My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Pray With Confidence

John 14: 16-17, And I will pray the Father and He will give you another helper, that He may abide with you forever- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Many years ago, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to watch a certain show on a Christian network. This particular program is one that I was not very fond of, and it was half over, but I watched it anyway.

The Holy Spirit led me to notice one statement that really made an impact on me. It was an eye-opener that led to other things. He said that when Peter agreed to go fishing when Jesus said let's go fishing, Peter in effect took his boat out of the carnal world and put it under the control of Jesus and the spirit world. The Holy Spirit told Jesus where the fish were, and Jesus told Peter. The little story is in Luke 5: 1-7.

Well, it made sense to me. If something is in the spirit world, it can be acted on supernaturally. I started to wonder if that idea fit other occasions in the Bible. There were so many. Well I had confirmation over a short period of time from other preachers that said exactly the same thing. Everything is in the spirit world, and fervent prayer brings it down into the natural world.

To name a few, there were two incidents where Jesus was telling Peter where the fish are. Then you have the two sermons with 5000 and 4000 thousand men respectively. When someone gave Jesus control of their lunch, it went from carnal to spiritual, where it was acted on, and manifested in the carnal world.

I guess not everyone would agree, but as the Spirit leads you, you will get the idea. The Bible is full of examples if you look. Any problems, and I do mean any problems you give to God with a trusting heart, it will end up in the spiritual world where it can be taken care of.

Another way to put it is this. We live in a carnal world with carnal problems But miracles happen in the spiritual world. So, it stands to reason that the carnal problem must be moved to the spiritual world and the result comes back to the carnal world.

I know this sounds a little strange but if you really think about it, it makes an awful lot of sense, and helps explain many things. To do anything like this, we must give the problem to God in prayer, trusting Him take care of it, and stand on His word. His word works, always. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. Thank you Lord

Amen!

God's Promises Sunday

A New Day

Psalm 118: 24, this is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Every morning when we get up, it is a gift from God. Look at it as a blank canvas waiting for a picture to be painted. The day is the canvas and you are the artist.

The first thing you must realize is that the day begins with a battle between good and evil. It may not be evident, but it really does exist. The battle is decided by whether you choose to follow God or satan. The choice is up to you.

If you start the day committing yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you according to God's plan He will, and you are taking a step in the right direction. I'm not saying there will not be trials because there will be, but you can be victorious.

One of satan's most used tools is to get people to complain about something. It can be their job, their home life, the weather, absolutely anything you can think of we can complain about. The problem with complaining is the Lord hates complaining.

When you feel like complaining, remember that it is a new day that the Lord has given you, and a new chance that you have to do it right, so stop yourself and look at what you are complaining about.

This situation presents a real opportunity to compare yourself to other people in the world. Remember that you are saved. Remind yourself that the Holy Spirit is there to help you, and the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is like a key to success.

Think about where you would be if you didn't have that. My friends, salvation is the only thing that is worth anything. So now when you look at whatever it is you are tempted to complain about, realize how insignificant it is, and that it is a blessing because most people in the world would do anything to be in your position. satan will try to blow it out of proportion, but all you have to do is call on the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and He will help you.

Philippians 4: 13, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Romans 8: 28, and we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose

One thing we must all remember, we were put on this earth for a reason by our creator. It may be as insignificant as speaking to someone for 10 seconds, or being like Moses was. Don't think for one second you are not called to do something.

By getting closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and realizing who the Holy Spirit is, you will live your life the way you are supposed to according to the will of God. That is a good reason to rejoice and be glad every morning as you start your day.

Give It To The Lord

Psalm 55: 22, cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.

1 Peter 5: 7, cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you.

One of the most powerful things we can do in our lives is also one of the most difficult for most people. I am talking about casting your cares on the Lord.

Casting your cares is just what it says. Whenever we have a problem no matter how big or how small the wise thing to do is ask the Lord to take it. Now comes the hard part, you must be patient and believe that He will do what He promised to do.

Putting it in simple terms, if you give your day to the Lord and everything in it, He will not let you down. I got in the habit of saying Lord willing, and then whatever it is. At first it was kind of hard because we all want to feel like we are in control.

The amazing part is, and it's happened to me many times I had a plan to do something, and I ask the Lord to help me and then I just trust Him. Well, a lot of the time I ended up not doing what I had planned on doing that day, I ended up doing something that was lurking in the background causing me a little bit of anxiety.

I have had more problems taken care of in the easiest way possible when I kept myself out of the picture. There are times it was pretty comical because I would plan on something to do for instance next week, and the Lord decided I should do it that day. As it inevitably turns out that was the best possible timing.

Casting your cares on the Lord is the most powerful thing you can do. Trusting the Lord to take care of things can be difficult until you realize just how faithful He is. I talk about casting cares quite a lot, because it is the greatest thing besides salvation that has happened to me. When I look back, I see how things always worked out. An  example I think of, that's how I met my wife. It was in the smallest window of time as they say, add an impossible situation, and you'll get the Lord doing some of his best work.

Philippians 4: 6-7, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Yes, my friends, trust in the Lord and if you have to start out with something small, just trust Him to handle it. I'm not saying He is our servant and He has to do things, I am saying He loves us that much that He would rather take our burdens on Himself then let us suffer with them. God Bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

You Are Forgiven

1 John 1: 9, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The other day I was relaxing, and my mind was kind of wandering. I happened to think about somebody I worked with years ago. I think this is a good thing to mention because a lot of people are bothered with the same problem that he had.

This man was divorced, hated his job, and if there was one chance in a million to make a mistake, he found it. We worked nights at the time, and he was having a tough day. Whenever he had a tough day, he would yell at the top of his voice that God hated him, but that's OK because he hated God.

When he said that I got the chills. I tried to tell him that God did love him, but he didn't want to hear about it. His life was so messed up that he lost his job because of several things he really messed up on. I believe that the devil blinded him to the truth just as he blinds people today.

Since then I've run across more people that are convinced that God hates them too. I don't know the particulars of any of these cases, but it is obvious they carry a deep guilt about something.

If anyone has the slightest idea about how much Jesus loves them, they would have a good starting point. Jesus died for our sins. His death forgave past, present, and future sins. It doesn't matter how bad we messed up, how horrible our deeds were, Jesus’ blood covered it all.

Psalm 32: 5, I acknowledge my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

The only thing we need to know is that His love saved us. If we accept Him and what He did for us. If all the mistakes that are on your conscience are so bad that you hate God, you can have all of them erased. I believe a lot of people who say they hate God, are crying out for help, because they think they are too far gone for forgiveness.

Well, my friends, let me say this. Jesus does not see things the way we do. He looks at us with love in His heart. He sees us as people that were created for Heaven. The truth is, we have to accept what He has done for us.

Remember the story about one lost sheep and how 99 were left in the pasture, while the Good Shepherd went after the lost one? He put that one on His shoulders and brought it back. So, you see, you can never be so lost, that Jesus cannot find you.

Don't waste another day of your life. There's absolutely nothing you can do that is so bad you will not be forgiven. There is one sin that cannot be forgiven,  it is willfully rejecting Jesus and His works. So, forgive yourself, truly repent, accept Jesus as Savior, and spend the rest of your stay on earth with peace and joy, and the love of God.

2 Corinthians 5: 17, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; Behold the new has come.

God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

Who Do You Trust

Mark 11: 24 therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

If you received an e-mail, and it said that a wealthy person in another country ran across your name and felt that they should make you a part of the group that will inherit his millions, but there is paperwork involved, and you would have to send $1000 in order to process that paperwork. Would you believe it?

Life is a series of questions we must solve. We meet people every day at work, in stores, and anywhere else you can name. There are times when you would have to trust them for whatever it is. How would you go about deciding who you can trust, realizing that no system is foolproof.

I personally would have to know the person I am trusting. I wouldn't trust them just because they promise something, or they do something trustworthy one time. I would need to see further proof before I put any trust in anyone. I would certainly give them a chance to prove either way.

In life we have the question of whether we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and eternity with Almighty God in Heaven. Do we just write off and believe it, or do we just reject to begin with. This would be the most important decision you will ever make in your life, because it is the only thing in life worth living for.

The only way you will find out if Almighty God and the Lord Jesus Christ are real, and can be trusted, is through the Bible. The Bible tells the whole story from the day of creation.

Many people look through the Bible trying to find something that they can prove that the Bible is not accurate. They never have. Many people have started out to prove the Bible wrong and to dismiss the idea of a loving savior. By reading the Bible, the only thing they did was prove that Jesus is real and that the Bible is true.

The only thing in this life that is true is the Bible. Reject it at your own peril. I will say this, and I mean this sincerely, when you read the Bible with an open mind asking the Lord to help you understand it, you will find peace in your life and a sense of contentment.

Psalm 37: 5, commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

God Almighty is the creator of the universe. People you run into in your life are just people. They like you are created by Almighty God. Who would you think could be trusted without any doubt because He is perfect and cannot lie? God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. Thank you Lord

God Will Do It

John 14: 14, whatever you ask in My name I will do it.

There is no doubt we live in a turbulent world. To most of us things don't seem to make much sense. Things that happen seem like they shouldn't, and things that don't happen seem like they should.

Sometimes it seems that no matter how hard we try, or how long we think about something, things happen that make all our effort useless. As people say, things just happen.

I guess it wouldn't be too bad if you eliminated things like sickness and crime, all kinds of unpleasant things. But think about it, that would be like being in Heaven and that's not where we are.

So, what are we supposed to do, sit around and mope, complain about the way things are, and worry all the time. My friends, that would also be a bad waste of time. So how do we fix these problems and deal with all these unknown, unforeseen circumstances?

Philippians 4: 6, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

OK, that's a good start. Now here comes the hard part. For prayer to work you have to believe. We all know that when things are going good it is very easy to believe.

When we look at the real hard things in our lives, prayer is still the answer, but it can be much harder to believe. The fact is that the harder it is, and the harder it is to believe, that's exactly when it counts the most.

Almighty God is not a wishy-washy character that answers prayers depending on how He feels. The words the Bible tells us, ask and you shall receive for instance, is true in every sense of the word. Another hard part about prayer, is you usually have to wait for your answer. That again is the place where it counts the most.

I found out years ago what the word of the Lord says is absolutely true. I have never had an experience that prayer was not answered. It may not have been answered in the way I expected it to, or wanted it to, but it was answered for my good.

Believe me when I tell you that I have had many hard times in my life but thank God for most of those years especially the ones starting 20 years ago, I believed. If there was a life and death matter, and it was, several times, or just some ordinary thing. God took everything seriously and helped when I needed it.

My friends, do not ever doubt the word of the Lord. If you do, it will be at your peril, and your loss. Your punishment will be that you will have what you believe if you believe wrongly.

Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Do Not Take God For Granted

Philippians 4: 19, but my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Most people, including Christians, often take things for granted without even realizing it. Why do you suppose that is? Well, it looks like there is no single answer to that question.

We are so used to things happening automatically that we give little or no thought to the fact that they are blessings. We are so spoiled by God's grace, that when something we expect doesn't happen the way we expect, we usually are disappointed and start to doubt.

Suppose you suddenly stopped being able to breathe. Imagine getting up in the morning and you couldn't see. If you think about all these things, you can make a list that would shock you. It is at this point that most of us realize that we have overlooked these blessings, and the fact that we are blessed. We take it all for granted.

It is time we stop taking God Almighty for granted and started to show appreciation for the many blessings He gives us. He does not owe us anything, we owe Him for more than we can hope to repay. Thanking God every day for everything, would take hours. There is a simple solution. Get a notebook, and every day write down one thing, and sincerely thank God for that blessing.

If you write about one blessing each day, you will end up with hundreds over time. Remember, it is by God's grace we are able to get up in the morning, and see another sunshiny day. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.
