Help From God

 Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Have you ever thought about help from God when you weren't desperate? If not, you are not alone. Many people are oblivious to God's willingness to help us for all kinds of reasons. Let's look at a few.

Many people think they are self-sufficient, and can do all things by themselves’ These people cannot, or will not admit they need help. It is a question of pride, regardless of the pain. This is probably one of the worst spots you can be in, because you're so wrapped up in your own abilities, that common sense does not figure into the equation.

Proverbs 3 : 5 - 6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

Most people don't realize how much God loves them and wants to help. People find it very hard to believe that God will help. I guess it's a trust issue. Some people think that God doesn't get involved with people or their problems, so they don't ask God for help. Other people don't even realize that they need help, or they think their problem is too small for God to help. Everyone seems to have a reason for not talking to God.

Psalm 37: 5

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

So now we get to those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior, and know they can count on God for help. These people trust God for everything, and involve Him in all of their decisions. They seek His guidance as a way of life. If you read the Old Testament, you'll see that David always spoke to God. You also see that when the Hebrew people went into a battle without asking God if they should even do it, they lost. When they did consult with God He told them what to do, and no matter what the odds, they were successful.

Psalm 34: 17

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all of their troubles.

So my friends, it may be a good time to consider where you fit in this picture. Life is a stopover on our trip to eternity. God gave the Holy Spirit as a helper, to guide you, and as a teacher to all who accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Being totally honest  about it, the trip to heaven has plenty of potholes, and some hard times. God allows it because it builds our faith. If everything was always perfect, where would faith be? After all, life is the perfect way to find out where you stand with God.

God bless you and your family.

Praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise the Lord!

Amen
