Conversations with God

It Is Written, Jeremiah 29:13, and you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all of your heart.
Many people were brought up, using prayers written by someone else years and years ago.
In Matthew 6:7, Jesus talks about the repetition and the use of many words as the heathen do.
Many people read the Bible as if it were a regular book, so they don't understand it. The result is they put it away and use the excuse that it is too complicated.
In both of these cases people are using or reading words with no thought. At that point the effort is minimal and useless.
We are created in God's image. He is a spirit, so we are spirits too. Prayer must be spirit to spirit. In case you are wondering, your heart is a spirit. Speaking to God from your heart is essential. Talk to Him as you would a loving father, because He is.  He hears and acts on words from the heart.
The Bible is just words, until you take the time to meditate on each verse, and search for the meaning.  With all that is available online, everyone can understand the Bible with a little effort.  It is important to study the Bible one verse at a time, and don't worry about how long it takes.  Quality of study and understanding is much more valuable than quantity of verses read in an artificial timeframe.
Remember, words you use and understand are so important.  Prayer is words you use to speak to God, and the Bible is words God uses to speak to you.  A conversation where both parties value and understand each other, blesses both.  It is from God's heart to yours, and your heart to His. You can have those conversations by taking a little time that you set aside, preferably at the first part of the day.  Have a blessed day.
 Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
 Amen
