God's Promises Sunday

Do Not Be Discouraged

Joshua 1:9, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Among satan’s tools, one of his favorites is discouragement. He apparently believes that he can discourage even believers if he pushes hard enough.

John 16:23, These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

We have been told that satan knows the Bible front to back, inside out. What we must realize is we have the advantage over satan. We believe the word of God, he doesn’t.

satan thinks he is winning because so many people are with him, and more are coming to him every day. I believe the Lord God Almighty allows him to do what he does in order to fulfill prophecy. I think satan doesn’t even realize the big part he is playing.

1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your cares on Him because He cares for you.

When believers trust in almighty God. satan cannot fool them. We know the truth of the Word of God, so we can give all our cares to our Heavenly Father and have peace in our hearts.

It is like the Bible is a play and each of us has a part to play. We must follow the script to the final act. By reading the Bible, and believing, we are comfortable with the ending.

Psalm 31:24, be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

If you really trust in God to do what He says, you will still have problems but the way you handle them will give you peace, because He is always with you and guiding you in the best way for you to go. Once you start to believe in your heart, your faith will grow. Believers still get attacked with the discouragement tool, but they will not give in to it. God bless you and your family.  Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Praise The Lord!
