Plan Future Or Not

Proverbs 3: 5 - 6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your path.

There has always been a debate as to whether you should plan ahead or not. You have the live for today crowd, end the five and ten year plan crowd. Who is right?

James 4 :13 - 15, Come now, you who say, today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit. Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, if the Lord wills, we will live and do this, or that.

The answer you usually get, depends on if the person you are talking to is a believing Christian or not. Yes, I said believing Christian,  in order to separate them from a Christian in name only.

Bible verses teach the real truth. If we don't believe, or act on their truth, it is worthless. We can't just read a verse and sit back and wait for God to answer. When Jesus healed people, they had to act. If for instance He said, take up your bed and walk, and the person just laid there, he would not have been healed.

Proverbs 19:21, Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

After years of not paying much attention to the meaning of verses, the Holy Spirit woke me up, and I started asking Him to explain what I was reading. As time went by, I learned more and more, and the verses became real. I started asking for guidance everyday. I followed what I believed in my heart. I really at that point became a believer. I started asking Him about things that we're coming up. As usual he never ever let me down.

Psalm 27 : 14,  wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage, wait for the Lord!

This verse grew in my heart, I would ask the Holy Spirit about something that I would like to happen. An example was a storage shed. I left the rest to Him as far as when, what kind, and so on. I looked around for one I liked, but I left the timing to Him. I believe if I don't wait for God's timing, it will be a disaster. I know from experience that anytime I try to rush something or make a decision because I thought I knew better, I didn't. At that point for someone like me the smart thing to do is trust the Lord and keep my own two cents out of it. So whether I look 1 day ahead or 5 years ahead I know it will turn out for the best. The best plan is to take it to the Lord with prayer and ThanksTgiving, and leave it with Him. God bless you and your family. Praise he Lord!

Ecclesiastes 7: 14, in the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise the Lord!.

Great Storms

Psalm 107:29

He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Picture  this if you will. You are out on the ocean and you are on a good solid boat, and the sun is shining. You are following a pleasant breeze that is pushing you along. Life is sweet. However, as you go along, the sky starts getting darker, and the waves are getting bigger by the minute. Before you know it, waves are washing over the deck. Pretty scary don't you think?

Matthew 8: 23 - 27,  and when He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, and the boat was being swamped by the waves; but He was asleep. And they went and woke Him, saying, save us Lord we are perishing. And He said to them, why are you afraid, oh you of little faith? Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, what sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey Him?

There are many similarities in these verses, to life in this broken country and world. Up until recently we as a country lived in a place of warmth and sunshine for most people. The stock market was good, unemployment was at an all-time low , and the election was coming. Everything was turned upside down in what seemed like a split second. Nothing made any sense. People were told about all kinds of bad things that would happen, but they didn't believe it.

We are in an incredibly perilous time for our country, and it is  especially dangerous for people of faith. Like the biggest, most violent and destructive storm ever. What can we do?

2 Psalm 34:17-21,  When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their Wicked Ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The Lord knows His, and like a good shepherd, He will protect His sheep. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Grace

It Is Written, Ephesians 2:8-9, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Grace is defined as the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners, and the bestowal of blessings. Favor is undeserved kindness.

You have probably heard the expression "by the grace of God", and may not have realized what it meant. If you look in the dictionary, and it didn't have the Christian definition, you still would not know.

The greatest gift God ever gave to man, is salvation. It is not earned or deserved. To get it, we must accept the One who made it possible, Jesus Christ. Salvation is given to all who accept Jesus as Savior, and repent.

Salvation is not forced on anyone, and it is not granted in a random way. God respects your free will, so each person gets to decide where they will spend eternity. Remember this. God does not send anyone to Heaven or to hell. Each of us decides whether we accept salvation or not, and thereby where we spend eternity.

There is no way man can earn Heaven, or earn forgiveness for their sins. It is by God's grace only, through Jesus. The Word says so. Remember our opinions don't count. Do you really want to take a chance? God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

A Happy Life

Psalm 37:4

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

A happy life is determined by a number of things. We will go into the ways, one at a time. You may not agree with some of them, but that is your choice.

The first thing is recognizing that before you were born, God planned the best life for you. He also gave you a purpose. That purpose was to serve Him, and lead a long happy life for you. The vast majority of people do not know or can't accept that fact. That does not change the truth of it. It just takes some people longer than others to achieve that fulfilled, happy life. Some never do.

Romans 8:28, and we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

Almost everyone grows up thinking that they are in control. If they stopped and looked around with an open mind, they would see all kinds of things happening in the world, and to them, that they have no control over, proving that they are not in control. Only pride makes us believe that we are.

We have a free will, and that allows us to make choices. We can make good choices, or bad choices. Both have consequences, for good or bad. What is hard for many people to accept is that during the course of making our choices, we are deciding our eternity. God is constantly trying to guide those who choose Him. He uses circumstances as a wake-up call in most cases.

No matter how long it takes, or how hard someone's heart is, He doesn't give up. Nothing God does is mean or without purpose. He wants us to live a good, fulfilling life, that leads to Him. So you see my friends, realize that the setbacks, disappointments, and problems are all designed to bring us to God. If we look for Him, we will find Him. We don't lose God, He loses us. So remember, that what you do and decide determines where you spend eternity. God gives you every chance to be with Him if you will listen to His voice in your heart. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Leap Of Faith

Romans 10 :17

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ.

You have probably heard the expression, leap of faith. Have you ever considered what that simple expression really means? The big problem with that old saying is that many people use it to explain what they did in all sorts of different situations. They don't really understand that it does not refer to taking a chance on something..

2  Corinthians 5 :7  says, for we walk by faith not by sight. This verse tells believers that they need to see situations through spiritual eyes in order to please God, and to be successful. The first thing many people say is how do you do that? The answer is simple for a believer.

The Holy Spirit is our connection to God. Father God, or the Lord Jesus tell the Holy Spirit about what each person is supposed to do. The Holy Spirit then tells each of us what God expects from us. You must have your spiritual ears open to hear the Word of the Holy Spirit. The best way to do that is to read the Word of God.

At this point, there are a few things for us to realize and consider. God would not tell us to do something that He was not totally ready to stand behind. The Holy Spirit then tells us in a way we can understand. The Holy Spirit gives us discernment, so we can pick out His message from all the false messages of satan.

When we get the message, our brain tells us it is the will of God, and the Holy Spirit is with us to help us in any way we need Him. All of this is useless if we don't step out and do. When we step out in faith, we are praising God, because our actions are showing that we trust Him to do according to His Word. The other thing is when we do what we are led by the Holy Spirit to do, we reflect Jesus' light to all who come in contact with us.

Stepping out in faith is something most believing Christians do when they believe the Holy Spirit tells them the Will of God in a particular situation. Sometimes you may not even be thinking about it, but the Holy Spirit directs your actions according to God's Word. When you take a leap of faith, you are following God’s plan for your life.. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

 Words Of Wisdom

James 1: 19 - 20

Know this my beloved Brothers, let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Words of wisdom come to us through the Bible.  if we apply them to our lives, they bring peace to our hearts, and joy to our Lord Jesus. If we look at the world today, all we see is turmoil. What we often forget is that God is in control. Since that is true, nothing is out of control. God allows each person a free will. Some people, unfortunately the majority, follow satan and his rules.

So how do you apply Bible thoughts to your life, and situations.  For  answers we need to look at Proverbs 15:1, a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. In Proverbs 25 :28 a man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.

Since we know these truths, and how things are in the world, we can act accordingly. If we are dealing with quarrelsome, fault-finding people, liars, and such, just don't deal with them. Fortunately there still are other people who think the way you do, find them.

A good example for a situation is dealing with customer service in some company. you'll find out that it is not uncommon for someone to promise to take care of your problem, and they don’t..  Don't be angry. They may be preoccupied with their own problems, or following instructions from their boss. Getting angry just frazzles many people or makes them angry. Anger and harsh words never solved a problem, it just makes things worse. It takes practice, but we can all get to the point where we can handle most of those situations.  Just ask the Holy Spirit for help.

The fact is my friends everyone is either directed by God, or by satan. Start your day asking God to help you, and follow where He leads. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Helping Others

It Is Written, 2 Thessalonians 3:13, but as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.

When most people hear that we should all help others, they usually think about money, and get turned off. The truth is, the Word of God goes far beyond money.

God gave His only Son, so that we might be saved. Jesus suffered for us as He did, so that our sins would be forgiven, our minds bodies and souls would be healed, and by calling on Jesus name and repenting, we would receive the greatest gift of all, salvation.

If each of us makes an effort, we can help many people. Small acts of kindness, such as listening to someone who needs someone to care. A few uplifting words to someone who seems to need it.

Then we have physical help. You may have a neighbor who is sick or elderly. Cut the grass, or shovel the snow. Give them a hot meal once in a while. Give them a ride to the store, or to church on Sunday.

Perhaps the most important thing you can do for friends and strangers, is to pray for them and their salvation. If the Holy Spirit leads, talk to people about Jesus. If you practice what you preach, they will listen eventually. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!
