My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Forgive Again

Matthew 6:14-15, For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will forgive you, but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Jesus taught the Lord's Prayer. And it says “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”.

Jesus was very adamant about forgiveness. Matthew 18 23-25 tells of a king who forgave a 10,000 Talent debt owed to him by a slave who begged for mercy.

The forgiven slave confronted one of his slaves who owed him one hundred denarii. This slave also pleaded for mercy, but was refused and thrown into prison.

When the king heard of this, he summoned the one who had been forgiven so much, called him a wicked slave for not forgiving the one who owed so little, and handed him over to be tortured until he paid that huge debt.

As I thought about this Parable, I realized that each of us owes a debt we cannot pay to our Heavenly Father. That debt is our sins that we cannot possibly pay for.

Jesus died in order to pay our sin debt in full. Should we not forgive someone who sins against us? Anything done to hurt us is minor compared to what we do to almighty God. God continues to forgive as we continue to sin.

Ephesians 4:32, says, be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

God bless you and your family.

 Remember Jesus loves you.

 Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

Amen
