The Harvest

Luke 10:2, Jesus said to them, the Harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into his Harvest.

Jesus said these words to His disciples as He sent them out to teach. It was their time to put into action what they had learned.

Although some theologians believe discipleship and miracles ended with the apostles, many others disagree with that idea. I for one believe that if you are saved, and follow the Bible, abide in Jesus, and He in you, you are every bit a disciple.

Romans 2:13,  for it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous in God's eyes, but the doors of the law who will be justified.

These words written so long ago mean the same thing they did  then. We do not have Jesus in the flesh, but we do have Him in spirit, and His word the Bible.

1 Timothy 2: 4,  this is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

It is the duty of all believers to labor in the Harvest of souls, just as God's word directs. God did not call us to Salvation so we could have a lazy, easy, comfortable life. It is just the opposite. He wants us to be like Jesus, and bring others to believe.

One of the best ways to bring people to seek Jesus is to ask the Holy Spirit for help and guidance. Then be an example to all of how a follower of Christ should live. Pray everyday for people you meet, even in passing. They may not know you did, but it can change their lives. The fact is God knows and that's all that counts. When you get up every morning, commit your day to the Lord , and ask Him to guide you through the Holy Spirit all the rest of that day, and if the spirit prompts you to do something, Do it. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

John 3:16-17, For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Amen
