My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Apology Vs Repentance

When Peter said to them, repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

As we begin our journey to a perfect life, we must start at the beginning and that is sincere repentance of our sins. Many people today believe they are saved when in fact they may not be. Let me explain.

When you confess your sins, you are telling God that you are sorry. The problem with that is, sorry doesn't cut it. The reason sorry doesn't cut it is that we all have a tendency to repeat time after time the very thing we were sorry for in dealing with however many people.

2 Corinthians 7: 10, for Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; But the sorrow of the world produces death.

So now we see from the verses today that repentance is the doorway to salvation. Repentance does not only represent being sorry for something you did, but it also means that you intend to do 180° turn in your actions in the future. To make a long story short you admit to God that you did something wrong, and when you repent you are telling Him you will never do it again.

If you are confessing your sins to God, and it is breaking your heart thinking about what you have done, it is a good first step. You should tell the Lord that you repent of what you have done, and you regret it so much that you promise not do that again.

As the verse In  2 Corinthians tells us when you have Godly sorrow you will end up repenting which is the all-important issue. In order to even get started on the road to salvation you must repent.

When you repent and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart as your personal Savior, you receive the Holy Spirit in your heart and receive what they call the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Those fruits are a guide that you will follow once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Galatians 5: 22- 23, The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control period against such there is no law.

So now you have an idea where to start. True repentance, acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, belief Jesus died for your sins, His resurrection, indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Now we will be ready to start our journey toward a perfect life. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the Cross for me. By your Stripes I was healed and your Blood washed away my sins. Your Death and Resurrection made my Salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal Savior. Thank You Lord

Amen!

Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

A Perfect Life

Matthew 6: 33-34, But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Everyone would like to live a perfect life, but what is a perfect life? To some people it is having things, you know all this stuff that we accumulate through life. To other people they are thinking about eternal life and living with the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Some people do not believe in anything, including Heaven.

John 3: 3, Jesus answered and said to him, most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

OK, so now we know where to start, but how do we start? The starting point is opening the Bible and asking the Holy Spirit to guide you in what you read, and what you do.

As you put some effort into it you will find that the meaning of born again, is when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You will find that not only did God the Father send our Lord Jesus Christ to this earth to Save us, but He gave us the Grace to be Saved.

Romans 5: 8, But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

So now we are looking at the reasons and the basics that lead to a perfect life. As you can probably figure out from what is written so far that you have a part to play in your own salvation and perfect life.

After we are born again, we receive the Holy Spirit into our lives. The Holy Spirit is sent by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself to be our helper, our guide, and our connection to the Lord Himself.

As time goes on you will grow in spiritual wisdom by pursuing it. As in anything in life, in order to be successful, it must be #1 in your heart. This series of messages will help all of us understand that a perfect life is possible, if we view it from the right place.

I would like to point out that the next few messages, as well as this one, is not some mumbo jumbo magic kind of thing. It is an honest look at how we can achieve the best that we can be. I know you probably heard a lot of people that think the Gospel is behind the times and not relevant, but you will find out it is The guide to everything to make you happy and successful.

As we begin this journey, I'm expecting it will take a couple of messages, but depending on the guiding of the Holy Spirit it may take more. We will find out when it happens. I suggest you think about all of this right now, because you have a decision to make that will affect where you spend eternity.

Today

Psalm 118: 24, This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

As I started my private time with the Lord this morning, I thanked Him for the new day that He gave me. It seems like I hardly finished saying it, and I added, Lord I give it back to you, so I can follow your plan.

As I thought about it, I came up with at least a few of the things God may have planned for me. He can use it for me to get closer to Him. He can grow my faith and love for Him and His words. Another thing He might do is put me into situations that will help me recognize how I relate to other people or things. He will in His kind, loving way, show me where and how to improve. and do it His way.

Matthew 6: 34, therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

I believe God works on His plan for my whole life every day. When I give Him today, and do my best to follow His word, He can take the time He uses for straightening out my messes and turn it to productive work for me.

The Lord also put on my heart, that I must go through my day with joy in my heart, knowing that I am doing His will. He does not want me to do it grudgingly. I believe God really loves when we give the day to Him, because it shows Him that we trust Him to do His best for us. When we have faith and trust in His love for us, He gives us even more blessings.

The other thing is, when we trust Him with all our hearts, we are in fact praising and worshipping Him. Giving the day back to the Lord to do His will for us, is one of the best things we can do. Be prepared for great surprises.

Amen!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Keep Trusting

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

Every single believer gets discouraged once in a while, especially new believers. Most new believers are looking to learn about Jesus, and how the authority Jesus gave us works.

The Bible is the number one source to get to know Jesus. However, many people are intimidated by it, so they find excuses to avoid studying. Many of these people look to preachers on TV to explain everything. Many of these preachers do a very good job in the way they teach and make everything pretty plain.

Psalm 32: 10, many sorrows shall be to the wicked, but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.

We look at Jesus promises in the Bible, and they are wonderful. It seems simple, but it takes faith. We tell ourselves that Jesus does not, and cannot lie, So what He says must be true. Simple right? Wrong. Faith requires believing without seeing in the natural. That my friends takes patience as well as faith.

Isaiah 26: 3, you will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

You pray for something for weeks, nothing seems to happen, because satan stepped in at the beginning to plant doubt and fear in your mind. As time goes on it may get harder to believe, but don't get discouraged. Many times, while you are still struggling, your answer came, but not in the way you expected. satan tries to hide it from you to cause you to doubt and be afraid. Jesus always keeps His word, so trust in that.

As we know, the apostles lived with Jesus for three years, and they still had doubts and discouragement, especially after Jesus died. Jesus didn't condemn them, and He doesn't condemn us.

When you feel nothing is happening with your prayers, or you start to feel impatient or weak, or even like you want to forget it all, and do it your way. Go into a private place and tell the Lord how you feel, then listen for His voice in your heart. He will never leave you or forsake you. God Bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

Hurt feelings

Ephesians 4: 32, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Our message today is about something that causes the most grief among people. This problem also causes trouble among countries when leaders take offense to another country's leader.

So what is this great offense that causes so much grief and turmoil in the world, and in our private lives. Believe it or not it all boils down to hurt feelings. When emotions are in charge, you can count on nothing but disaster whether it is between you and a friend, you and your boss, or your country against another.

Some people almost never feel hurt, while others feel hurt by all kinds of things. If you are someone who lives in a constant state of hurt feelings, it would be a good idea to take a good look at what hurts you and why.

A person who subconsciously feels that the world revolves around them is a likely candidate for being hurt. A self-centered person feels rejection when someone disagrees with them, because it attacks their pride. Pride is one of the deadly sins.

Proverbs 28: 25, He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper.

The fact is when you take a look at all of the things that make us feel that we are hurt, or being persecuted, or nobody likes us, we must realize that things can change, but it might require that we change.

Take a good look at what you do every day. Think about one particular thing each day and ask yourself if Jesus would be hurt by it. A good one might be, do you live like you love Him?

Work on your problem each day until you get a positive answer. One test would be, how are your relationships going? Are they getting better or worse? It would be a good idea for each of us to focus more on Jesus and less on ourselves.

Remember this, pride, strife, anger, are all demonic. You can't be a true follower of Christ if you're following the way the devil wants you to act. Put everything in God's hands and follow Him. You will be amazed to see what it is like to live without overly tender feelings.

Colossians 3: 13. Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must forgive.

Remember this, all conflict, strife, and trouble, must include at least two people. Follow our Lord Jesus Christ and refuse to be one of them. God b\Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves you.

Is Truth Missing

2 Timothy 4: 4, they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables.

Truth is a precious thing. Many times, truth is difficult, because it can make us vulnerable, or just plain cost us something. Not telling or hearing the truth can cost us even more.

Many times, hearing the truth disturbs us, because it isn't what we want to hear. Because of this, we sometimes put a spin on something and try to rationalize it so it fits what we think.

If you need to make a decision about anything, you cannot make a good decision based on fantasy. Facts are critical to everything. If you love someone, you tell them the truth. By telling them the truth, you are helping them to avoid things that can really hurt them. Not telling someone the truth is a sign of disrespect, and when truth is found out it can be devastating to the one who did not tell the truth, as well as the one who heard the lie.

Proverbs 12: 22, lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, and those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Romans 1: 22, who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

People do not realize that when they see something wrong such as abortion and say nothing against it or do anything against it, they are in fact approving of it. You can even go so far as to say that withholding the truth, also makes you guilty of lying.

Sometimes people look at the world and see many things that are done in the name of a person's rights and delude themselves into thinking that all of these people cannot be wrong, so it must be right. The big problem with many people is they want to fit in at any cost.

The word of God, the Bible is still a book of love from God to us, and tells us how to get back to Him, and lead a good life. We cannot bend God's truths to fit what we think. Truth cannot bend. We can't have our own interpretation of what we think God would approve of or disapprove of. Saying my God would not do that, is fantasy and blasphemy.

The truth my friends is what God says it is. God doesn't hate anyone; he just hates what they do. His word says so. One more thing to think about. If we had a book that said every sin we can think of was OK, because a loving God will forgive us even if we don't confess it, it would make many people very happy.

The problem is when we die and face judgment, we find out what we read or did was not the truth, and we're going to hell. At that point, how much would we wish that we had followed the real truths by listening to God's word, and not the word of everyone else.

God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

 The Value Of Prayer

Philippians 4: 6, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

There is an old saying that says, if you want something you never had- you have to do something you've never done. The truth behind this saying is undeniable. It can be applied to many things in your life, especially prayer.

There are many scoffers out there who think that prayer is useless. They are so convinced that they give up before they even start. Many of them never had the right idea about prayer in the first place, so naturally they are disappointed when what they call a prayer does not get answered.

1 John 5:14-15, Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

In order to ask anything of anyone, you must be pretty sure that the one you are asking is capable of delivering what you want. Why is it we trust other human beings, and not God Almighty Himself?

The biggest mistake 90% of the people make is they do not read the Bible. Without reading the Bible you cannot know our Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. You also will never find what is a secret hidden from those who do not seek an answer.

The Bible tells us the truth about who we are dealing with, what they are capable of, and what part we play in the whole idea of prayer. When you really know who you are asking, the fact that they can deliver what they promise, and you stop there and do not pursue, sadly it is your fault.

God does not hide the truth from us. He tells us He loves us with unconditional love. He forgives our sins if we truly repent. He gives us salvation through Jesus Christ. We receive the helper, the Holy Spirit to help guide us through this journey called life.

If any of us knew what God has waiting for us, we would be shocked. All of us must stop comparing Almighty God to anyone we know. If we could live a billion years, we could never figure out what God cannot deliver to those He loves. He loves you too, so don't wait any longer. Start getting what God has to Bless you with. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.
