The Bible Dilemma

It Is Written, John 1:1, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
As you know, the Bible is the Word of God.  It is an instruction manual that explains how to live a good life, and get to Heaven.  We know that God is not capable of lying, so it stands to reason that His Word must be true.  The key to everything is to have faith in, and trust God.
The average Christian doesn't read the Bible very often, so he usually doesn't have a clue how it all works according to God's plan.  Many people hear bits and pieces from other people.  They hear the parts they like, and latch on to them.  What they don't like they ignore.
People hear that God said things like "ask and you shall receive, whatever you ask the Father in My Name and believe you will receive.  They pray for all sorts of things, thinking that they only need to say the words.  They expect instant results and if it doesn't happen just that quick, they begin to doubt.
After a few days, they question the truth of God's Word.  Some people even question the whole Bible.  Once you do that, it not only cancels your prayer, but opens the door to satan.  At that point his goal is to separate you from God.  He will hammer you with things like, how useless prayer is, how God doesn't hear or care.  Have you ever considered, that the devil keeps you from reading the Bible, and he wants you to stop praying.  If you don't snap out of it and ask the Holy Spirit for help, the devil will make your life miserable.
The Word of God is true.  God answers every prayer with what is best for you, in His time, and in His way.  Don't ever doubt God's Word.  Stand on His Word in faith, and you will receive what you ask.  You will find that things work exactly as the Word of God says they will.
When you study the Bible, and believe what it says, and do what it says, you will get what it says.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!

Authority Over satan

It Is Written, Mark 16:17, and these signs will follow those who believe.  In My Name they will cast out demons;  they will speak with new tongues.
Most of us are familiar with some of the obvious signs of satan at work in our lives.  There are some things he does that are not so obvious.  Let's take a look at some things we may not quite realize.
satan gets all puffed up with himself, and tries to bully us into thinking he is in charge.  He isn't.  Jesus gave us authority over satan.
One of his favorite times to attack you, is when a prayer hasn't manifested yet, and you are feeling a little down.  He tries to get you to get angry with God, or to give up on prayer.  That is when you need to rebuke satan and stand on God's Word.
He may put thoughts in your head, hoping you will fall for it.  He wants to get you against God's Word, so that he can put guilt and condemnation on you.  If he can get you to do that, he will then try to convince you that God will not forgive you.  Thoughts are not sins unless you act on them.
satan is a spirit, God is a spirit, and we are spirits.  What sets us apart, is the fact that we have bodies.  Spirits can do nothing on earth without bodies. Therefore, we either do God's work, or satan's work.  God will not force Himself on us.  Because of the authority Jesus gave us, satan cannot force us into anything.
We have been commanded by Jesus to cast out demons by His authority and His name.  As a result, we decide if we will follow God, or satan, by the doors we open.  I repeat, God will not force us, and satan can't, unless we agree.  Because of the authority Jesus gave us, we can rule in our world, simply by calling on that authority in Jesus name.  Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Faith

It Is Written, 1 John 5:15, and if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked Him for.
When we pray, we sometimes unknowingly set ourselves up for disappointment, and even some depression.  This is especially true when we pray for healing.
We know from the Bible that Jesus healed countless numbers of people.  He did the impossible everyday.  It wasn't just healing miracles, but all sorts of miracles.  Turning water into wine, feeding thousands of people on two occasions with someone's lunch, walking on water, raising the dead etc.
In what turned out to be Pentecost, He gave the apostles the great commission.  Basically He said that we should do what He did, and gave us the authority to do it using His name.  He simply said do it.
The Bible tells us many times, ask in My name and receive, by His stripes we are healed.  The Bible also tells us of miracles the apostles did in Jesus name.  We figure that if we were afflicted with something in Jesus day, and went to Him, he would heal us instantly.
When we pray, most of us expect to receive what we pray for instantly based on the way we interpret what the Bible says.  If it doesn't happen, satan steps in and starts to plant doubt, so that the prayer won't get answered.  Do not fall for that.
When we pray as we ought, that prayer is always answered.  However, many times it is not answered the way we expect, or as quick as we would like.  Sometimes it can take months or even a few years.  Other times the Lord uses doctors, picked by Him, and then directs us to those doctors.  It is still a healing and answered prayer.
God does everything with love for us, and He does it His way.  When you pray, thank Him for healing as soon as you pray for it.  Then just believe and follow His lead.  Thanksgiving is a vital part of healing.
In times like these especially, we cannot give up on prayer especially prayers in the spirit.  Always remember that God will not allow us to deal with more than we are able to handle.  Call out to Him and He will meet you where you are and help you.  When it is hardest to do what you should, that is when it counts the most.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!

People Are Different

It Is Written, 1 John 4:7, beloved, let us love one another;  for love is of God;  and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
We go through our daily lives seeing how many people act.  They can be coworkers, they can be strangers on the street, that doesn't matter, we just observe them.  Some people do things that we don't agree with, and we do things that other people don't agree with.  There are many instructions or commandments in the Bible that are difficult to keep.  One of the toughest tells us not to judge others.
Every person on earth does what they do for a reason.  Most people do not even realize what they are doing.  In this message, we won't discuss terrorists are mass murderers, just ordinary people.
People have a comfort zone.  Basically what this means is, most people have a tendency to do things and to think in the way they were brought up. It doesn't matter which rung of the success ladder people are on, they still have a tendency to do what they are comfortable with.  The problem is this type of thing can get so embedded in a person's mind, that they just repeat what people before them did, without giving it any thought.
I would guess that most of us, are considered normal by the standards of the world. We react to circumstances. If things are going good, we have a tendency to be friendly, even helpful at times.  On the other hand if there is a serious illness in the family or any number of other things that can go wrong, we may get depressed, or crabby, hard to get along with, or sometimes just quiet.
The point of the story is, we all face things that have an influence on what and how we get along with other people.  The truth is none of us is any better or worse than anyone else.  We all have our faults, even though we sometimes don't realize it.  One of those faults, is to judge the actions of others.  The Bible tells us not to judge lest we be judged.  One way to look at it, is if we judge someone else, we are basically telling the creator, that He messed up when He made that person, because that person does not measure up to what we think they should be.
If you want to walk in happiness, peace, less stress, then do what the Bible says, do not judge others.  If we must judge someone, we should judge ourselves.  Have a blessed day.  Praise Lord!

Have What Bible Says

It Is Written, John 16:24, until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
If you read the Bible, you have more than likely noticed that beside the miracles Jesus worked, the Bible also mentions many promises.  The biggest problem for most people is that they are unaware of the vast majority of these promises.  Sometimes people think that the promises do not apply to our times.  The fact is they do.
Right now you are probably wondering how you can take advantage of some, or even all of God's promises.  As we all know by now, a promise or guarantee, is only as good as the one making it.  It would then be reasonable to check out the reliability of who you are dealing with.
The best way to find out if God's promises are good, is to check out His record.  The Bible contains hundreds of verifications of promises kept.  He did it then and He will do it now.
When you know the one who you are dealing with, your trust level is guided by the relationship.  The big difference with God is, He is forever, nothing is impossible, and He loves you.  The Bible is a problem to read for many people, so they are missing what it says.  Find a Bible written in modern English, like in an NLT version, and you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy the Bible is to understand.  Do what it says, and get what it says.  God said so.  Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Endurance

It Is Written, James 1:3, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
It is said that most atheists were at one time, Christians.  If you look at the reasons they give for falling away, you will find that the biggest reason given is unanswered prayer.
There are many reasons for unanswered prayer.  We won't go into that here.  The most common reason is interference from satan.  His interference comes in a number of ways.  he prefers to try to put doubt in our minds as to whether God will answer our prayers.  After all it worked in the garden of Eden.
Another thing he does is try to use both sides of the same coin to deceive you.  he is so intense in his efforts that sometimes he puts contradictory messages in our minds, hoping we are so upset we won't notice.
He will tell you things like, God doesn't like you, so he won't answer your prayer.  he takes faith out of the prayers, by piling on the condemnation and past deeds in order to make you feel guilty and unworthy, and to get you to the point where you even forget what you prayed about.
If that doesn't work, he will try to get you angry at God.  he will tell you things like you are so good, how can God not answer your prayer?  he is unfair, and answers prayer on a whim, or on how He feels at the time.  he will even point out people that he says are nowhere near as good as you are, but their prayers are answered.
Just remember this.  God is fair and just at all times.  It may sound like an excuse to some people, but God has a plan for each of us that is better than any plan we can come up with.  Trust God always, and don't buy what satan is selling.  Just resist him in Jesus name, and trust in the Lord.  We all know satan is a liar, so it stands to reason that whatever he says, the opposite must be true.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!

Faith Or Denial

It Is Written, Hebrews 11:1,  now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Everyday life brings its challenges, and we must deal with them the best way we know.  As we have heard in the past, we should turn those things over to God.  This part can cause some confusion.
If you have a problem with finances, you can stress about it, or you can ignore it, and wait for it to get better.  This can be called denial.  Hiding from the problem will not make it go away.  If you try to correct the problem on your own, your chances of success are not good.
If you take the same problem, and ask God to handle it, you have entered the realm of faith.  At this point find a few verses in the Bible where God is promising to take care of your concerns, and stand on them.  Believe in the result, and thank God for the answer.
The faith part is where many people get confused.  The word hope in biblical language means expectation of results.  Even though you turned the problem over to God, you can't just sit there and do nothing.  You must do what that little voice is telling you.  You must ask the Holy Spirit to confirm that the voice is His.  Peace in your heart is what you are looking for.
The problem you have must be recognized as true, but it has no right to exist in your life, if you are a believer.  God's truth overcomes what appears to be true.  Stand on His Word, receive the results in your heart, and it will happen in your life.
If you act in faith, and a friend says you are in denial, don't argue or get upset.  Just trust in God.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!
