The Cost of Doubt

It Is Written, James 1:6-8, but let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Doubt is defined as a feeling of uncertainty, or lack of conviction. As you can tell from today's verse, doubt keeps prayers from being answered.
When it comes to God's Word, doubt is ugly, and hurtful to God. Doubt is your mind telling you that the Word of God cannot be relied on. There is no other way to describe it.
When we pray, our spirit knows that the Word of God is always true. Our hearts know it too. The problem is that our minds are vulnerable to negative attacks by satan.
As we know already, thoughts that pass through our minds, do not make us guilty, unless we accept them. The same is true about doubt. If we do not accept, and instead reject them, God will  and does have mercy on us.
God has never lied, and will not lie in the future. All believers are children of God. When we live as we are led by the spirit, we are showing God that we love and trust Him.
If you find yourself starting to doubt, listen to your heart, and call on the Holy Spirit to help you. He will. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
 Amen
