The Greatest Sadness

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

Each of us has experienced times of sadness or despair. When we lose a loved one, or someone we know is injured, loses a job, or a myriad of other things. It is normal for us to react in relation to the severity of the problem.

Well there are many reasons to be sad or despair, one of the most heart-wrenching events for a Christian, is the death of a loved one who did not accept Jesus as their savior.

Acts 4:12, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Before there was anything, God envisioned each person He would create. He knew every detail from birth to death. He entered each person's name in The Book of Life. God spelled out the fact that He would not erase the names of those who were saved.

Exodus 32: 32 - 33, but now if you will forgive their sin - but if not, please block me out of your book that you have written.  But the Lord said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot out of my book.

Revelation 21:27, But nothing unclean will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

From these verses you can see that not everyone's name will stay in the book. Realize this, each person has a chance to stay in the book, even seconds before physical death. Death is final, no more chances. The same holds true for those who accept Jesus as their Savior and repent.

We must ask the Holy Spirit to help us speak to someone who is lost. We must earnestly pray for their salvation. This is what God told the prophets.

Ezekiel 3: 18 - 20, if I say to the wicked, you shall surely die, and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. but if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity but you will have delivered your soul. Again if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits Injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand.

In a way, we have the same responsibilities as a prophet, but to a much smaller degree. We must do what we can with the help of the Holy Spirit to plant the seed of Salvation. We have The Holy Spirit who will make it grow. If we do not try to talk to someone we know who is lost, we are shirking the duty we have as a Christian.

Just to clear up the meaning of the verses above, God was talking to the prophet about blood being required. He literally was talking about the salvation of people because of what a prophet did or did not do. God sent Jesus to save the world. At one point in time everyone's name was written in the Book of Life. and there's only one way to get your name out of The Book of Life and that is to reject Jesus. So you see my friends, we must all do what we can, including sincere prayer for the Lost whether we know them or not. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you

 Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise the Lord!

Amen
