Seeds And Weeds
Matthew 13:24-30, Another Parable He put before them saying, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. While men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. When the grains had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So, the Servants of the owner came and said to him, sir did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? He said to them, an enemy has done this. The servant said to him, do you want us then to go and gather them up? But he said no lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, first gather the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn.
When the Lord Jesus Christ was teaching the parable of the wheat and tares, He was teaching something that can easily explain people and their behavior.
Consider this. Babies are born in very large numbers every day. The rest of the population consists of people of all ages. We do not know what babies will be like when they grow up, but we do know what adults are like because of their behavior.
Just as seeds require certain conditions to fulfill expectations, people do too. We cannot look at a seed or a person and make a judgment on how they turn out.
As with anything, some thrive in harsh conditions, but most do not. People are the same way.
Anything is possible. The Lord God Almighty tells us not to judge people because only He really knows each of us. We should never think that this person is saved or that one isn’t. If we can then condemn certain people, it would be like pulling up wheat and weeds together before their time
If we meditate on Proverbs, we will get a good start on our own way to Salvation. Jesus Christ didn’t teach for fun, He taught them to give us examples in terms we could understand.
God bless you and your family.
Praise The Lord!
Remember Jesus loves you.
