The Holy Spirit In You
Galatians 5: 22-23, but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,( patience) kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such there is no law.
Christians know that when they accept our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as their personal savior, they also receive the Holy Spirit.
Many new Christians do not realize that along with the Holy Spirit, they also receive what is called the fruits of the Spirit. These fruits are listed in the first part of this message.
The fruits when exercised, are an indication of how we should live, and they also show others that we are believers in, and followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
John 15: 7, if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
When we get to the point where we are moving with what this verse says, many of us want to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. This step raises our faith higher. It is not mandatory, and we do not lose the Holy Spirit we receive at salvation.
Matthew 3: 11, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, and He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
The Holy Spirit came on the apostles in the form of fiery tongues, After Jesus ascended to Heaven. We are baptized by faith, and being prayed over and pronounced baptized in the Spirit by someone who is themselves baptized in the Spirit.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit entitles us to be used by the Holy Spirit as He chooses. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are explained in the following.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11, But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one in the same Spirit works all these things distributing to each one individually as He wills.
You may be called on by the Holy Spirit to do some of these things many times or one time. It is possible you may never be called on. There are many other benefits that are special, but we will continue that in the next message. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
Remember Jesus loves you.
Prayer of salvation.
My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.
Amen!
Praise The Lord!
