According to God's Will

Ephesians 6: 18, Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the Saints.

I've always wondered how a person can figure out how to pray according to God's will. I knew we should pray from the heart, but how do we get to that point? I finally smartened up and I asked the Holy Spirit for an answer, not knowing what would happen.

At my lowest point I asked the Holy Spirit a few more times. One day I thought about praying about a problem I was having. A couple of hours later, and the problem was gone.

John 15: 7, if you abide in Me, My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Now I took everything seriously and started asking the Holy Spirit about everything. Each time I waited for an answer, and it didn't take very long until I got them. I got greedy about that power and started to look for everything I could find about prayer and the Holy Spirit.

I looked for the old time preachers, like Charles Spurgeon, and it began to pay off in a big way. I saw many things about abiding in Christ and his words abiding in me. I also ran across a big reason yes please don't get answered.

James 4: 3, you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

I also found out that Almighty God has already done everything that would ever be done in each person's life. It was for us to receive those things by prayer in order to bring it from the spirit world to our world. 

When you really analyze that last statement and it's been confirmed by others, Almighty God puts in our hearts what to pray for. He does this through the Holy Spirit. So,, if you are sincere in your prayers and you are letting God's word abide in you, the Spirit will guide you.

Until you are very familiar with the way the Holy Spirit talks to you, it might be a good idea when something comes into your heart about what to do, take a half a minute and ask the Holy Spirit if that is really Him talking to you. If you ask Him in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you feel peace about what the answer is, then do it.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. 

Amen!
