After a number of years of hearing about casting your cares on the Lord, I decided that this might be too good to miss. First thing I did, was asked the Holy Spirit about the exact meaning of the verse.
The best way to describe it, is that it is the complete reliance or dependence on God to take care of a problem we have. It can be for a healing, finances, finding a job, you name it.
Most of us go through life worrying about everything especially, tomorrow. We hear the news or watch it on TV, and we worry. All of a sudden we develope the sky is falling mentality. Many of the media sensationalize the news in order to get better ratings and as a result they scare most people, or make the situation worse. Don't get me wrong, they do print some truth. However if you are a child of God, you don't have to panic by whatever they say.
Another verse that fits this message is, "the just shall walk by faith and not by sight". What this means is that we are to trust God to take care of everything, and not pay much attention to what is going on in the world. So if you call it casting your cares, walking by faith, or dependence on God, it is all the same.
God wants to take care of His children. He does the best job, when we tell Him the concern we have, and ask Him to handle it. At that point we have to stay out of it. God knows every little thing that has to happen to get us the best solution. We must depend on God at all times. It is not a problem for Him, because He wants to care for us, and after all He is God.
When you decide to depend on God, you'll find the results are much better, and you have far less stress. Even the world situation will not cause you to panic. It's like getting a whole brand-new life. Have a blessed day. Praise Lord!

Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
Amen
