A New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; Behold a new has come.

You may have heard the phrase a new creation and wondered what it means. This verse tells us that when we repent of all our sins and acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior, we are that new creation.

John 3:3, Jesus answered him, truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

1Peter1:23-25, Having been born again not of corruptible seed, but Incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. All Flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as a flower of the grass. The grass withers and its flowers fall away but the word of the Lord endures forever.

From these verses we can see that we are truly born again In Christ. Our Immortal souls are imperishable through God’s word in our abiding in Him. When we receive the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts, and the Holy Spirit comes to help us and guide us in our new life.

Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

When we realize that it is a gift from God and not a reward for our works, that is the first step. Think about the fact that despite a previous sinful life we have been forgiven, and only God can love and forgive that much.

Romans 12:2, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Our new life should focus on our savior and follow His word and guidance. The world and its evil ways should be abhorrent to us. We should instead reflect the light of the Lord Jesus Christ to everyone we meet, remembering that actions are more powerful than words.

Ephesians 4: 22-24, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God and true righteousness and Holiness.

At this point you have eternal life, the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to help you live your new life and abandon the old you.

If you don’t see all of this yet, and you are saved, don’t worry. Get into the word and get to know our Lord. It is a new and exciting Journey we are taking. Remember that our Lord hears our prayers and never fails to answer. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen. Praise The Lord!
