The Faces of Truth

It Is Written, 2 Timothy 4:3-4, for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;  and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
Paul wrote this letter to Timothy, to warn him that there are so-called Christians in the church, who will seek teachers who will give them feel good preaching, telling them what they want to hear.
Truth is defined as being in accordance with fact or reality.  Unfortunately people have different ideas of reality.  What is one man's truth, is another man's lie.  Your reality should not be just the things that make you feel good.
If you go to six doctors that tell you smoking will eventually kill you, and you keep going to more doctors until you find one that says smoking is not harmful, your reality is flawed if you choose to believe the last guy.  Denial of the truth, does not change the facts.
People love to pull individual quotes from the Bible.  They don't look at who is speaking, to whom they are speaking, or what they are speaking about. They just look for ways to excuse what they do.
People go to great lengths to avoid the truth, either in the telling or the hearing.  They lie in order to cover something up, or they do it so much, that the lies become their reality, and hence it is the truth to them.
If you want to know something, you go to an instruction manual written by the manufacturer.  There may be a few errors in it, but after all it is just stuff.
The only error-free manufacturers manual is the Bible;  the Word of God. All of it is true, and not open to interpretation, it is God's reality.  It is a feel-good book to believers, and at the same time a horror story to those who are not saved.
Just a reminder.  Denying any of the laws of God as written, does not change them or make them go away.  Denying the existence of Jesus, does not make Him go away.  The truth is the truth, no matter how politically incorrect that may be in your opinion.  Have a blessed day.
 Praise the Lord!

Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
Amen
