Now Is The Time

Psalm 118:24, This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Sometimes we overlook the importance of each day because our lives seem to be focused on the days and weeks ahead.

Matthew 6: 11, give us this day our daily bread.

This seems like a good place to start thinking about each day. Almighty God wants us to focus on each day for several reasons. This verse shows us that God wants us to have faith and trust in Him for our daily needs.

When most of us have an abundance of anything, we tend to forget it is God who provides all of our needs. Sometimes we even try to take credit for smart planning and wisdom on our part.

Matthew 6:34, therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Another verse that makes us think about each day. Think about this. If we dwell on the past, or focus on the future, we miss today. Any day can be our last day. Every day sees many people go into eternity. Realize that someday it will be our turn. If you knew today was your last day, you would probably do things differently. You would enjoy what God gave you.

Another point to the wisdom of one day at a time. Most of what we worry about won’t happen, so why suffer for days or weeks for nothing? You also worry about things you can’t control anyway. Do it right each day, and no regrets tomorrow.

Each day is a gift from God. Our freewill shows us if that gift means anything to us. God gives it to us with love. Do we thank Him by getting the most out of it, or do we insult God by rejecting it. Each one of us must make that choice every single day.  If we pay attention to and follow the next verse every day will be a glorious day that God has made.

Proverbs 3: 5-8, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the lord and depart from evil, it will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones.

You may have to concentrate on this idea for several days, but don’t give up. I found it was well worth the effort, and it became automatic after a while. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus!
