Practical Reasons For The Bible

It Is Written, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
 Many people avoid the Bible, for as many reasons as there are people. This is really unfortunate, because they don't have a clue as to what they are missing.The same people who say they have no time, spend plenty of time pursuing things that have no value to them, and do not improve their lives.
The Bible is difficult for many people to understand most of the time, because they have an old version like the King James. There are so many translations out today, that are so simple, that literally a child can understand. They are written in plain everyday English that we all use.  Some examples are, the amplified Bible, the message, the NLT version ( the new living translation ).
After spending many years in a lifetime without direction, many people finally come to the Bible. With even a little effort it will change their lives for the better. The amazing thing with God is, it is never too late.
Whether you are young or old, the Bible will change your life. It is packed with the wisdom of God, for a great life. Study the words, starting with Proverbs, or Ecclesiastes. Follow the principles outlined, and your life will turn for the best that God has to offer. It is by reading His Word that you find out what His plan for your life is and what He expects out of you and me. It sure beats all of the so-called, self-help books, written by so-called experts. The Bible is the ultimate self-help book, written by God Himself..

World of Choices

Romans 8:6-8

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

John 15:16

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the father in my name He may give you.

Life is like a game. In this game, each player is on his own. Most people don't even realize what the prize is, or its value.

If you play football for example, or you play chess, sooner or later you realize it is almost impossible to win if you're on the defense all of the time. Winners of attack, attack, attack.

As the average person goes through his day, whether he realizes it or not, he is reacting to circumstances that surround him. He is constantly playing defense in a world that is increasingly aggressive.

I found out when I was very young, that if you follow everyone else, you'll end up like they are. If you choose the right people, you can learn a lot, and make choices that will give you a good life. The big problem for most people is, that doing the wrong road is easy, the right thing is very hard most of the time.

God gave us a free will in order to make our own choices. Here is an important one for instance. Most of the world hates and rejects Jesus. No one ever says why. A good thing to do is investigate God. Read about Him, talk to Him, and those who know Him. Have the courage to get the truth, then make your choice. Almighty God gave that right to you. Lead, don't follow others who don't know where they are going or what they are doing, and where they will end up. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Which Reality

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.

There is no need to tell you that we are going through some very hard times. Fear, stress, depression, has overcome many. Even believers in the Lord Jesus,  have moments of doubt.

The other morning, when I was having my private time with the Lord, I was feeling kind of at a loss. I don't mean loss of salvation, but more like discouraged, with the way things are in general in this world. I asked the Holy Spirit to help me, because I know He never lets me down and the answer would be coming.

Well guess what. About 10 seconds later, I got my answer. He asked me which reality I was living. He knew, but He wanted me to think about it.  He explained.

Reality number one. We are living in a world run by satan. That world is filled with rejection of God, hate, lies, corruption, and all kinds of evil. It seems that people in influential positions, are encouraging everyone to spit in God's eye. Truth and justice are non-existent. It seems that most people have their own version of truth.

Reality number two. In God's world, it is sometimes a little hard to live by His ideals because it is spiritual. God's world is full of love, blessings, truth, and knowledge of how much God loves us and takes care of us. When we know Jesus as our Savior we have heaven to look forward to. Incidentally when we look through spiritual eyes, we see what God sees. There are still many people in this world who believe and trust in God. We all receive His blessings, guidance and help through the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit further reminded me that this earth is temporary,  but the spiritual world is forever. Both are reality. Which will you choose?
Deuteronomy 30:15
See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.

Eternal Life

Galatians 6:8

for he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

The subject of eternal life is by its nature, very difficult for most people to think about. Many avoid it  because of fear of death, and the fact that they don't know if there is an afterlife, and if there is, where are they going. It is hard for some people to accept that they are mortal, and there is no escaping eternity.

Another outlook is one of total denial. Many people think that hell does not exist, and that everyone will go to heaven. They choose to remain totally ignorant, or in denial about Jesus, because He is a hindrance to their lifestyle. Since they  convince themselves that Jesus is that hindrance, they also convince themselves there is no consequence, therefore hell does not exist.

Then of course you have people that believe and say that God would not send anyone to hell, because He loves everybody. It's pretty interesting that they say that about a God they don't even know. If they did know Him they would know how wrong they are because it is written in the Bible, which just happens to be the Word of God.

Maybe one of the biggest problems  about eternity is the whole idea of it being forever, We as humans have no idea of what that means, because we have nothing to compare it to. Forever just boggles the brain, because most people are afraid of the unknown.

Well the whole point is, you have a choice. Jesus gave you that choice. Follow Him, forget your ways, and end up in a glorious place forever. You can know that now if you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. There is nothing to fear, if you are on the right side of the question. Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Did Jesus Die For Nothing

It Is Written, John 14:26, but the helper, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
When Adam and Eve sinned, man was doomed, and relinquished his God-given authority over His creation, to satan.
God knew that sinful man, cannot redeem himself, but needed a Redeemer. The only possible Redeemer was the son of God, Jesus.
Jesus came to this earth on a mission of love, mercy, and redemption. He took on the sins of the whole world to Himself. Jesus death and resurrection, forgave all sins for all times, to all who repent. Salvation was now possible.
At His Ascension, He told the apostles that He would send His Holy Spirit to teach, guide, and help all who came to Him. Jesus did all of that for us, so now we must do our part. The Bible tells us how to do that, and the Holy Spirit teaches, guides, and helps, all who listen.
 Since Jesus died for each of us, it is each of our responsibility to follow Him. If we stray from the teachings of the Bible and the Holy Spirit, Jesus death was for nothing. The good news is that His sacrifice was so powerful, that we will be forgiven by repenting and coming back to Him. There is no limit to His love and forgiveness. God bless you and your family. Uncertainty Of Life

Ecclesiastes 2:11

Then I looked on all the work that my hands had done and on the labor in which I would; and indeed all was vanity and grasping for when there was no profit under the sun.

Did you ever just relax empty your mind, and just let it wander?  It is truly amazing to come to the realization that you can beat the system.

Maybe someone you know walks in fear, and worries about everything. This type of person never seems to enjoy life because he lives in a fantasy future. By living in a fantasy future, he is trying to somehow put what is going on in his life in the past.

Think about this. Suppose you have a dentist appointment in two weeks. You can worry yourself sick by imagining every single thing that can possibly go wrong, and even some things that are so far out that it is basically impossible.

Now for the truth. The dentist visit will take about an hour. If this person spends 14 days, 24 hours each day, being controlled by fear and worry he is destroying those 14 days. The poor guy cannot get a good nights sleep because his mind is going all the time.

Remember this, everything has an end, the good and the bad. None of us know when you do something for the last time. I am not talking about death As an example suppose you like to play golf. If you knew you would never play again, would you make the most of it?

The fact is my friends, you will never know when you did something for the last time, until at some point in the future, you realize that fact. Whenever you do anything, put your whole self into it, without fear, and enjoy it, because you may never do it again. Someone once said, live each day as though it were your last, because some day it will be.

In order to get it right, and beat the system, at the same time, you have to give up fear, and uncertainty, and go to the truth. In the world we live in, the only source of truth is God's Word, the Bible. Every morning, give your day to Jesus. Thank Him for giving you another day. Live it like it is your last. Trust in Him to give you peace. You may not realize it, when you fear anything, you're putting your faith in satan. I say that because when you fear, you are believing in what he is telling you.

When you accept Jesus as your Savior, He accepts you as part of His family.He takes care of everything you trust Him with.You no longer have to be in the trap that most people are in, you can beat the system.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.

A Possible Bright Spot

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people were called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

After living on this earth many, many years, I sometimes remember when I was much younger. Many people call it the good old days. I will try to make an honest comparison with today, just the facts, and nothing but the facts.

When I was in high school, the number one crime committed by a student was smoking tobacco.  If a person was real delinquent, he drank beer behind the school, or in a secluded spot outside of school.

If a girl or woman got pregnant and was not married, it was a disgrace that stuck with her for life.  If she was foolish enough to get an abortion, she literally took her life in her own hands. Abortion was illegal, and performed by people who were more like butchers.

Homosexuality was not only illegal, it was a disgrace. Transgender people were pretty much unknown, and there was no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage was between a man and a woman. No one questioned their gender.

The media and regular people, couldn't help but lie, so we were taught that you can't believe what you hear or read.  Today it is mostly hate, and fear that you see and hear. The goal seems to be to destroy other people in every way, and if possible destroy the country. I guess you can see what I am getting at. The country and the world keep looking for and finding ways to reject Jesus and slap Him in the face.

Now for the possible bright spot. If enough good people get sick and tired of all this evil, they will start and stay with our opening verse until it happens.one last thing whether people believe in God, heaven, or hell, it is what God thinks that counts. We are warned in the Bible, he who has ears let him hear, he who has eyes, let him see.. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

2 Timothy 3:1-5

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away.
