Discontent

Greetings My Friends;
You probably remember when Jesus told the apostles to be aware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matthew 16:12, referring to their doctrine, and how it affected people.
It is no stretch of the imagination to be aware of the leaven of satan. We are all aware that he tempts people to sin, and is the great deceiver. He wants us to live away from the Lord.
You might say that you do not commit adultery, steal, and so on, thinking you are safe. Might there be another tool of satan that is really powerful? You bet there is. That tool is called discontent. This will give you an idea of what it is. It is so sneaky you may not even realize it.
Let's use your job for an example. satan is aware of each person's hot button. He will cause little things to happen, in order to get you going the way he wants you to go. He wants you to start complaining, or really disliking someone, maybe followed by gossip.
Everything that happens as a result, he magnifies in fact or in your mind. He can affect how you do your job. As he gains ground a little at a time, he turns it into something like a feeding frenzy. Pretty soon you start to act that way at home. You not only run the risk of alienating your family, but you will probably start making bad decisions leading to more disaster. A real snowball rolling down a hill.
He will try to get you to blame God for all of your woes. Then the devil feels like he has you. He keeps the pressure on because he doesn't want you to remember that you have power over him in Jesus name, and you can stop him. I guess you get the point that just as a little leaven  in a lump of dough permeates the whole thing and changes it, the leaven of satan can do that in your life.
 We all go through varying degrees of pressure from satan. We can however stop him cold. Talk to the Lord or the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, and ask for the answer, thank Him for the answer, and stand in the Word. Your story will turn out just the way you want it to.
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation;
Father I repent of all my sins. I know that Jesus suffered and died for me to forgive my sins. He rose again to make salvation possible. By His stripes I was healed. I ask you Jesus to come into my heart and be my personal savior. Help me to live according to your plan. Thank you Lord.
