My Time With Jesus Tuesday

God’s Word

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

One question that hardly  ever gets answered truthfully is, do you read the Bible?  It is a hard question to answer for many people, because they do not know Jesus.  There are as many excuses for not reading the Bible as there are people.

Some examples are, ”the Bible is too hard to understand”. Really? Even with all of the simple language versions available? Try again.

“ It was written by men”0. That obviously comes from someone who doesn't have any idea how the Bible was written. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit to the people who did write it.

Another good one is “I don't have time”. I pity you if you can’t spare at least 15 minutes sometime during the day to read at least one chapter of the Bible. You could always try reading the Bible while you are having your cup of coffee.

Now here comes the one that most people will not admit to , but it is probably the most truthful. “I am just lazy”.

Another reason that some people don't read God's Word, is because they are afraid of what it says about their lifestyle. Some people feel so guilty they honestly think they cannot be forgiven. That of course is the biggest mistake of all, because that's what Jesus died for. His blood was spilled for the forgiveness of sin, past, present, and future for those who sincerely repent.

I would like to say at this point that none of this was written as a condemnation for anyone. It was written as kind of a reminder of the importance of the Bible, and where you, yourself, put it. Our savior is a loving forgiving God and He is anxious to welcome you into His arms forever. The part you play is that you have to accept Him as your savior. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Amen
