Work For God

Greetings. My Friends;
This will be another change of pace message. It is based on something I never knew, because I didn't know God.
Many of us start out our working life just happy to get a decent job. After a while we get dissatisfied with the job itself, the field we are in, or maybe we feel underpaid. We may feel that we have to move on, so we look for another job.
Our careers, if you want to call it that, often seem to get stalled. Maybe a spouse and children come along, and now we feel doomed, locked in with no hope. The next thing is probably depression, and then complaining.  The more complaining, the worse it gets.  A complete self defeating spiral downfall.
If we realize that all good things come from the Lord, it changes everything. When we work like it is for the Lord, we are blessed. Even if we aren't officially saved yet, the Lord still looks out for us. A good attitude works in the same way a bad one does, but in reverse. A good attitude produces good work. The Lord seems to move in steps with a lot of people. When you can handle what he has given you, then it is time to move up or on. He will make it happen.
Working for the Lord can involve many things.  Jobs, volunteer work, husband, father, etc. If you are surprised by husband and father, don't be. Probably the most important job the Lord gives a person is that of spouse or parent. Your job as a parent is to nurture your children. You and your spouse should love and respect each other and to be a good example for your children.
Raising children in an atmosphere of faith, love, respect and responsibility, will keep them from experiencing the scenario we had at first. If they grow up with the knowledge that what they do and how they affect other people  is part of God's ultimate plan for them, then you will probably feel  like you really did a good job in raising them. There is no way you can emphasize the importance of having a family situation that is God fearing, and totally positive.  If you and your family approach everything you do as working for God, you will be happier than you ever thought possible. Your family will be blessed.
God bless you, and remember,
Jesus loves you.
Prayer of salvation;

"Oh God in heaven, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead. I receive your Word, and I repent of sin. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth,  cleansed  and washed in the Word and in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with your spirit, in Jesus name. Amen."
