God's Love and Mercy

It Is Written, Psalm 86:5, for you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon you.
Most believers know what kind of a loving God we serve, especially about His unbelievable love and mercy.  So why do so many people think that God hates them, and will not forgive them?
Some of these people probably judge themselves by the standards of their parents or others as they were growing up.  It is common to hear that a father was harsh or unforgiving, so they figure God is that way.  In some cases fathers are blamed for allowing them to make wrong decisions.  A free will carries responsibilities.
A cause of drug or alcohol abuse is often satan himself.  He puts people in places or situations where his suggestions are readily accepted.  After the person follows satan's suggestion,  satan then begins to condemn the person for doing it.  satan is so relentless in telling this person things like, you are so bad,  God hates you and people that are like you.  He will never forgive anyone like you.
The fact is, God's love and forgiveness knows no limits.  At one level or another, we are all prodigal sons or daughters.  Jesus told many stories about things being lost, and then found .  It doesn't matter how far you have strayed, you can't stray far enough to get away from God's love for you.  If you call on Jesus, He will hear you.  He's waiting for you.  Do it! Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me.  Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
Amen
