Serving God

Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.

Serving God is misunderstood by so many people. Maybe we can help those who are confused as to how to do that. We must start out by asking ourselves this question. If what God wants me to do is too hard in my mind, how much do I really love Him?

Romans 12:1, I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

Now would be a good time to look at how to serve the Lord in ways that people usually don't think about. Don't forget, God has a plan for each of us, and that includes you and me. For instance, He gave you the work you do. He has a reason for where you work and what you do at that job.

When you do your best and commit your work to the Lord, you are not only following His plan for you, you are honoring Him, you are also setting an example for co-workers.

2 Corinthians 9:7, Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful Giver.

When we speak of giving, most people think of money. God's idea of giving goes beyond money. Consider helping someone with your time, your skill, or your knowledge. Many times your thoughtfulness, help, or example can be appreciated more than money and speak volumes for being a Christian.

If a neighbor is sick or old, consider cutting their grass once in a while, shovel snow, stop by for a little conversation. Help people to realize they are not alone or friendless. This applies to anyone, not just sick or old.

Remember this important truth. It doesn't matter if no one gives you credit, or who did it. you know you are doing God's work, and most important of all He does too.

1 Peter 4:10, Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.

Hebrews 6:10, God is not unjust; He will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for His sake in serving the Saints as you still do.

Remember according to God's Word all believers are Saints. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Amen
