What's This

Philippians 4:19 tells us, and my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Today I would like to bring up a topic that most people are not aware of. That topic is the perversion of blessings. Let me explain.

God our father is always giving us blessings. As a matter of fact there are so many blessings, that we don't even recognize them as such.

Let's take a simple blessing and go from there. Let's say that God gives you a taste for strawberry ice cream. You have some, and you really enjoy it. You know you should eat a moderate amount, once in a while. Well, something goes wrong. You start to have some every day. Soon that isn't enough, so the portions get bigger and bigger. You lose total control of a simple thing like ice cream. You put on weight, and you hate what you have done, but you can't stop. What is going on?

satan took a simple blessing from God, and turned it into a curse for you. He now has plenty to condemn you for, and it absolutely ruins what started out as a Blessing.  satan does this sort of thing all of the time. He finds our weak spots and capitalizes on our weaknesses. When you get to the point where we want more and more of something, to the point where we cannot control our urge for something, we have allowed satan to turn a blessing into a sin.

So what do we do? When we notice the first urge for more, regardless of what it is, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. He will help you conquer satan. Call on the name of Jesus every time you feel weak. Jesus and the Holy Spirit will never let you down. A blessing will always be a blessing that you can be grateful to God for. So be vigilant, and see what is going on. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves You

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise he Lord!

Amen
