My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Lost Or Confused

1 Corinthians 14:33, For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the Saints.

Since every word in the Bible is true, and this verse is in the Bible, what causes confusion or feeling low? The logical conclusion is that confusion and all sorts of unrest is caused by satan.

When you are feeling confused and lost, there's only one answer, turn to God. Many people are so much in satan's grasp, the last thing they want to hear is to turn to God. That makes satan happy, and he turns the screws tighter. That is a problem since man left the garden.

1 Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Turning to God is the only answer, because God understands and hears all who call on Him. Keep the following verses handy, and read them everyday.

Psalm 119:34, Give me understanding, and I shall keep your law, indeed I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Psalm 119:144, ; give me understanding and I shall live.

Psalm 119: 169, Let my cry come before you O Lord, give me understanding according to Your word.

The key to the whole problem is to be in constant contact with God. If you know what God will do, and what He expects of you, you will defeat satan and move on to a much better life. The simple fact is, if God is what is on your mind, there is no place for satan, because God and satan cannot occupy the same place at the same time. The following verse will help explain what we are talking about.

James 4: 7-8, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your hearts you who are double-minded.

I know this may sound like an impossible thing to do when you are feeling down, but I found out over the years that if I am starting to have a bad day I turn to the Word and fortify myself, turn the day over to the Lord and go about my business with a peaceful heart. It works!

I call it my shot of Jesus, the best medicine there is.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

Dealing With The Times

Proverbs 3: 5 - 6, Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

These are times that can make positive thinking people start to turn negative. Most of us sit around trying to figure out what to do next, while others sit around and go deeper and deeper into despair.

Romans 12:2, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove that what is good and acceptable and the perfect will of God.

Here are a couple of facts that most of us know, but usually forget in times of stress. God is in charge, and He has a master plan. God sees the whole picture including everything He has planned for each of us.

Okay, so we know all of that, or we should know. Now we have the words, but what  do we do. The answer is simple, but sometimes very hard. That answer is, change what we focus on.

Proverbs 12:25, Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.

Focus on the Word of God. His Word is true and uplifting. Really get into thinking about what it says and means. The concordance at the back of the Bible lists where to find verses on many different topics. Next focus on your blessings, and realize that God is in charge, and He loves you, and will not let you down.

There is one amazing thing that we should all remember. The Bible is the word of God, and is the only source of truth in this universe. Take its lessons to heart, meditate on the truths it contains, and you will feel like an entirely new person, with an entirely new way of looking at things. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you.

 Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

A New You

Ephesians 1:7-8, In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.

Jesus shed His precious blood in order to forgive our sins. There is a catch. You must repent of your sins. If you believe you are not guilty of sins, you are starting on the road to destruction.

1 John 1:8-10, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

Luke 5:32, I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Some people claim to know God. They ask Him to change someone else to fit who they are and they sit back and think Jesus will take care of it. This person also believes he or she is perfect and Jesus welcomes their sinful ways. Does this give you a clue to the kind of person who feels they have no sin?

2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things become new.

1 John 5:18, We know that whoever is born of God, does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

Sin comes in many forms. Be sure to keep this in mind however, God does not think the way we do. You cannot possibly know God unless you know His standards. The only way you get to know His standards is by reading His Word, the Bible. Ask yourself if some effort is worth where you will be forever, or is it too much trouble? It is absolutely your choice. Be a new man or the same old one. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my life as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Why

2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

If you ask people if they would prefer to drive, or let someone else drive, the answer given most of the time is, I don't feel comfortable with someone else driving.

In this case we assume that each person is equally capable. How about an airplane? Most of us aren't capable of flying, so we must trust a pilot we don't know. If we tried it would more than likely crash.

I pose this question. Who would be more capable of directing our lives, us or God?

God is the creator of everything. Nothing exists without God. He has always existed, so he had plenty of time to plan each movement of each of His creations. Even the stars are where He placed them.

Everything God planned has already happened in the spiritual world, and is playing out in the natural world as we speak. So let's look at man. Back when shoes had laces, how old were you when you learned to tie them. We could go on and on with examples. Most of what we learn, we learn the hard way.

God planned everything. We stumble through life because we don't know what will happen next. God can arrange the pieces, we don't even know how many pieces there are, and we couldn't control them if we did.

Ask yourself who would make the right choice, you or God. If you are honest, the answer is not you or me. All believers have the Holy Spirit to help, teach, and guide them in God's plan. Don't know God yet? Find the Bible with Jesus' words in red. It will start you on the road to Salvation. Here are a couple of verses to help you in your journey to Salvation.

John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

The Great Undiscovered

John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This verse describes the greatest event in man’s history. Right behind is another event that most people are unaware of. The sad thing is that most of those that do know, don't realize the significance.

John 14:16, And I will pray, the Father, and He will give you another helper , that He may abide with you forever.

John 16: 13, However, when He, the spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will tell you things to come.

Once you realize that the same power that worked through Jesus, including all of His miracles, and His resurrection, has been given to all at Salvation, a new world opens up.

The Holy Spirit really does help with all of our needs. He teaches, guides, even helps us pray. His purpose in our lives is to help us know and do God's will.

The Holy Spirit doesn't just help with our spiritual needs, but also our day-to-day physical needs. I have come to rely on Him for help and guidance all day, every day, in every way. Literally. I honestly believe He is my constant companion, just like if He was physically there.

I could go on and on. He has never let me down, and He won't let you down either. Just put everything in His hands and believe. By the way, in case you haven't figured it out yet, the great undiscovered just happens to be the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3: 5-6, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his Mercy he saved us, through washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. Will be poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ Our Savior.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Know The Truth

1  Corinthians 2: 14, What the natural man does not receive the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Today I would like to tell you a story that you could probably relate to. It is a true story, with a happy ending.

Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, and to those who are called according to his purpose.

When I first became a Christian, I was very anxious to serve the Lord. Like many others, I looked into what it took to become a pastor. Time and circumstances were not in my favor.

As time went on, I prayed for the Lord Jesus to show me how I could serve Him, and be the man He created me to be. I started reading the Bible, because I was told that it is God's set of instructions for me to be saved,  as well as learning the way to live in order to lead the life He wanted me to have. Call this preparation time.

I looked for a church, and overtime attended one then another. It didn't work out. I still felt empty, and kept on praying. I attended one church for two years. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, and my life changed. I felt the Holy Spirit was urging me to write blogs, or as I understood it, plant seeds for the Holy Spirit to make grow. I started doing that.

A person at church asked me to baptize them in the Holy Spirit, so I did.

Over time, I baptized my wife, my son, two sister-in-laws. Still praying about serving Lord Jesus. One morning after our prayers, I heard a voice in my heart saying “you are privileged to serve the Lord. You have a part in the salvation of others.”

Needless to say, I was overwhelmed. The whole point of the story is to show you that you have a part in other peoples salvations too. When you follow what the Lord puts in your heart, you are doing what He created you to do. Every Christian has the privilege of serving the Lord, but you need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help you find it. The best advice I can give you is, keep asking the Holy Spirit for guidance, and wait on the Lord for His timing. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Is This The End

1  John 2: 18, Little children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

This message is not meant to scare anyone, or to predict when Jesus will come. This message is intended to help all who will listen. It is also intended to help explain the times we live in.

Read the following versus carefully. Pray for wisdom and understanding by asking the Holy Spirit to make everything clear enough for you to make a wise decision. After the verses, there is a brief commentary.

Matthew 24:36, But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only.

2 Timothy 3: 1 - 5, But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away.

When you look at what is happening in the world, or even our own country, can you see how we are following prophecy? Did you ever think you would ever see what is happening right now in the US?

 I believe this is a wake-up call.

2 Chronicles 7 : 14, If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land.

This tells us that we have another chance. It applies to people of any country, that will listen. There is no doubt the end is coming someday, the Bible tells us so. When it does it will come as written in

2  3 :10, but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the Heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Now, this minute, is it time to repent and accept Jesus into your heart as your personal savior. None of us knows if we will be alive, 5 minutes from now. Eternity is forever. every prophecy that was supposed to happen until now, did happen. It is wise to think what is prophesied for the future will also happen.  God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

Check Yourself

Matthew 7: 1 - 2, Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

All of us should know by now that we should not judge others, that is God's job. When we complain or criticize, we are in effect judging God. Since each person is living according to God's plan, we are telling Him that He did a poor job of planning in our case.

Romans 2: 1 - 3, Therefore you are inexcusable, o man, whoever you are  who judge, or in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the Judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, o man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgement of God?

Now it comes to us. Is this verse describing you? Do you pass judgment on yourself? Are you happy about who you are, and how you act? There are answers. Make a list of what you don't like about yourself. Ask yourself about the kind of relationship you have with God. Talk to Him, study His word, etc.

Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Realize that no one can change on their own. We must go to God and ask Him for help, because only He can make it happen. If you are not saved, say the Prayer of Salvation from your heart, that is the way to get on the right track.

2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

With the love of God for you, Jesus and the Holy Spirit with you always, you will fulfill God's plan for your life. You may slip once in a while, but Jesus is always there to strengthen you. When you have Jesus and the Holy Spirit with you, you will begin to see other people through spiritual eyes and not physical eyes.  Looking at others with spiritual eyes you will have a lot less tendency to  judge others because you realize that they  are living God's plan for their life. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

More On Grace

Ephesians 2:8-9, For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

It is common for believers to associate Grace with salvation. That is correct, but it goes much deeper than that.

It is by God's Amazing Grace that we exist. It is by His grace our bodies function, and we have a world to function in.

It is God's Amazing Grace taking care of us every second of every day. It is by grace that we have the written word of our loving God, to show us the way to eternal life.

It is God's Amazing Grace that we have the Holy Spirit to teach us, guide us, help us in everything we do. The Holy Spirit even helps us pray. He takes our words, what is in our hearts that we don't know how to express, and turns it all into a perfect prayer that He presents to almighty God, our Father.

Just a little add on. Everything, and I mean everything in our lives is because of our God's Amazing Grace. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

satan And You

1 Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

This title was not meant to scare anyone, but to enlighten them. I must say though, if he doesn't scare you, you may be following him and somehow don't realize it.

John 10:10, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

So now we have a good idea of what to expect from him. He makes no exceptions, he wants to destroy everyone. He's out to get everyone who does not belong to him already, especially the people of God.

1 John 3:8, He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

If you are doing what everyone else does, even though the small voice in your heart is telling you not to, you are in great danger. There is hope because the blood of Jesus was shed for all of us.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4, But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the God of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God should shine on them.

If this describes you, get on your knees and call on Jesus to save you. The only way you won't be saved is to reject Jesus. Remember this though. If you reject Jesus, you automatically accept satan as your father.

James 4:7-8, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you Sinners, and purify your hearts you double-minded.

Heed this warning. If you accept Jesus as your savior, satan will step up his efforts to get you. Remember these verses and get into His word, the Bible. Repent all your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart as your savior, and you will be saved. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

You Are Valuable

Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

One of the great tragedies in life, is that very few of us were taught how much God loves us. If you think about today's verse, you can pretty much figure that only God can love that much, and how sad it is that we don't find out very early in life.

Psalm 139 13 - 16, For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and secure fully wrought in the lowest parts of the Earth, your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in your book they all were written, the day's fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

God knew you and your future before you even were. It shows how you were planned and then created.  He included a soul in you that would have a longing for Him and an empty spot in your heart that can only be filled by Jesus. You are not an accident, but we're planned by God to the last detail.

Ephesians 2: 8, For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

After we were created, God loved us so much that He sent His only Son to die for our sins. That is a fact. Think about this, if you were the only one, Christ Jesus would have sacrificed Himself just for you. God gave you a gift of Grace, so that you would know Him, and follow His plan for your salvation.

Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Since God loves us so much, He wants to have a relationship with us. He gave the Holy Spirit to be our guide, helper, and teacher in God's ways and plans for us. Is there any way to describe all of these blessings except through God's love for each and every one of us? God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you. Amen.

Serving God

Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.

Serving God is misunderstood by so many people. Maybe we can help those who are confused as to how to do that. We must start out by asking ourselves this question. If what God wants me to do is too hard in my mind, how much do I really love Him?

Romans 12:1, I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Now would be a good time to look at how to serve the Lord in ways that people usually don't think about. Don't forget, God has a plan for each of us, and that includes you and me. For instance, He gave you the work you do. He has a reason for where you work and what you do at that job.

When you do your best and commit your work to the Lord, you are not only following His plan for you, you are honoring Him, you are also setting an example for co-workers.

2 Corinthians 9:7, Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful Giver.

When we speak of giving, most people think of money. God's idea of giving goes beyond money. Consider helping someone with your time, your skill, or your knowledge. Many times your thoughtfulness, help, or example can be appreciated more than money and speak volumes for being a Christian.

If a neighbor is sick or old, consider cutting their grass once in a while, shovel snow, stop by for a little conversation. Help people to realize they are not alone or friendless. This applies to anyone, not just sick or old.

Remember this important truth. It doesn't matter if no one gives you credit, or who did it. you know you are doing God's work, and most important of all He does too.

1 Peter 4:10, Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.

Hebrews 6:10, God is not unjust; He will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for His sake in serving the Saints as you still do.

Remember according to God's Word all believers are Saints. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Faith And Trust

Hebrews 11:6, And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.

Faith is defined as having complete confidence in someone, or something.

Trust is defined as believing in the reliability, truth and ability of someone or something.

Sometimes people question whether they have faith. Many of them ask God to let them know. They don't seem to realize that it takes a certain amount of Faith to pray in the first place. They basically answer their own question.

Many people struggle to muster up enough Faith to believe that they will get what they ask of God. Just that quick satan steps in and tries to bring doubt. Thoughts like, did I pray enough? Did I say the right things? Did God hear me? Will He answer me?

Put your mind at ease. God sees the heart, and answers sincere prayer. The prayer of a Believer, when asked in Jesus name, is carried by the Holy Spirit to God in Heaven. The Holy Spirit first takes those words from your heart and fashions an acceptable prayer to God.

Okay, we did the faith part, now we must do the trust part. We trust that God our Father hears our prayer. The stumbling block for many people is being doubtful of whether God will do it for them.

Just recently I heard a preacher explain a very clear picture of how prayer works. God in Heaven knows your needs and wants. He prepares those needs and wants in the spiritual world. They will wait there until you release them to the natural world  by prayer. God is your Heavenly Father, and He wants us to trust Him, the way a child trusts a parent.

When you understand how faith and trust work together, you will see amazing things. Remember this, if you limit your expectations, you are limiting God. Nothing is impossible for God. No matter how Impossible on Earth, or how impossible it seems in your mind. always remember, God is greater than anything you can throw in front of him. God loves His children and, Is always ready and eager to bless them. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Amen
