A Perfect Life

Revelation 3:20-21, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will grant to sit with Me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Practically everyone has their own idea of a perfect life. Almost anyone you ask, will tell you they have a dream of what that life would be in every detail. Bubble bursting time. There is no one on this Earth who has a perfect life. Even people who have reached what they thought was a perfect life, ended up being disappointed.

Have you considered that maybe a big part of the problem is the definition of perfect. The definition of perfect is, complete without defect or blemish. Content means, satisfied and happy.

Perhaps we look at things that are unrealistic. Take a rainy day for instance; one person is happy it is raining, and another is depressed because it is raining. There are countless examples in life that tell the same story. There's an old saying that is true now, it will be tomorrow.” Nothing is good or bad, the mind makes it so” So what is the answer? A few things to think about.

It is okay to dream. The trick however is to be happy now. Start looking at what is good in your life now. Look at the basics first, and compare it to other less fortunate people. Do your best with what you have, and you will be happy now, instead of being unhappy thinking about what you don't have.

You may have everything you need in order to realize that dream, but you don't recognize it because you can't see through your negative attitude about your situation. Think about that and the following verses.

Luke 12 :15 , And He said to them, take heed and be aware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.

Hebrews 13: 5, Let your conduct be without covetousness, be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

The goal or dream we should have, is that someday we and our families and the people we love will be with the Lord in Heaven. That starts with salvation. The time is now, the hour is late. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you.

 Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart, as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise the Lord!

Amen

The Harvest

Luke 10:2, Jesus said to them, the Harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into his Harvest.

Jesus said these words to His disciples as He sent them out to teach. It was their time to put into action what they had learned.

Although some theologians believe discipleship and miracles ended with the apostles, many others disagree with that idea. I for one believe that if you are saved, and follow the Bible, abide in Jesus, and He in you, you are every bit a disciple.

Romans 2:13,  for it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous in God's eyes, but the doors of the law who will be justified.

These words written so long ago mean the same thing they did  then. We do not have Jesus in the flesh, but we do have Him in spirit, and His word the Bible.

1 Timothy 2: 4,  this is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

It is the duty of all believers to labor in the Harvest of souls, just as God's word directs. God did not call us to Salvation so we could have a lazy, easy, comfortable life. It is just the opposite. He wants us to be like Jesus, and bring others to believe.

One of the best ways to bring people to seek Jesus is to ask the Holy Spirit for help and guidance. Then be an example to all of how a follower of Christ should live. Pray everyday for people you meet, even in passing. They may not know you did, but it can change their lives. The fact is God knows and that's all that counts. When you get up every morning, commit your day to the Lord , and ask Him to guide you through the Holy Spirit all the rest of that day, and if the spirit prompts you to do something, Do it. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

John 3:16-17, For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Be A Leader

2 Corinthians 5:17, If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed away, and see, the new has come.

Marriage can be a tough road if it doesn't follow God's plan. We are told that we should not be unequally yoked. It simply means a believer should be married to another believer, so that they are both living God's plan.

The husband has been designated by God to be the spiritual leader of the home. He is to ensure that the people God put in his care, wife and children follow the Word of God, by teaching and example.

Ephesians 5:25,  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her.

Ephesians 6: 4, fathers don't stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Before a leader tries to change someone else, they must be sure that they (the leader) is not guilty of the same thing. There is no place for a  hypocrite leader in a family. Do as I do, is the only way.

Hebrews 13:8,  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Since this verse is true, it should explain that keeping up with the times or modernizing scripture meaning is not an option. Another example of where people are misled is by saying my God would, or my God wouldn't. This is quite common. The common example is Jesus is the only way to Salvation. Many people take exception to that, and  say my God wouldn't send someone to hell just because they don't accept that idea. They're probably right about their God, but their God is not the God of the Bible.  And wrapping it all up, remember what Jesus said.

Matthew 18: 3, Truly I tell you, He said, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven.

Live with the Bible as your guide at all times. Little children believe without question. Take it from them, that is what Jesus was talking about. Just believe what it says, don't overthink it because God's way is not our way. you cannot explain spiritual things with a carnal brain. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Darkness

1John  5: 19, We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

A brief analogy. Suppose you found yourself in a coal mine. There is no light. You stumble around because there are many tunnels, and you can't see your hand in front of your face. It is so dark that feelings of oppression, depression, and total hopelessness overcome you.

You stumble around, about to lose your mind, you suddenly see a tiny light in the distance. As you stumble, the light gets bigger, and your spirits rise. When you reach the daylight, and breathe the fresh air, you experience total Joy.

If you have eyes to see, you realize that the world we live in, is just as dark spiritually, because satan, the ruler of this world is the Prince of Darkness.

1Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Hate, lies, corruption, and rejection of God, is what satan is all about. He is the top deceiver of all-time. With satan bad is good, and good is bad.

2Corinthians 4: 4, Whose minds the Gods of this age have blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

We can go on and on. Anyone can see what is going on in this world. Some people know something's not right, and some even realize that Jesus is the light their hearts have been looking for. The place to find Him my friends is in His Word, the Bible.

John 8:12, Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying. “ I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life”.

I guess you can't get any plainer than that. Most Christians know by now, Jesus knocks at  everyone’s door,  but not everyone lets Him in. Someday time will run out for this world, and no one knows when that will be. Don't count on being able to decide tomorrow if you want Jesus in your heart, because tomorrow may not come. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

 Remember Jesus loves you

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Jesus Is Coming

2 Timothy 3:1-5, You must understand this, that in the last days distressing times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, abusive disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, and implacable, slanderers, profligate, brutes, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God holding to the outward form of Godliness but denying its power. Avoid them.

Every single day, thousands of people around the world are living their final day on Earth. Most of these people never thought it would be a surprise. They weren't prepared

Are you prepared? I am not talking about the doctor saying “get your affairs in order”. I am talking about being prepared to meet Jesus.

Luke 17: 28 - 30, Likewise, just as it was in the days of lot:  they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day that Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from Heaven and destroyed all of them. It will be like that on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

Matthew 24:37-39,  as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. for  in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the Ark , and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man.

In order to meet Jesus, and all of us will, with a great welcome from Him, we must be saved. Our Heavenly Father calls us. We repent of all of our sins and invite Jesus into our hearts as our personal savior. That simple.

The vast majority of people do not believe that Jesus died for their sins, and rose from the dead. They don't believe the Bible is the written word of God.

Many people have no problem following satan because he caters to their carnal, sinful desires. If you don't believe in God, you probably don't ever give thought that there are consequences for your actions. Final judgment carries severe consequences, for eternity.

Life is like a single molecule of air in an area as big as the universe, infinity. That being the case, how can we compare this life to eternity?

Someday, each of us will wake up in the morning, and not see the evening on this Earth. It is too late when we die. We must pick who we will follow now. Jesus for satan. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Acceptance

2 Corinthians 5:17, So if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new.

There is some confusion among believers and unbelievers about acceptance by God. Today's verse gives you a hint in the right direction. Acceptance simply means that you believe or come to recognize an opinion or explanation is valid.

Acts 2:21, Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Sounds pretty simple right? Actually it is once you understand what is involved.

John 3:36, Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's Wrath.

Now we are getting to it. When we come to Jesus, that is the first step. When we take that step, we are accepting God's standard of living for our lives. If we are truly saved we become new in spirit, and our lives change.

Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Many people that call themselves Christians, think that lifestyles and rules should be adjusted to fit the times as things are totally different than the world was when Jesus walked the Earth. Not true as this verse says Jesus never changes so His laws never change. His ways are timeless.

Calling yourself a Christian and not following God's laws, simply means you are deceiving yourself. I have heard some people say things like ”God will accept the way I am”. That my friends is a thought from satan. It Is true God accepts all who ask for forgiveness, and calls on His name for salvation, but there is more.

God will not accept your sinful behavior, or your unchanging Spirit. He cannot. He is God, you are not. He sets the rules, you don't. Jesus died for your sins, because you could not pay for your sins any other way.

It all boils down to this. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart and mind to show you where you stand. Jesus is the only way, not your way or my way or anyone else's way. When the Bible says Jesus is the only way it means Jesus is the only way. There is only one truth and that is His truth, so do not be deceived. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Closeness of God

Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Isaiah 41:10, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Have you ever felt alone and helpless? Have you ever felt that God abandoned you? Many people have experienced these feelings. Let's figure it out together.

First of all let's consider the facts, and determine if God really did abandon you. To that end let's make a checklist to see just who was abandoned.

Is your heart clean?

How often do you dedicate time to God?

What is His ranking in the things of your life?

Do you read His Word? His plan for you?

To follow His plan, or yours?

Do you treat people as Jesus would?

You can probably find many more examples that would help you determine who abandoned who.  As a matter of fact, none of us are perfect, but God expects us to do the best we can with all our heart.

It is also very important to remember these valuable truths. No matter how much or how bad we mess up, He is there, ready to forgive. God cannot lie, so it follows that, He will never leave you. You have His Word on it.

If you ask the Holy Spirit to help you, He will, because He is the helper, teacher, and guide, that God gave us when we accepted Jesus as our Savior, and Jesus rose from the dead. So my friends take heart, don't be discouraged, it's tough being a human being, but our Creator understands that. He judges the heart, and that is what saves us. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves You
