesus' resurrection, they heard the sound of a mighty rushing wind, and a tongue of fire landed on each one of them. The Holy Spirit came to them so they could follow the Great Commission and do Jesus' work.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11, A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good; to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, the gift of healing, to another the performing of miracles, to another prophecy, to another, distinguishing spirits, to another, different kinds of tongues, to another, interpretation of tongues. One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is done by Jesus, through the laying on of hands by a believer. As you can see, there are a number of gifts that most people are never moved to use. One of the most common of the gifts that is used is faith. When your faith grows, it can get to the point where the Holy Spirit chooses to use you for other things.

Think about this. Answered prayer requires faith. Faith allows the Holy Spirit to exercise tremendous power to answer each prayer. Praying for others is following Jesus Will. Faith is the key to everything we were put here to do. By our actions we can lead others to Jesus. We plant the seed, and the Holy Spirit makes it grow.

Romans 8:26-27, In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses, because we do not know what to pray for as we should. But the Spirit himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

For success in life, beyond your imagination, talk to the Holy Spirit, and follow his lead. One other thing. Many people say that they do not know how to pray. If you can talk or think, just tell the Holy Spirit what is in your heart. He will take what you say and turn it into a perfect prayer to our Father.

I guess if I have to sum it all up, you can have a fulfilling life here, and don't have to die to enjoy it.

Galatians 6 :9-10, Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

The Invitation

Matthew 22:8-10, then the king said to his servants, the wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. therefore, go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding. So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both good and bad. The wedding hall was filled with guests.

As I was relaxing with a cup of coffee, I was thinking about how blessed I am, and how gratitude to God was so impossible to show Him. At that point an example of sorts came to me, It does have a point.

Picture yourself as the lowliest of peasants. A real nobody working in a field with many other peasants. As everyone is working, an elegant carriage pulls up. Six especially well cared for horses are pulling it. A very distinguished, well-dressed looking man steps out of the carriage and walks over to you, and says that the king sent him to invite you to a feast at the palace. He also mentions that you are the guest of honor.

First of all, you would probably feel unworthy. Why me, you would probably say. After you get over the shock, you would probably be so excited, you would not know what to do.

The Almighty God Creator of the universe sent the Holy Spirit to invite you to His feast. He wants you to spend eternity with Him. All you have to do is accept the invitation. How do you show your gratitude? See what I mean? The fact of the matter is God is calling you specifically, by name. You are one of the few who will actually accept and spend eternity with Him, God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves You

Thanksgiving

John 9:25, He answered, whether or not he's a sinner, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind and now I can see!

As we celebrate this Thanksgiving with family and friends, we give thanks for each other, health, jobs, addition to family, and any number of the usual things. That is wonderful for sure, but I would like to remind you of some very important things to be thankful for, that are usually overlooked.

Ephesians 2: 8- 9, For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift-not from works, so that no man can boast.

Without a doubt, salvation should be at the top of the list. Stop for a moment to consider this. Out of all the people in this world, God drew you. He sent Jesus to die for you to pay a sin debt that none of us could ever pay. The whole idea was to allow you to spend eternal life with Him if you so choose. Yes, I said choose because you have to decide whether you want to accept Jesus as your savior.

James 1:17-18, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. by His own choice, He gave us birth by the word of Truth so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures.

John 14:6, Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 6:44, No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent me draws Him, and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:35, I am the bread of life, Jesus told them. No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever be thirsty again.

1 Corinthians 10:16, The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not sharing in the body of Christ?

As you can tell from these verses, we are talking about many gifts from God that are mainly spiritual. The thing that most people don't realize is that these spiritual gifts can be used in this physical world in the name of Jesus. When you stop to consider what salvation really means, you will realize it is the greatest gift of all.

By Jesus' broken body at the crucifixion we are healed. His blood washed away our sins. This is all written in the Bible which is the true word of God. By taking the bread and wine, we are receiving the healing of all our afflictions, and the forgiveness of all our sins.

Daily prayer is a privilege as well as a blessing. We speak to almighty God Himself, and He hears us. If you turn all your cares over to God in the name of Jesus Christ, you free your mind and your heart.        1 James 5:7, Casting all your cares on Him, because He cares about you.

By praising and thanking God always, we can live according to His perfect and best will for us.. If you stop and think about a life directed by the perfect love of your creator, everyday is Thanksgiving Day.  If everyone did that, we would have a perfect world. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Ephesians 2: 8-9, For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is God's Gift  not from works, so that no one can boast.

It is surprising and kind of sad at the same time that there are so many people who do not know if they are saved. They know they want to be, but they aren't sure. We will try to help you find out with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:9, If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

John 14: 6, Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

These verses tell you how to be saved. When you add the fact that each day brings you closer to a meeting with Jesus, the question takes on a sense of urgency.

When you say the Prayer of Salvation, it must be from your heart. Be honest about it with yourself. The Prayer of Salvation should not be said in an attempt to avoid hell. Believe it or not, that is what some people do.

There is only one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ. If anyone says anything else, it is a lie.

Acts 2:38, Peter replied, repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, you receive the Holy Spirit at the same time you accept Jesus as your Savior. The Holy Spirit will help you, teach you, guide you, and anything else you need to keep you in God's will.

Galatians 5:22 -23, But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

These fruits, as they are called, give you a very good set of guidelines that you can use to help you determine if you are on the right track. Another thing to always keep in mind, is that Jesus loves you unconditionally. If you sin, and we all do, hopefully only once in a while, He is quick to forgive.

Always talk to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Take an honest look at your lifestyle. If you do your best to stay on track, and before you do anything, ask yourself what Jesus would do; I don't think you will ever wonder if you are saved again. It is all about the heart.

Proverbs 4:23, Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Thoughts

Romans 8:5-8 tells us, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit, set their minds on the things of the spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Many people are concerned about the thoughts they have, because they regard some of them as sinful. Are they? Human beings have thoughts running through their brains night and day. Most of these are random. We cannot stop them. Random thoughts are not a sin, unless we pick out a thought or two and dwell on them consciously.

The other type of thoughts, are the ones we consciously choose. Whether they are thoughts about a certain person, thing, or situation, how we think about it is either sinful or not.

Fantasies for instance are more or less creative.: Daydreams are an example. Again, these can be sinful or not. If you feel overwhelmed by thoughts of any kind, just say Jesus help me. He will. Just remember, random thoughts are not usually sins. You have control of the rest, and are responsible for the things you think. If any thoughts go against the word God has written in the Bible, be very aware of where this can lead. Always keep these verses in mind, stay close to the Lord, and you'll be okay. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

What's This

Philippians 4:19 tells us, and my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Today I would like to bring up a topic that most people are not aware of. That topic is the perversion of blessings. Let me explain.

God our father is always giving us blessings. As a matter of fact there are so many blessings, that we don't even recognize them as such.

Let's take a simple blessing and go from there. Let's say that God gives you a taste for strawberry ice cream. You have some, and you really enjoy it. You know you should eat a moderate amount, once in a while. Well, something goes wrong. You start to have some every day. Soon that isn't enough, so the portions get bigger and bigger. You lose total control of a simple thing like ice cream. You put on weight, and you hate what you have done, but you can't stop. What is going on?

satan took a simple blessing from God, and turned it into a curse for you. He now has plenty to condemn you for, and it absolutely ruins what started out as a Blessing.  satan does this sort of thing all of the time. He finds our weak spots and capitalizes on our weaknesses. When you get to the point where we want more and more of something, to the point where we cannot control our urge for something, we have allowed satan to turn a blessing into a sin.

So what do we do? When we notice the first urge for more, regardless of what it is, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. He will help you conquer satan. Call on the name of Jesus every time you feel weak. Jesus and the Holy Spirit will never let you down. A blessing will always be a blessing that you can be grateful to God for. So be vigilant, and see what is going on. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Power in Action

Matthew 17:20 tells us, so Jesus said to them,  assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain. Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Everyone faces situations on a daily basis that have the potential of becoming unpleasant. Each incident can grow and become as unconquerable as a mountain.

He was the power behind Jesus miracles.

As we get to know God the father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, our faith will grow. We get to know them through the Bible, and by talking to them everyday .When you do that your faith can grow to the point where this next verse is a way of life. John 14:12-14, most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also;  and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my father. And whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it .God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Jeremiah 29:11, for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 8:28, and we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Ephesians 2:10, for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

1 Chronicles 16:11, seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually.

James 1:5, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Romans 12:2, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Philippians 4:19, and my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 41:10, fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

1 John 5:4, for everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.

Jeremiah 29:13, you will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Joshua 1:9, have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Be Content

Hebrews 13:5,  Keep your life free from the Love of money: be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.

In thinking about what we as humans have to think about, some rather interesting things came to mind. As usual, the Bible is the best place to get answers, and the Holy Spirit will show you where it is in the Bible

James: 13 - 17,  come now, you who say, today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit. Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring, what your life will be! For you are like a vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes. Instead, you should say, if the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that. But as it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So it is a shame to know what is good and yet not do it.

So how does this fit in? People make plans and decisions as though they will live forever. At one time I thought so too. Not in this life my friend. There is an old saying: “the best laid plans of mice and men”. The truth of this saying probably came from someone who understood what Jesus was teaching.

Proverbs 16:9, A person's heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps.

We Like to think that we are in control of our lives. We are not in control. Thousands of seemingly minor things happen all over the world, 24 hours a day, any one of which could trigger a disaster for you.

Luke 12 : 15, He told them, watch out and be on guard against all greed, because one's life is not in the abundance of his possessions.

It took many years for me doing it my way, to find out that the only real control I have, is to turn my life over to God almighty. He knows what will be best for me in this life, and get me to the right place in eternity.

When you put God in charge of your life, you don't have to worry about someone in the world sneezing, and your IRA goes down. You can spend your life enjoying life, or spend a miserable, useless life chasing an illusion. People have literally sacrificed their lives, families, and salvation by chasing the god of money.

There is nothing wrong with collecting something you like. Almost everyone collects something.  Beware that what you are collecting does not become so important to you it is as though it was a god. It may sound ridiculous but think about what is so precious to you, will be garbage to comes after you.

Proverbs 27:1, Don't boast about tomorrow , for you do not know what a day might bring.

It all boils down to this my friends. Whatever you strive for in life, it's one heartbeat away from belonging to someone else. and you don't know when that last heartbeat is, So be prepared. Make your number one objective, To find the Lord Jesus as your personal savior

Luke 12: 16- 21, Then Jesus told a parable. a rich man's land was very productive. He thought to himself, what should I do, since I don't have anywhere to store my crops? I will do this, he said. I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones and store all my grain and my goods there. Then I will say to myself, you have many goods stored up for many years. Take it easy, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself. But God said to him, you fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared - whose will  it be? That's how it is with the one who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.  God bless you and your family!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only You.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Fulfilled Life

Proverbs 1:1-7,  The Proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel : For Learning and wisdom, for understanding insightful sayings, for receiving prudent instruction in righteousness, justice, and integrity. For teaching shrewdness to the inexperienced, knowledge and discretion to a young man - let a wise person listen and increase learning. And let a discerning person obtain guidance, for understanding a proverb or a parable ,the words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and discipline.

You have more than likely heard someone say “if I knew you then”, or too bad you can't come back again knowing what you know now. Maybe you said it too.

Before we were created, God knew what each of us would do and have to deal with. Since God is fair and just, and because God gave us a free will, He decided to make help available if we need it.

God inspired the writers of the Bible to tell us about people and how they lived by giving us the records and teaching of the prophets. We know how the people reacted to the teachings. If you look at these people honestly, you can see we are a lot like them.

I believe God told Solomon to write the Proverbs to show us the way to a very satisfying life, and no regrets in old age. I have heard a few people on TV say that they are very successful and happy because they lived by the words of the proverbs. One guy said he read the entire Book of Proverbs before he leaves the house everyday.

Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. He wrote Ecclesiastes. when he got near the end of his life. He basically wrote the story of his life. The triumphs, the mistakes, most of all his regrets. He spoke of the futility of his life and accomplishments. All of his stuff, and he had it all, was nothing but disappointment to him.

All of us learn as we grow and get older, at least I hope we do. Proverbs and Ecclesiastes gives us a head start if we follow it. As Solomon said, there is nothing new Under the Sun.

History repeats itself, so by knowing history, we can avoid many pit falls. History isn't just countries, it is people too. As I have said to a number of people over the years. The wheel is round. You don't have to re - invent it.

Here is a good suggestion. Get a plain language Bible, and read 5 pages every day. God's message  will be known to you, because almighty God speaks to us through His word, the Bible. A good idea would be to start with Proverbs and follow it up with Ecclesiastes. If you study these two books, you will figure out ahead of time all the things you should avoid and the things you should do, so when you get old you won't have anywhere near as many regrets. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Each Day

Romans 8:28, tells us, and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

In our modern world, most people are so stressed out, they become ill, looking for a way out. What causes stress? What it all boils down to is, each of us causes our own stress. Before you write me off as a nut, read on.

I think most people would agree that we live in a world gone mad. Common sense and what we used to call fair play or truth, no longer exist. The majority of people, probably 90% or so, consider only themselves and what they think or do.

In light of all of this, how can anyone think or plan, even the rest of this day, or tomorrow. The number of variables makes your head spin. There is no logic to anything. It then stands to reason that stress is  related to the number of decisions we make, and how far into the future we make them.

The Bible says that God wants us to depend on Him, one day at a time. As a part of this, God has a custom plan for each of us, for our good. When we go to God, He knows everything, and He can make all of the pieces come together. We aren't able to do that. Fortunately for us, His plan is better than anything we can come up with.

By now you can probably see that the more decisions you make, the more liable you are to create stress for yourself, because you cannot see all the things that are working against you. If you get to know who God really is, you will begin to trust Him, and start leaving your plans in His hands so that He can guide you. Psalm 50:15 tells us, call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. God bless you and your family.

What Churches Are Teaching

Jermiah 3:15, I will give you the Shepherds who are loyal to me, and they will Shepherd you with knowledge and skill.

We are at a time when many people are asking if we are in the end times. They are afraid of what is going on in this world, and don't know what to do. Why is that?

Amos 8: 11 - 12, Look, the days are coming - this is the Declaration of the Lord God - when I will send a famine through the land-  not a famine of bread or of thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. People will stagger from sea to sea and roam from north to east seeking the word of the Lord, but they will not find it.

Isaiah 5:13, therefore my people will go into exile because they lack knowledge, her dignitaries are starving and her messages are parched with thirst.

Why were these verses written thousands of years ago? God knew before creation, what would happen in the future. God destroyed mankind once, but the descendants of Noah, started Evil all over again. God sent Prophets to teach the people, but they were killed by those same people.

In spite of all of this rejection by man, God decided to give them another chance. He sent His only Son on a rescue mission to save the world, but they rejected Him and nailed Him to a cross. I guess that brings us to the present time. How did things get this way? There are many reasons. Take the scripture from above Isaiah 517. Is it true?

It is an unfortunate fact that most churches do not teach the Word of God. Most of them preach, go along, and get along, with what is going on in the world. Many even embrace what is clearly against the Bible. Remember if you don't speak against violation of God's law, you and they are guilty just like those who do what is wrong.

If people cannot get instruction in the church, where can they learn? The answer is, no where. At that point people have a tendency to follow friends, and the goings-on of the world.

If a few True Believers in a Church banded together, prayed, and put pressure on their pastor and the committee that runs the church, change will happen. If that doesn't work, ask the Holy Spirit if you should find a new church.

All of us must realize that eternity is real, the Bible is God's instruction book, and following it will get us to Heaven. Reading and understanding the Bible is each person's responsibility. No one told me no, isn’t an excuse. It takes prayer and effort, but it is a value beyond measure. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Relevancy Of The Bible

2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training In righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Real History tells us many things about the founding fathers. First of all the First Amendment among other things, protects the free exercise of religion. It was firmly believed that God ordained moral standards, and laws should be guided by them. Bibles and Bible teaching were prominent in government, schools and public life.

Joshua 1:8, This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth, you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.

There are dozens of books about our beginnings, but this small space obviously cannot cover them. Check it out in books written when they were truthful. You have to go back a ways and time in order to find it. The Bible is the one true guide for moral Behavior.

John Adams once said “our constitution was made only for moral and religious people it is inadequate or any other”.

Revelation 22:18 -19, I Testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city, which are written about in this book.

The Bible is still an unchanging Truth. The ultimate guide to a blessed life. The Bible doesn't change, we do. Lately  changes from Godly guidance are astonishing.

If Jesus were to come back today, His law would not change. Look at it this way. If you were going to a very small island, would you drive, take a plane to a place where you couldn't land, or take a boat?  It wouldn't matter one bit how much you didn't like boats, if you want to go to the island, the only way is by boat. Get the idea?

Let's compare Heaven to the island, and the Lord Jesus as the only way to get there. You can kick, scream, cuss, and rant and rave, but it won't change anything. There is still only one way and the Lord Jesus is it.

We have the Word of God in the book we call the Bible. It is true and accurate as designed by God. Don't stray from the path. One final question. Would you trust a less-than-perfect GPS to get you to a place you have never been? If it said turn right, would you, or would you go your own way.

God Almighty makes the rules, because He is the Creator of the universe. Don't play one game using rules from many other kinds of games, that's just common sense. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

A Brief Description of Salvation

Let us start at the beginning. You'll hear many people use the expression “the reason for the season” at Christmas time. I sometimes wonder how many people could give you an answer beyond the birth of Jesus.

After Adam and Eve left the garden, and mankind began to spread, the earth became more sinful with each generation. It got to the point where God decided to destroy mankind. Hence the flood where only Noah and his family were spared.

As man began to repopulate the world, the same old things started all over again, man's sinful nature took over. God sent many prophets over many years to teach the people how to live. God knew man was never going to make it on his own. John 3:16 tells us for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God did that because man needed a Savior, and didn't even know it. Only the blood of a pure perfect sacrifice could wipe away man's sin. The only possible answer was God's own son, Jesus..

Luke 2:1-20 tells us the story of the Nativity. This was the beginning of God's plan for the salvation of man. Unfortunately, most of us don't grasp the full impact of Jesus birth. Just a small analogy. Picture your entire body being eaten, inside and out. Every single cell in excruciating pain. Pain so bad, all you wanted to do is die, but you couldn't, you would be this way forever.

At this point someone comes along and says to you, take this pill you will be okay. You take the pill and it works instantly. Would you say thanks buddy, or would you be so grateful that you struggled to express your gratitude.

We are that person my friends. Our sins are eating us up. Eternity in hell is our future. Then Jesus comes on the scene to save us. He tells us to follow Him. Ask yourself, thanks buddy, or un-expressible gratitude to the Lord.. When you stop to think about it, Jesus birth is the first step to eternity with Him because he came to earth on a rescue mission for man, and finished that mission with His death on the cross and His resurrection. So you see my friends when it comes to thinking about Jesus birth as we usually do at Christmas, we should look at the whole story. Christmas is the glorious beginning of man's walk with God if we accept it. That is the reason for the season. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Lessons For Old Age

Isaiah 46:4, I will be the same until your old age, and I will bear you up when you turn gray. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will bear and rescue you.

There have been a number of times over the years when I heard someone say, old people find Jesus because they are afraid to die. I may have said it too at one time. The question is, is it true?

Since I am 80 years old, I think I can give a responsible evaluation, and come up with an answer that is true for many people. If Jesus is your Savior, there is no reason to fear death.

Psalm 71:18, Even while I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, while I Proclaim Your power to another generation. Your strength to all who are to come.

Let's take a look at an ordinary lifetime. I speak these things about some people, myself included. As a person grows and the years pass, we get caught up in life, and live pretty much like everyone else. We decide on how much education to get, probably get a job we don't particularly like, getting married or not, and how to handle finances    and so on. As an old sage said “men lead lives of quiet desperation.  The story for too many.

Most of our Lives, we make decisions with emotion, guided by satan. One bad decision after another. If someone tries to give us good advice, we reject it. We don't even realize that satan is at work.

When we are near old age, we realize there must be a better way. We notice a Christian friend that most people made fun of, seems to have it all together. He is happy and successful, so you finally ask him how and why he is so different. He tells you he knows Jesus. At that point you decide to investigate this Jesus you heard about once in a while. Time to get serious.

One of the biggest things you learn is that Jesus died for you in order to forgive all of your sins and make salvation possible.

At this point satan gets serious. He points out every bad decision, every sin you committed, every failure, and every mistake and evil thing that you did. He tells you that you are too big and bad a sinner to be forgiven. He doesn’t  tell you that he was the reason you did all of that.

satan tries the same thing with believers,  but they know better. They are forgiven and God does not remember their past. Since they became a new person they were saved, and pronounced not guilty in Heaven. When you really stop to think about it, who do you think is probably afraid to die, the old guy who knows Jesus or the guy who has followed satan all his life and never changed?

Ecclesiastes 7: 10-11, You don't say, why were the former days better than these? Since it is not wise of you to ask this. wisdom is as good as an inheritance and an advantage to those who see the sun

God bless you and your family

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Peace In Heart And Mind

1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your cares on Him, because He cares about you.

For years I have heard preachers talking about casting your cares. I started to follow that advice, and it helped quite a bit when my faith allowed it. Like many other Christians I thought it was complaining. We know how God feels about complaining, so why would we do it on purpose?

I checked out the meaning of complaining and found that the definition is, an expression of dissatisfaction or annoyance about something. Okay. So now I checked out the meaning of petition and found that it is a formal request to an authority with respect to a particular cause.

A light bulb was turned on. I found books written by a couple of pastors that explain how and why we should petition almighty God about what concerns us.

Philippians 4: 6-7,  Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

At that point I started to write petitions to Almighty God. They were almost always for other people. Some were simple, and some where like a grocery list. Petitions were for healing, jobs, finances, helping people find Jesus, and many other things.

Over time there were many answered petitions. I am convinced that in a few cases for sure a miracle took place. nothing else could explain the impossible. Talk about a faith builder.

One night I was having trouble falling asleep because I had a few concerns on my mind. All at once I felt in my heart that I should talk to our Father God. I spoke to Him as you would talk to someone who loves you and cares about you. To make a long story short, I poured out what was in my heart. I felt that He really did care about me, and it wasn't just words from the Bible.

Well I fell asleep talking to my Heavenly Father, and I slept like a baby, and woke up a free man. It was such an incredible experience, I now do it every night, with the same results.

Every morning I thank God for another day, and all He will allow me to do. Then I ask the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, to help, teach, and guide me in the will of God. The best thing you can do for yourself is to start and end your day with our Lord. You will be happier than you can possibly imagine. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

A Life Lesson

Only God can see the future. The future follows His perfect plan, which He had from before creation. If we follow the plan, we win. We end up in Heaven with Jesus for eternity. It's that simple. There is a catch however, it can be hard.

For a long time now, my wife and I have started our day, by asking the Holy Spirit for help and guidance during the day. That help to include everything we think, say, or do, so that we would be following God's plan. What we didn't realize was, that was just the beginning.

Matthew 6:34, this therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:27, which of you by worrying can add one qubit to his stature?

Okay, just those words of wisdom when taken to heart take many stressful day's out of our lives. We could always count on the Holy Spirit, because He never let us down. Knowing all of these facts, we added one more thing to our family prayer. After we dedicate our day to God, we thank Him and praise Him for the day that was yet to start. In doing so we feel that we are exercising total faith and trust in God. We found out a long time ago, when we put everything in the Lord's hands, we never get disappointed. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
