My Time With Jesus Tuesday

 The Meaning Of Life

Ecclesiastes 1:9, That which has been, is what will be, that which is done, is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. The Book of Ecclesiastes was written by the wisest of men, Solomon. Many people who read this book think that there is so much despair in it, that there’s nothing in life but waiting for death.

This Book contains many things we have experienced in our lives. You may start to wonder if God really is loving and just. He really is if you know Him.

Solomon has in fact told us how to succeed and be happy by revealing his life to us. The Book of Ecclesiastes is a story of success when we analyze his frustrations.

His observations are a guide to our success. If we pay attention and meditate on his words, the Holy Spirit will put the truth in our hearts. As a matter of fact, we should ask the Holy Spirit for help and guidance before we do anything, and He will do it.

Ecclesiastes 9: 2, all things come alike to all: one event happens to the righteous and the wicked; to the good, the clean, and the unclean; to him who sacrifices, and him who does not sacrifice; as is the good so is the sinner; he who takes an oath as he who fears an oath.

To boil it all down, Ecclesiastes tells us that however old you are you can profit by Solomon’s experiences. Since we have zero control over anything it would be wise to pay attention to the one who really is in control, the Lord God Almighty, the creator of the universe and all that is in it.

We find in Ecclesiastes that things in life are generally worthless. Things we work so hard for, disappear either through misfortune or death. The older we get; we should be able to see the worth of what we strive for.

God wants us to enjoy life and to count on Him for everything, one day at a time. We were not created to serve countless gods, only the true God. If we put our God in first place in our hearts and trust Him, He will give us peace, Joy, happiness, and fulfillment.

When we die, our prized possessions will go to someone else. Ask yourself, did I strive so long and hard to accumulate so that someone else who did nothing, receives it all? Here’s a thought. The people who benefit from what you leave may even be corrupted by it.

! Peter 5:6-7, therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you.

It is as simple as that. Put everything in God’s hands, and joy and peace will follow. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

 Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

The Greatest Gift

Luke 2:1-7, And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So, all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph went up From Galilee out of the city of Nazareth, entered Judea to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary his betrothed wife who was with child. So it was that while they were there the days were completed for her to be delivered, and she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a Manger because there was no room for them at the inn.

Most of us have heard the story of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Did you know that there are some interesting facts that show the Lord God almighty’s Hand in it?

Yeshua is Jesus Hebrew name, and it means deliverer or savior.

The word Magi is Latin for sorcerers.

The Greek spelling of the word Bethlehem means House of Bread. The bread of God is that which descends from Heaven and gives life to the world. An appropriate birthplace for Jesus who is the bread of life.

The whole point of all this is simple. How can you be grateful and joyful about Jesus birth if you don’t know Him? And why did He come and do what He did? What are we missing out on?

The facts that I showed you in this message point to a very important fact of life. I could tell you He died for our sins. I could tell you about things He did. But the truth is just making a statement is not powerful if you don’t know the context. We have the Bible to explain who God is, what He did what He is doing, and why He is quick to forgive, and why He loves us so much.

The fact of The Lord Jesus Christ’s’ birth is just the beginning. The rest of the story of our salvation is told with the crucifixion. These two are connected, because without both, there would be no salvation for anyone. The joy of the Lord Jesus Christ birth comes from the fact that he is our savior, and He came to save us because we could not save ourselves.

Some other facts that you might find interesting and encouraging are also listed in the Bible. For instance, He is always with us. When He rose from the dead and went back to His Father, He sent the Holy Spirit to help us in our journey back to Him.

When we read the instruction book for anything and follow those instructions we have success. If you don’t know all the bells and whistles of your car for instance you may be driving it for a couple of years and not even know you could have been doing something that would add pleasure to your driving. It is the same with life on our trip through it. The Bible is our instruction book. If we put our hearts into studying it, and following it, we will accomplish what God intended for us to accomplish from the beginning.

So, this Christmas season we should be joyful no matter what is going on in the world. The Bible tells us soIf we are saved, we are in the world but not of it. You might like to read Psalm 91 for a little extra encouragement.

It all started with the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The greatest gift any of us could receive, and it comes right from God Almighty Himself. So have a joyous Christmas and don’t forget to follow the instructions. God bless you and your family.

Consider This

It was the night before Jesus came and all through the house not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were laying on a shelf without care in hopes that Jesus would not come there. The children were dressing, crawling into bed, not once ever kneeling or bowing their heads. And mom on her rocker with baby on her lap was watching The Late Show while I took a nap. When out of the East, there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash tore open the shutters and threw up the sash. When what to my wondering eyes should appear but angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun setting forth the bright ray I knew in a moment this must be the day. The light of His face made me cover my head, it was Jesus returning just like He said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself. In The Book of Life which He held in His hand was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name when He said ‘it’s not here’ my head hung in shame. The people whose names have been written with love, He gathered to take to His Father above.  with those who were ready He arose without a sound while the rest were standing around. I fell to my knees, but it was too late. I cried as they rose out of sight. oh if only I had been ready tonight. In the words of this poem the meaning is clear the coming of Jesus is drawing here. There’s only one life and when comes the last call we’ll find that the Bible was true after all.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Doing The Lord’s Will

Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established.

Psalm 90:13 And let the beauty of the Lord Our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.

When a person is saved it is common to be so excited that they want to serve the Lord God Almighty. They usually think about preaching, working at a homeless shelter. and all kinds of things. I have a pretty good idea what I’m talking about because it happened to me.

Matthew 5:13-16, you are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house: let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.

As great as it may sound serving the lord it is usually our ideas we pursue. Remember that our Creator had a plan for each of us before the Earth was even created. His goal is to give us a blessed life and eventually come back to Him for all eternity. When we are saved, we are entering a contract between God and us. We cannot hope to fulfill our end of the contract if we never listen to what God is telling us to do.

Colossians 3:17, and whatever you do in word or deed do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Colossians 3:23, And whatever you do, do, it heartily as to the Lord and not to men.

The biggest job our Lord God Almighty has for us is to help other people find the Lord Jesus Christ. If you pray about what God wants you to do and you aren’t getting an answer concentrate on getting your family and relatives saved. Show them by your example.

James 2:17-18, Faith by itself if it does not have works is dead. But someone will say you have faith and I have works show me by your faith without your works and I will show you my faith by my works.

Keep this important fact in mind. The Lord God Almighty decides what each of us will do and when. In God’s eyes doing what He wants us to do with all our hearts is just as important as the highest job He calls someone to do.

Even if you are part of one person in your family finding the Lord Jesus Christ by your example, you are just as great as Billy Graham in God’s eyes.

One more thing. If we complain about our past or present, we are in fact telling the Lord God Almighty that He made a mistake when it comes to us. Put your life in God’s hands and do your best with whatever He gives you to do, and you will be blessed. Only God decides who, when, what, and where. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

No Problems

1 Peter 5:6-7, And therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.

It may seem kind of a strange thing to tell someone about having no problems. The fact is a problem is what you make it. The Lord God Almighty foresaw what we would be going through so in His word we find the answer, and that is in the verse today.

Many times, in the past, I have used this verse. Every time I thought about 1 Peter, it made so much sense to me that I had to pass it on. The message in this verse is hard for most people to grasp and put into action. I know that to be true because at one time I struggled with it too.

Philippians 4: 6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The fact is, when I cast my cares to our Lord, He never let me down. I never saw prayers answered so fast, and in a way that turned out so good. As a matter of fact, the Lord Jesus Christ is so faithful in taking care of every kind of situation, that I sometimes worry about taking Him for granted.

When you ask the Lord Jesus Christ to take your problem because you cannot do it yourself, thank Him and relax. Believe with all your heart and two things happen. You are praising the Lord Jesus with your faith, and your answer is coming.

Psalm 27: 14, Wait on the Lord; be of good, courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!

This is not a game or magic. It is faith that the Lord Jesus Christ can and will do what we ask in His name. Trusting that He will do it is praising Him and will make it happen.

When you cast your cares because you believe, you will have peace beyond understanding. Don’t spend another day without the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.
