Valuing Other People

It Is Written, Philippians 2:4,  let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Valuing other people is something we don't usually think about.  Even family members are not consciously valued.  It is something that we may not even know how to do.  In order to value a family member or anyone else, we must forget our own feelings, and think about how others affect our lives.
Let's use parents for example.  From the time we are born parents take care of us.  As we grow, they provide our necessities and wants, even if they have to sacrifice their wants and feelings.
Parents have what we call unconditional love.  They love us no matter what, and forgive everything. They are who we go to when we are hurt, physically and emotionally, and even in our storms of life.
Parents try to guide us in the ways to a better life in the future.  They show us by example, and they do the best they can.
If we stop to think about the value to us, what they do is priceless.  Instead of complaining about what we think they did wrong in our lives, we should realize what they did right, and treasure them. Tell them and show them what they mean to you.
This type of thought does not apply only to parents, but to siblings, friends neighbors, coworkers.  If we really stop and think about the people that we interact with every day, there are many people that help us, teach us, give us a kind word, even help us physically with a problem.
People such as the mailman, the policeman, and many others that we take for granted, are good examples, and there are many more.  I personally never realized how easy it is to take advantage of somebody, or not recognize what they do for us, because they just do their job.  I for one am going to make more of an effort to appreciate the other guy.  May God bless you and your family.  Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me.  Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
Amen
