A Lazy Believer

It Is Written, James 1:22-24, but be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
Many people claim to be Christians. In the United States, some 70-80% of the people who were asked if they were Christian, answered yes.
Let's take a look. The average person who claims to be a Christian, bases it on his own opinion, not by what the Bible says. Just because we go to church once in a while, or give a couple of bucks to charity once in a while, or we have heard of Jesus, none of this makes us a Christian.
The Bible is pretty clear about what we have to do to attain eternal life through Jesus. It also explains what we are to do, in Galatians 5: 22- 25, but the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such there is no law and those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires: if we live in the spirit let us also walk in the spirit. And what not to do in Galatians 5:19-21, now the works of the flesh are evident, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, deceptions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, rivalries, and the like of which I tell you before hand just as I also told you in time past, those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
It seems reasonable at this point to make a couple of assumptions. If people who claim to be Christians, live by what the Bible says, would our country, or the world, be the lawless places they are?
To spend eternity with the Lord, we must know Him, love Him, and serve Him, according to His Word, and not by what the world thinks. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
Amen
