Sin

Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sin of all sorts has been around as long as man. Unfortunately, sin is a way of life for most people. The same people will tell you there’s no such thing as sin, and others think that most sins are small, so they don’t count. Let’s see what God thinks.

At one time satan was the top angel in Heaven. He was far above all the others. His pride was such however that he thought he was the equal of God and tried to take over. You know the rest of the story, he was thrown out of Heaven and condemned.

Adam and Eve lived in Paradise. They had everything you could possibly imagine. God gave them one command however and that was to not eat from the Tree of Good and Evil. satan deceived Eve and she gave to Adam. Because of their sin, they were cast out of Paradise.

If you look at both stories it may seem God was not fair because of the drastic differences in sin. The truth is God cannot tolerate sin, and in His eyes, Sin is Sin.

James 4:17, Anyone then, who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, commits sin.

1 John 1:8-10, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

God looks at sin in a way that is very different than the way we think of sin.

Hebrews 10:26, Or if we willfully persist in sin after having received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.

Matthew 5:28, But I say to you, that everyone who looks at a woman, with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

As we can see from these verses, sin starts in your heart and if it isn’t rejected at that point it can grow to the point where it acts.

There’s no way for us to pay for our sins. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die in our place, wash away our sins with His blood, past, present, future. When we accept Jesus as our savior, we become righteous in God’s eyes. The whole point of salvation is to change the way we live and to start following God’s way.

What I would like to point out at this time that if satan puts some thoughts in your head and you reject them, you have not committed a sin, God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Praise The Lord!
