God's Promises Sunday

What God               Wants From You

1 Corinthians 10:31, therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

If you are like most believers, you wonder what can I do to please almighty God? What should I not do? How do I know for sure if I am pleasing God? The answer is simple, but can be difficult. There are many answers in the Bible, but we will look at a few.

Almighty God created us to love and serve Him. There are many ways we can know for sure if we are placing Him. A good place to start is by realizing that He wants us to rely on Him as our source for absolutely everything.

When we trust in Him, we are not only pleasing Him, but we are at the same time praising Him. There are many stories in the Bible that tell us that when the people consulted God, and followed what He said, they were successful. When they didn't they failed.

That is a good place to start. We received the Holy Spirit when we were saved. Therefore if we commit ourselves and our work to Almighty God, and ask the Holy Spirit to help and lead us, we will receive it. It never fails.

Deuteronomy 10: 12-13, And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good.

When the Israelites were going to war, they foolishly looked to others to help them. When they did their allies failed them and they lost. If they looked to almighty God first the battle was theirs. It stands to reason that one of the wisest things we could do, is to look at the Bible as a history book.

It is a good idea for us to talk to the Holy Spirit about what we want to do, and trust in Him to help us to do the right thing, He will not let us down. It may not be the way we plan on getting it done, but the fact is His ways are better. That my friends is what learning from history is all about. The Bible is a history book of of right and wrong.

Ecclesiastes 1:9, that which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

What will never change as far as humanity goes. The same mistakes are made over and over. The reasons generally are pride, arrogance, and a search for power. Each of us individually, can learn the truth and not repeat the failures. Enjoy life and be a winner through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 37:5,  commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

Proverbs 3:5-6,  trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord !

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you died on the cross and rose again to save me and to forgive all my sins. I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I Repent of my sins, and I thank you and praise you for what you did on the cross to make my salvation possible. Amen.

Praise The Lord!
