Tuesdays Coffee Time With Jesus

A number of people have shown an interest in a recent blog called coffee with Jesus. It seems that there are a couple of people who want to hear more about our daily coffee time, on a kind of ongoing thing .

We at the ministry, based on requests, have decided to make Tuesday coffee with Jesus day. We will do this for six consecutive Tuesdays. Each Tuesday we will give a brief account of the previous weeks coffee times. If it is helpful, and people are interested, we would consider extending it indefinitely.

We would appreciate any comments you have, good or bad. Please email us, to let us know what you think, as well as any requests you may have regarding specific subjects or verses for other blogs.

As always, we sincerely pray. that by the inspiration of the  the Holy Spirit, many people will be called by Him, to read them, and benefit from them. God bless you and your family.

Declare Divine Favor

It Is Written, Psalm 84:11, for the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Another way to look at God's favor, is to see His blessings. One thing we must understand from the start is, blessings like salvation are a gift from God. We cannot earn salvation or blessings.

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, and the fact that He died for our sins, we become righteous in God's eyes, and become a child of God.

Just as human parents love their children, and have a warm spot for them, especially when the child loves them back, and does what they are told, how much more the Father loves us.

We give gifts and do some special things, for those we love. They don't have to earn our favor, we just bless them. As a child of God, just tell our Father that you are grateful for His favor, and enjoy. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves You

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.

Thank You Lord

Amen

Unknown Helper

John 14: 26

But the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in My name; He will teach you all things, and bring to  your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Today the message is about one of the greatest blessings man can receive. The sad part is, most people know little or nothing of this blessing. Most churches have barely talked of it for hundreds of years. That blessing is the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2: 38

Then Peter said to them, repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

When we repent our sins, and accept Jesus as Our Savior, we instantly receive the Holy Spirit. There are so many incredible things we could talk about concerning the Holy Spirit that it would take volumes in order to do it. With that reality in mind, I will just mention a couple of them here.

Many people feel that they don't know how to pray in a way acceptable to God. No problem. Since the Holy Spirit is always with you, spill your heart out to Him. The Holy Spirit will take your sincere jumbled thoughts, and present them to God Himself as a perfect prayer.

Next thing is something I cannot do without. The Holy Spirit will take care of your needs, every time you ask Him. Start the day by giving it to Him, to guide you, teach you, help you in the Lord's plan for you. As things come up during the day, ask Him, put it in His hands, and believe. He will never let you down.

Galatians 5:22 - 23

The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering ( patience ), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

When you are saved, you receive what is called, the fruits of the Spirit. These gifts are a guide to living according to God's will. The Holy Spirit helps you to do this too.

The Holy  Spirit is a helper from God, to help us to do God's will. There is no limit to the amount of help He will give us. Keep this in mind however, He is not a servant that will do things that are not according to God's will.

The Holy Spirit has become like a part of me. By that I mean, without Him, it would be like trying to function without a heart. That is no exaggeration, that is pure fact. God bless you and your family.

Praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Coffee With Jesus

It Is Written, Revelation 3:20, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

This unusual title was not planned in advance, but came about all by itself from experience.

I have an office in my home that I use for time with Jesus, reading my Bible, prayer, and writing blogs. It is what my wife calls, a prayer room, a place dedicated to what I do.

I start my day talking to Jesus, and listening for His voice. This morning, I did something I had never done before. I had my morning coffee in my prayer room.

I felt a little strange doing that, but I felt no disrespect toward Jesus. Apparently He was fine with the idea too. I believe that if it was wrong, the Holy Spirit would have told me.

Without even thinking about it, I started talking to Jesus, as if He was there in the flesh. You know how you feel just relaxing with your best friend, saying what is on your mind, and in your heart, stuff like that.

My conversation with Jesus, was overwhelming with peace and love. I say conversation, because it really felt like one. I swear I could hear every word He said. Not out loud , but in my heart. I plan on having coffee with Jesus every morning from now on. That coffee with Jesus gave a real boost to the start of my day, and all the rest of it too. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

The Reason

Ephesians 2:8

For by Grace you  been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Here we are at Christmas once again. This normal time of happiness closes out a tough year for many people. Their happiness and joy has taken a real gut punch. It may be the perfect time to take another look at Christmas.

Christmas was a pagan celebration to bring in the changing of the seasons the winter solstice. The name Christmas comes from the phrase Mass of Christ. The name of Christmas and the date of December 25th was started in the year 336 ad. After emperor Constantine became a Christian,  he proclaimed that date as Christmas.

Over the years, Christmas evolved into a secular holiday for most people. It is a time of family and friends, exchanging gifts, and celebrating together in most of the world, There is little or no connection to Jesus.

In times like these, it is especially important to remember the real reason for the season. Jesus Christ. If we think about many of the things we hear, and see, at this time of year, it is easy for most people to get distracted.

The Angels proclaimed Joy to the world to the shepherds, lowest of the low. That Joy would come when people started to realize what a Savior was, and why He came.

Over the years, what we call hymns, and many of the Christmas carols, we're written by people expressing their Joy and reverence for the Christ Child. The next time you hear songs like Silent Night, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, and many others  think about the words and what they really mean. They will touch your soul. They will awaken your spirit.

A couple of facts to remember. Man was born separated from God because of sin. Man had no way to redeem himself. He needed a savior more than a man dying of thirst needs water.

John 3:16 - 17

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Because of Jesus coming, man could be redeemed. Man was saved from eternity in hell, because Jesus took all of man's sins on himself. He had to die in man's place. When Jesus conquered the grave and satan, man was given Jesus righteousness and was made right with God.

Think about this. If Jesus was never born, as our savior, we would be doomed forever. If He didn't die on the cross and rise again, we would be doomed forever. If all of this isn't a reason for joy, and praising the Lord, I don't know what is.

With those two events in the history of man we have been given a fresh start and eternity with the Lord. God also gave us the Holy Spirit, whose job is to teach us, guide us, and help us to follow the Lord's plan for each of our lives, and to live according to His will. Since Jesus conquered satan and death, we have the Holy Spirit and we have nothing to fear. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

The Unspeakable

Hebrews 9: 27

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and then comes judgement.

This may seem like something too terrible to think about, but it is in fact terrible and at the same time something good. How can it be? There is an explanation to this seemingly contradictory statement. Let's start at the beginning.

John 3: 16 - 17

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

The sad truth is, many people have heard this verse, but do not believe or accept it. They live in their fantasy world where either everyone goes to heaven when they die, or death is the end.

John 14: 6

Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 11:25

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live.

These verses are full of hope for everyone who believes. On the other hand we must realize that denial of these truths does not make the truth go away.

Matthew 7: 13 - 14

For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

There is only one version of truth, and it happens to be God's version. If you don't know who God is talking about, here it is.

Revelation 21: 8

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.

While we are alive, we can turn to Jesus as our Savior. He died for our sins, so we don't have to. All we have to do is accept Jesus as our Savior, believe, and confess our sins.

Mark 16: 16

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

One final word. God does not send anyone to hell. Each person decides for himself where he will go, by his actions in life. With God's Word available to all, what a shame it would be to spend eternity living an unimaginable life in hell. Time is running out. Tomorrow may be too late. No matter how many sins we have, God forgives if we repent. God bless you and your family. praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise the Lord!

Pray For Leaders

Romans 8: 7

For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law, indeed, it cannot.

We are living in times of unprecedented rejection and hatred of God. Our leaders seem to be leading the way in going against God's laws.

2 Timothy 2: 26

And they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

As human beings, we see disaster after disaster every day. It is hard to see what is going on in that hate or somehow Strike Back. Corruption, hatred, and Injustice, are everywhere. Violence is making a huge impact on everyone. It is a time of testing on her face. Let us not forget.

Hebrews 13:17

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with Groening, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Daniel 2: 21

He changes times and Seasons; he removes Kings and sets up Kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

Through the human mind, these verses seem impossible to comply with given the circumstances. Remember this though, God has a plan. By allowing what is going on, God is showing us how things really are in a world controlled by satan.

2 Corinthians 4:3- 4

And even if our gospel is veiled it is veiled to those who are perishing in their case the God of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

If we are really saved, we realize that the only answer is prayer. People scoff at that  idea, and some call it fantasy. Those of us who know in our hearts that God's Word and plans are perfect for those who believe and wait on Him, live with peace in our hearts.

 2 Chronicles 7 : 14

If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

So it all boils down to this my friends. Pray for our leaders, even if you don't like them. As with most things of God, it is simple, but it is hard. Always remember this, God's Word is true and He is not a man that He should lie. He will never ever let you down if you are following His plan and His Word. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.
