Hurt Feelings Destroy

It Is Written, Proverbs 28:25, he who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper.
The thought for today is something that most of us hardly ever think about, hurt feelings.  Hurt feelings can destroy families as well as friends, and cause strife wherever we go.
Some people almost never feel hurt, while others feel hurt by all kinds of things.  If you are someone who lives in a constant state of hurt feelings, it would be a good idea to take a look at what hurts you and why.
A person who subconsciously feels that the world revolves around them, is a likely candidate for being hurt.  A self-centered person feels rejection when someone disagrees with them, because it attacks their pride.  Don't let pride keep you from recognizing that you are this way.
Then you have the person who is so insecure that they feel that people are talking in a negative way about them all of the time.  This attacks their self-image.  All of these things cause strife, and strife leads to no good end. People end up alone because it is too difficult to put up with their problem.
This can all change.  If you are someone who is always hurt, change your focus from you to Jesus. Jesus had, and still has the most reasons to be hurt, but He isn't angry because He understands how we are.
Here is a thought.  Take a good look at what you do every day.  Think about one particular thing each day, and ask yourself if Jesus would be hurt by it. A good one to start with is, do you live like you love Him?
Work on that  each day until you get a positive answer.  One test would be, how are your relationships going?  Are they getting better or worse.  It would be a good idea for each of us to focus more on Jesus and less on ourselves.
Remember, pride, strife, anger, are all demonic.  You can't be a true follower of Christ if you are following the way the devil wants you to act. Put everything in God's hands and follow Him.  You will be amazed what it is like to live without overly tender feelings.  May God bless you and your family.  Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me.  Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
 Amen
