God's Promises Sunday

Forgiveness Of Past Sins

1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Have you ever thought that your sinful past was beyond forgiveness? The fact is satan cannot get a person so lost that God could not find him. Let's take a look at forgiveness.

Matthew 26:27-28, And He took a cup and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, saying, drink of it all of you, for this is my blood of the Covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

We see that when Jesus shed His blood, all sins of the world were washed away. That applies to all who believe, repent, and receive. So just in case you have some common questions, here's what you should know. It isn't everything, but it is basic.

Stray thoughts are not your fault. Most of the time satan is trying to trick you into accepting and acting on what he tells you. True repenting is doing a total turnaround in behavior. If you slip once in a while, you will be forgiven if you repent with a sincere heart. There is no limit to God's grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9,  For by Grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God. Not a result of works, so that no man may boast.

Then there is continual  sinning. You know something is a sin but you do it anyway. Your repentance was useless. Christ sacrifice means nothing in your life.

Hebrews 10:26-27, So for if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.

As Christians we have a direct line to our Heavenly Father. Don't worry about the hundreds or maybe thousands of traditional prayers for every subject known to man. Our Heavenly Father wants to hear from your heart. You can tell Him anything, and He will listen, because you are His much love child. By the way, in case you didn't know. words from the heart, are the best prayer. Those words spoken from your heart to the heart of God will yield good results. God bless you and your family Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus!

Praise The Lord!
