God's Promises Sunday

Why We Don’t Hear God

2 Peter 1:20-21, Knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God’s spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

It is a fact that God tries in many ways to communicate with us each day. Did you know for instance that God’s spirit is always in touch with our spirit? God also speaks to our conscience. Most people either don’t believe in God, or they believe in His existence but don’t know Him.

James 1:2, My brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials.

God allows us to make our own choices. In allowing us to decide, He also allows the consequence. Mistakes and consequences are good teachers. Unfortunately, it is common to blame God when something goes wrong, so people don’t learn from their experience.

Then you have those who don’t believe God speaks. You probably heard someone say that God never spoke to them. With that mindset, they never will because they don’t listen.

You will never hear God’s voice in your heart if you are caught up in things of the world. Much of what you see and hear from the media, our government, and society’s values, are satan talking to his followers. He may even use your best friends.

James 4:8, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your heart, you double minded.

If we want to hear God’s voice, we must focus on Him, by reading His word, and talking to Him, and the big point is to listen. Ignore what Society thinks and use your own mind. The crowd is usually wrong.

Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Look for His presence all day long. If you look and listen with a sincere heart you will see Him in your life. As you practice listening to the voice of the Lord, and looking for His presence in your daily life, you will gradually grow into a person who sees and understands. If at first, you’re not convinced that you will ever hear God’s voice, believe it anyway. You will never regret it. Remember, God talks to all who listen. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus!
