A Case Of Common Sense

Colossians 1:16

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work

One the most divisive discussions,  that creates downright hostility, is the one about God and creation, versus evolution. The subject ranks right up there with politics in raising blood pressure.

First let us take a look at evolution. Many scientists would have you believe that the billions or trillions of cells in all living things is a random occurrence, caused by space dust or some other nonsense. And to that, sent to and how each cell depends on other cells for everything, including duplication of the original being, and it borders on the impossible.

Next we look at God in creation. In order for anything to exist, it had to be designed by someone. Take the simplest thing. Can man duplicate the form, function, and interaction of any cell or cells in a meaningful way? Think about your body and how you breathe, and what it does. It works even while you sleep, providing oxygen all through your body so everything can function properly. A random action?

Evolution: when life ends, that's it. What was the purpose of living and doing anything if it is useless. Life would be like that of an animal just surviving by instinct and not even thinking. I'm not criticizing animals I'm just trying to make it simple.

Creation: an afterlife. Returning to God for all eternity. We are created in God's image as spirits who will not die. We are here to do the work of our Creator to help others, and to reflect Jesus light.

I am not a scientist, just someone who tries to use a little common sense. When I look at creation and evolution, creation makes much more sense to me. It explains a real possibility rather than some fantasy. One thing I didn't say earlier that I say now. Evolution requires no responsibility or accountability, whereas creation does. Maybe that's the whole difference between the way people look at.

Genesis 2:7

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
