Knowing Jesus

John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This verse is mentioned more often than any other. I will go so far as to say, many who mentioned John 3:16 don’t even know what it says. They heard somebody else say it or they saw a sign at  a football game so they adopted it.

Ask yourself this question. How can Jesus who is one of the most recognized names in history be so loved and so hated by so many.

One of the biggest reasons for that is, so many people don’t really know Him. We are a world full of people that rely on Google, Facebook, and TikTok to tell us what to think about anything and everything.

John 1: 14, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His, glory as of the only begotten Son of the Father full of grace and truth.

Most people don’t realize how high the stakes are. We tend to have a herd mentality. If the leader jumps off the cliff, the rest of the herd will blindly follow.

Do not believe this theory about everyone goes to Heaven or there is no hell. Think about this. Even the person who does not know Jesus will figure out that Justice would refute that idea.

I realize that the Bible intimidates many people. Here is a suggestion. Go online and search for the free online Bible new King James Version. Go to the New Testament and look at the Gospel of John. He lived with Jesus and documented everything he saw. It’s an easy read. The thing is you must really think about it.

In the next couple of messages, we will try to make possible outcomes of following Jesus, or following satan, clear and easy so the decision you make is yours not someone else’s.

Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins, and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Words Are Power

Ephesians 4:29, Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

If you talk to an obese person, sooner or later you will see how unhappy they are. I’ve had dozens of people say that they had a weight problem since they were young. They had a parent or other relative telling them that they are fat. They accepted that description and allowed it to mess up their whole lives.

There are many people that are unhappy because they bought the lie and accepted what other people thought of them. If that doesn’t give you an idea of the power of words especially to an impressionable young mind, then you’re really missing something.

Matthew 12: 36-37, but I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give accounting of it on the day of judgment. For by your words, you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Consider this. Generational curses are the result of words and ideas passed down over many years. Things like, the whole family is a bunch of drunks. He is lazier than his lazy father was. He will never amount to anything. Does any of that sound familiar?

It is a fact that most generational curses can be stopped by refusing to accept the description you hear. I know a good number of people who broke the mold and did not accept someone’s Judgment of them.

It is Insidious how easy it is for satan to mess up people’s lives by what appears to be something said in a joking or silly way. An example like a parent calling their child clumsy, fat, dummy, and many other things they think are funny or harmless.

Remember this, words last for Generations. Good or bad satan makes very destructive words or actions, seem harmless. Choose your words carefully.

Proverbs 16: 24, Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ!

Don’t Help satan

1 Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

I know this probably feels almost insulting, but the truth is, many people are helping satan, and don’t even know it. How is that possible?

satan plays what they call a long game. It is true he likes to get as many as possible today, but the truth is, he is looking at the future for really big numbers.

2 Corinthians 11:3, But I fear, less somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Look at this way. satan tricks someone. They in turn get someone else. As time goes on, the first fallen person grows a crop of hundreds over time. The encouraging thing for us is this system works the other way too.

If we live a good example of a follower of Jesus, others will see and start to follow Jesus too. In the same way, one person starts a hundred over time.

Everyone has to start paying attention to the fact that satan is trying to get them. He tries to discourage, confuse, and insult, and falsely accuse. satan tries very hard to convince people that God is angry with them and has condemned them already.  satan is so convincing, that many of his targets do the same thing to others. So goes the long game.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4, But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. whose minds the God of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God should shine on them.

Don’t miss an important fact. Whatever satan tells us, we can reject. We do not have to follow him or his words, let alone do what he tells us. Remember he’s the king of deceit.

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ, for the discernment and the strength to overcome in Jesus’s name. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Is Perfection Possible

Ecclesiastes 7: 20, Surely there is not a righteous man on Earth who does good and never sins.

When the average person receives salvation, they get so excited that they want to do everything to please God. Great idea, but is it possible?

There are two ways to look at this. We can go the human way, and try to figure out what we should do to please God, or we can let God’s Word and the Holy Spirit guide us.

The best intentions usually fail. We think we can decide something and make it happen by force of our will. This would be like a newborn baby trying to run the marathon in the Olympics.

James 3:2,  for we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to Bridal his whole body.

The real fact is that salvation sets us on a walk with Jesus. He has infinite patience and will use us as we grow. He knows our hearts, and the sooner we realize that the better it will be.

As you go through life with Jesus, you’ll come to find out that you will learn something every day.  Jesus is taking us on a trip to Eternity, and time does not exist for him. He is looking for quality of our lives and in our hearts.

When I was saved, I thought I knew who I was. I could see why things turned out the way they did because Jesus was protecting me from myself. It took years for Him to get me to where I came to accept the truth about me, because He does not condemn us. It is a process that makes you grow.

If you want everything that God wants for you, relax and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and walk with Jesus. Commit everything to Him in your life and you cannot go wrong.

God bless you and your family.  Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Importance Of Forgiveness

Matthew 6:15, If you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things for man to do, but one of the most important things to God. Let’s look at a few situations to get a good idea of what it is all about.

When people violate God’s specific laws, only God can forgive them. Only the love of God can forgive the most horrendous actions by people. We might get angry with the sinner, but what we should do is pray for them, and leave it to God.

Luke 6: 37, judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned, forgive, and you will be forgiven.

An interesting thing happens with people. We see a fault in someone else, especially if it affects us, and we find it very difficult to forgive. What we usually don’t see is the fact that we are often as guilty as the one we are angry at.

Ask yourself this. Would I like to have my standards apply to me? Do you judge yourself the way you judge others?

One more thing. Some see an insult, others don’t. Or what offends one, does not offend another. Each person’s sensitivity comes into play. The best bet is to forgive and walk away. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

God's Promises Sunday

God Did It Right

Hebrews 11:3, By faith we understand that the Universe was created by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

Before time existed, God Almighty created the universe. He put each piece of it in order and established how each would function. With each following instructions, there would be order instead of chaos and destruction.

When God created man, God knew that order was needed. God had a detailed plan for every person who would ever live. You might call it a set of rules.

There were rules each bit of creation had to follow. For instance, gravity. No exceptions. Everything behaved in a way that man could count on. The sun rose and set, because God said so.

When you think about it, there are countless trillions of cells for each item of creation, with each one having a special task to make the whole function and reproduce itself.

A tree is wood. Let’s assume man wants it plastic instead. He can make a plastic tree, but he will not have a real living tree. The laws as established by God through nature, cannot be changed, only adulterated to produce a fake.

The population of the world is eight billion people. If we go along with the idea that each person has their own version of Truth, how can we not destroy ourselves with more and more outrageous ideas and confusion? It is time to stop the craziness and follow God’s law.

If you want to have a rabbit with three ears, I suppose you might be able to add one with surgery. The ear would not function as designed and would not show up in the next generation. The whole point is man makes his feeble attempts to improve on what God did, but that is impossible because the laws of nature and God never change no matter what. It’s time to look at reality.

Psalm 33:6-9, By the word of the Lord, the Heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; the Lord puts the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord.  let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!  For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.

God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

In The Garden

Psalm 23:1-6, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me besides still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His namesake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, you’re rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

When Man was created, our creator put man in a garden. It was the ideal life in the ideal place. Everything was perfect. No sin, no sorrow, just the presence of God Himself and His pure love.

When sin came into the picture, man had to leave. What man found because of sin was the exact opposite of what he had known. The Earth was evil, and life was dangerous. God was distant.

Man has struggled ever since. When Jesus came on His rescue mission and died for our sins, when we repented and accepted Jesus as our savior, he made us right with God. We get another chance to get it right.

Since we always carry Jesus in our hearts, we can take advantage of the situation. Have you ever considered recreating the experience of the garden with Jesus in your heart.

Get away by yourself and talk to Jesus about everything in your heart. Soak in His love and light. Wallow in the beauty. Get your daily treat. Bridge the gap between here and there don’t let a day go by without Jesus.

Micah 6:8, He has told you, oh man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember, Jesus loves you.
